  • Jill Duggar Dillard Blown Away by Mother’s Day

Jill Duggar had big plans for Mother’s Day. But what really blew her away was the enormous difference between last Mother’s Day and this one.

“It is so crazy that last Mother’s Day, I wasn’t even married,” Jill Duggar told People. “And now I’m a mom. It is still surreal to me that I’m a mother.”

Coming out of the mouth of many women, that might sound like an admission of a fast lifestyle. But Jill Duggar is one of the many stars of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, married her beau Derick (heh) and kissed him for the first time in June of last year.

Ahead of the plans for the day, Jill Duggar said she was planning on spending the Sunday holiday in quite typical Duggar fashion: at church.

“I’m sure it will be fun. First, Israel will be dedicated at our church, which is just an outward statement where we say we want to raise our child to love God and the church supports us in that. Then, we’ll spend time with Derick’s mom and his family and we may get to see my family, too.”

Jill Duggar is trained as a midwife. Her experiences there, as well as her own personal experience now as a mother, has given her an even deeper opinion about parenting than she was raised with.

“I am so blessed to be a mother,” she says. “There are a lot of ladies who would love to be and can’t. My heroes are my mom, my grandmother, Derick’s mom and those people who have been mothers for a while. I just pray I can be like them, Godly mothers who are loving and always caring for others.”

If tabloid stories are to be believed, it is only those mothers who “properly” conceive their babies within wedlock that get the high opinion of the Duggar clan. The Daily Mail reported that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar forbade Jill from helping a cousin who was pregnant because the woman had conceived the baby without being married.

  • Jessa Seewald Shares Gorgeous Wedding Pics

Jessa Seewald has been pretty active on Instagram lately, and, much to the delight of her fans, she’s posted several gorgeous photos from her recent wedding to Ben Seewald.

The Duggar daughter married on November 1 and has shared several pics of married life, but has also been spending time with her family. Recently she and Ben had dinner with sister Jill and her husband, Derrick, which prompted some confusion after it was revealed that some of the foursome had un-followed others on social media. Rumors that a feud was brewing between the sisters began to spread online, but they have not commented.

The Duggar clan recently got everyone together for a Christmas recital, where several of the kids performed songs together, and the family shared photos of the event on their blog.

The Duggar family has been in headlines quite a bit in recent weeks, as Anna Duggar announced another pregnancy and rumors were flying around the web that Jana Duggar was being set up with footballer Tim Tebow. While there have been conflicting stories about Jana and Tim, gossip sites are saying that Jill and Jessa are growing apart now that they’re married.

“Jessa is able to live for herself now, without the crazy rules — and she is learning who she wants to be — but Jill stayed pretty much the same when she left home,” a source told Starcasm.

  • Jessa Seewald, Jill Dillard All Smiles At Dinner Despite Feud Rumors

Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard are two of several daughters in the Duggar clan, but they have always appeared to be close. Until, that is, an apparent de-friending spree on Twitter that involves their new respective husbands.

When news spread earlier this week that Jill was no longer following Jessa or her husband Ben on the social media site, rumors immediately began to circulate that something was going on with them. Jessa was reportedly following her sister, but not her husband Derrick. However, the foursome recently posed for photos while at dinner and Jill posted them to her Instagram account, which has thrown the media into confusion.

The family got together earlier this month for a Christmas recital at the Duggar home, where Jedidiah, Joy-Anna, and Jeremiah performed “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.” Photos from the evening were posted on the family’s blog.

The Duggar family also posted a tribute to little Josie, who turns five years old this week. The youngest Duggar was born prematurely by emergency C-section, and the family was afraid she might not make it as she fought hard in the hospital. These days, she’s healthy and all smiles.

While it’s unclear why the sisters and their husbands became involved in rumors of a Twitter feud or why any of them stopped following each other, but everything seems to be well in the Duggar house.

  • Jill Duggar Dillard Talks Pregnancy Cravings, Filming Childbirth

Jill Duggar Dillard, the 23-year-old daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, famous for their 19 Kids and Counting reality TV show, is busy working on a brood of her own.

Married to Derrick Dillard and well on her way to having a son of her own, Jill is eager to have as many babies as she can.

“We’re open to as many children as God will give us,” Jill told People Magazine. “We believe children are a blessing from the Lord and a gift from him.”

“We’ve talked about adopting, too,” husband Derrick added. “My mom was adopted.”

“Yeah… this will be only her third blood relative that she knows,” Jill said. “She had two sons and now her grandson.”

The Duggars are adherents of what is referred to as the Chirstian Patriarchy Movement, sometimes called “Quiverfulls”, after the scripture in Psalm 127:

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.”

The Movement is not just about having lots of children. It is also about an order of headship that is established within the home. It has been described as: The husband leads, the wife submits, and the children obey.

Jill and her husband are following in her parents footsteps regarding childbearing. But she also picked up something else from Mom: pregnancy cravings.

“I seem to be following my mom in that,” she said. “Like the dill pickle thing. In my first trimester it was everything cold … because I had nausea. And then I just wanted everything salty, sour, cold.”

Since the family practically lives with their lives exposed to a reality TV audience, might Jill and her husband consider filming the birth of their son?

“We’re still talking about that,” Jill said. “There will definitely be lots of lead up to that. Right now they are filming fun things like the gender reveal and those types of things. Also, we’re doing diary cam at home.”
