  • Duck Dynasty’s Alan Robertson Talks About “The Evil One”

Alan Robertson, the “beardless” Robertson sometimes seen on Duck Dynasty, is hard at work proving that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree stand.

Alan’s dad, Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson, has made no secret about his disdain for gay people.

“We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job,” the elder Robertson famously told GQ. ”We just love ’em, give ’em the good news about Jesus—whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort ’em out later, you see what I’m saying?”

If lumping homosexuals in with drunks and terrorists is “loving them,” gay people would hate to see what this guy says about people he admits to hate.

So when son Alan spoke with Tony Perkins on “Washington Watch” about the recent scandal over pastor subpoenas in Houston, Texas, it was interesting to see where the beardless one would go.

First came his comparison of the United States to Nazi Germany.

“You know, Al, you and your family have experienced this attack on your faith, simply for standing up and saying what you believe,” Perkins said. “You’ve gone through the storm. But the storm continues. I mean, people would rather you be quiet and not use your platform to talk about the fact that there is truth.”

Alan again claimed that the Robertsons’ statements about gay people are because they love them.

“They’ll label you, Tony. I continue to get this label, myself and Dad more than me, these “people full of hate.” And what’s so sad is, it is a complete 180 of truth. We are completely filled with love for folks, which is why we continue to tell the truth,” Alan said, “who God is, and what he wants from us as a people.”

Alan went on to talk about the need to not be silent on matters such as homosexuality, saying, “I can guarantee you the Evil One is not silent in his assault.”

  • Sadie Robertson: We Were Happy Before the Money

The Robertson clan must have themselves one heck of a manager or management team. Despite Phil Robertson’s occasional foot-in-mouth comments that could put the family empire in jeopardy, somehow they manage to come out smelling like a rose, riding any controversy right into an even bigger pile of money.

Through all the limelight and attention, the family keeps on hunting, keeps on going to church, and keeps on being who they are.

Lately Sadie Robertson is taking her turn in the spotlight. Her time on Dancing with the Stars is opening the Duck Dynasty clan to a band of audience that might not otherwise tune in to see them on A&E. Sadie insists on holding to her values in terms of modesty in her costumes and dancing.

Now Sadie has released a book, called Live Original: How the Duck Commander Teen Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values. Written with Beth Clark, the book aims to “share her outlook on life as she opens up about herself and the values that make her family what it is.”

Right off the bat in Chapter One, Sadie sounds off on a note quite in harmony with “Papaw Phil’s” refrain: Happy, Happy, Happy.

Sadie stresses that she believes that we can choose to be happy, no matter what our circumstances are, if we give atention to what we think about.

“Your thoughts determine your destiny. If you want to get a glimpse of where you are headed in the future, start by looking at what you’re thinking about today… Make up your mind to be happy, because your mind is where happiness begins.”

Sadie knows that she and her family are pretty lucky to have the opportunities that they have. Some might say that it is easy for her to be happy with all that money, fame, and opportunity. But Sadie insists that it is the other way around. The Robertsons were a happy bunch long before the money got good.

“Mamaw Kay and Papaw Phil did not have much money back then, and they definitely were not “famous” like they are today. But they were happy… We saw them love God, love each other, and love our family. We knew from the time we were really young that these things are what make people truly happy.”

She particularly describes family patriarch Phil Robertson as happy, even though some might see him as stern or surly.

“Papaw Phil … is happy because he is totally comfortable with himself, and he has no need to impress anybody. He knows what he believes and he sticks to it, no matter what other people think. He tells the truth exactly as he sees it, and if people don’t like it, that does not bother him. I have never seen him sad or shaken; he is solid. And he’s happy.”

How Sadie was raised works for her and for her family. She may expand her horizons and go on to do huge things, but she says she is happy already. And she knows why.

“All of our family is happy—because our happiness is not based on being on TV or on any of the things that come with it.”

  • Sadie Robertson Finds It Hard To Stay a Virgin, Even As a Christian

Sadie Robertson, daughter of Duck Dynasty family members Willie and Korie Robertson, is coming into her own. She recently told TVGuide that she is not meekly following her family’s faith path anymore.

“For my whole life I’ve kind of been shadowing what my family says,” Robertson said. “They’ll say something about my faith and I agree. But now, it’s time for me to say, ‘This is who I am as well.’ I’m not hiding behind my family anymore. I’m sharing my faith by myself, which has helped me to be more bold and more confident saying things. It’s the same God; it’s the same faith. It’s just my opportunity to share it in my words. And I have enjoyed it. It’s been good for me and I’ve grown a lot from it.”

One of the facets of her faith that Sadie Robertson is adamant about is saving herself for marriage. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, she talked about her decision.

“I don’t really date guys who don’t feel the same way,” Robertson said. “It’s going to be way harder if we went into a relationship having different opinions about that. It’s something a couple really has to decide together.”

Just because she has a particular religious path she follows doesn’t make sticking to her guns any easier for Robertson.

“People are like, ‘It must be easy for you because you’re Christian.’ That doesn’t make it any easier for me,” Robertson said.

Many people who want to be exclusive with one person, but figure they are currently in a relationship that they intend to stay in forever, will allow sex in that monogamous setting. Not Robertson.

“You never know who you’re going to end up with. Who knows if my boyfriend will be my husband?” she said. “I’ve always thought that I would marry young, but it just depends on if I have the right guy with me.”

  • Duck Dynasty’s Jep Robertson Almost Dies

Duck Dynasty star Jep Robertson suffered a seizure while hunting last week and almost died … well at least that’s what Jep says.

“Well, I about died this past Sunday…I’m doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive,” Jep, the youngest son of the family patriarch Phil Robertson and his wife Kay Robertson, tweeted on Saturday, October 25.

“Earlier this week while deer hunting, Jep suffered from a seizure,” the family said in a statement to E! News. “Thankfully, he was in the stand with friends, and [brother] Willie was at the hunting camp when it occurred so he was by his side in a matter of minutes.”

Luckily, Jep was hunting with his brother Willie, who was able to get him to a local hospital for treatment. The cause of the seizure has not been determined.

“He is doing well now, but is still in the hospital for additional tests and observation and he is being treated with antibiotics to cover a range of possible infections believed to have caused the seizure,” the statement added.

“Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support and ask that you keep Jep, Jessica and their children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time,” the family continued.

Thankfully, the 36-year-old father of four is on the mend and is expected to make a full recovery.

Season seven of Duck Dynasty is set to premiere on A&E on November 19.

  • Sadie Robertson Saving Herself for Marriage, But Struggling

Sadie Robertson has made it known that she is saving herself for marriage, but it seems she might be struggling with her decision. Does this mean the Duck Dynasty star and Dancing With the Stars competitor is thinking about having sex with her boyfriend Blake Coward? The two have reportedly been dating for about 10 months.

No. Sadie and Blake seem very firm about their decision.

“It’s something a couple really has to decide together,” Sadie said in a recent interview. “People are like, ‘It must be easy for you because you’re Christian.’ That doesn’t make it any easier for me.”

Sadie Robertson’s parents, Willie and Korie Robertson are no doubt breathing a giant sigh of relief knowing that both Sadie and Blake are honoring their religious values.

“I don’t really date guys who don’t feel the same way,” Sadie Robertson recently admitted. “It’s going to be way harder if we went into a relationship having different opinions about that.”

It seems Blake Coward and Sadie Robertson were even raised in the same kind of church, so it’s likely his entire family shares the beliefs the Duck Dynasty family puts into practice on a daily basis. Sadie has honored her faith while a contestant on Dancing With the Stars by wearing reasonably modest costumes and not performing any overtly sexual dance moves.

The Blaze points out how Sadie shows great concern and restraint regarding what the audience will see. She expressed her thoughts about this week’s rumba, and how she hoped it didn’t ‘come off as sexy.’

“I hope this week, it doesn’t come off as sexy, but it comes off as sweet,” she said. “It’s just so awkward to me, and when I get awkward, I laugh a lot.”

It came off as a huge hit. Check out how the judges reacted. Congratulations to Sadie and Mark on their amazing performance. And congratulations to Sadie for continuing to honor her Christian beliefs and for choosing to date someone who will honor her as well.

  • Sadie Robertson: ‘DWTS’ Contestant Congratulates Brother

Sadie Robertson took a break from her Dancing With the Stars rehearsals this week to congratulate her big brother John Luke Robertson. John Luke popped the question to his girlfriend Mary Kate McEachern and she said yes. The Duck Dynasty family member became officially engaged over the weekend.

Sadie offered her congratulations to both her brother and his fiancee via Instagram.

Sadie Robertson was spotted just a few days before her brother’s engagement wearing her hair in a pair of adorable braids as she and DWTS pro dancer Mark Ballas prepared for tonight’s show. The two are dancing a rumba for this week’s competition.

Pitbull is filling in as guest judge for Len Goodman on tonight’s episode of Dancing With the Stars. Sadie Robertson will wear a ballerina-inspired costume that is gorgeous, but a bit on the sexy side, too. Duck Dynasty dad Willie Robertson must first approve any costumes Sadie wears on stage.

“I feel like a ballerina in it,” told E! before the show started. “It’s so beautiful. I love it.”

Maybe if Willie Robertson has a problem with Sadie’s costume, he’ll be too excited about son John Luke’s engagement to enforce his modesty rules this week. Even though the outfit is beautiful, it is sheer and a bit low cut.

Congratulations are certainly in order for the grandson of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson and his future bride Mary Kate McEachern. And best wishes to Sadie Robertson on Monday’s Dancing With the Stars performance.

  • Mary Kate McEacharn Engaged To Duck Dynasty Star John Luke Robertson

John Luke Robertson is officially off the market!

The 19-year-old Duck Dynasty star popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Mary Kate McEacharn over the weekend.

Robertson, the son of Willie Robertson, decided to ask McEacharn to marry him on his 19th birthday. The fact that she said yes made this the ultimate birthday present ever!

“I am so excited to marry my best friend,” John Luke told Us Weekly in an exclusive statement.

“I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what ‘could be’ to me,” he added. “Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us.”

The couple shared the exciting news in a series of sweet photos on their Instagram accounts.

The first picture shows John Luke holding up a sign that reads “The future Mrs. Robertson” and Mary Kate showing off her new diamond. “Happy Birthday to the boy I’m going to marry,” she captioned the photo. John Luke posted the same photo with a caption that read, “She said yes.”

  • Duck Dynasty Scion John Luke Robertson Engaged at Age 19

Sadie Robertson isn’t the only third-generation member of the Robertson dynasty to grab headlines this week. John Luke Robertson, son of Willie and Korie, is now engaged to be married, at the age of 19.

The Duck Dynasty cast member put a ring on Mary Kate McEacharn over the weekend at his own 19th birthday party.

As a member of a family whose every move is watched by the press, John Luke released a press statement about his engagement.

“I am so excited to marry my best friend. I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what ‘could be’ to me,” he told E! News. “Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us.”

John Luke’s own parents, Willie and Korie, were married when they were 19 and 18, respectively.

But this is a teenager. A press statement is one thing. Where is a teen gonna make the big announcement? Instagram, of course.

“She. Said. Yes. @missmarymcmcmc,” the caption read.

As for Mary Kate, she responded with a, “Happy Birthday to the boy I’m going to marry.”

  • Mary Kate McEacharn Engaged to Duck Dynasty Star

Despite falling ratings, Duck Dynasty and its stars continue to be, against all odds, a cultural phenomenon in the U.S. The Robertson family, now far from their duck call roots, has become a staple of cable and network TV alike.

Sadie Robertson is the latest member of the family to take the spotlight. The 17-year-old has survived four weeks of the ballroom dancing competition TV show Dancing with the Stars, impressing the judges and receiving generally high scores.

Now Sadie’s older brother is making headlines with a significant birthday and important life decision. John Luke Robertson is now engaged to Mary Kate McEacharn. The proposal took place on Robertson’s birthday and was publicly announced by McEacharn through her Instagram account.

John Luke spoke out about the proposal as well, telling Us magazine that McEacharn is his “best friend” and that “God has truly blessed” the couple. The reality star also headed-off criticism, stating that his parents married young and have served as an example for him.

According to Us the proposal was attended by Sadie, who traveled home to Louisiana to be a part of the occasion. The siblings’ foster sister, Rebecca, was also present at the time and posted another look at the happy couple on Instagram.

Despite the continued popularity of the Robertson family, it appears that Duck Dynasty is on the decline. Ratings for the show have been sinking steadily for over a year now, possibly due to controversy.

In an interview in late 2013 Phil Robertson, family patriarch and grandfather of Sadie and John Luke, first revealed his anti-gay views. He and his family have since reiterated those opinions, pointing to their Christian beliefs as the reason for them.

  • Sadie Robertson: Did She Spill Some ‘Duck Dynasty’ Beans?

Sadie Robertson recently did an exclusive web interview and dished about her time on Dancing With the Stars. She might have also slipped up and divulged something about Duck Dynasty that the Robertson family–and A&E–might not have wanted fans to know. Did Sadie inadvertently spill the beans?

Fox reports that Sadie shared that the scariest part of competing on Dancing With the Stars–at least for her–is performing live.

“That freaks me out because I’m on Duck Dynasty, it’s like recorded way, like 3 months before it shows,” Robertson said of performing for her family’s reality show. “We get to record it like 10 different times if we mess up. This is like, you get one shot. If you mess up, 15 million people see it.”

Very interesting–don’t you think? Does this mean that not only does Sadie Robertson get to record over her mistakes, but the whole Duck Dynasty clan does, too? That translates into the possibility of some very scripted scenes between Phil Robertson, Uncle Si, Wille Robertson, and the rest of the guys. Does this mean Miss Kay and Korie Robertson–along with Sadie–might not have so many warm or witty conversations, but perhaps study a script beforehand instead?

Fox 411 reports that viewership of Duck Dynasty has dropped by close to 50 percent from season five to season six. Season five saw 8.5 million viewers, whereas the number dropped to just 4.3 million the following season. Could the drop be due to these allegedly scripted scenes?

Do you think Sadie Robertson spilled the beans about Duck Dynasty being a scripted show, and not the actual day-to-day life as lived in ‘reality’ by the Robertson family? Will the Duck Dynasty family come to regret Willie and Korie Robertson’s decision to allow Sadie to compete on Dancing With the Stars?

  • Sadie Robertson Trades in Mark Ballas For Derek Hough on DWTS, New Pair Have Fun at ‘Duck Dynasty’ Homestead

Sadie Robertson recently had to switch partners on Dancing with the Stars, and the Duck Dynasty heiress seems thrilled to trade in Mark Ballas for Derek Hough this week.

A new rule on the popular dancing series calls for partners to switch mid-season.

There have been reports that the high school student was a little nervous while waiting to find out who her temporary Dancing with the Stars partner would be. Apparently, there was one pro she really didn’t want to be paired with — Val Chmerkovskiy.

According to Wetpaint, the fan favorite said she was “intimidated” by Val. She shared her thoughts on the dancing pro during an episode of The Badie Show, a YouTube documentary she created with fellow competitor Bethany Mota to share their DWTS experience.

Robertson said that she gets “nervous” around Chmerkovskiy, and Mota concurred, saying he can be really “intense.”

“Yeah, I’m, like, intimidated by him. I really am,” Sadie said, with a nervous giggle. “I don’t know, he’s so scary to me.”

Chmerkovskiy has been paired with Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish, but he’ll dance with Back to the Future star Lea Thompson during the big switcharoo.

Derek, a five-time Mirror Ball Trophy champion, has been staying with the Duck Dynasty clan in Louisiana, and he and Sadie are having a great time riding four-wheelers and getting in some shooting practice in between their practice sessions.

  • Sadie Robertson Defends Grandpa Phil Robertson: ‘He’s My Family and Family Sticks Together’

Sadie Robertson killed it on Dancing With the Stars Monday night surrounded by the entire Robertson clan.

The 17-year-old high school student’s father Willie and uncles Jase, Si and Jep helped out with her Duck Dynasty-inspired dance with partner Mark Ballas by using duck calls.

The routine was awesome and earned the team 37 out of 40 points.

Before the performance, a segment was aired of Sadie sharing about why the year 2012 was the most important of her young life so far — it’s the year Duck Dynasty first aired.

In a clip, which aired prior to the performance, Sadie, whose DWTS costumes are all dad-approved, said her life was turned upside down in 2012 when Duck Dynasty first aired.

“I was 14 and I didn’t realize how big it was going to be,” she said. “But there’s definitely been some bad things about being in the public eye.”

Sadie said it was all good, recalling the first time someone asked for her autograph. She went on to say there was the negative flip-side of fame.

“Everybody knows who you are and they’re looking for you to mess up,” she said. “My grandpa said some things that upset some people and the press came after him.

“My family would not be where we are without our faith. That’s what’s carried us this whole way. You know, we put our faith in God and we like to share that with everybody.”

Sadie said it became so difficult for the family following her grandfather Phil’s comments about homosexuality to GQ magazine in Dec. 2013, the Robertsons nearly called it quits.

“The thing is, no matter what he would have said, we would have stuck by him, because he’s my grandpa,” Sadie said. “Yeah, he’s very opinionated, but he’s my family, and family sticks together.”

  • Sadie Robertson Stands Up for ‘Duck Dynasty’ Grandpa Phil on ‘DWTS

Sadie Robertson had the opportunity to stand up for both her grandfather, Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson, as well as for her faith, during a clip that aired prior to this week’s performance on Dancing With the Stars. Several members of the Robertson clan were on hand to watch Sadie dance with pro Mark Ballas, including her dad Willie Robertson, and three of her uncles. In fact Willie, along with his brothers Jase and Jep, and their Uncle Si, started off Sadie and Mark’s performance by using their Duck Commander duck calls.

“I was 14 and I didn’t realize how big it was going to be,” Sadie Robertson said about the inception of Duck Dynasty. “But there’s definitely been some bad things about being in the public eye.”

She added that her family and her faith–her Robertson roots–helped her through some recent difficult times.

“Everybody knows who you are and they’re looking for you to mess up,” she said. “My grandpa said some things that upset some people and the press came after him.

Sadie was speaking, of course, about Phil Robertson’s negative comments about homosexuality that appeared in GQ magazine about 10 months ago.

“My family would not be where we are without our faith. That’s what’s carried us this whole way. You know, we put our faith in God and we like to share that with everybody,” she said. “The thing is, no matter what he would have said, we should have stuck by him, because he’s my grandpa. Yeah, he’s very opinionated, but he’s my family, and family sticks together.”

The Duck Dynasty family–well, at least Sadie Robertson’s dad Willie–has stuck close by her Dancing With the Stars performances. He has approved each of the costumes she has worn for her performances, making sure they are modest enough for their family’s morals.

Those strong morals certainly haven’t prevented Sadie Robertson from becoming quite the dancer. She and Mark Ballas scored 37 out of 40 points–a very impressive score for the evening.

  • Duck Dynasty and Phil Robertson Causing Gay Marriage Support to Drop, Conservative Says

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.” – Mark Twain

According to a new Pew Center poll, support for gay marriage dropped slightly between February and September of this year, from 54 percent to 49 percent.

That is a statistic that could be used to draw some interesting conclusion, if one were inclined to do so. And Maggie Gallagher is inclined to do so.

Gallagher is often cited as a “conservative columnist”. She is associated with the National Organization for Marriage, an outfit that sounds like it might do event planning, but actually spends most of its time trying to stop people from getting married — gay people, that is.

Writing in the National Review Online, Maggie Gallagher crunched the Pew numbers and announced her summary analysis that support for gay marriage did not just fall, but is falling, and that the nation has Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson to thank for it.

“[S]omething happened over the last year to give traditional Christians second thoughts about what gay marriage would mean,” wrote Gallagher. “What could that be?

“The most likely candidate is A&E’s decision to suspend Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson, after he expressed, rather colorfully, rather standard orthodox Christian views on gay sex.”

Gallagher is referring to Robertson’s GQ interview in which he expressed disbelief that a man could actually prefer another man’s anus over a woman’s vagina. He further backed up his stance in a sermon soon thereafter, listing what some see as biblical condemnations against homosexuality and other sins.

What Gallagher does not point out, but that the Pew publication noted, is that the polling “finds a slight drop in support for allowing gays and lesbians to marry, with 49% of Americans in favor and 41% opposed – a 5-point dip in support from a February Pew Research poll, but about the same level as in 2013.”

Gallagher does mention Salon writer Gabriel Arana’s point that, “It seems pretty likely support for gay marriage is leveling off; you simply can’t expect it to jump 10 percentage points every two years. But it’s unlikely that the trend line is dipping. Individual poll results matter less than they do in the aggregate, and this is the only one thus far showing support for marriage equality dropping. It may very well be an outlier.”

Gallagher expresses her view that pressure in mainstream society to label anti-gay marriage advocates as “bigots” has caused vocal opposition to quiet down. Gallagher insists that Christians should only support political candidates who are still willing to be vocal about where they stand on the issue.

“If you are one of the people who actually care about these issues — for whom protecting life, marriage, and religious liberty is not a political strategy but a reason for being in politics — the candidates’ silence will hurt your cause. You donate to or otherwise support candidates who adopt a mute strategy at your own peril.”

  • Sadie Robertson Does “Dancing” Modestly

Sadie Robertson has been one of the most interesting Dancing with the Stars contestants to watch this season.

Her outfits are, so far, surprisingly modest and beautiful and her performances are really great.

Her performance this week with Mark Ballas was a sweet waltz to “Married Life” from the movie Up. You know, the song you cried all the way through as it showcased the life of Carl and Ellie?

Her costume was an adorable yellow vintage dress and was perfect for the part.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P1JOC6ASs8

Their performance was lovely and ended with Sadie Robertson floating away on the movie’s signature mass of balloons. The judges were won over and Robertson and Ballas earned an admirable score of 32.

“So far tonight, that was my favorite dance,” said Carrie Ann Inaba.

Bruno Tolioni said, “Totally and utterly charmed.”

The dress was most likely daddy-approved by the 17-year-old’s father and Duck Dynasty star, Willie Robertson.

Sadie Robertson and her dad have a long, and hilarious, history when it comes to what Sadie wears.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1_6SPts0Qc

It was likely incidents like this that inspired Sadie Robertson to design her own line of modest prom dresses, even though the school she attended at the time didn’t allow dancing and did banquets instead.

Of course, you still need a formal for a banquet.

Sadie Robertson’s costume for this week’s Dancing with the Stars was even more modest than last week’s country outfit.

But, as Ballas said, “It was definitely a little edgier, you can’t be soft and sweet every week.”

Besides, it must have had the approval of the notoriously conservative family.

“My mom said I did a great job and hugged me, so they’re proud of it,” Sadie Robertson said.

What do you think of Sadie Robertson’s daddy-approved costumes?

  • Sadie Robertson: My Grandma Approved My DWTS Costume

Sadie Robertson is killing it on the dance floor with her partner Mark Ballas as they take the stage week after week on everyone’s favorite dancing competition Dancing with the Stars.

This past week, Sadie, the daughter of Duck Dynasty’s CEO Willie Robertson, and Mark performed a sexy country jazz routine that made judge Carrie Ann Inaba wonder what her conservative family thought of her short dress and risqué moves. Sadie revealed that her dad approves all of her dancing costumes and even her great grandmother approved of the dance moves.

Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson stopped Sadie after the show to ask her more about her family’s opinion of her dancing on the show.

“Honestly, my mom and my grandma and even my great grandma were in our practices and watched it, and if anything would’ve been bad I’m pretty sure my great grandma would have said something,” she said. “If grandma and great grandma like it then that means my dad’s gonna like it.”

“Yeah, grandma came and she was like, ‘I like it,’” Mark added.

Sadie, a junior in high school who opted to be homeschooled this year so she could be on the show, has never been to a school dance or had any other professional dance lessons. Her former school did not hold school dances and instead hosted junior and senior banquets. Sadie said that it was different dancing in front of so many people, but she was excited to take on the challenge.

“I mean, it’s nothing really weird for me – that’s how I’ve grown up,” she said. “We just don’t go to dances and stuff, so it’s different to come out here and dance in front of 15 million people and I’ve never danced in front of anyone before.”

“But then again, it’s made this whole experience fun, something new to take on,” she added. “I mean, I’m loving it.”

  • Sadie Robertson Needs To Get ‘More Down And Dirty’ To Win On Dancing With The Stars

Duck Dynasty heir Sadie Robertson has been doing well on the new season of Dancing With The Stars, but she might have to step it up to win the competition. Professional-dancer-turned-judge Julianne Hough told the footloose 17-year-old recently that she would have to get “more down and dirty” to win it all, according to TMZ.

Robertson’s father, Willie Robertson, wholeheartedly disagreed with that advice. When asked what he thought when Hough said it, he replied, “I was thinking she shouldn’t get ‘down and dirty’. Get off the ‘down and dirty’! I’m gonna tell Julianne about that.” He and his wife have been supportive of their daughter by being in the studio audience to cheer her on.

Her strong performance on the show has been impressive, considering that Robertson came from a high school where dancing is strictly forbidden. The administration of Ouachita Christian School in Monroe, Louisiana has imposed a ban on all school dances.

Neither her father nor her school need to worry about her wardrobe choices for the show, though. Robertson reportedly wanted to prove on the show that Christians could have fun. “The key is to be confident in yourself. You don’t have to be sexy if you’re confident because it takes care of itself,” she said. “I think it’s having fun in a good way. I think that Christians are liking it in the same way that everyone is liking it, too.”

Despite Hough’s advice to her, Robertson was thrilled that the judge found her performance of the cha cha with partner Mark Ballas good enough to call her “the complete package”. Ballas told Access Hollywood that his partner was a big fan of Hough’s, and Robertson confirmed that she had been excited and trying to keep her cool while Hough was talking to her.

Judge Bruno Tonioli called her a “duckling no more” and “a bird of paradise” on the dance floor, while Carrie Ann Inaba said to Robertson, “You’re a star, honey. You don’t even know it yet.”

  • Sadie Robertson Has What it Takes to Win ‘DWTS,’ Says Partner Mark Ballas

Sadie Robertson, of Duck Dynasty fame, made her mark on the Season 19 premiere of Dancing With the Stars last week and is looking forward to continuing to wow on tonight’s episode.

Despite having no dancing experience, the adorable 17-year-old came out strong with professional partner Mark Ballas last week, performing a cha cha that prompted judge Bruno Tonioli to call her, “a bird of paradise,” and helped her lock in a second place finish for the week.

Ballas told Access Hollywood‘s Liz Hernandez that the young Duck Dynasty heiress has what it takes to be the next Mirrorball Trophy winner.

“I definitely feel like we have potential for sure, yeah,” said Ballas. “It’s only Week 2 coming up, but you can keep taking it day by day, week by week, but I definitely feel like she has potential, yes.”

Julianne Hough, former dance pro and new judge on the show, gushed over Robertson’s performance, calling Robertson “the total package.”

“It was the best feeling ever. I was so excited,” Robertson told Access Hollywood. “I was like, trying to like keep my cool. … And then, when we got back there I was like, ‘Yeah!’”

You would think the inexperienced high school student would be most nervous about the dance routine each week, but Robertson said it is facing the judges after the routine that has her most on edge.

“I think the hardest part is just listening to what the judges have to say because I’m so sensitive, so I know the day I mess up and it’s like, they’re just killing me, I know I’m gonna get emotional,” she said.

“She warned me, she was just like, ‘I’m just warning you now. … I’m really sensitive,’” said Ballas. “I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ She’s like, ‘Well, when the judges, if the judges say something tough on me I’m probably gonna cry.’ And I was just like, ‘It’s okay.’”

  • Sadie Robertson: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Sweetheart and Favorite

Sadie Robertson may very well be the sweetheart on season 19 of Dancing With the Stars, but sources say she’s also a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor, too. The Duck Dynasty star impressed fans and judges, too, during her first week of competition with her dance pro partner Mark Ballas.

Christian Today reports that all the judges sang Sadie Robertson’s praises following her performances during the opening week. Sadie was most excited to be critiqued by Julianne Hough–a two-time mirrorball trophy winner, professional dancer, and judge for season 19.

“Oh my gosh, it was huge,” Sadie said. “It was so much fun. I really let loose and had fun with it. I loved it.”

Sadie Robertson scored two 8s and two 9s from the panel of four judges that included–in addition to Julianne Hough–Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba.

Mark Ballas had plenty of positive things to say about Sadie Robertson, too.

“Not to mention, I was very impressed with Sadie who just pulled it out of the bag. She hit this “on” switch that I hadn’t seen in rehearsals yet. It blew me away! She was so cute, and her face lit up the whole room. She had a lot of rhythm, which is amazing for someone with no dance experience. She’s naturally gifted — she’s got it!” he wrote on his blog.

Sadie is very clearly looking forward to week two of Dancing With the Stars competition. She posted an Instagram photo that she captioned, “WE ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT MY JAM MONDAY who is pumped to see what #thequackpack has chosen ?!? @markballas @dancingabc”

Did you see Sadie Robertson’s performance last week on Dancing With the Stars? It’s easy to see how her humble, modest ways could easily make her this season’s sweetheart. Do you think she has the dancing prowess to take her throughout the entire season or do you expect she might be among those who peter out early in the game and head home soon?

  • Duck Dynasty: Phil Robertson Blasts Political Correctness in America

Phil Robertson doesn’t let things like hospitalization or getting suspended from his own television show slow him down. The outspoken patriarch of the Duck Dynasty clan has no problem using whatever medium is at his disposal to proclaim the truth as he sees it.

Maybe he’s being interviewed in a gentlemen’s magazine. Maybe he’s on Fox News. Maybe he’s in front of the church he helped found. Phil is always Phil.

And now Phil is railing about something else that he feels strongly about: political correctness.

“Somewhere along the way, political correctness trumped biblical correctness in America,” Robertson says in his new book, unPHILtered: The Way I See It. “And in my opinion it’s the cause of many of our country’s problems today. Political correctness tries to dictate what is right and wrong, instead of our country having a moral system of righteous laws. Our society is overly sensitive, and we seem to be fixated on building up people’s self-esteem and confidence. Hey, everybody needs constructive criticism once in a while. The way things are going, it’s okay to have an opinion in America, as long as you don’t offend anyone and don’t quote the Bible.”

Robertson cites several instances of what he sees to be a preference of political correctness in America over what he calls “biblical correctness”. One such example is that of former Alabama judge Roy Moore, who was removed from the bench by a state ethics panel in Alabama when he refused to removed a Ten Commandments monument in the state capital rotunda.

Robertson makes his case that American jurisprudence is based on the Ten Commandments, citing “Thou Shalt Not Murder” and “Though Shat Not Steal” as proof that our laws were supposedly based on these maxims.

He says that life would be better and cases of juvenile criminal behavior and divorce would not clog the courts of “Honor Thy Father and Mother” and “Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery” were practiced.

One of his more outrageous claims is about Christmas.

“Don’t even think about putting a nativity scene near a courthouse or public building! They might throw you in jail.”

There is no evidence whatsoever that putting up a nativity scene at a courthouse will get one arrested.

  • ‘Duck Dynasty’ Patriarch Phil Robertson Okay After Hospital Visit

Duck Dynasty star and patriarch Phil Robertson is doing just fine following a visit to an L.A. hospital a few days ago.

The Epoch Times reports that Phil Robertson’s undisclosed illness caused the cancellation of a Duck Dynasty appearance by two other members of the Robertson family at the Bloomsburg Fair, and that it caused some concern for granddaughter Sadie Robertson following her appearance on Dancing With the Stars.

“We are sorry to have to announce that the Evening With The Robertson’s Show at the 159th Annual Bloomsburg Fair has been cancelled due to an unexpected conflict in scheduling,” the fair announced. “The Evening With The Robertsons was to feature A & E’ Duck Dynasty stars Willie & Korie Robertson, who were going to answer questions submitted by local fans of the show, who wanted to know how the Robertsons as a couple have raised their children, operated a successful business, dealt with celebrity status, and maintained successful, loving marriage for many years.”

Conflicting reports say Willie and Korie backed out because Sadie Robertson was appearing on Dancing With the Stars. Sadie was noted to have said, however, following her performance this past week, that her grandfather was hospitalized.

“My grandpa actually had to go to the hospital tonight. So a lot of them are with him,” Sadie reportedly told Life & Style following the results show on Wednesday.

No word on what the Duck Dynasty star was hospitalized for or what his present condition is made news this weekend.

Sadie Robertson did say on Wednesday following the results show that her grandfather is ‘going to be fine.’

Do you suppose Phil Robertson and more of the Duck Dynasty gang will show up to watch Sadie’s second week on Dancing With the Stars?

Will Phil make a full recovery?
