  • Drake Bell and Josh Peck: “Grandfathered” to Provide Setting for “Drake & Josh” Reunion

Drake Bell and Josh Peck–stars of the Nickelodeon show from the early 2000s, Drake & Josh, will soon be reuniting on the small screen.

Josh Peck, who now stars alongside John Stamos in Grandfathered, will soon realize the dream of a Drake & Josh reunion right on the set of his current show.

Drake & Josh ended nine years ago. Drake Bell and Josh Peck played mischievous stepbrothers who were always getting in trouble for something.

In the so-called Drake & Josh reunion, Drake Bell will play the role of a tech investor to whom Gerald (Josh Peck) and Vanessa (Christina Milian) will pitch their new app.

In case you haven’t already noticed–and you weren’t a huge Drake & Josh fan–the two actors were known for the line, “Hug me, brotha.”

The Grandfathered episode featuring both Drake Bell and Josh Peck will air Tuesday, February 9, at 8:30 p.m. on Fox.

  • Miranda Cosgrove: ‘iCarly’ Star Lands NBC Comedy Pilot

Miranda Cosgrove, probably best known for her role on Nickelodeon’s iCarly, has landed a new comedy pilot on NBC. The show is about two adult children who move back home with their parents who–up until the move–were empty-nesters. That definitely sounds like a story line that many–both young and old–can relate to these days.

As yet untitled, the pilot is being written by Hot in Cleveland writer Suzanne Martin, and will be directed and executive produced by James Burrows. Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner of Hazy Mills Productions will also serve as executive producers.

The sitcom has yet to be fully cast. Miranda Cosgrove will play the role of Shea, the younger of the two sisters to move home. She is a bit socially awkward and has a doctorate in astrophysics. Shea dreams of becoming an astronaut. This certainly sounds like a fun role for the former iCarly star. The role of the older sister hasn’t yet been filled.

This isn’t the first NBC pilot that Miranda Cosgrove has landed. In 2013 she was cast in Girlfriend in a Coma, but the show wasn’t picked up.

In addition to her role in iCarly, Miranda Cogrove starred in Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh. She also starred alongside Jack Black in his film School of Rock.

Hopefully the role in this NBC comedy pilot launches Miranda Cosgrove back on to prime time TV. She might one day soon be one of NBC’s weeknight stars.

  • Drake Bell Of Nickelodeon Fame Files For Bankruptcy

Former Nickelodeon child star Drake Bell is in some financial trouble.

The former Drake & Josh star recently filed for bankruptcy, claiming that he’s $581,000 in debt. According to TMZ, Bell makes $2,820 a month, but his expenses run up to $18,771 a month. He is also listing the value of his house at $1.575 million, but it seems he owes $1.597 million. Bell also had a significant drop in his yearly income from 2012 to 2013. While he says he made $408,000 in 2012, he only made $14,099 in 2013.

It seems many Justin Bieber fans are happy with this turn of events in Bell’s life. Recently Bell spent some time on Twitter bashing Bieber for his recent troubles with the law and then continued to just bash him in general.

Two tweets he wrote on January 16 about Bieber after the egging incident have since been deleted, but thanks to Gossip Cop who published them in time, we know they said, “Hey @justinbieber how much are you paying Lil Za to take the coke wrap for ya? Be a man and take responsibility. Learn to be an ADULT!” Bell then tweeted, “@justinbieber instead of egging speeding around your neighborhood and defacing property like a little s–t you should practice your guitar!!”

The only one from that day he didn’t deem necessary to delete still wasn’t very nice.

So of course, Beliebers think this is some sort of karmic retribution. You don’t mess with the Biebs man.

Most recently Bell has been focusing on his music career, releasing the single “Bitchcraft.” He has also been doing voices for different characters in animated work.
