  • Apple “Has Every Reason to Believe Dr. Dre Has Changed”

Apple “Has Every Reason to Believe Dr. Dre Has Changed”

It’s a pretty big month for Dr Dre.

He’s just released a new album, which is being met with rave reviews. A movie about him, in part, is riding high at the top of the box office. Apple, a company for which he works, recently dedicated an entire branch of its new streaming music platforms to the company he founded.

But with extra attention comes extra scrutiny, and all this talk about Dre has led to some of the abusive episodes of his past coming to the forefront.

Now, for the first time, Apple has addressed its exec’s past.

Dre has apologized for the mistakes he’s made in the past and he’s said that he’s not the same person that he was 25 years ago. We believe his sincerity and after working with him for a year and a half, we have every reason to believe that he has changed.

    Ok, well, kind of.

Dre himself offered a lengthier response to criticisms that the film Straight Outta Compton glosses over his violent past – particularly that involving women.

Dre issued an apology to “the women I’ve hurt.”

“Twenty-five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life. However, none of this is an excuse for what I did. I’ve been married for 19 years and every day I’m working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the way. I’m doing everything I can so I never resemble that man again,” said Dre. “I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.”

  • Dr. Dre’s Assault Scene Scrapped From ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Movie

Shortly after its opening on Friday, the biopic Straight Outta Compton, hit number 1 at the box office. It earned $56.1 million dollars over the past weekend.

Critics who saw the N.W.A biopic had good reviews for the film but there was one important part that was apparently cut from the story — Dr. Dre’s assault on a female journalist.

The biopic omitted the part where Dr. Dre physically attacked Denise “Dee” Barnes, in January 27 of 1991. The script did initially include the part about the “assault” but the director, F. Gary Gray, cut the part and chose to focus on N.W.A instead.

Barnes, a hip hop journalist, was attacked after she did an interview with Ice Cube, who had a dispute with N.W.A after parting with them. Dr. Dre beat the female journalist at a nightclub.

Los Angeles Times learned that the original script by Jonathan Herman, described Dre as “glazed, drunk, with an edge of nastiness and contempt.” He saw Barnes and confronted her about the interview with former member, Ice Cube.

“The conversation between the rapper and the hip-hop journalist escalates to the point where Barnes throws her drink in Dre’s face, at which point he attacks her by “flinging her around like a rag-doll, while she screams, cries, begs for him to stop,” the script, containing the omitted scene, read.

An essay from Barnes was published in Gawker earlier this week. Barnes commented on the obvious omission of her encounter with Dr. Dre. She admits she does not want to see “a depiction of me getting beat up” but she wished that the film acknowledged that it happened. She went on to call the biopic a “revisionist history.”

Dr. Dre owned up to his “horrible mistakes” said Rollingstone. Learning from the past, he said he will never repeat the same mistake again.

  • Dr. Dre’s New Album Streams Thursday on Apple Music

If you’re looking to hear Dr Dre’s first album since we were all up in arms about Y2K, you’ll need to go through Apple – as it’s an iTunes and Apple Music exclusive.

But if you have Apple Music, which you probably should, as it’s still free for most of you, you can listen to it this Thursday evening.

Compton: A Soundtrack will be streaming at 6pm ET on August 6th. The album hits iTunes the next day.

And it looks like it’s going to be uncensored, unlike everything else that Apple Streams on its Beats 1 radio.

I guess when you’re an executive at the company, you can pull some strings.

  • Apple Is Censoring Dr. Dre (and Everything Else) on Beats 1 Radio

Today, Apple launched Apple Music to the world. And Apple’s always on, “progressive” radio station Beats 1 is currently censoring the music it plays worldwide.

Apple, who gave Dr. Dre a “senior role” in the company when it acquired his Beats company last year, is bleeping out curse words in songs from The Chronic.

“Beats 1 is a place for progressive radio programming. Alongside new music programs from our anchor DJs, we’ve invited some of the biggest artists in the world to make brilliant radio shows — from exclusive weekly DJ mixes to interviews with iconic musicians about albums that changed their lives. Beats 1 plays everything from old-school hip-hop to futuristic pop, and it’s all handpicked by people who live and breathe music,” says Apple.

And edited tracks, like if someone gave Walmart a deck and its own radio station.

Apple confirmed to BuzzFeed that “it is censoring explicit content on Beats 1, and it’s doing it worldwide. The company declined to provide any further comment.”

Other popular internet radio destinations like Pandora do not censor content, instead providing an “explicit filter” if listeners choose to block explicit content.

It looks like Apple wants to keep Beats 1 family friendly. This really shouldn’t surprise anyone, considering Apple’s draconian regulation of App Store apps.

  • Suge Knight: Black Kapital Records CEO Charged With Murder

Suge Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records and founder and CEO of Black Kapital Records, has been charged with murder in a hit and run death that took place near the set of a promotional shoot for Straight Outta Compton in Los Angeles.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Knight was arrested at approximately 3 AM local time Friday morning in L.A., and is being held on $2 million bail.

Suge Knight’s lawyer James Blatt confirmed Thursday night that Knight was the driver in a fatal accident that resulted in the death of one man. The man was identified as 55-year-old Terry Carter.

According to sources, the aforementioned shoot had wrapped and Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, who were at the shoot, weren’t present at the time of the hit-and-run accident. Universal declined to comment. An LASD press release states that homicide detectives arrived to investigate the circumstances surrounding a fatal hit-and-run around 3 PM local time on Thursday. When they got to the Compton scene, the detectives learned that two men were hanging out at the rear parking lot of a business when a red pickup truck approached. Suge Knight reportedly began arguing with the two men. The argument escalated and Knight backed up, striking one of the men. He then drove forward over both victims.

Lt. John Corina of the LASD detectives unit, told the media that at least one of the victims was a member of the film crew. Corina said that a few minutes following an argument on set, the men visited Tam’s Burgers near Central and East Rosecrans avenues. Suge Knight is believed to have followed the men in his truck before running them over and leaving the scene of the crime.

“They obviously knew each other,” Corina told the LA Times. “They got into some kind of verbal altercation and it escalated. So far the people we talked to said it looked like an intentional act so we are handling it like a homicide.”

Suge Knight is scheduled to appear in court for this murder charge on February 3rd.

  • Kelly Clarkson Drops New Album Hints on Twitter

Kelly Clarkson has been a busy mom since giving birth to daughter River Rose back in June. Now it seems the ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ singer is dropping some significant hints about a new album in the works–her first in close to three years.

Clarkson and hubby Brandon Blackstock have shared lots of photos of their baby girl via social media, but until recently nothing on social media involved her work. That all changed on January 3rd, however.

That’s the day Kelly Clarkson used Twitter as her means of sharing some incredibly exciting news with her fans–the first in quite some time.

She posted a trio of tweets that are causing serious speculation.

ET reports that Kelly Clarkson sang with Trisha Yearwood back in September. The clue regarding Dr. Dre seems to have everyone stumped, however.

In 2013, Kelly released a Christmas album called Wrapped in Red , as well as a greatest hits album.

Clarkson confirmed that the first single to drop from the new album is coming in January, so hopefully all of the Twitter hints she shared will make sense then.

Are you excited to know Kelly Clarkson will soon be making a new album again?

  • Dr. Dre Is The Highest Paid Musician Of 2014

Rapper and producer Dr. Dre raked in an estimated $620 million in 2014, making him the highest-paid musician this year, ahead of Beyonce Knowles, who earned a measly $115 million, by comparison.

Dre, born Andre Romelle Young, made his 2014 millions through the sale of his bass-heavy Beats Electronics line of headphones and speakers to Apple Inc. for roughly $3 billion in May.

Rock band The Eagles came in at third place, after pulling in $100 million during their latest world tour. Bon Jovi came in at fourth on the list with $82 million, followed by Bruce Springsteen with $81 million.

Pop confection Justin Bieber made $80 million, British boy band One Direction netted $75 million, DJ Calvin Harris saw $66 million and “Roar” singer Katy Perry made $40 million.

Twerking sensation Miley Cyrus earned $36 million, and Lady Gaga pulled in $33 million.

Dre, the CEO of Aftermath Entertainment, has been associated with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Xzibit, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar, and has been recognized as the creator of the West Coast G-Funk sound.

    Spring Break, Myrtle Beach, 1996:

Dr. Dre co-founded Beats Electronics with Interscope-Geffen-A&M Records CEO Jimmy Iovine in 2006. The rapper took to Youtube with Tyrese Gibson after selling his brand to Apple, declaring himself hip hop’s first billionaire:

Dre got his start as a member of the influential gangster rap group N.W.A, which featured Eazy-E, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella, and shot to superstardom after his 1992 solo album “The Chronic.”

Dr. Dre won a Grammy in 1993 for “Let Me Ride”:

  • Ice Cube Dishes On N.W.A. Biopic ‘Straight Outta Compton’ On Jimmy Kimmel Live

Rapper Ice Cube dished on the N.W.A. biographical film Straight Outta Compton when he made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on October 21, Monday. Ice Cube told host Jimmy Kimmel that the film had just wrapped principal photography and proudly shared that his son was starring in the film.

“My son is in it, he plays me in the movie, so I’m extremely proud of that, that’s cool,” Ice Cube said.

Although O’Shea Jackson, Ice Cube’s 22-year-old son, seems like a no-brainer to play his father, the rapper maintained that he still had to audition for the role. “Hell yeah. He had to win the part. I ain’t givin’ up nothing free. He’s spot-on. He was born to play the part,” said Ice Cube.

Set for an August 15, 2015 release date, Straight Outta Compton is directed by F. Gary Gray of The Italian Job, and produced by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. The film documents the rise and fall of the rap group composed of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella that hailed from Compton California. In the film, Paul Giamatti lends his acting chops by playing manager Jerry Heller.

Ice Cube also praised the largely unknown young actors in the cast for doing “a hell of a job”. Many of the people depicted in the film reportedly visited the set to give their input. “We had everybody that was around at that time, back on the set, giving their two cents. Everybody was either mad they wasn’t in the movie enough, or mad they was in the movie too much,” said Ice Cube.

The rapper also played another round of “Ice Cube Saying Nice Things Angrily” with Jimmy Kimmel, reprising the hilarious segment he did the first time he was on the show. The segment showed viewers how Ice Cube put his aggressive signature on comments about pleasant things such as baby spinach in smoothies and rainbows.

  • Beats Music: Bought So Apple Could Shut It Down?

When Dr. Dre sold off Beats Music and the rest of his Beats brand for upwards of three billion dollars, it was assumed that Apple had big plans.

The sort of plans that would allow Beats Music to flourish as is.

However, a report by TechCrunch claimed that the tech giant intends to eventually shut down Beats Music.

The $10 per month streaming service was launched in January by Dre and Jimmy Iovine, known by many for his mentoring work on American Idol.

When word got out that Apple did not add the Beats Music app on the new iPhone 6, it was considered a virtual death knell for the service.

It has also been reported that certain Beats Music engineers have been moved to iTunes-related jobs.

For many observers, all signs point to bad things for Beats Music. This has lead to questions regarding what it is that Apple actually wanted with the streaming service.

Did Apple really buy it to simply shut it down in the end?

Apple has since released a response to ongoing rumors about the fate of Beats Music.

Tom Neumayr, PR representative for Apple, told Recode that the report by TechCrunch was simply “not true”.

Although Neumayr wouldn’t explain why the report wasn’t true, there have been theories made as to what it is Apple intends to do with the Beats Music brand.

One prevailing belief is that Apple won’t simply shut Beats Music down. Instead, the service will be phased into Apple’s existing products overtime. Some believe it will eventually be linked to iTunes.

Brett Golden, who is the president and co-founder of The Chart Lab, also went on record with his belief as to what Apple intends to do to Beats Music.

Said Golden, “Now that I see this, it’s telling me that Apple doesn’t really want any outside brands.”

This makes sense. Beats is a globally known name, just like Apple. They are distinct and hardly interchangeable.

It could be that Apple simply wants the product and not the attached name.

As disappointed as some fans may be that the end could be near for Beats Music, we’ll have to wait and see what Apple truly has in store for the brand.

  • Suge Knight Shot at Chris Brown’s Pre-VMAs Party

Suge Knight was reportedly shot multiple times at an unofficial pre-MTV VMAs party hosted by Chris Brown very early on Sunday morning. The former Death Road Records CEO was said to have been led to an ambulance by police following the shooting. Family members and sources have since indicated that although Knight was undergoing surgery several hours ago, his injuries weren’t thought to be life threatening.

It is reported that four shots were fired at approximately 1:30 A.M. inside 1 OAK’s L.A. outpost. The party had started at about 9:00 P.M. Chris Brown indicated the start of the bash via Instagram with a captioned photo.

“We bout to turn the [f–k] up!!!!” he wrote.

That Instagram post has since been removed from Brown’s account.

Following the shooting, Chris Brown was singing a completely different song.

Suge Knight took over the role as Death Road Records CEO back in the 1990s, alongside both Dr. Dre and The D.O.C. His iron fist method of running the company, however, wasn’t taken to by the likes of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, who felt alienated by Knight. Suge Knight also found himself immersed in the East Coast/West Coast feud that that pitted Death Row and Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Bad Boy Records against one another.

Suge Knight ultimately wound up facing a wealth of legal troubles and even a lengthy jail sentence that ended his run in the music world in the early 2000s. He clearly has his hand–or at the very least his interests–embedded somewhere in the music world these days, however. Otherwise why would he have been a guest at Chris Brown’s party? Of course Brown doesn’t have the best legal record either. His assault conviction–from beating Rihanna–landed him in prison for quite some time. Maybe the two bonded over jail house tales?

News will likely soon emerge as to Suge Knight’s medical status following this shooting and his subsequent surgeries. Regardless of his past, people are no doubt united in prayer for his speedy recovery.

  • Apple Excitedly Welcomes Beats ‘To The Family’

Apple Excitedly Welcomes Beats ‘To The Family’

Apple’s acquisition of Beats is officially official. The company even put out an extra special landing page welcoming the team to the Apple family. Most of its acquisitions are barely even acknowledged.

Apple’s “welcome to the family” message says:

Today we are excited to officially welcome Beats Music and Beats Electronics to the Apple family. Music has always held a special place in our hearts, and we’re thrilled to join forces with a group of people who love it as much as we do. Beats cofounders Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre have created beautiful products that have helped millions of people deepen their connection to music. We’re delighted to be working with the team to elevate that experience even further.

And we can’t wait to hear what’s next.

Over on the Beats by Dre site, visitors are greeted with this message:

By the way, when Cook says “the entire beats team,” it’s possible that this is only for a limited time for some.

The acquisition comes after winning EU approval earlier this week.

  • Trent Reznor Will Remain With Beats Music

Trent Reznor is not leaving the Beats Music company.

Last week, Apple announced that they would be purchasing Beats Music and Beats Electronics for $3 billion, and founders Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre would be joining the company.

However, there was speculation that the company’s chief creative officer Reznor would not be following and was reportedly leaving the company.

Despite the rumors, Reznor and Beats officials have confirmed that he WILL be remaining with the company once the deal with Apple is closed on September 30, 2014.

The Nine Inch Nails frontman, who has won both a Grammy and Oscar award for his music, was hired by Beats in January 2013 to help build the company’s streaming services. At the time, lovine said that Trent would “bring an emotional connection back to the act of music discovery.”

“It was pretty mind-blowing,” Reznor revealed about the first time he entered the company. “He [lovine] asked me to solve a problem with the hardware he’d been having – an interesting riddle to me.”

“I’d hear him speaking excitedly about his concept of a streaming service with curation at the forefront. My eyes lit up,” Trent added. “I said, ‘Hey, in my own world, I agree that a product like that feels like the right move, from a consumer standpoint.’ We started executing that. I think I’m the longest employee here now at this point.”

Although Trent’s reps have already made it clear that he will remain the CCO of the company, Reznor also took to Twitter to confirm this as well.

“YES I am still CCO of Beats Music and looking forward to what lies ahead with Apple” Reznor tweeted.

  • Apple Officially Announces Beats Acquisition

You knew it was coming, but now it’s official. Apple just made the announcement that it has agreed to acquire Beats Music and Beats Electronics. Co-founders Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre will be joining the company. The price is approximately $2.6 billion and approximately $400 million that will vest over time.

“Music is such an important part of all of our lives and holds a special place within our hearts at Apple,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “That’s why we have kept investing in music and are bringing together these extraordinary teams so we can continue to create the most innovative music products and services in the world.”

“I’ve always known in my heart that Beats belonged with Apple,” said Beats co-founder Jimmy Iovine. “The idea when we started the company was inspired by Apple’s unmatched ability to marry culture and technology. Apple’s deep commitment to music fans, artists, songwriters and the music industry is something special.”

I think we’ve already heard how Dre feels about it.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval of course.

  • Apple Is Buying Beats Because It Has an Assload of Money (Says Funny or Die)

Apple Is Buying Beats Because It Has an Assload of Money (Says Funny or Die)

The big rumor in the tech world this week is that Apple is in talks to acquire Beats Electronics, makers of the Beats by Dre headphones and recent launcher of a streaming music service. The news came out of left field, and left many analysts scrambling to figure out just what the hell was going on.

Beats is a very well-known brand with considerable marketing talent, and Apple is severely lacking when it comes to having anything resembling a streaming music competitor–but most people are a bit perplexed about this one.

So, why would Apple want to buy Beats?

Because they have a shit-ton of money, of course.

Yeah–billions and billions of dollars…so why not, right? And why stop there? Why not expand and just acquire everything? That’s what Funny or Die says. Why not bring Totinos pizza rolls into the Apple family? After a handful of acquisitions, Apple would still have 145.7 gajillion dollars to throw around.

I say go for it. Any headphone would be better than Apple’s earbuds, and that includes a tin can on a string–which I think Beats can top.

  • Dr. Dre Beats Deal: An Apple For Dre Keeps The Dr. Well Paid

Dr. Dre Beats Deal: An Apple For Dre Keeps The Dr. Well Paid

Those who “forgot about Dre”, will remember him well after his recent Beats deal with Apple

When he and Interscope buddy Jimmy Iovine came up with the idea for the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones in 2008, the invention was meant to supplant those god awful ear buds that come with your ipod. The still sought after headphones continue to grace the good doctor’s bank account with additional zeroes years after their inception.

Last year alone, Beats headphones raked in about a billion dollars.

That may be why Apple is buying the company that sells the popular product for $3.2 billion.

Andre Young (which – if you don’t know, now you know – is his government name) pretty much confirmed as much in a recent video posted to Tyrese Gibson’s Facebook page.

The footage shows the 49-year-old Death Row Records co-founder with party-goers “getting drunk off Heinekens” and celebrating hip hop opulence. And why not, when he’s about to be the “First billionaire in hip-hop, right here on the motherf—–g West Coast!”

    Or is he?

Conferring with the judges (over at Forbes), I’m being informed: not quite.

While that final financial figure (after capital gains taxes) may make Dre $200 million short of landing that “billionaire” label, it may still seem a better deal compared to the work and effort of making an album or doing a tour after. That’s a matter sparking a fan schism. After scouring Twitter, I see an even opinion mix supporting both sides. If producing rap’s your passion, the deal’s less appealing. But if making paper’s the priority, the doc’s rocking the rap world.

Indeed, if the video announcement is true, Dr. Dre will be the hip hop kid with the most toys – if we’re measuring status in cash, not new albums. And I’m not being snarky. I just know a few people who might like to use those majestic headphones to actually enjoy “Detox” sometime before they die.

But if we consider him as a person (which, I know, is hard in “I/ME” culture), he’s also an artist by trade and a man with a family. As an artist, he’d admittedly “rather be behind the scenes and organizing”. So it’s not altogether surprising that someone with an auditory gift for quintessential sound prefers to propagate protégé’s or fantastic music devices.

Also, given his age and the tragic passing of his son, perhaps family and time spent with friends is more of a life priority. Our opinions on the life of a man we don’t know are ultimately immaterial, but I’m just offering a different perspective for fans craving ear refills from the hip-hop doctor.

Plus, hope’s not lost for Detox. He’s still recording:

Forbes status, new albums, or not – Mr. Young’s an old school hip-hop classic who’s managed to remain relevant in his field. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be reading this.

Congratulations on your deal, my dude.

  • Apple Said To Be Close To Acquiring Beats For $3.2 Billion (Plus An Awesome Video With Dre Celebrating With Tyrese Gibson)

Apple is said to be in talks to buy Beats Electronics (of Beats by Dre fame) for $3.2 billion, which would be Apple’s largest-ever acquisition and make Dr. Dre the richest rap star in the world, according to Forbes. He’s already buying Tom Brady’s mansion in L.A.

The acquisition news comes from the Financial Times, which reports that the deal could be announced as early as next week, but could still fall apart. It says that Apple will get the recently launched Beats streaming music service, as well as the audio equipment business, and that the Beats management team will report directly to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Obviously neither company is commenting. But there is this (via TheNextWeb), which is fantastic (NSFW language):

That video appeared on Tyrese Gibson’s Facebook page, but was then pulled.

Here’s what Twitter thinks about the news:

  • Gisele Bündchen And Tom Brady Offered $40M For Mansion From Dr. Dre

New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen listed their $50 million mansion up for sale. Less than 2 months after the listing, they have already found a buyer – entrepreneur, record producer, and rapper Dr. Dre.

According to news sources, Dr. Dre has already made an offer in the Brentwood, California mansion and is currently in negotiations to finalize the deal.

The couple is selling the mansion fully furnished, but Dr. Dre said that he does not want a furnished home as he has his own furniture and “stuff” to place in the mansion.

Brady and Bündchen have spent more than $40 million in a span of almost 5 years to remodel and design the home. The decision to put it up for sale came when the couple decided to move to Boston permanently.

TMZ reported that that Dr. Dre is in love with the mansion and immediately offered to purchase the house as soon as it went up for sale in March. The main house consists of six bedrooms, and nine bathrooms, while the eco-friendly home on the grounds has eight bedrooms. The mansion also consists of a waterfall, an infinity pool, and a home gym.

The $50 million home is just befitting for Dr. Dre, as he is worth an estimated $550 million according to Forbes.

Brady and Bündchen purchased in the property for $11 million in 2008, but building the home took years to finish. The home was fully built by 2013.

If the deal pushes through, Dr. Dre will be neighbors with other celebrities including Heidi Klum and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Mr. and Mrs. Brady’s plan for their new home in Boston has already been approved by the town. Their new home will sit on 5.2 acres of land in the Chestnut Hill area. It is said to feature five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a spa, a pool, and a motor court.

  • Beats Headphones Will Launch Streaming Music and New Ads in January

The start of a new year is looking pretty bright for the business model of Beats headphones by Dr. Dre, including new music and more innovative ads.

For starters, in January, Beats Electronics will launch Beats Music, a new service of streaming music.

Two of the developers of the new streaming service include Trent Reznor and Rob Sheridan, and Reznor already claims it to be “a game-changer.”

According to the New York Times:

“Beats Music, a subsidiary company of the headphones maker Beats Electronics, is clearly intending to challenge Spotify as the predominant subscription streaming service. Two weeks ago, Beats Music ran a full-page advertisement in The New York Times (saying “coming soon,” and little else), and it is expected to arrive with a blitz of television ads.”

One ad in particular will continue to push forward the popularity of Beats headphone’s product colleagues, the Pill and Pill XL.

The featured hip-hop sensation, Kendrick Lamar, and Dr. Dre preview a brand new song for the Pill and Pill XL speakers in one of their upcoming 90-second commercials.

Lamar and Dr. Dre are seen recording in the studio when the Compton-based rapper, also wearing Beats headphones, becomes frustrated with the track. Dr. Dre suggests they take a break and record later.

The Pill and Pill XL come to the rescue after Dr. Dre and Lamar play the song on them. Realizing what the track is ultimately lacking, Dr. Dre calls Lamar and they return to the studio to record, adding in new lyrics and drums.

Lamar is obviously satisfied and the ad ends.

As far as Beats Music, the CEO is ready to get the ball rolling.

“We are locked and loaded, ready to launch here in the U.S. in January 2014,” said Ian Rogers, Beats Music Chief executive, on a blog post Wednesday.

Maybe the full track of Lamar and Dr. Dre’s teaser will be available in Beats Music’s playlist. Let’s hope so.

Rapper and songwriter Eminem recently released a preview of his new single, ‘Berzerk’, on Slim Shady’s website. The video is a preview of what is to come on his new album titled “Marshall Mathers LP 2”.

The music video clip of “Berzerk” begins with the words “Take your shoes off, let your hair down, go berserk all night long.” The rapper then continues: “We’re gonna rock this house until we knock it down, so turn the volume loud.” Later on in Berzerk, Eminem raps: “Life’s too short, so now go for broke.”, according to The Inquisitr.

All that has been currently released is a preview of the song “Berzerk”. The full song will premiere tonight at midnight, according to reports. Ever since he made a comment in August of 2012, suggesting that he was working on a new album, fans have not stopped thinking about it. It is available for purchase on iTunes. The full album, “Marshall Mathers LP 2”, is scheduled to be released on November 5, 2013. Marshall Mathers was the name that he was born with, so that’s where the title comes from. Rick Rubin and Eminem’s co-producer, Dr. Dre, are the executive producers of the new project.

Last night during the Video Music Awards on MTV, the release date for the new album was shown on a commercial, unveiling the date for the very first time. The commercial was for Beats by Dre.
