  • Lea Michele Talks Cory Monteith One Year Later

Lea Michele is remembering Cory Monteith today–the one-year anniversary of her boyfriend and former Glee costar’s untimely death. Monteith died from a heroin overdose in a Vancouver hotel room last July. The two had been dating for more than a year. Even though the actress and singer has started to move on, she will forever hold dear her treasured memories of time spent with Cory Monteith.

Lea and Cory starred opposite each other on Glee–she in her role as Rachel Berry and Cory as Finn Hudson–and were at one point a romantic couple on the show as well as in person.

Earlier on Sunday Lea Michele posted a touching tribute to Cory Monteith in the form of a tweet. It includes a photo of the young actor with a backdrop of a beautiful beach sunset.

Lea’s message was retweeted by former Glee costar Chris Colfer and thousands of followers and fans.

Several other Glee cast members also tweeted their tributes to Cory Monteith on Sunday.

Matthew Morrison had the following to say.

    Dot-Marie Jones posted two tweets.

Amber Patrice Riley shared the following message.

Jenna Ushkowitz posted a photo on Instagram in memory of Cory. Her caption reads, “365 days since you’ve gone and not a day passes we don’t remember your smiling face. We miss you buddy. Thanks to everyone for your love and support today while we remember our quarterback.”

Among the more poignant messages–sent via Twitter–came from Glee’s creator Ryan Murphy. Simple and understated, it spoke volumes.

While Cory Monteith’s family members and Lea Michele are no doubt feeling a much deeper level of grief over his passing a year ago, it’s plain to see that his costars are still feeling his loss, too. Perhaps after this first year of mourning many will find some closure in the aftermath of Cory’s tragic passing.

  • Dot-Marie Jones Marries Longtime Girlfriend

Glee star Dot-Marie Jones married her longtime girlfriend Bridgett Casteen on Saturday. A rep confirmed the marriage. The two tied the knot at their home in L.A. in the company of close friends.

Jones, known for her role as Coach Shannon Beiste on the FOX hit show Glee, became engaged to Casteen at Disneyland back in October. She proposed to Bridgett during Anaheim Gay Days.

Those who attended the wedding on Saturday didn’t realize what was actually in store. Instead they believed they were simply attending a Christmas party at Dot-Marie Jones and Bridgett Casteen’s home–the ruse under which they were all invited. Once there, they were informed of the impending nuptials.

Dot-Marie Jones thanked Jamie Kennedy via Twitter for her wedding congratulations.

Casteen, who has already changed her Twitter account to “Bridgett Jones,” alluded to her excitement prior to tying the knot with Dot-Marie Jones on Saturday.

It’s likely before the day is out that Jones’s Glee costars will all be chiming in with sincere congratulations of their own.

Christmas is such an exciting time already, and Dot-Marie Jones and Bridgett Casteen will forever remember the holiday now with a twofold meaning. May their life be filled with the love and joy they shared with their friends and family at their wedding on Saturday.

  • Dot-Marie Jones Ties The Knot With Bridgett Casteen

It’s official! Glee star Dot-Marie Jones, and her long-time girlfriend Bridgett Casteen, have tied the knot!

Jones is best known for playing Coach Shannon Beiste on the popular fox television show. She proposed to Casteen, while at Disneyland during the Gay Days Anaheim weekend in October. Once Casteen had accepted Jones’ proposal, Casteen took to Twitter to share the news with all of her friends, family, and fans. She tweeted: “Thank you [Jones] for making me the happiest woman in the world.” “It’s the happiest day of my life. I never though I’d find somebody that is so loving and kind,” Jones said at the time.

On Saturday night, the couple invited their close friends and family over for a Christmas party. However, their guests were soon surprised to find out that they would actually be witnessing the couple’s wedding ceremony.

The morning of her surprise nuptials, Casteen posted a tweet on Twitter that read: “Oh happy day.” Casteen also changed her profile name from Casteen to Jones. Although this is the first marriage for Jones, 49, this is the second marriage for Casteen, 39, who has two children from her previous marriage.
