  • Donald Trump Shares Ideas On Taxing The Wealthy

Donald Trump stopped by Fox & Friends on Monday morning to talk about his ideas on taxes, saying he disagrees with his GOP rivals regarding how much the wealthy should pay.

Despite the economical benefits of taxing the very rich the same as the working-class–namely, the fact that they would pay less in taxes on additional income, which could push them to seek work–Trump says he believes that those who make a lot of money should pay more in taxes than those who make very little.

“The one problem I have with a flat tax is that rich people are paying the same as people that are making very little money. I think there should be a graduation of some kind,” Trump said.

Trump’s controversial stances and statements haven’t kept him from taking the lead over his Republican rivals, but they have ensured he isn’t making any friends on the campaign trail. Back in July, he made several disparaging comments about Senator John McCain which earned him backlash from an audience in Iowa.

“He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured,” Trump said. He later amended his comments, saying he didn’t feel that way about all war heroes.

“I’m with the veterans all the time. I consider them heroes. If somebody’s a prisoner, I consider them a war hero…I think John McCain’s done very little for the veterans. I’m very disappointed in John McCain,” Donald Trump said, adding that McCain is “yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job.”

Donald Trump recently gave voters an “I-told-you-so” after a market slump in China brought on a financial slump around the world. Trump says he’s been warning the U.S. for years about having such a heavy dependency on China.

“I’ve been talking about China for years. Because China’s going bad it’s going to bring us down, too, because we’re so heavily coupled with China. I’m the one that says you better start uncoupling from China because China’s got problems,” Donald Trump said.

  • Megyn Kelly Going On Vacation Following Donald Trump ‘Blood Coming Out of Her Wherever’ Comment

Megyn Kelly is going on vacation. And despite what people think of the Fox News host and star of The Kelly File, it really seems like she needs the break.

“It’s been an interesting week. A long six months, without a vacation for yours truly, do you know that? It’s been six months since I’ve had a vacation. Just ask my assistant,” Megyn Kelly announced on Thursday. “So I’ll be taking the next week and a half off, spending some time with my husband and my kids, trying to relax.”

Kelly co-moderated the recent GOP debate, and was the brunt of an incredibly tasteless comment two days later.

“I don’t have a lot of respect for Megyn Kelly—she’s a lightweight,” Donald Trump said. “She gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions and, you know, you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”

Yes, Megyn Kelly needs a vacation.

“The big challenge is trying to put down the Electronica and unplug it,” she continued during her on-air vacation announcement, holding up her cell phone before asking the audience. “Can you do it?

“When you go on vacation, I am going to try to look at my little one’s faces and go for bike rides and play at the beach and not look at you,” she said. “And when I see you back here on the 24th, we’ll pick it all up again. Have a great week. See you soon.”

Donald Trump’s campaign office issued a statement about the Megyn Kelly “blood coming out of her wherever” comment after it caused quite an outrage.

“Mr. Trump made Megyn Kelly look really bad—she was a mess with her anger and totally caught off guard. Mr. Trump said ‘blood was coming out of her eyes and wherever,’ meaning nose, but wanted to move on to more important topics. Only a deviant would think anything else.”

The day after Trump’s comment, Megyn Kelly addressed it on the air.

“You may have heard that there was a dustup between yours truly and presidential contender Donald Trump. Mr. Trump was upset with a question I asked him at the debate last week about his electability and specifically comments he had made in the past about women,” she said.

Whether you do or don’t like Megyn Kelly, you have to admit she needs this vacation. Hopefully she is successful at tuning out all forms of media, and can simply enjoy this time away with her husband and her children.

Do you think Donald Trump’s statement was the catalyst for her sudden getaway?

  • Megyn Kelly Insists She Didn’t “Attack” Trump At Debate

Megyn Kelly continues to defend her line of questions that was directed at Donald Trump during last week’s debate.

As one of the moderators for the debate, Megyn Kelly was tasked with lobbing the questions at the potential candidates, but some say she zeroed in on Trump from the beginning.

One particular question began a war of words between Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump.

During the debate, Megyn Kelly asked the Donald, “Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter.”

She added, “However, that is not without its downsides. In particular when it comes to women, you’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals…”

Donald Trump joked to Megyn Kelly that he was only referring to Rosie O’Donnell, but she pressed on.

Megyn Kelly continued, “Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton who is likely to be the Democratic nominee that you are part of the war on women?”

After the debate, Trump went on the defensive claiming that Megyn Kelly’s questions were “off-base” and “ridiculous.”

He then infamously added, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.”

Many a critic of Trump’s has insisted that Trump was referring to her menstrual cycle and have called him a pig and many other colorful names.

But Megyn Kelly, after the initial backlash, has insisted that she was not attacking Trump during the debate.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IkbH5mEFxE

Sunday, on Fox’s Media Buzz, Megyn Kelly said, “My job is to go out there and ask probing questions that are hopefully smart and help the people learn something about this person and, in this context, their weaknesses.”

She added, “It was a fair question.”

What do you think? Was Megyn Kelly’s question fair? Was Trump’s response pigish or was he just being Trump?

  • Ivanka Trump Wants Dad To Back Off Illegal Immigrant Insults

Ivanka Trump has reportedly been pushing back on some of the Donald’s controversial illegal immigrant statements.

It seems even Ivanka Trump was shocked at his comments during his announcement speech on June 16th.

During his announcement, Ivanka Trump’s dad said, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems.”

He added, “They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they’re telling us what we’re getting.”

The statement sent a shock wave through the political stratosphere that Donald Trump then surprisingly rode to the front of the line of possible GOP candidates.

Since the announcement speech, Donald Trump has made a few other shocking comments and has lost many a financial backer and business relationship, but he refuses to back down, to the apparent dismay of Ivanka Trump.

Ivanka Trump, according to New York magazine, asked Donald Trump to back-peddle the statements and even submitted a few drafts of a loose apology that he could make, but Trump has since refused to take back what he said.

Legal immigrants want border security. It is common sense. We must build a wall! Let's #MakeAmericaGreatAgain!

A friend of Ivanka Trump’s reportedly said, “She’s close to her father and is sensible enough to know a problematic situation.”

Could the Donald go so far as to lose his daughter, Ivanka Trump’s, support?

What do you think about Ivanka Trump’s stance on her dad’s bold statements?

  • Salma Hayek Thinks Donald Trump’s Insensitive Comments About Mexicans Are A Good Thing

Salma Hayek is not bothered by Donald Trump’s seemingly anti-Mexican comments. In fact, the comment is almost a good indicator of the kind of politics the US have.

In a statement she made in an interview with Jorge Ramos of Fusion, she said, “The good thing about what Trump did is that [his comments] shone a light to the level of the problem of racism. The minute he attacked the Mexicans, his numbers went up.”

Donald Trump has made negative comments concerning Mexican immigrants. The 48-year-old actress said that Trump is “uninformed” when it comes to such issues. In another interview with Good Morning America dated August 5, Salma shared her opinion, “Immigrants are an important force of work in the United States.” She added, “Anybody who is informed knows this.”

According to her, politicians should stop using these kinds of issues to get people’s attention. Statements like the ones made by Trump might be taken seriously by people.

She admitted in LA Times that she is not insulted by such stupidity. The actress went on to say that everybody is entitled to be dumb, referring to the baseless statement the presidential candidate had made.

Salma Hayek concluded that people should be vigilant so as not to be “manipulated” by words coming from powerful people including politicians, “That is that the educated people or the people with great human values have to wake up, because they are under the illusion that most of this country is like them and sometimes they don’t even go to vote.”

Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s negative statements about undocumented immigrants caused objection from the public. Other Mexican and Latino stars that slammed Trump’s racist comments include Ricky Martin and Shakira to name a few.

  • Donald Trump Is Certainly Winning the Google Search Battle

Donald Trump Is Certainly Winning the Google Search Battle

Google Trends has produced an interactive county-by-county map of the most-searched Republican Presidential candidates – and it’s monochromatic.

That dark red represents Donald Trump, who is pretty much dominating Google searches across the country – unless you head to Wisconsin, where Scott Walker receives the bulk of the attention.

After Walker, Jeb Bush wins a handful of scattered counties.

    Check out Google’s map:

If you look at the second-most searched candidate, there’s a lot more Bush.

Donald Trump is a lot of things. Ignored is not one of them – at least at this stage in the competition. Twitter recently provided data on overall mentions on its platform over the past month, and it’s not even close. Trump received 2.7 million mentions, and his closest competitor was Scott Walker with 354,000 total mentions in the time period.

Real Clear Politics’ aggregate polling data has trump up 10.4 points over Jeb Bush.

  • Salma Hayek: Donald Trump Appeals To Dumb People

Salma Hayek is experiencing somewhat of a resurgence. Not that the star ever went away, but she has found a footing as a voice for causes in addition to her acting work.

Salma Hayek has long been outspoken politically and is a vocal advocate for women’s rights globally. Hayek explains that she was not always so eager to use her fame as a loudspeaker for causes.

“At first I felt I shouldn’t get attention for that work [activism],” Hayek told the LA Times. “I thought I should only get attention for my work as an actress. But now I’m advocating just to say that we can be better than we are. Life is exhausting. Sometimes we fall into the river of life and it just takes us, and we don’t get to look around or swim or stop to drink it. By the time we realize it, we got to the end of it and it’s over. We should take control over it.”

Another cause Hayek supports is the fight against discrimination against immigrants in the United States. Hayek, who was born in Mexico, once revealed that she was an illegal immigrant for a short time. As she struggled to build a career in the U.S., she says she faced an uphill battle because of prejudice.

“I had to endure the worst time of all in terms of racial discrimination in Hollywood when I first started out,” Hayek told V Magazine in Spain. “It was inconceivable to American directors and producers that a Mexican woman could have a lead role.”

Hayek is in a unique position to comment on Donald trump’s incendiary statements about Mexican immigrants. Her take on it? It is a simple maneuver designed to fool dumb people. And it is working.

“It’s a very simple tactic for self-promotion,” Hayek says of Trump’s jingoistic statements. “What’s sad is how easily people are manipulated. I’m not insulted because I cannot be insulted by stupidity. Everybody’s entitled to have uninformed opinions. Everybody’s entitled to be dumb. But I’m not dumb, so I see through the manipulation. We have something to learn from this. That is that the educated people or the people with great human values have to wake up, because they are under the illusion that most of this country is like them and sometimes they don’t even go to vote.”

  • El Chapo Out Of My League, Says Dog The Bounty Hunter

Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán is on the run. After being tunneled out of a Mexico prison, then throwing a challenge to Donald Trump via Twitter, the drug kingpin is busy not getting arrested again.

Maybe America’s premiere bad-guy catcher, Dog the Bounty Hunter, can catch El Chapo?

“He probably would be out of my league,” Dog said of El Chapo.

“In order to take him down,” Dog said, “you better have a fully automatic weapon. With my weapon, you have to get really close to him – and you couldn’t get that close to him because he probably has five or six guys with him at all times.”

“[Also], there would have to be two or three of you to take him down because he is going to shoot it out next time. Last time, I heard they surrounded him and gave him a chance to come out.”

But an even bigger obstacle for Dog the Bounty Hunter catching El Chapo is that he could be arrested for trying it. Bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico. Dog himself was once arrested for capturing an American rapist. He got out of Mexico without having to do jail time himself, but he is no hurry to go try his luck again, even if he had a chance of nabbing El Chapo.

“I have learned to stay in my own country,” Dog said. “You can’t even talk about arresting a guy in Mexico.”

El Chapo is a drug kingpin, not a basic drug user. So Dog the Bounty Hunter has no problem seeing him brought to justice. But when it comes to basic users, he has a different philosophy than you might expect.

“Prison is for the violent [criminals] — not for the non-violent or someone who is maybe not educated enough and won’t commit the crime again,” he says. “If it is non-violent, it means that people made mistakes. We are spending so much money on them and we have no room for the killers!”

“I have arrested so many drug addicts that have come to me said, ‘Dog, I don’t want to do it. It is something inside me,’” he says. “Now what if his parents were addicts and it is in his DNA? Well it is. I have arrested third generation drug addicts.”

Dog makes a persuasive argument for not jailing on-violent drug offenders, and it even makes sense financially.

“The guy that gave dope to a little girl, keep him there. But [the non-violent drug users], you gotta get them out. We don’t need to be spending $360 a day. It costs more to keep a man in jail than it does to put that same man through a cheap college.”

  • Rush Limbaugh And Donald Trump Share This Success Secret

Russh Limbaugh recently took time to parse out the mess that Donald Trump finds himself in after insulting John McCain. Not surprisingly, he defended Trump, insisting that Trump’s words had been taken out of context. But more importantly, he says McCain does not need to apologize.

Limbaugh then had to draw a moral from this story that suited his purposes.

“This is a great, great teachable moment here, this whole thing with Trump and McCain,” Rush Limbaugh told the folks in his bubble.

“Trump can survive this, Trump is surviving this,”

    Why?

“Guiding all of this,” Limbaugh said, “is the guiding presumption that the majority of the American people are as outraged as the media are.”

And here is where Rush Limbaugh told the truth about Donald Trump, and about himself.

“Now, remember, there’s a common assumption made every time one of these things happened. You know, I myself have stepped in it a couple times, folks, and each time — oh, yes, I have. I’ve stepped in it a couple times. And each time, the point is that each time I did the Drive-Bys thought they had me, right? I mean, I can go through: Michael J. Fox, Sandra Fluke, whatever it was, they thought that they had finally gotten rid of me.”

“But they didn’t. They didn’t even come close. They never have come close. They’re still telling lies about advertisers lost. They’re still telling lies about every aspect of these incidents where they thought they had me. Why were they wrong? Because they made the assumption that the whole country was outraged at me as they were.”

And therein lies the secret of how Rush Limbaugh is still on the air, and of how Donald Trump is still a candidate. It you don’t care about being decent, all you have to do is count how many other people don’t care if you’re decent. If there are enough to keep you going, you’ll still have a show, a candidacy, a career.

Donald Trump’s secret is that he doesn’t care. Rush Limbaugh gets it.

  • Sarah Palin Calls Donald Trump Insult of McCain a ‘Slip-Up,’ and Trump a ‘Hero’

Sarah Palin has trumped Ted Cruz in her latest desperate plea to be recognized as still somehow more relevant than anyone else with a Facebook page.

“He’s not a war hero. Come on! He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured, okay? I hate to tell you. He’s a war hero, because he was captured, okay? You can have – and I believe perhaps he’s a war hero.” – Donald Trump, of John McCain.

After Donald Trump earned the ire and disdain of nearly every other Republican voice by making light of John McCain’s war record, the candidate made for television seemed on the ropes. Huffington Post even announced they would no longer carry news of his “candidacy” alongside that of other earnest contenders. Trump would now be relegated to the Entertainment section with “the Kardashians and The Bachelorette.”

But Sarah Plain, whose own antics have found there way to those very pages over the past year, could not give up on her boy Trump. At the same time, she couldn’t very well been seen dissing John McCain, whose ill-advised campaign maneuver in 2008 gave Sarah Palin the only shot at any continental U.S. audience she would likely ever get.

So she stood in the middle, praising both, hoping to catch a bit of spotlight in the fracas.

“I have the good fortune of knowing both John McCain and Donald Trump well,” Palin told CNN in an email chock full of her usual jingoistic verbiage. “Both men have more in common than the today’s media hype would have you believe. Both blazed trails in their careers and love our great nation.”

“Sen. McCain dedicated his life to serving our country, and in my humble opinion the sacrifices made by all ethical service members are heroic — putting it all on the line to defend freedom IS heroic — and Donald Trump is a hero in another arena.”

“Trump is the candidate giving voice to untold millions of fed-up Americans witnessing a purposeful destruction of our economy and the equal opportunity for success that made America exceptional,” Palin said, never telling who might be purposefully destroying America’s economy from within.

Next she played a positioning move, trying to cast herself as non-political, even though she teases running for office regularly.

“We’re watching career politicians throw away our kids’ future through bankrupting public budgets and ripping open our porous borders which, obvious to all us non-politicians, puts us at great risk.”

Palin sought to mitigate McCain’s calling Trump’s supporters in Arizona “crazies,” a statement which sparked off Trump’s own insult of McCain.

“Everywhere I go, hard-working patriotic Americans — not ‘crazies’ or ‘wacko birds’ — ask me to pass on to Mr. Trump encouragement to keep educating the masses about true ramifications of illegal immigration, and in general the real state of our union.”

Palin went on to characterize Donald Trump’s disrespect and insult of John McCain as a faux pas, even though Trump has doubled down on it since then.

“We can keep the debate focused on significant issues at hand,” she said. “I leave politics of personal destruction to those on the Left and lazy media lapdogs who’s only take away from any debate is any salacious slip-up, as if they’ve never wanted to restate something they’ve publicly uttered.”

“I’ll fight the exhausting, divisive strategy that’s taken hold under the current crop of politicians who refuse to allow our United States to unite. Both Mr. Trump and Sen. McCain can contribute their gifts and talents to join that fight to work together, because the Left is headed the other direction and under that desired division we will fall,” Palin said.

  • Donald Trump Disowned by GOP, Laughed Out by News Agencies

Donald Trump got the fighting side of Meghan McCain yesterday when he spoke ill of her daddy, Senator John McCain. On stage at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, Donald Trump said of John McCain:

“He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Trump was promptly booed by some, but was given a standing ovation as he left the stage. When pressed by reporters, Trump made a half-effort to walk back his remarks about McCain, without actually apologizing.

“I’m with the veterans all the time,” he said. “I consider them heroes. If somebody’s a prisoner, I consider them a war hero.”

But he took the opportunity to swipe at John McCain yet again.

“I think John McCain’s done very little for the veterans. I’m very disappointed in John McCain.”

He then called McCain “yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job.”

    Meghan McCain responded via Twitter:

“I have a brother that just returned from Afghanistan a month ago, glad he can come home to this being said about his father and his service.”

Trump’s would-be opponents in the GOP primary took turns distancing themselves from him and outright disowning him.

“Donald Trump owes every American veteran and in particular John McCain an apology,” said Rick Perry, right after Trump left the stage.

“Here’s what I think they’re going to say: ‘Donald Trump, you’re fired,’” Senator Lindsey Graham said. Graham is good friends with Meghan McCain’s dad.

“I unequivocally denounce him,” Scott Walker said of Trump.

“Enough with the slanderous attacks,” Jeb Bush tweeted. “@SenJohnMcCain and all our veterans – particularly POWs have earned our respect and admiration.”

Bobby Jindal tweeted: “John McCain is an American hero. I have nothing but respect for his service to our country. After Donald Trump spends six years in a POW camp, he can weigh in on John McCain’s service.”

Ted Cruz was not as clear, seeming to have a hard time positioning himself. He called McCain “an American hero,” but would not “say something bad about Donald Trump.”

Marco Rubio did not have the same problem Cruz has, whatever that may be. He said, in no uncertain terms, “This is an insult to all POWs, all men and women who have served us in uniform and have been captured.”

“This is a man who spent his whole life saying outrageous things,” Rubio said. “So, early in this campaign when he said something outrageous, people kind of said ‘Just ignore it and move on. This is what he does.’ But I think now as things have gone forward and he’s become more of a covered candidate and people have paid more attention to him, it requires people to be more forceful about some of these offensive things that he is saying.”

“It’s not just absurd, it’s offensive,” Rubio continued. “It’s ridiculous. And I do think it is a disqualifier as commander in chief.”

The bigwigs at Huffington Post have had enough of Donald Trump’s posturing and play. They see his “candidacy” as such a joke that they announced they will no longer report on it alongside other candidates.

“After watching and listening to Donald Trump since he announced his candidacy for president, we have decided we won’t report on Trump’s campaign as part of The Huffington Post’s political coverage. Instead, we will cover his campaign as part of our Entertainment section. Our reason is simple: Trump’s campaign is a sideshow. We won’t take the bait. If you are interested in what The Donald has to say, you’ll find it next to our stories on the Kardashians and The Bachelorette.”

  • Meghan McCain Nails Donald Trump, Everyone Piles On

Meghan McCain runs an interesting line. She is the daughter of Senator John McCain, and was long seen by some as a staunch conservative from the Palin camp. That is, until she denounced Palin. Then folks didn’t know what to make of Meghan McCain.

Now it seems that people from both sides of the aisle are behind Meghan McCain, and she has none other than Donald Trump’s big mouth to thank for that.

On Saturday at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, Donald Trump said of John McCain:

“He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Trump was promptly booed. After he left the stage, he made a half-effort to walk back his remarks about McCain, without actually apologizing.

“I’m with the veterans all the time,” he said. “I consider them heroes. If somebody’s a prisoner, I consider them a war hero.”

But he couldn’t categorically apologize and be the man about it. He took the opportunity to swipe at John McCain yet again.

“I think John McCain’s done very little for the veterans. I’m very disappointed in John McCain.”

He then called McCain “yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job.”

Meghan McCain had heard enough. She posted to Twitter:

“I have a brother that just returned from Afghanistan a month ago, glad he can come home to this being said about his father and his service.”

One by one, and in quick succession, Trump’s “competition” in the GOP primary race denounced him.

Meghan McCain got loads of support for her statement about Trump.

  • Def Leppard Will Share a Stage With Donald Trump in Iowa

Def Leppard Will Share a Stage With Donald Trump in Iowa

When Def Leppard takes the stage at the Iowa State Fair next month, they will be introduced and welcomed by none other than Donald Trump.

Def Leppard is touring with classic rock acts Styx and Tesla, who will also be on the bill at the State Fair Grandstand on the fairgrounds in Des Moines on August 15. Def Leppard has had a rough way to go recently. Guitarist Vivian Campbell has fought cancer off and on over the past few years. It was feared that he would not be able to tour with Def Leppard this summer, but his doctor has cleared him to go.

As for Donald Trump, Def Leppard will not be his first brush with rock and roll. On his Celebrity Apprentice program, Trump rubbed elbows with the likes of Gene Simmons, Bret Michaels, famous band manager Sharon Osbourne, Meat Loaf, and Dee Snider.

There is no clue yet as to how the guys in Def Leppard might respond to Trump’s introduction. If the fans that show up that night don’t boo him off the stage, it may be best to smile and nod and get on with the rock.

Not all rock stars are enamored of Trump. The Donald ran afoul of Neil Young when he announced his candidacy. The music piped in to the event included Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World.” Young, a politically active artist, too offense and called the campaign out on it.

“Donald Trump was not authorized to use ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ in his presidential candidacy announcement,” Neil Young agent Elliot Roberts said. “Neil Young, a Canadian citizen, is a supporter of Bernie Sanders for president of the United States of America.”

Trump’s campaign insisted they had paid the appropriate rights’ organizations to license the song, but were informed that an artist still has recourse to stop their music from being used to represent someone they disagree with.

“We won’t be using it again,” Trump’s campaign manager announced. “There are plenty of other songs to choose from, despite the fact that Mr. Trump is a big fan and likes Neil very much. We will respect his wish and not use it because it’s the right thing to do.”

No word on whether Donald Trump likes Def Leppard, or even knows who they are. One thing is for sure:

If he calls them “Death Leopard” on that stage, he can kiss his campaign good-bye.

  • Kate Steinle: Brother Wants Trump To Stop “Sensationalizing” Her Death

Kate Steinle has a brother who is unhappy with Donald Trump.

Kate Steinle is the woman who was randomly shot to death as she walked with her family on a San Francisco pier by an illegal immigrant who had already been deported several times.

Donald Trump has repeatedly used the death of Kate Steinle to prove his controversial remarks about illegal immigrants not being the best that other countries have to offer.

However, Kate Steinle’s brother, Brad, is not very happy about it.

Kate Steinle’s brother told CNN, “Donald Trump talks about Kate Steinle like he knows her. I’ve never heard a word from his campaign manager, I’ve never heard a word from him. It’s disconcerting.”

He added, “I don’t want to be affiliated with someone who doesn’t have the common courtesy to reach out and ask about Kate, and our political views and what we want.”

Trump has latched on to the case, describing Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez as one of these unsavory types that cross the border and do harm to American citizens and has slammed San Francisco for being a so-called “sanctuary city”.

Kate Steinle’s brother, when asked if he felt his sister was being “used” by Trump, said, “In a way, yes.”

He added, “Sensationalizing it is not the route we would like to go. If you’re going to use somebody’s name and you’re going to sensationalize the death of a beautiful young lady, maybe you should call and talk to the family first and see what their views are.”

Brad added that Trump’s views on immigration were “not rational” and “not common sense.”

However, it seems Brad and Kate Steinle’s parents have a different view of the incident and wish for a different outcome.

Kate Steinle’s mom and dad, Liz Sullivan and Jim Steinle, were on The O’Reilly Factor Monday to discuss the outcome they wish to have for the horrible death of their daughter.

Jim Steinle said, “You can’t prepare for anything like this, but it was astonishing. And it is astonishing, and we are hoping to carry this forward. We’re hoping for some good to come out of all of this.”

Jim Steinle said that he would support Bill O’Reilly’s petition for “Kate’s Law”. In honor of Kate Steinle, the law would impose a five-year federal prison sentence on illegal immigrants who are deported and then re-enter the U.S. illegally.

He said, “We’re just a little tired of the finger-pointing and just want to see some action. And if ‘Kate’s Law’ saves one person, then it’s all for good.”

What do you think about Kate Steinle’s death? Do you think the parents have the right idea about supporting “Kate’s Law”?

  • 50 Cent Bankruptcy Like Donald Trump’s; He’s Not Broke

Last week, rapper 50 Cent was ordered by a court to pay $5 million to a Florida mom for posting a sex tape of her online. This week, 50 Cent filed bankruptcy.

While there have been lots of speculation about what that means for 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, there is also lots of misinformation being spread.

When you have a nickname like “50 Cent,” people will make lots of jokes if you file bankruptcy. Things get even more confusing when the news reports about your bankruptcy include news that you have anywhere from $10 million to $50 million.

Is 50 Cent broke? Is that what his bankruptcy means?

“I’m taking the precautions that any other good businessperson would take in this situation,” 50 Cent said about his filing. “You know when you’re successful and stuff, you become a target. I don’t wanna be a bullseye. I don’t want anybody to pick me as the guy that they just come to with astronomical claims and go through all that.”

50 Cent has even taken to joking about his bankruptcy himself.

Times are hard out here LMAO #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO

A photo posted by 50 Cent (@50cent) on

“Walt Disney has filed bankruptcy. Donald Trump has filed bankruptcy,” 50 Cent explained. “It means you’re reorganizing your finances, but it does stop things from moving forward that you don’t want moving forward.”

“I got a decent legal team,” he assured fans. “You don’t have to worry.”

50 Cent’s attorney filled that explanation out a bit more, saying, “This filing for personal bankruptcy protection permits Mr. Jackson to continue his involvement with various business interests and continue his work as an entertainer, while he pursues an orderly reorganization of his financial affairs.”

Donald Trump has faced similar misunderstandings as 50 Cent regarding his own bankruptcy filings in his past, especially now that he is running in the GOP primary for President.

Trump struck out at these misunderstandings, saying, “These are stupid people who say this, ‘Didn’t Trump declare bankruptcy? Didn’t he go bankrupt?’ I didn’t go bankrupt.”

“I’ve cut debt — by the way, this isn’t me personally, it’s a company,” Trump told Forbes. “Basically I’ve used the laws of the country to my advantage and to other people’s advantage just as [business moguls] Leon Black has, Carl Icahn, Henry Kravis has, just as many, many others on top of the business world have.”

“We buy a company, throw it into a chapter, negotiate with the banks, make a fantastic deal. They were never personal [bankruptcies]. This is a business thing. I’ve used the laws of this country to pare debt. This has nothing to do with me personally. The bankruptcy laws can be used to your advantage.”

Using these laws as allowed is what 50 Cent is also doing.

Michael Venditto, who has represented clients in high-profile Chapter 11 cases, said, “To the ordinary person in the street, [four corporate bankruptcies] may seem surprising, but certainly not to me. Chapter 11 is how you reshape and restructure a company that has problems. It doesn’t indicate anything nefarious or even bad management.”

  • Olivia Jordan, New Miss USA, Comments On Donald Trump

Olivia Jordan, Miss Oklahoma, was crowned Miss USA on Sunday evening and is making headlines with her eloquent responses to questions regarding race relations. She’s also garnered spotlight for her take on the Donald Trump controversy after being asked to comment on it following the pageant.

Trump, of course, owns the pageant and saw it dropped from NBC after he made comments during his presidential candidacy speech about the Mexican people and why they shouldn’t be allowed to cross the border into the U.S., saying, among other things, that they are “rapists and drug dealers”. At a recent rally in Phoenix, Trump didn’t back down from his previous statements, telling the crowd, “Don’t worry, we’ll take our country back.”

Olivia Jordan says that the Miss USA pageant is not just about Trump and his personal beliefs, and addressed how she plans to move forward.

“We have freedom of speech in this country, and immigration is certainly an important issue. This organization is not one person. It’s definitely not just me. It’s a family. This organization celebrates diversity, and I think that was clear on the stage tonight, and I look forward to spreading a message of love and diversity and acceptance,” Jordan said.

Jordan is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is an actress, having appeared in several commercials and in the feature film Hot Tub Time Machine 2. One of her standout moments during the pageant was during the question and answer portion, where she was given two questions and 30 seconds to answer each. When asked what the U.S. needs to focus on, Jordan responded smoothly and quickly, saying race relations should be a top priority.

“We have not solved this issue. We really need to work on being an accepting society,” Olivia Jordan said.

  • El Chapo Threatens Donald Trump, Rush Limbaugh Laughs

When the head of the Sinaloa Drug Cartel escaped from jail recently, one of his first acts was bizarre. Using a Twitter account administered by his son, the drug kingpin sent a message to Donald Trump.

Trump had recently said that El Chapo, whose real name is Joaquin Guzman, was “everything that’s wrong with Mexico.” This is in keeping with Trump’s statements to voters that, “When Mexico sends its people they aren’t sending their best. They are bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they are rapists and some are good people but I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting.”

El Chapo was having none of Trump’s posturing. He posted to Twitter, via his son:

“Keep fucking around and I’m gonna make you swallow your bitch words you fucking whitey milkshitter” (a homophobic slur)

According to TMZ, Donald Trump responded to the threat by calling the FBI.

“I’m fighting for much more than myself. I’m fighting for the future of our country which is being overrun by criminals,” Trump told TMZ of the El Chapo threats. “You can’t be intimidated. It’s too important.”

When Rush Limbaugh got the news about the threats against Trump, he had a ball commenting on them.

“So El Chapo gets out of jail, a mile long tunnel, one and a half kilometers, ventilated, built right under the Mexicans in their Mexico City jail, nobody knows how.

“El Chapo is mad at Trump. Now, imagine this. Here’s El Chapo, Joaquin Guzman, he’s head of the Sinaloa Cartel. It’s the largest cartel out there. It is the cartel of cartels. He flees this Mexico City prison and the first thing he did was get on Twitter to start bashing Trump? He starts calling Trump a midget. He starts threatening Trump. He tells Trump he will regret his words. He’ll be made to eat his words. He’s threatening Trump because Trump criticized Guzman’s escape.”

“My gosh, if you’ve been in jail for a year and a half or however long he’s been in jail and you run the biggest drug cartel in the world, the first thing you want to do when you get out is send a tweet to Donald Trump?”

What most have missed is El Chapo’s best tweet, from earlier in the day. It translates as:

“Life takes many turns, one day we are in the hole and another day are up.”

  • Donald Trump Trolls GOP and Latinos with Joe Arpaio

Donald Trump took the stage in the North Ballroom at the Phoenix Convention Center to a crowd that he at first claimed was 15,000 strong on Facebook, then 20,000 on Twitter. Media outlets repeated that figure dutifully.

Later digging discovered that the entire ballroom only has the capacity for 4,100 people.

Some are starting to get the feeling that Donald Trump is trumping up his claims about a lot of things. The man has owned hotels. He knows how to get a real figure for how many will fit into a ballroom.

Trump’s statements about Mexicans set many people against him. Yet he claims he will sweep to the GOP nomination and the presidency with the Latino vote behind him. And how is he going about that?

By bringing in Arizona’s own Sheriff Joe Arpaio, of course.

Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio was a firebrand a few years back when his racial profiling caught the attention of the nation and the federal authorities. In 2013, a federal judge ordered Arpaio to stop unconstitutionally profiling Latinos. He did not stop. Now he faces a contempt of court charge. A special federal monitor has been assigned to his department and he is no longer allowed to detain suspected illegal immigrants.

Yet, Donald Trump shared a stage with Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Later, in a Breitbart interview, Arpaio said of Trump:

“I understand the fence, everybody talks about the fence. I would hope that maybe he would consider talking to the President of Mexico over a beer and try to get the law enforcement people — border patrol or military across the border — to work with the army and Federales. That’s what I’d do when I was the director in Mexico City and it worked perfectly.”

With friends like these, Donald Trump has a funny way of showing he wants the Latino vote. His actions are alienating many from taking the GOP seriously. Senator Leslie Graham has said that Trump is doing damage to the GOP with his antics. But Mike Huckabee disagrees.

When asked recently if he thought Trump was hurting the GOP brand, Huckabee responded, “I don’t think so.”

“I don’t think that people ought to wring their hands that Donald Trump is in there,” Huckabee went on. “He’ll say things differently than most of us, he’ll say things that maybe some of us wouldn’t say, but he has as much right to be on the stage and speak his message as any of us.”

  • Mike Huckabee Says Donald Trump Not Hurting GOP With Mexican Statements

Mike Huckabee was asked recently if he thinks Donald Trump is hurting the GOP brand by making bombastic statements about Mexicans and illegal immigration. Many have pointed to the GOP’s tolerance of Trump and his remarks as being indicative of how the rest of the GOP feels, but just isn’t saying.

Comedian Jackie Mason said recently that Trump is showing up the GOP by saying what the rest of them are too scared to say out loud.

“So this guy just saved thousands of lives by the fact that he has such a big mouth and tells the truth,” Jackie Mason said of Trump.

The “truth” Mason speaks of refers to Trump’s statements at his candidacy kickoff.

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” Trump said when he announced his run for president. “They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Is Trump hurting the GOP brand?

“I don’t think so,” Huckabee offers.

Huckabee would like to have “as much attention” as Trump is getting, “because anybody getting that much attention certainly is going to soar in the polls.”

“But I don’t think that people ought to wring their hands that Donald Trump is in there,” Huckabee went on. “He’ll say things differently than most of us, he’ll say things that maybe some of us wouldn’t say, but he has as much right to be on the stage and speak his message as any of us.”

Mike Huckabee also spoke about the Supreme Court decision that legalized gay marriage nationwide.

“Do we let the constitutional authority be superseded by black robes?” Huckabee asked, offering no explanation about the constitutional authority of the judicial branch of government.

Mike Huckabee does insist that he is in the race to win, not to sell books or get a TV show. In fact, he argues, he left a successful career to get into the race.

“That’s what I walked away from to become President,” Huckabee said. “It’s pretty obvious to anyone following this that I must be serious about becoming President.”

  • Donald Trump Praised by Comedian Jackie Mason for Having a Big Mouth

Donald Trump got high praise from comedian Jackie Mason recently when the veteran comic appeared on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio.”

Trump has gotten a mix of responses lately for his outspoken views on immigration. He lost some business partners and gained the ire of what appears to be the entire country of Mexico when he announced his candidacy.

Many have flocked to support Trump, saying that he is simply saying out loud what needs to be said.

“So this guy just saved thousands of lives by the fact that he has such a big mouth and tells the truth,” Jackie Mason said of Trump.

Donald Trump is not just catching flak from liberals over his statements, but also from members of the party he hopes will nominate him to run for president. He has particularly gone head to head with Jeb Buch and Marco Rubio over his statements about Mexican immigrants.

Jackie Mason says establishment Republicans “can’t tolerate” Trump’s outspoken attitude “and they are making him into the clown.”

“They are the clowns!” Mason shot back.

Mason further argued that the GOP “stinks because all of the Republicans have accomplished nothing, and they talk about all of these issues and do nothing about it for a whole lifetime.”

Mason says Donald Trump made everyone uncomfortable, but it had to be done.

“And as soon as he dramatized the issue (of illegal immigration), they got panicky and the only guy that made sense disturbed them and it panicked them. Because it proves that they are doing nothing, and he’s accomplishing something by telling the truth.”

“And he’s making a fool out of them by being honest. And an honest person is intolerable amongst thieves.”

Some are of the opinion that Trump may be good for the party because he says out loud the things that other think silently. But that does not mean he can win the primary, much less an election. When asked about Trump’s actual chances of being elected, Mason was positive.

“There’s no question about it that not only does he stand a chance, but I see it as very strong possibility that he is going to bury all of them, and he is going to come out the big winner.”

Mason then said what many are saying about Trump’s run and outspokenness.

“The silent majority is back, and we’re going to take our country back.”
