  • Kyra Sedgwick, Kevin Bacon Celebrate 27 Years of Married Life

Kyra Sedgwick and hubby Kevin Bacon recently celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. On Friday, the Footloose star posted a sweet social media tribute to his wife. He even shared that after 27 years together, he still counts his blessings every day.

“Celebrating 9,855 days of marriage to @kyrasedgwick @kikkosedg,” he captioned a beautiful shot of Kyra Sedgwick, sitting on what appears to be a park bench.

She is dressed down in jeans and a white t-shirt, as she looks adoringly into the camera.

(Of course one can only assume it was Kevin Bacon behind the lens.)

In yet another adorable Instagram shot, Kevin Bacon shared a picture of himself with a much younger Kyra Sedgwick–yet another reminder of the anniversary they were celebrating.

In Hollywood, marriages often fall by the wayside after a very few years. Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have long impressed their fans–not just with their acting prowess–but with their ability to put their marriage before their notoriety.

Kyra Sedgwick is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the hit TNT show The Closer. However she is best loved for so much more. Children Sosie and Travis Bacon know her as mom, and Kevin Bacon knows her as his beloved wife of 27 years.

Happy anniversary to Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

  • Madyson Middleton: Teenage Neighbor A.J. Gonzales Charged With Her Murder

What started as a mere disappearance of a little girl ended with the shock and devastation of a community. Little Madyson Middleton was only 8 years old when her life ended most likely at the hands of 15-year-old Adrian Jerry “A.J.” Gonzales.

According to police reports, A.J. Gonzales lured Middleton into the apartment where he and his mother lived last Sunday . Then from there, the boy proceeded to sexually assault and strangle little Maddy, eventually ending her short life. The girl’s body was found Monday night in a recycle bin a few floors down.

The residents of the Tannery Arts Center, a building where the victim and the suspect lived, can’t believe the horrible news that has befallen on their little community.

“First I’m very, very heartbroken for Maddy. But I thought it had to be a mistake,” said Lisa Silas, a building resident since 2009. “This is really hard. We’re just really upset, really devastated.”

Silas knew the boy, as well as most of the 250 people living in the arts center. People see him as a gentle boy that never parts with his yo-yo.

Unfortunately, they didn’t know him well enough. Social media posts, particularly on Instagram, points to Gonzales as a troubled boy probably dealing with mental health issues of his own.

“It definitely sounds like this guy was dealing with depression and thinking about suicide,” said Oscar Cervantes, a clinical psychologist in San Bruno. “It seems like this guy knew something was really wrong with him.”

Gonzales will be charged as an adult for the murder, kidnap, and sexual assault of Maddy Middleton.

Despite this recent wave of grief and shock, the Tannery community expects to channel the negativity into support for one another. A playground in honor of little Maddy may be in the works.

  • Madyson Middleton, 8, Found In Dumpster; Teen Arrested In California

Madyson Middleton was a typical 8-year old girl who enjoyed riding her new scooter around the apartment complex she lived in with her mother. The living area–part of an artist community in Santa Cruz, California–offered a good space to play in, and Madyson was equipped with a helmet and a purple dress, perfect for a sunny summer Sunday. But by five p.m., Madyson’s mother realized she wasn’t outside anymore. By Monday night, police had found her body dumped in a trash bin.

The community is in shock, and a 15-year old boy has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of murder. His name has not been released due to his minor status, and a cause of death has not been revealed as yet. Madyson was seen on surveillance footage riding her scooter, but she disappeared from sight at a little past four p.m. It’s unclear what the teen’s relationship may be to Madyson and her family.

On Monday morning, Madyson’s mother, Laura, spoke to reporters as a massive search was underway in the neighborhood and beyond.

“Has she ever done anything like this? Nothing! Never! Never! She knows where she can and cannot be here. She was in the courtyard where she was supposed to be. She came over here, and that’s the last we saw of her on surveillance,” Laura Jordan said.

The search for Madyson had a community come together, and many people went without sleep to scour the neighborhoods and the nearby river. Her disappearance was initially feared to be a kidnapping, but because no vehicles were seen in the area on surveillance, investigators quickly changed it to a “missing persons” case.

Police say they will be interviewing several people in the community, some of whom say they saw the 15 year-old boy around the time Madyson disappeared.
