  • Meghan Trainor Performs Acoustic Version of ‘Dear Future Husband’ on ‘The Voice’ Finale

    Meghan Trainor wowed fans at The Voice finale on Tuesday night, performing an acoustic version of her hit song, ‘Dear Future Husband.’ Having served earlier in the season as a mentor for Blake Shelton’s team, it seemed fitting that Trainor was brought back for the show’s big finale.

    Accompanied only be her ukelele and one lone man on an acoustic guitar, Meghan Trainor gave a stellar performance. There’s something about all that passion she puts into her songs that is highlighted when presented in acoustic form.

    Meghan Trainor burst onto the music scene last year with her first hit single, ‘All About That Bass.’ Since then her name has been front and center in music publications–both printed and online.

    On Sunday, Meghan sang a duet at the Billboard Music Awards with Chrissy Teigen’s husband, John Legend.

    Contestants on The Voice were no doubt very encouraged by Meghan Trainor. At just 21 years old, she has accomplished what many singers don’t do in a lifetime.

    Sawyer Fredericks was crowned The Voice for season eight, with Blake Shelton’s Meghan Linsey as the runner-up. Adam Levine’s Josh Davis came in third, with Pharrell Williams’s second contestant (Sawyer Fredericks was also part of Team Pharrell) taking fourth place.

    In addition to the excitement of Sawyer Frederick’s winning, the crowd definitely loved watching Meghan Trainor perform.

  • Meghan Trainor Sings To Her Future Husband At iHeart Radio Music Awards

    Ahoy, future husband to Mehgan Trainor! Did you catch her awesomely fun performance at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday night?

    The 21-year-old pop star sashayed on stage with her third hit single “Dear Future Husband,” off of her 2015 debut album, Title. The curvy singer performed her piece confidently in a ’50s pinup girl-inspired, figure-hugging sailor outfit, which wass glittered and studded with buttons and beads. Trainor looked amazing in white beaded bustier, which she matched with a white long-sleeved bolero with gold embellishments, and black high-waited skirt. She also donned a white, glittered-covered captain’s hat and danced in the middle of sailor studs wearing red suspenders, straw hats and Bermuda short pants.

    Trainor has just returned from performing at the Echo Awards in Berlin, Germany on Thursday where she was joined by her older brother Ryan. In a recent interview with Liz Jones for You Magazine, Trainor reminisced about her childhood in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

    “'[We were] chubby children. My parents loved us so much – we’re very close – they gave us whatever snacks we wanted,’ she said. “We would go to the pool, we were very active, but we were still just chubby. Then my little brother grew up tall and skinny, so that was a hard thing for me and my other brother.’

    But Trainor remains true to her “All About That Bass” persona as she gears up to launch her own full-figured fashion partnership with FullBeauty Brands. According to press release, her partnership with FullBeaty centers on the brand’s ‘commitment to promoting, inspiring and empowering all women to fully love who they are and how they look’.

    The singing sensation has also recently recorded an acoustic duet with Harry Styles entitled, “Someday Maybe”

    Trainor will be touring across America with The MTrain starting July 3 until September 2015.

    Meghan Trainor has a new music video out that shows her dressed up in housewife attire and doing chores. The ‘All About That Bass’ singer has come under fire for the video, with some even saying it’s sexist.

    “Everyone’s going to say something,” Trainor told told ET at the Kids’ Choice Awards Saturday. “I don’t think it’s sexist. I just wrote a song for my particular future husband out there, wherever he is. I’m just preparing him. Lettin’ him know what’s up.”

    Meghan Trainor has no problem standing up for her beliefs, and that includes what she wants to sing about, too. When she broke on to the music scene with ‘All About That Bass,’ she spoke up about having a positive body image.

    “I’m all about loving your body and that’s why they came to me,” she said. “They were so pumped and they’re just, ‘We love your songs, we love the empowerment and how you are a sassy and confident girl.’ And I was like yes, that is what I’m going for. Let’s do it.”

    Meghan Trainor’s tour, dubbed ‘That Bass,’ kicked off in February. She told ET that prepping for a tour means surrounding herself with close friends and comforting things.

    “Packing a lot of stuffed animals that the fans give me–love those,” she said. “Texting everyone I know goodbye for a minute and I might bring my older brother on tour. That’s like a new thing.”

    One of the highlights of the Kid’s Choice Awards for Meghan Trainor was getting to meet Angelina Jolie. She even posed for a photo with the actress and her daughters Shiloh and Zahara.
