  • Older Dads Study Produces Interesting Results

A new study shows that men who wait until they are older to have children have a higher chance of having children with a psychiatric problem such as bipolar disorder, autism, or ADD. The study included more than 2.6 million Swedish men who were born between 1973-2001. The study showed that men who were older than 24 were much more likely to have children with personality or behavior problems and men who were over 45 faced an even greater risk.

The study also took into the consideration several other factors that could have had an impact on a child’s mental health, including mothers’ age at conception, parents’ education and history of psychiatric problems, and the mental health of each child’s siblings.

Although women can only get pregnant throughout a certain amount of years and are unable to do so after going through menopause, it was once thought that men were capable of making children at any age. Since men continue to produce sperm throughout their lives, it was believed that these sperm were healthy regardless of the man’s age.

The study suggests that as men age, their sperm could possibly become damaged, mutated, or weakened, leading to such problems. Researchers insist that this is just a suggestion and there is no guarantee that a man over the age of 24 or 45 will have a child with psychiatric problems.

Although the study is shocking, researchers believe it will be useful in determining what other genetic mutations linked with older parents can contribute to certain health problems. It will also open the door for more similar studies.

  • Tony Parker Will Be The Father To A Baby Boy

Tony Parker and his fiancee Axelle Francine have just announced that they have a baby boy on the way. This will be the first child that the couple have together. Tony Parker has been dating Francine, a French journalist, since 2011.

Before he started dating Francine, Parker was married to actress Eva Longoria, which got both of them much recognition, and media coverage. Parker, and Longoria, the former Desperate Housewives star, split up in 2010 after a public sexting scandal between Parker and Erin Barry, the wife of his former teammate Brent Barry.

Like Francine, Parker is also a native of France. He is a basketball all-star who has been playing in the NBA for 12 years, and has enjoyed much success, including multiple NBA titles with the San Antonio Spurs throughout his career. Parker led his teams to the NBA finals as recently as last year, where they lost to the Miami Heat in a fierce fight that went to game 7.

Tony Parker released the news about his baby over twitter, through his incredible excitement to be a dad for the first time. He announced that he was very happy, and then immediately told everyone why. Parker seems to be excited about the fact that he is a boy too; could we see his son in the NBA someday?

He told his followers that he likes to spend time with his fiancee after games, when asked during a Q&A, as a brand ambassador for Tissot, a Swiss watch company. The news of their engagement was revealed in June.

Tony Parker and his fiancee Axelle Francine are both 31-years-old, and are excited about having their first child together.

  • Dad Shoots Daughter’s Laptop Over Facebook

In Albermarle, North Carolina, a fed-up father took his frustrations out on his daughter’s laptop after reading her Facebook page. On Wednesday, Tommy Jordan shot and killed his daughter Hannah’s laptop in a domestic tit-for-tat battle he and his 15-year-old decided to take online.

The laptop ended up as the ultimate loser when Jordan emptied nine shots into it. The only saving grace–Jordan did stop and save his daughter’s data and pics before leveling the unknowing laptop proving his sensibility with computers and teenagers. He was also sharp enough to record the event on video.

On NBC’s “Today” show, Tommy, his wife Amy and Hannah shared with viewers that the video had already had over 31 million views on YouTube. Father and daughter now openly admit they both overreacted by taking their family feud on screen. Tommy says he has a great daughter, but she’ll stay grounded for the time being and he is making no plans to replace her deceased device.
