  • Video: Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos

If the internet had to be summarized in one word, it would be ‘pussy’ – the vulgar slang for a woman’s genitalia and the informal use of the word cat. Yet, the versatility of the internet’ content isn’t limited to just those two hairy beasts alone, as viral videos come in different forms of attractions. Hamsters dining on miniaturized versions of human foods are the next big thing.

This week’s viral video that at least one of your friends on Facebook will be posting about is titled “Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos – Episode 1”, a short film involving a nervous gourmet burrito chef and his itty bitty customer, a hamster.

The video is paired with elegant classical music and shots of the pre-burrito preparations. The chef constructs the little dish with salsa, tomatoes, beef, garlic, parsley, all in tiny doses. A tortilla flour flat no bigger than a silver dollar and diligent hands wrap up the mini masterpiece – inspection is made for extra measure. The mammal of discriminatory tastes is then presented the burrito, no bigger than a thumb, to which it promptly shoves in its cheeks, like anybody you see at Chipotle.

HelloDenizen is the YouTube user responsible for the uploaded video, their first, which has already reached 2.6 million views. By the end of this article, the video will most likely hit the 3 million mark. “Episode 1” may insinuate the idea that in a week or two since the original upload, we’ll find another similar video involving different dishes for the little hamsters to dine on – charming mini restaurants, tiny plates, and all.

HelloDenizen types in their description for the video: “Subscribe for more videos!! Rate and comment if you want more!”, and since the ratings (32,156 likes), subscribers (25,938), and comments (1,576) are soaring, we’ll most likely be graced with another episode.

“Sometimes love is best expressed through tiny food.”

  • Zach Braff Helps Guy Propose, Removes All Chance of Her Saying No

Another day, another jerk making us all look bad by staging an elaborate marriage proposal and then putting the whole thing on YouTube.

But seriously, this one’s pretty cool. It involves Zach Braff, some pets, some friends, some family, and a song. Cute.

“I wanted to think of a really cool way to propose to my girlfriend, Janice, and this song and video is what I came up with. I wanted to show her that not only do I love her but that she’s loved by all our friends and family too. This was particularly important as she hasn’t been able to see much of her family for 7 years since she moved to the UK and she misses them lots,” says Matt Hulbert.

It looks like Hulbert roped Braff into helping him via Kickstarter pledge:

“I managed to get Zach involved through Kickstarter when pledging an amount for his new film ‘Wish I Was Here.’ The team were SO kind and SO amazing they got his part of the video to me super early as they really liked the idea. Like me, Janice is a huge fans of ‘Scrubs’ so I knew it would blow her away,” says Hulbert.

I guess that’s one way to propose – make it absolutely impossible for the girl to say no.

  • Dog With Cleft Lip Brings Hope To Kids

Dog With Cleft Lip Brings Hope To Kids

In cuter news, everyone should have the chance to hear about Lentil Bean, a French Bulldog with a cute face and big heart.

This pup was born with a cleft lip, and was struggling for his life during his first twelve weeks on Earth. The blog dedicated to Lentil kept record of all the trials and tribulations that the little pup faced up until his consultation and surgery date. The surgery that Lentil undertook saved his life and fixed his palate so that he now has the ability to eat on his own. Doctors chose, however, to not fix his lip, and this has lead to little Lentil becoming a sort of ambassador for children with similar medical conditions.

Lentil and his human family have worked with a variety of charities and fundraisers, raising awareness and hope for children with cleft lips and palates. Their recent project was the inaugural Lentil Fest, which took place on May 5th and raised money for the French Bulldog Rescue Network, Street Tails Animal Rescue, and the Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCA Kids), according to the event’s official Facebook page.

As a result of the day’s events, each charity received a check for a minimum of $2,523. A bake sale with cupcakes and “support ribbons” featuring Lentil also reeled in an extra $433 dollars for the CCA, according to an official Lentil blog post.

The latest Lentil cause is helping families go to the annual CCA Kid’s Retreat, which can be rather costly, running at $2,000 for just one family to attend. Team Lentil is urging Facebook supporters to each consider donating just one dollar, which, if done, could raise enough money to send over forty-five families to the retreat.

A link to the official Facebook page for Lentil can be found here, and a link to the donation page for the CCA Kid’s retreat can be found here. Both are worth checking out, and donations would be going a fantastic cause. (Plus, the Facebook page is full of pictures of cute puppies and kids.)

  • Awesome Beatles-Singing Kid Is Destined for Greatness

What is cuter than an adorable little kid belting out a classic Beatles song? Well, puppies. And most kitties. But this is like the third cutest thing you could hope for on a Monday morning. I see big things in this little guy’s future.

  • Kid Can’t Pronounce Dump Truck, Hilarity Ensues

Sometimes, kids have trouble saying certain words. And sometimes, it’s hilarious. In my opinion, this kid knew exactly what he was doing by the end of the video. Well played, kid, well played.

You know where this is going…

  • Meet Eddie, the Slam-Dunking Sea Otter

Meet Eddie, the Slam-Dunking Sea Otter

Eddie the geriatric sea otter, other than being really cute, also likes to play a bit of basketball. The Oregon Zoo had to find some way to get Eddie to work those arthritic elbows, and they thought what better way than with a little bit of b-ball.

You won’t see Eddie hooping during exhibits. This is just for medical purposes. But thanks to the power of the internet, you can watch this little guy do something that I’ve wished I could do since I was six years old: Slam dunk a basketball.

  • Kid Gives Proper Response to Hearing Bad Brains for the First Time

    Meet Adeline.

Adeline is already pretty cool. But she’s going to be really cool when she grows up. Here, watch this video and you’ll see why.

Here’s Adeline hearing Bad Brains for the first time. You can’t teach this stuff. As one YouTube user put it, “slamdancing is in our genetic code.”

“Turn it up a little bit!”

    D’aaawwwww…I mean, MOSH!

  • Cute Baby Cutely Awakens and Cutely Freaks out over Gangnam Style

Hey, it’s another video of a cute baby dancing cutely to Gangnam Style. Although the Gangnam Style craze has died down and we’re all hesitant to listen to the PSY hit (lest we get the wretched thing stuck in our heads again) – this is just too good to ignore.

It wouldn’t really matter what song awoke our slumbering tot. It’s not Gangnam Style that makes this worthy of a watch. It’s her surprise and elation. It’s also her sister’s reaction.

I must stop before I get too gushy over all the cute. What is happening to me?

  • Roboy Will Destroy You With Its Cuteness

Roboy Will Destroy You With Its Cuteness

Robots have never been exactly cute. In fact, our metal friends are generally more terrifying than anything else. Some researchers are fixing this by creating the first robot that may be able to pass as being “cute.”

Meet Roboy, a new humanoid robot in development at the University of Zürich’s Artificial Intelligence Lab. The little guy is being envisioned as the next generation of robotic assistants for the elderly or disabled. The researchers are currently still in the construction phase, but you can check out their progress below:

As a bonus, here’s a Swiss news report that shows off some of the latest developments in robotics, including Roboy.

The researchers need your help to continue development of Roboy though. That’s why they set up a crowdfunding site with a number of awards available for backers. Most of the awards are tickets to the Robots on Tour event in Zürich to see Roboy in action. If you’re find yourself in Europe during the event on March 8, the little guy just might be worth funding. It will provide an opportunity to see firsthand the new face of cute fear. It’s at least better than that crying robot.

  • Bo Obama Is Perplexed by Bo Obama Christmas Decoration [VIDEO]

If people could set aside thier political affiliations for two seconds (hard, but more possible now than a month ago), they might just be able to reach a consensus on one thing:

The first dog is cute as hell.

The White House just uploaded this dose of Friday cute to their YouTube page. In the video, Bo scampers around the White House, scoping the badass Christmas decor. Make sure you watch until he discovers his own likeness, in decorative form. I probably don’t have to make sure you watch until the end, because oh my god he’s fluffy.

  • Puffin Colony Cam Tracks Atlantic Puffins in Maine – See Them Live Now

Yesterday, live video began streaming of Atlantic puffins nesting on a remote island in Maine. The two high-definition cameras stream live around the clock from Seal Island National Wildlife Refuge to anyone with an internat connection. The island, which is located about 20 miles off the coast of Maine, is home to the largest puffin colony in the United States.

One camera is set up to to show the puffins on one of the island’s rocky ledges. The other is underground, inside one of the puffin’s borrows, showing them in their natural “home” environment.

“About a third of all seabird species in the world are threatened with extinction…” Steve Kress, director of Audobon’s seabird restoration program, said in a press release. “It’s the most troubled group of birds in the world. And the puffin is the bird among seabirds that people can relate to… We’re excited to give people a window into this wonderful world of seabirds, and we hope to inspire viewers everywhere to take actions that improve the planet for birds and people.”

“The Puffin Cams have a mesmerizing effect that we believe will help people escape the stresses of everyday life and provide a positive benefit that will carry over when they return to their daily obligations.”

Go to explore.org/birds to see the puffins live.

Although I wish I could embed the video here, your best bet is to follow the link above to get your puffin on. You might think that there is no way the puffins are active all the time, but the camera has the ability to pan and zoom to capture the clowns of the bird kingdom. As I’m writing this, I’m watching a group of puffins stretching their feathers, grooming eachother, and just hanging out.

  • DJ Kittens Are Cute, Better Than Me

It’s the end of the day on Friday, and that means that everyone needs something like this:

    Three kittens on two turntables.

This video is just starting to make the rounds on the interwebs, so you can say you saw it before it blows up. Call it your viral hit before it becomes a viral hit.

There’s really not much to say, the video speaks for itself. It’s cute, and they actually sound pretty good. Let’s just put it this way – I’ve heard worse.

My only suggestion is that this now replaces Rebecca Black’s Friday as the new end-of-the-work-week wind-down video. Because after working all week, don’t we all need a little SQUEEEEEEE in our lives?
