  • Tom Hiddleston Strips Nude in “Crimson Peak,” Stephen Colbert Questions It

Tom Hiddleston chatted about his role in Crimson Peak while a guest on The Late Show Friday night, and Colbert made sure to bring up Hiddleston’s nude scene.

“We do not see the ladies in this movie showing their kibbles and bits, but we do get to see your…English countryside,” Stephen Colbert noted.

Calling Crimson Peak a Gothic romance, Hiddleston insisted that means the inclusion of love, death, sex, and violence.

“I don’t know how anyone else has sex,” Tom Hiddleston said. “As far as I understand it if you keep your pants on it’s not gonna work.”

Colbert chimed in, saying this was why Victorians were so repressed.

Crimson Peak’s director Guillermo del Toro was on hand for the conversation, too, which was hilarious.

Crimson Peak stars Mia Wasikowska, who plays aspiring novelist Edith Cushing. After she falls for Tom Hiddleston’s brooding character Thomas Sharpe, the two leave turn-of-the-century New York for the far spookier climes of his ancestral home in the north of England. All too soon Edith encounters ghosts of the past, though it’s the very present tense threat posed by her sister-in-law Lucille (played by Jessica Chastain) that poses the greatest danger to her. Wandering the haunted halls of the crumbling mansion, Edith suspects that the siblings are harboring some disturbing secrets that could wind up dedadly.

Tom Hiddleston compares Crimson Peak to another Giullermo del Toro film, The Devil’s Backbone.

“Guillermo’s explanation of the supernatural is made very clear in [that film],” Hiddleston says. “He says, ‘What is a ghost? A tragedy condemned to repeat itself time and again, an instant of pain, something dead which seems to be alive.’ I remember it really struck me. There’s a twin line in Crimson, which is Lucille’s, which is, ‘The horror was for love, love makes monsters of us all.’”

Will you be checking out Crimson Peak? It opened in theaters nationwide on Friday.

You can be sure Stephen Colbert will visit the box office or score some Fandango tickets. After all, Tom Hiddleston has that nude scene.

  • Jessica Chastain Once Pretended To Be Bryce Dallas Howard

Jessica Chastain and fellow actress Bryce Dallas Howard look very much alike and that fact has not gone unnoticed lately.

In fact, Jessica Chastian and Bryce Dallas Howard get credit where credit isn’t due on many occasions for roles that the other played.

Earlier this year, Jessica Chastain even posted a song parody to Instagram of Bryce Dallas Howard claiming that she is NOT Jessica Chastain. Whew!

But, in real life, Bryce Dallas Howard said she loves getting mistaken for the very similar-looking Jessica Chastain.

Howard said of the constant mix up, “First of all, any day where I get confused for Jess is a very good day. She’s one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever seen.”

Everyone get it yet? : ) performance by #BryceDallasHoward not #JessicaChastain

Jessica Chastain, herself, admitted that she has actually allowed people to think that she is Bryce Dallas Howard. Out of politeness, of course.

Jessica Chastain told Jimmy Fallon of one particular incident that took place on a New York subway in 2004, saying, “Then they go, ‘Yes, The Village was such a great movie.’”

Of course, The Village was Bryce Dallas Howard.

Jessica Chastain continued, “I had this moment of do I tell them that they’re wrong and it’s not me, or do I pretend I’m Bryce. So I pretended I was Bryce.”

I’m sure that would have been much easier than explaining the confusion.

What do you think of the confusion between Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard?

  • Crimson Peak Director, Stars Have In-Depth Discussion On Google Talk Show

Google hosts a series of “Talks at Google” which tend to be in-depth discussions with people doing interesting things in a variety of fields. They recently had one with Crimson Peak director Guillermo del Torro and stars Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, and Mia Wasikowska.

Crimson Peak is everywhere this week with the stars making the talk show rounds promoting it ahead of its release on October 16, and Google appears to have just been another stop. It is noteworthy, however, as these talks tend to be quite lengthy – much more so than your average talk show spot.

The talk hasn’t been made available to viewers just yet, but Google posted a preview:

Google says that due to the in-depth nature of the talk, they’re going to hold off posting the whole thing until after the theatrical release of Crimson Peak as to avoid spoilers.

It sounds like this will be a discussion for fans of the film to really dig into, so keep an eye on the Talks at Google YouTube channel if you see the film and enjoy it.

In the meantime, here’s what Jessica Chastain has to say about her belief in ghosts.

  • Jessica Chastain Believes In Ghosts

Jessica Chastain has been making headlines for her unique look on the cover of W Magazine, but she’s making the rounds promoting Crimson Peak, the new ghost movie from Guillermo del Toro, which opens this Friday, and appeared on The Today Show.

Chastain discussed the film and her role in it with Matt Lauer, mentioning that she’s a big fan of gothic romances and enjoyed Interview with a Vampire in particular.

Lauer shifted the conversation by asking if she believes in ghosts, to which she replied, “Yep.”

Prodded about if she meant the “floating figure ghosts” or just the “misplaced spirits ghosts,” Chastain replied that, “It’s more fun to believe in ghosts than to not believe in ghosts. So yes, I believe in ghosts. Sometimes the lights will turn on and off if I’m in London or something, and I always say, ‘Hey, okay, great, you’re here. I recognize you. I’m super tired. Please let me sleep.’”

She went on to admit that it could be an electrical thing, adding that it’s more fun to believe someone is trying to communicate with her.

Lauer said he saw a rocking chair move once.

In Crimson Peak, Jessica Chastain plays Lucille Sharp, whose brother moves his new wife into the family’s home.

  • Jessica Chastain: “Crimson Peak” Actress Incognito, But Not for Halloween

Jessica Chastain is almost unrecognizable on the November W magazine cover and on the inside spread. The Crimson Peak actress wasn’t simply scouring for Halloween options, but underwent a style transformation that showed off her very diverse personality and range of talents.

This marked the third time Jessica Chastain covered W, but this cover and spread are unlike anything she’s done before.

Part of the spread features Jessica Chastain with long, hot-pink hair. In the rest, the star of The Martian sports platinum blonde locks, styled in a pompadour.

An interview inside W proves that Jessica Chastain’s personality is as adaptable as her appearance. She dishes on a future film role she’d love to score.

“One of my goals is to play a villain in a Bond film. People ask me if I want to be a Bond girl, and I say, ‘No, I want to be the villain.’ I’m waiting for that call!”

Besides Crimson Peak and The Martian, Jessica Chastain is known for roles in Interstellar, Zero Dark Thirty, and The Help.

Would you have readily recognized Jessica Chastain had her name not been on the W magazine cover and within its pages?

Do these Jessica Chastain shots give you any ideas for Halloween?

  • Jessica Chastain Definitely NOT In Love With “Crimson Peak” Co-Star Charlie Hunnam

Jessica Chastain was quick to put the rumors to rest that she had fallen hard for her gorgeous Crimson Peak co-star, Charlie Hunnam.

Starting the rumor herself, Jessica Chastain expressed worry that she might be in trouble last year when it was made known that Charlie Hunnam would be her co-star.

Jessica Chastain said (jokingly), “Are you telling me I’m going to fall in love with Charlie Hunnam on set?”

All joking aside, there was a likelihood there that would have been true for any female. Right?

However, at last weekend’s Comic-Con, Jessica Chastain revealed that she had made it through filming Crimson Peak and had not succumbed to his charm.

    Do we scare you? #SDCC for #CrimsonPeak @twhiddleston #miawasikowska @ew

Jessica Chastain said, “I did not fall in love with Charlie, press out! I do love him, but I’m not in love with him.”

Jessica Chastain did admit that Charlie Hunnam is “absolutely gorgeous” and revealed that he is a very generous person when it comes to birthdays.

She added, “He’s so nice. He bought me this incredible thoughtful birthday present, this amazing artist and this book of photographs. He’s just this normal down-to-earth [guy]. So cool.”

Jessica Chastain was probably only able to resist because of her long-term relationship with Italian fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo.

But, that’s pretty much all we know of her love life because Jessica Chastain (wisely) keeps it under wraps.

Jessica Chastain told E!, “When I’m engaged someday—who knows to who—I’ll probably be more open about it.”

She added, “Seeing all these interviews with actors talking about loves of their lives and then they break up in a year and you’re thinking, ‘What if something happens and they end up being a total jerk?’ Then you forever have these pictures of you standing on the red carpets together.”

    Smart move.

Are you excited to see Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam in Crimson Peak, even if they aren’t in love?

  • Jessica Chastain Appears in New Trailer for Horror Film ‘Crimson Peak’

Jessica Chastain appears in a new trailer for the upcoming horror film Crimson Peak.

Set in a three story Victorian mansion on an abandoned lot, the haunted house in Crimson Peak seemingly takes on a mind of its own, replete with demonic voices, shadowy figures, and creepy sounds emerging from every corner. Lady Lucille Sharpe (played by Jessica Chastain) and her questionable intentions are highlighted in the trailer as she tells Edith (played by Mia Wasikowska) to avoid certain parts of the spooky home.

In addition to Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska, director Guillermo del Toro has cast Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam and Tom Hiddleston in the horror flick.

Even Stephen King believes the film is worthy of those who love horror.

In addition to Crimson Peak, Jessica Chastain is known for her work in films including The Help and Interstellar.

Will you be checking out Mia Wasikowska, Charlie Hunnam, Tom Hiddleston, and Jessica Chastain when Crimson Peak opens in theaters in October?

Given that Crimson Peak received Stephen King’s endorsement, it might well be the best horror flick to hit theaters during the Halloween season in a long time.

  • Jessica Chastain: From High School Dropout to Hollywood Royalty

Jessica Chastain may have dropped out of high school as a teen, but she is certainly showing where her talents lie with two Oscar nominations, a Golden Globe award and much critical acclaim.

The 37-year-old actress told Entertainment Weekly Thursday that she didn’t graduate from high school. Chastain attended Sacramento’s El Camino Fundamental High School, but never received her diploma.

“Nobody knows this about me — I dropped out of high school,” Chastain told the magazine. “I was not a hard worker. I was a terrible student.”

Like so many other artistic types, the A Most Violent Year actress was just biding her time until she found her niche in life, and she sure found her niche.

The Interstellar actress has starred in a slew of big films, including Zero Dark Thirty, Mama, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, and the upcoming Crimson Peak.

“Eventually I got my adult diploma, but I did not graduate,” said Chastain, who later attended Juilliard through a scholarship from Robin Williams when she was 22. “It wasn’t that I just dropped out and never went back — at the end of the year I had too many absences to graduate… I would cut school and sit in my car, reading Shakespeare.”

Chastain, who was nominated for an Oscar for her roles in 2012’s Zero Dark Thirty and 2011’s The Help, said her failure to complete high school did effect her confidence.

“I thought that I wasn’t an intelligent person because I did so poorly,” she said. “There are kids out there that aren’t doing well in school and I hope they never think it means they’re stupid. It’s all about finding where your interest lies and finding what you’re good at.”

Yep, it’s all about finding your niche in life.

  • Benedict Cumberbatch In “Star Wars: Episode VII”?!

Rumors have recently been spreading around the internet saying that Benedict Cumberbatch may be appearing in the new ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’.

Cumberbatch was originally supposed to be acting in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming film titled ‘Crimson Peak’. He dropped out of being apart of ‘Crimson Peak’, which began being produced about the same time as the up an coming Star Wars trilogy.

When he gave up the offer of working with Guillermo del Toro, no reason was given as to why he had made this decision. Perhaps he left the set of ‘Crimson Peak’ so that he could begin working on a role in Star Wars?

Cumberbatch was in the movie, Star Trek Into Darkness, which was directed by J.J. Abrams. The new Star Wars movie is also being directed by J.J. Abrams. Since they had such a strong bond when working together during the filming of Star Trek, it would be of no surprise if they came together again to produce another movie.

Apparently Benedict Cumberbatch has always been a fan of Star Wars. In a recent interview with Total Film, he discussed both Star Trek and Star Wars, but leaned more toward being a Star Wars fan. “I was much more connected to [Star Wars] as a kid, in the way that a lot of kids are because it’s immediate storytelling, very simple – a beautifully, outrageously simple narrative in a way – and a wonderful three-act melodrama, opera. And I loved them. I really, really loved those films and I always wanted to be Han Solo. Everything Harrison Ford did I just thought was the coolest thing ever – Raiders Of The Lost Ark was very much my upbringing as well,” he told Total Film.

With the production of Star Wars: Episode VII currently being in the works, Benedict Cumberbatch’s announcement pertaining to staring in the movie, could take place any day now.
