  • Kailyn Lowry Not Pleased With Jenelle Evans’s Comments About Cosmetic Surgery

    Kailyn Lowry had a wealth of cosmetic surgeries at the hands of Dr. Miami, Michael Salzhauer. Recently foregoing a cosmetic procedure of her own, Teen Mom 2 costar Jenelle Evans commented just days ago on the work Kailyn Lowry had done. Kailyn apparently doesn’t like what Jenelle had to say.

    “She looks great, and I’m happy [for her],” Jenelle Evans said about Kailyn Lowry during an interview with Us Weekly. “Whatever makes her happy. That’s her choice. It’s just not mine. It’s her decision. It’s her body. No one can tell her what to do.”

    Kailyn Lowry somehow found this offensive, and took to Twitter to express her thoughts.

    In typical Teen Mom 2 fashion, Jenelle Evans countered Kailyn Lowry’s tweet with one of her own.

    The ridiculous drama that takes place between these Teen Mom stars is more than most can fathom. Just weeks ago, Kailyn Lowry and Jenelle Evans were great friends. Jenelle was promoting Kailyn’s new book.

    “Congrats to my cast member and friend @kaillowry on her book if your in NJ this weekend check her out @ Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ,” she captioned the Instagram post.

  • Jenelle Evans: No Cosmetic Surgery for “Teen Mom 2” Star

    Jenelle Evans isn’t going the route of her costar Kailyn Lowry. She won’t be having the cosmetic surgery she considered to shave down her chin.

    Thinking of going under the knife of Dr. Miami–Michael Salzhauer–for the procedure, Jenelle Evans even traveled to Miami to visit with the doctor–the same cosmetic surgeon who performed Kailyn Lowry’s multiple procedures.

    “I’ve just been really insecure about my chin for a long time,” Jenelle Evans says in an interview with Us Weekly. “I just thought it was really pointy, and ever since getting older, my face is growing.”

    “When I heard how extensive that surgery is, and how he told me I’d have to get a CT scan and X-rays and the whole nine yards, every single detail, every bone in my jaw, I was like, ‘I don’t want to do this,’” the mom of two adds.

    Jenelle Evans has had cosmetic procedures before. She had her breasts enlarged a few years back, and in recent months had Juvederm lip injections for a fuller pout.

    “I think I’m fine with the way I look,” she says. “I work out at the gym. If I want a bigger butt, I’m going to work for it. I’m going to build it up with muscle, not implants or injections. If I don’t like my stomach, I’m going to go work out, stay active and healthy, because honestly, you can go get all this work done, but in a couple years, gravity is going to pull all that down, and it’s not going to look that great.”

    Even though she opted not to have cosmetic surgery, Jenelle Evans doesn’t begrudge Kailyn Lowry her procedures.

    “She looks great, and I’m happy [for her],” Evans says. “Whatever makes her happy. That’s her choice. It’s just not mine. It’s her decision. It’s her body. No one can tell her what to do.”

    Jenelle Evans wasn’t quite so kind when talking about Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham, however. She has undergone multiple cosmetic surgeries.

    “She does look good, but she looks weird compared to what I’m used to seeing her look like in the past,” she says. “But like I said, in 10 to 20 years, it’s all going to change, and then she’s going to have to get more to fix that, and then that’s going to spend more money–and is she going to have the money?”

  • Jennifer Connelly Sees No Need for Surgery to Look Gorgeous

    Jennifer Connelly is one of those actresses that men have lusted after ever since they saw her in Labyrinth as a teen. She has classic girl-next-door beauty. The thing is, Jennifer Connelly is pretty blasé about the whole thing.

    “Jennifer is wildly beautiful, but she has no investment in it,” Connelly’s husband and Avengers star Paul Bettany told More Magazine. “Our two sons spend more time in the bathroom in the morning than she does. That pressure to be attractive hasn’t ever landed on her.”

    Connelly herself has an approach to aging that defies the usual Hollywood conventions.

    “We equate beauty for women with youth, and that’s sad. It’s a shame it’s so hard for so many of us to appreciate the beauty of an older woman and to accept it in ourselves,” says Connelly. “I don’t want to erase my history on my face.”

    So often, women in Hollywood who trade on their looks choose to have surgical enhancements in an effort to stay marketable. Maybe Connelly is blessed that she does not seem to have to make that choice. But she does have an opinion on it.

    “There’s a window of time, a hump to get over, because it’s inevitable. I love that Radiohead song “Fake Plastic Trees”: ‘He used to do surgery for girls in the ’80s, but gravity always wins,’ ” she says. “It’s certainly a dialogue I have with myself. And I don’t judge; every woman has to make her own choice. But for me it’s more beautiful to see the person.”

    Of course, some surgical enhancements are not because they are needed. Many younger women in Hollywood, particularly reality TV stars, are choosing at a younger and younger age to get lip enhancements and other alterations.

    For our money, Connelly can just keep right on doing what she’s doing.

  • Khloe Kardashian Sought Refuge at Gym During Split from Lamar Odom

    Khloe Kardashian’s heart broke when things went south between her and hubby Lamar Odom. Strangely enough, however, she wound up in the best shape of her life as a result of it. While some people turn to alcohol, food, or even drugs to ease the pain of a broken heart, Khloe Kardashian turned to workouts at the gym.

    “When me and Lamar were having issues, I decided to channel my energy into working out,” she says in the most recent issue of Cosmopolitan Body. “If I went out with my girlfriends, I would be hounded by paparazzi and made to feel more humiliated.”

    “The gym was my only refuge. I could put music on and dance around with my girlfriends and be silly,” she adds.

    Khloe Kardashian not only looks healthier since her split from Lamar Odom–she seems like her emotional state is healthier, too. She insists that her healthier body is for herself and definitely not for her Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans.

    Less than a week ago, Khloe shared the following workout shot on Instagram.

    “No pain. No gain,” she captioned it.

    “Now on my Instagram page people comment saying ‘I liked you better when you were bigger,’” Khloe shares in the magazine interview, “and I think, ‘Thank God I don’t live my life for other people because I’d be in a constant tug of war.’”

    Even though Khloe Kardashian has an abundance of money and could afford to have cosmetic procedures done to further enhance her new, slimmer look, she prefers to do it all on her own.

    “I’m not against plastic surgery–if you want to do a tweak, I’m all for it, but you have to love yourself first because no surgery is going to change your heart,” the reality star says. “It would have been so easy to get liposuction or whatever, but you have to be healthy to maintain that. I’ve always felt, ‘Wouldn’t it be great to accomplish that on your own?’”

    Kudos to Khloe Kardashian for her healthy new body and for not succumbing to the lure of plastic surgery. She is naturally beautiful and healthy from her own hard work and diligence. If she had to seek refuge following her split from Lamar Odom, this was probably the most constructive way to do so.

  • Farrah Abraham: From ‘Teen Mom’ to Porn Star and Back, and Now to Cosmetic Surgery Career?

    Farrah Abraham has run the questionable career gamut in the past few years–all the way from Teen Mom star to porn star–and back again. Now the Teen Mom OG star, who is known for undergoing several cosmetic procedures, hopes to pursue a career in the cosmetic surgery field.

    Now, you’re likely thinking, this is a far cry from appearing on a reality show or making appearances in a strip club or writing erotic fiction–and you’re absolutely right. Farrah Abraham claims she can no longer limit herself, however, and needs to not only dream big, but plan big for her future.

    “I just think back and I wish I knew to tell myself, ‘Why be content? Why settle for what’s just there and be OK with it?” she told E! News.

    “My mindset before was so limited and so small-minded. I’ve learned from growth and being less judgmental, really expanding and saying don’t just settle and focus on one thing. There’s many other things you can do.”

    “Hopefully in five years I can go back to school. I really want to get my doctorate and I want to do plastic surgery,” Farrah Abraham adds. “So that’s just something on top of all of the other things I want to do but that would probably be my end goal.”

    Farrah even voiced her support recently for Bruce Jenner and the cosmetic procedures he will likely undergo in his transition from a man to a woman.

    “I feel like if somebody wants to do that and change themselves…that’s his own choice and there’s nothing wrong with it,” she said recently.

    Now lest you think Farrah Abraham has no experience in cosmetic surgery at all, it’s important to bring up her breast implants and her recent botched lip job. She may not be a plastic surgeon, but at least she knows what doesn’t look good.

    Do you think it’s possible to go from being a Teen Mom star to a porn star and back again, and then make the huge leap to cosmetic surgeon? If you’ve ever seen some of the cosmetic surgeons in places like L.A. or Miami, you might not find that such a far-fetched notion at all.

    Maybe Bruce Jenner will one day go see Dr. Farrah Abraham for some cosmetic surgery. What would Kris Jenner and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians gang think about that?

  • Andressa Urach In ICU Due To Botched Butt Implant

    Andressa Urach, runner up in the 2012 ‘Miss Bumbum’ pageant in Brazil, was hospitalized Saturday, due to a botched procedure intended to enhance her buttocks and thighs.

    Urach, 27, is said to be in “serious condition” in a hospital in the southern city of Porto Alegre. The Brazilian ingenue developed an infection following a procedure to remove a gel-like substance which was injected into her thighs. The television presenter is presently on a ventilator, and is sedated.

    The offending substance, hydrogel, is legal in Brazil in small doses, where it is used to increase the size of women’s thighs and buttocks. Urach reportedly had twice the recommended dose injected into her legs.

    A hydrogel is a network of polymer chains which are highly absorbent, and maintain a degree of flexibility similar to natural tissue, due to their significant water content. Urach also opted to be injected with another substance called PMMA, a transparent thermoplastic, which is used as a shatter-resistant alternative to glass.

    Urach began feeling the effects of the products in July, and commented, “The hydrogel was not absorbed by my body and started to harm me. Now I’ve discovered that the PMMA is sticking to my muscles and causing the tissue to rot. That’s why I am feeling such strong pains. I’m taking morphine every four hours and antibiotics to alleviate the suffering.”

    The possible effects of injecting chemicals into one’s legs:

    Urach’s mother posted a message to the model’s Facebook fan page Wednsday- “I am certain because of my faith in God that she is going to be cured. I thank all of you from my heart and ask you to continue praying, because this is going to be just one more battle and I know my baby is going to come out of this victorious.”

    Brazil’s Miss BumBum competition is a big deal in that country. Last year two contestants were accused of bribing judges.

  • Heidi Montag: First Red Carpet Since Last October’s Breast Reduction

    Heidi Montag celebrated the one-year mark since she underwent breast reduction surgery by walking the red carpet at a Hollywood event last week. The event was the 10-year anniversary of a tabloid magazine, but Heidi likely felt like it was her own celebration, too.

    Heidi–along with hubby Spencer Pratt–was known for her appearance on the TV show The Hills. Sadly, she is even better known for the ridiculous number of cosmetic surgery procedures she underwent back in 2010 to transform herself into what she believed then she needed to be. She reportedly had a total of 10 surgeries, including a boob job, nose job, brow lift, chin reduction and neck liposuction and getting her ears pinned back.

    Heidi Montag’s breast reduction didn’t come as a result of her deciding to go back to her ‘natural’ self, but rather at the suggestion of a physician, who explained to her that the F-cup implants were actually at risk of falling out through her skin near the bottom of her breasts.

    “He told me they were falling through the bottom, and I got scared,” Montag confessed. “It’s super dangerous. They can fall through to your belly button!”

    About a year ago Heidi told Us Weekly that she was uncomfortable with the implants.

    “I couldn’t conceptualize the weight of them in my body,” she said. “They felt like bowling balls on my chest. I felt inappropriate. Guys would stare at me really creepily and felt they had the right to because I had such big boobs.”

    Heidi Montag–or at least her breasts–likely appeared far more realistic as she walked that red carpet last week, dressed in a fitted black topped tucked into a black leather skirt. She accessorized her look with strappy gold sandals and a matching bag. For the first time in a long time, people probably noticed her pretty face before they stared at her breasts.

  • Kylie Jenner Slams Cosmetic Surgery Rumors

    Kylie Jenner is slamming rumors about having had cosmetic surgery, and adds that she’s both insulted and a bit hurt by the suggestion that she’s had such procedures done. She wants to remind fans that she’s only 16 years old and that both her face and body are still changing.

    Some sites and print publications have said lately that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has undergone a wealth of procedures, and that’s why she’s becoming better looking all the time.

    It’s sad to see young women Kylie Jenner’s age set up as targets of these mean spirited rumors.

    Kylie took to Twitter to express her exasperation with the ridiculous claims–and to set some of those fueling such rumors straight.

    And then just in case it wasn’t clear enough, she added this one, too.

    It’s important for people to remember that in addition to only being 16–a time when everything about her is changing–that the young starlet has always had access to some amazing makeup artists who have constantly made Kylie Jenner look her best. Now that she is growing up a bit and doing her own hair and makeup she is going to look a bit different.

    Big sister Kim Kardashian was accused of having undergone cosmetic surgery procedures earlier this year after she suddenly looked quite svelte after having given birth to baby North West.

    A fan came to Kim’s defense.

    “Why is it so hard to believe she works out hard for her body? Let her be skinny in peace! You look great!”

    “Preach! LOL thank you,” Kim Kardashian replied. “It sucks when people make up surgery or photoshop lies when I am so disciplined & work so hard! Just trying to motivate others & show anyone struggling with weight they can totally achieve whatever they want if they are dedicated!”

    Surely lots of fans are in Kylie Jenner’s court, too. One day she will be able to laugh off these claims like her big sisters all have at one time or another. For now, however, hopefully the rude and hurtful remarks will stop and those making them will realize Kylie is a teenager and should be allowed to grow up surrounded by some semblance of peace–even from the paparazzi and the tabloids.

  • Christie Brinkley: Daughter Alexa Ray Joel Transformed?

    Christie Brinkley is gorgeous at age 60. Her daughter with Billy Joel–Alexa Ray Joel–never looked much like her supermodel mom. Throughout the past months, however, she seems to look even less like Alexa Ray Joel. Has she been completely transformed by cosmetic surgery? It seems lots of people believe she has.

    The 28-year-old singer’s rep claims that’s simply not the case, but rather the result of ‘maturity’ instead.

    “Alexa has never had any plastic surgery other than a rhinoplasty, which she has admitted to,” the rep said in an interview with Us Magazine. “She’s simply matured into a beautiful young woman.”

    Joel even commented on the rumors about her supposed extensive cosmetic procedures on her Facebook page.

    Christie Brinkley said back in January of this year that she has never had cosmetic surgery herself, but that she isn’t opposed to the idea.

    “I’d never say never [to plastic surgery],” Brinkley told PEOPLE magazine. “But there are so many other non-invasive choices that address sagging, wrinkling and discoloration.”

    It was rumored that Christie Brinkley had a face lift back in 2010–just a day before Alexa Ray Joel had her facelift–but she has remained coy about the rumor.

    Given Brinkley’s attitude about cosmetic surgery, it certainly wouldn’t be unheard of for Alexa Ray Joel to have undergone some additional procedures besides her rhinoplasty. When one grows up in a home where her mother is Christie Brinkley, it might be hard to live feeling you were anything less than physically beautiful.
