  • Dianna Agron: Former “Glee” Star Shows Off Engagement Ring from Winston Marshall

Dianna Agron and her beau Winston Marshall of Mumford & Sons fame became engaged over the holidays. For the first time since then, the former Glee star has confirmed her engagement.

It was at London Fashion Week on Monday that Dianna Agron was spotted sporting her gorgeous diamond engagement ring. Set in yellow gold, the diamond is rose-cut, and according to E! News, appears to be approximately four to six carats in size.

Dianna Agron isn’t the only former Glee star in the news this week. Lea Michele made news for her split from boyfriend Matthew Paetz. Paetz is the first person Lea dated following the untimely passing of Cory Monteith. Paetz reportedly broke things off with Lea Michele, and sources say she is taking it hard.

Sadly Lea isn’t enjoying the kind of positive reports in the media as Dianna Agron. Agron’s engagement is definitely better news than a breakup.

Hopefully Lea Michele gets over her heartache soon, and Dianna Agron continues to revel in the excitement of her upcoming nuptials.

Dianna Agron and Winston Marshall have yet to announce when they will tie that proverbial knot.

  • Lea Michele and Boyfriend Matthew Paetz Call It Quits

Lea Michele, best known for her role as Rachel Berry on Glee, and her boyfriend of two years, Matthew Paetz, have called it quits.

A source tells E! News that in spite of the breakup, Lea is doing just fine.

“She’s doing well and is focusing on friends and work,” the source says. “This has been very sudden and hard, but if anyone can pick herself up it’s Lea. She has a great network of friends.”

Matthew Paetz was the first person Lea Michele took a chance at love with following the untimely death of her longtime love and Glee costar Cory Monteith. Known for his Glee role as Finn Hudson, Cory died of an accidental overdose in the summer of 2013.

Since the split, Lea Michele has kept busy, and appears to be leaning on her close network of girlfriends.

“Girls day at @coteshop w/ my girl @itsbeccatobin ???,” she captioned this Instagram post from a couple of days ago.

Us Weekly reports Lea Michele is crushed by the split, and that Matthew Paetz had “had enough.” He supposedly refuses to take her back. The publication, of course, fails to mention why. E! News reports he wouldn’t give Lea Michele a reason for breaking up with her.

Are you surprised to learn Lea Michele is once again single? The Scream Queens star is talented and beautiful–not to mention rich. It’s unlikely she’ll be that way for very long.

  • Lea Michele Says Late Boyfriend and ‘Glee’ Costar Cory Monteith ‘Would Love’ Current Beau Matthew Paetz

Lea Michele has moved on with her life following the tragic death of former boyfriend and Glee costar Cory Monteith to a drug overdose, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t still think of him and how he might feel about her life in 2016.

While chatting on the Fempire podcast Tuesday, Michele, 29, said that she believes Monteith, who died in 2013 from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol, would approve of current boyfriend Matthew Paetz.

“He is very respectful for the person that I was with. And that again is something I love so much about him and I really know that Cory would love him too,” Michele said. “And that’s all that we really hold within our hearts, and so does everyone else in my life.”

Michele and Monteith dated for two years before his tragic death that left the actress and singer devastated.

Almost a year after Monteith’s demise, Lea met 30-year-old Paetz while shooting the music video for her single On My Way. As their romance grew, so did the backlash from fans, much to her dismay.

“I love my fans. They’re incredible and they were really a part of my whole story and my whole journey with me, so I do come from a place of understanding, but it’s also really hard,” she said. “You know, every time I post a picture, then it’s just a landslide of comments that talk about my past and bring that up rather than projecting positivity.”

Even though she has faced scrutiny and negativity because of her relationship with Paetz, Lea Michele says he has shown never-ending support for her.

“It’s really, I have to say, that is honestly what I love so much about Matt. That’s honestly what is so incredible about him because at the end of the day, this industry is really tough and the only way to really get through is to create a solid unit. And that’s really what we have been since day one,” Michele continued. “We’ve stood by each other through anything that was thrown our way. He’s such a great man that he would never really let anything like that ever crack our lovely little core that we’ve created.”

  • Lea Michele, Other ‘Glee’ Stars Remember Cory Monteith on His Birthday

Lea Michele is keeping the memory of Cory Monteith alive.

On Monday, Lea Michele took to Twitter to remember her late Glee co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith on what would have been his 33rd birthday.

Monteith, who died in July 2013 from a mix of heroin and alcohol, would have turned 33 on May 11. To mark the occasion, Lea Michele shared a photo and sweet message about her former love.

“I know you’re serenading everyone right now. We love you Cory! Happy Birthday..” she wrote.

Last summer, Michele and other Glee stars also paid tribute to Monteith on the anniversary of his death. “We will love you and miss you always,” the actress said.

Other Glee stars also marked the day.

Mark Salling, took to Twitter to remember his friend and “brother.”

Amber Riley, who played Mercedes, shared a photo on her Instagram with the caption, “I miss you! Gone but never ever forgotten. Happy Birthday brother.”

Kevin McHale posted his own touching message.

  • Lea Michele Bids Adieu to Rachel Berry and ‘Glee’

Lea Michele said her first official goodbye to her character, Rachel Berry, as well as to Glee, the show on which she has starred since 2009, on Saturday. While subsequent goodbyes are certain to take place, Lea Michele has wrapped her filming for the show, and this marks the end of an era for the actress.

Glee will have aired for a total of six seasons and 121 episodes when fans officially say their goodbyes during the show’s finale in March.

Even though Lea Michele has moved on with a new man, saying goodbye to Glee will likely stir up some old emotions regarding the passing of her boyfriend and costar Cory Monteith. Monteith played the role of Finn Hudson, who was long in a relationship with Michele’s Rachel Berry on several seasons of Glee. Monteith died in July of 2013 of an accidental drug overdose.

Lea Michele thanked her fans and her Glee cast and crew via Twitter on Friday and Saturday.

Can you believe Glee is ending after six seasons? Do you think you will miss the show anywhere near as much as Lea Michele will?

  • Lea Michele Calls New York Her Home

Lea Michele is a fan of big family dinners, and that’s what she reportedly yearns for when life seems just a bit too crazy for her liking. The Glee star who mourned the death of boyfriend and costar Cory Monteith a year ago, lives in Los Angeles but grew up in New York. And it’s New York she heads for when the going gets tough.

“A good dinner with my mom and dad and my big Italian family,” she said during a recent interview. “No matter what is going on in my life or in this business, that is my home.”

When asked about her fame, Lea Michele recently said she can’t believe how far she’s come. She admits the roots to that fame lie in New York, too. She was cast in a Broadway production at the age of eight.

“I never thought I would be on such an amazing show and living in LA, so this has so far exceeded anything I could have dreamt of,” she said. “I think it teaches you not to set limits for yourself and to go 100 per cent into whatever you believe in.”

Barbra Steisand–a fellow native New Yorker–is Lea Michele’s role model–a rather unusual choice for such a young woman–but there’s something rather classic about Lea, so why wouldn’t she emulate one of the best?

“I really love her. She’s always been a role model. She built her career by focusing on what makes her unique–it’s how she became so successful,” Lea said recently. “I want to introduce that idea to this generation–that you take what makes you unique, what makes you you, and you will achieve all your dreams. It really is what has got me to where I am today.”

Where Lea Michele is today is on the hit TV show Glee. But did you know she’s also an author?

Lea can also add recording artist and being a former Broadway play cast member to her impressive resume.

Yes, Lea Michele has hit some pretty serious bumps along the road of her young life, but she has bounced back. Those who admire Lea know there’s way more to come. And she knows there are those huge family dinners–just waiting to make everything alright when she needs some reassurance.

  • Lea Michele and Boyfriend Matthew Paetz Hold Hands at LAX

Lea Michele and boyfriend Matthew Paetz were spotted holding hands at LAX on Tuesday.

The couple was seen catching a departing flight out of Los Angeles and, though they were both wearing sunglasses, didn’t appear to be trying to hide their romance.

The 27-year-old Glee star met Paetz, a model and video music star, while filming her “On My Way” video.

Michele dated her Glee costar Cory Monteith until his tragic death from a drug overdose on July 13, 2013.

Although Michele has since admitted to having dated Monteith briefly at the beginning of Glee (the series premiered in 2009,) it wasn’t until late 2011 that they officially became a couple.

“One day we just looked at each other and we were like, ‘You wanna do this?’ We knew,” Michele remembered.

But in March 2013 Monteith ended up in rehab – and not for the first time. He’d started using drugs and alcohol at age 13 and had struggled with addiction on and off in the years since.

“I can only imagine what it looks like from the outside,” Michele said about that struggle becoming public knowledge in 2013. “It was such a short period of time between when people found out to, you know, July, but there are so many personal aspects of this whole journey that people are not invited to know. We had a full life, and that had lots of different details that will be ours forever, for only us to know.”

Michele’s debut studio album Louder was essentially finished at the time of Monteith’s death. When the label asked if she wanted to add anything, she initially said no. Then she reconsidered:

“I was like, ‘I might regret it if I don’t.’”

One of the songs she added was “If You Say So,” named for the last words Monteith said to her.

Although Michele appears to be moving past her grief, she recently posted a tribute to Monteith on Twitter:

When Glee returns sometime in 2015 for a sixth and final season, Michele will be part of the cast.

It’s also been rumored that she’ll star as Elphaba in the movie adaptation of the Broadway hit Wicked.

When she’s not busy singing and acting, the multi-talented Michele is writing. Her book, a lifestyle guide titled Brunette Ambition, released in May.

  • Lea Michele Talks Cory Monteith One Year Later

Lea Michele is remembering Cory Monteith today–the one-year anniversary of her boyfriend and former Glee costar’s untimely death. Monteith died from a heroin overdose in a Vancouver hotel room last July. The two had been dating for more than a year. Even though the actress and singer has started to move on, she will forever hold dear her treasured memories of time spent with Cory Monteith.

Lea and Cory starred opposite each other on Glee–she in her role as Rachel Berry and Cory as Finn Hudson–and were at one point a romantic couple on the show as well as in person.

Earlier on Sunday Lea Michele posted a touching tribute to Cory Monteith in the form of a tweet. It includes a photo of the young actor with a backdrop of a beautiful beach sunset.

Lea’s message was retweeted by former Glee costar Chris Colfer and thousands of followers and fans.

Several other Glee cast members also tweeted their tributes to Cory Monteith on Sunday.

Matthew Morrison had the following to say.

    Dot-Marie Jones posted two tweets.

Amber Patrice Riley shared the following message.

Jenna Ushkowitz posted a photo on Instagram in memory of Cory. Her caption reads, “365 days since you’ve gone and not a day passes we don’t remember your smiling face. We miss you buddy. Thanks to everyone for your love and support today while we remember our quarterback.”

Among the more poignant messages–sent via Twitter–came from Glee’s creator Ryan Murphy. Simple and understated, it spoke volumes.

While Cory Monteith’s family members and Lea Michele are no doubt feeling a much deeper level of grief over his passing a year ago, it’s plain to see that his costars are still feeling his loss, too. Perhaps after this first year of mourning many will find some closure in the aftermath of Cory’s tragic passing.

  • Lea Michele is Not Pregnant, Twitter Account Was Hacked

No, Lea Michele is not pregnant.

The 27-year-old was the second Glee star to have their Twitter account hacked in the past few days.

“Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant #BabyBoy,” read a message posted on her Twitter account Friday.

No one really believed the tweet was true after Glee star Chris Colfer’s account was also hacked the day before with a tweet that said he had been fired from the popular FOX show. The show’s producers said Colfer was the victim of a hacker.

“We’ve been alerted that Chris Colfer’s Twitter account has been hacked,” according to a statement from 20th Century Fox Television. “Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season.”

The Glee costars quipped about it with each other once they gained control of their accounts once again.

Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the Fox TV series, has been spotted out and about with her new boyfriend, Matthew Paetz. The new couple, who met earlier this year while filming her music video for On My Way, from her 2014 debut album, Louder, were seen picnicking together recently in L.A.

Paetz is the first person Michele has dated since losing Cory Monteith in 2013 to a heroin overdose. “She waited a long time before getting serious again and she likes him a lot,” a source revealed to E! News.

“He treats her really well, he’s smart and fun. She’s really happy,” said the source.

So good to see a smile back on Michele’s face.

  • Lea Michele Dating A Former Gigolo?

Lea Michele is finally dating again, nearly a year after her longtime boyfriend, and Glee co-star, Cory Monteith passed away from a drug overdose.

According to PEOPLE, Michele has been seeing aspiring model and actor Matthew Paetz since they met on the set of her music video On My Way in April.

Lea has struggled to cope with Cory’s death, and no one thought she would be re-entering the dating scene so soon. However, according to sources close to Michele, the relationship is currently not serious and is helping her move on from Monteith.

“For a long time, Lea wasn’t close to even thinking about getting into a relationship,” an insider revealed. “Cory’s death was and will continue to be a struggle for her.”

While the sources say that Paetz is a “very sweet and a really great” guy, his past is questionable. According to TMZ, Matthew previously worked as a gigolo for a male escort service called Cowboys4Angels. On the service’s website, Paetz went under the alias “Christian,” however his profile has since been removed. E! News tried to contact the owner Garren James, but he would not comment on Matthew’s employment history.

Despite his past, the sources explain that Paetz would make a great guy for Lea. “He will be great arm candy and he is a very nice guy, and is a lot of fun,” the source said. “He is very into being in a relationship and loves being in one. He is the kind of person who will want to be with that person all the time, but in a good way. And he is a good listener.”

Currently, Lea’s reps have not commented on the relationship.

  • Cory Monteith to Appear on Big Screen

Cory Monteith will appear on the big screen in McCanick when the film premieres this coming Friday. The Glee star died in July of a drug overdose, and fans will no doubt experience a mixed bag of emotions when they see him in this role. Monteith portrays a character named Simon Weeks, who was also a drug addict. Cory had completed his last rehab stint just weeks before his death.

Monteith is almost unrecognizable in the film. His hair is long and he altered his voice a bit as part of his character’s persona. It’s a far cry from the clean cut and very handsome Finn Hudson fans idolized on Glee. This character definitely isn’t the kind that Lea Michele–the late Monteith’s girlfriend–or Rachel Berry–the character she played on Glee–would have associated with. But then, as history tragically proved, not all drug addicts look like Simon Weeks.

McCanick director Josh C. Waller claimed the role was “cathartic” for Cory Monteith.

“You could sense it,” he said during an interview back in July. “In my mind, I was envisioning a teeny little drug guy, but Cory Monteith is this tall, strapping man,” the filmmaker recalled. “But when I met with him, he wanted to do it so badly…He was very vocal about his past, and said he wanted to tap into things from his youth that he hadn’t been able to use as an actor yet.

Check out the official McCanick trailer.

It will probably be akin to spooky for many people to see Cory Monteith on the big screen as Simon Weeks. Everyone held out such high hopes for the talented young actor. It was just about a month before he died that he had the following to say about life–and the drug addiction that would ultimately snuff it out.

“I’m lucky on so many counts—I’m lucky to be alive,” he said, adding that when he was a teenager, he would take “anything and everything, as much as possible. I had a serious problem.”

Will Lea Michele attend the premiere of McCanick this coming Friday or will Cory Monteith’s role in the film hit too close to home for the bereaved actress?

  • Cory Monteith: Final Role Is Dark And Intense

With Tuesday night’s 100th episode of Glee, fans once again remembered their favorite – Cory Monteith.

Monteith left this world too soon only eight months ago, and since then fans have only been able to remember the actor through special episodes of Glee, most notably the episode titled “The Quarterback.”

Now fans of Monteith will get to see his final performance as drug addict Simon Weeks in McCanick.

According to director Josh C. Waller, this role and the experience of portraying this character was “cathartic” for Monteith. “He didn’t say it was a cathartic experience, but you could sense it. In my mind, I was envisioning a teeny little drug guy, but Cory Monteith is this tall, strapping man. But when I met with him, he wanted to do it so badly…He was very vocal about his past, and said he wanted to tap into things from his youth that he hadn’t been able to use as an actor yet,” said Waller.

In the film, Monteith’s drug-addicted Weeks is “a street hustler who is sent to prison for seven years on murder charges.” After Weeks is paroled, “the detective who put him behind bars goes on a mission to hunt him down.” David Morse plays Detective McCanick who is hellbent on finding Weeks.

You can see a sneak peek of the film obtained by E! News in the video below.

As sad as it is that we will never see Monteith act again, Waller believes people should see the movie because that is what Monteith deserves, “I want people to see the movie, because Cory deserves that. People would ultimately see that he had a lot more to offer artistically, and it’s a shame that this happened because now he can’t explore that.”

    Fans continue to miss Monteith.

McCanick hits theaters this Friday, March 21.

  • Lea Michele Says Cory Was Not His Addiction

Lea Michele continues to open up about the loss of her love — Cory Monteith — who lost a battle with addiction in July.

The 27-year-old Glee star shared more on her relationship with Monteith and stresses that her boyfriend was much more than his struggles.

“I only have happy memories of Cory. He was not his addiction – unfortunately, it won,” she said in the April 2014 cover story for Seventeen Magazine. “But that wasn’t who he was. Cory made me feel like a queen every day. From the minute he said, ‘I’m your boyfriend,’ I loved every day, and I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful.”

On a Good Morning America Wednesday, Michele told George Stephanopoulos she couldn’t have made it through her grief without the support of friends and family.

“I’m really very, very, very thankful for all the amazing people I have in my life,” Michele said. “I know that sounds like something everyone says, but honestly, my friends and my family, they got me through this and really, really have been there for me and I couldn’t have done it without them.”

The 27-year-old actress — who just released her first solo studio album Louder — took the opportunity to pour out her heart and her grief into the album.

“I set out to make a really pop-heavy album that was fun and empowering, but then I found myself picking and writing these songs that were very emotional and dramatic,” Michele said. “Louder has songs that express extreme love and some pain. I look at it and think, That was my year. I didn’t record any songs that I didn’t completely relate to.”

One of the songs on the album — If You Say So — tells the story of her final conversation with Monteith before his death that is just heartbreaking.

  • Lea Michele Only Has Happy Memories of Cory

Popular Glee actress Lea Michele does not want her late boyfriend, Cory Monteith, to be defined by the addiction that ultimately claimed his life. In a recent interview with Seventeen magazine, Michele spoke about Cory’s unique ability to make her feel special.

“I only have happy memories of Cory. He was not his addiction – unfortunately, it won. But that wasn’t who he was. Cory made me feel like a queen every day. From the minute he said, ‘I’m your boyfriend,’ I loved every day, and I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful,” Michele shared.

In the aftermath of the public heartbreak and devastation at losing 31-year-old Monteith, Michele has thrown herself into her work. The talented singer has just released an album composed of tracks to honor her late boyfriend. Michele spoke with a representative from Seventeen prior to the album’s release where she explained the desire to continue her own unique journey while still keeping the memory of Cory alive.

“My album is coming out on March 4th—which is bizarre, like it’s meant to be. Just think about it: we’re going to “March fo(u)rth.” We’re going to march forth like a Cannonball. I try my best to march forth and live my life as best as I can for me. I also feel an incredible, happy responsibility to keep the memory and light of [Cory, who] was the most amazing person. I’m so happy to make it my journey now to continue on and live my life as best as I can,” Michele said.

  • Lea Michele On Her New Solo Album ‘Louder’

Lea Michele On Her New Solo Album ‘Louder’

Lea Michele, 27, has had a lot to overcome this year after losing her boyfriend Cory Monteith to a drug overdose last summer.

While things still aren’t easy for Lea, she is learning how to move forward, and has even been working on a new solo album Louder that was released today. During an interview with Good Morning America, Michele explains that she could not have made it this far without the love and support of her family and friends.

“I’m really very, very, very thankful for all the amazing people I have in my life,” the Glee star revealed to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “I know that sounds like something everyone says, but honestly, my friends and my family, they got me through this and really, really have been there for me and I couldn’t have done it without them.”

Michele’s new album has been compared to reading someone’s diary, and she says that is exactly what she was going for; an album that told the story of her life.

“That’s really what I sought out to do when making this record,” Lea explained. “Moving to Los Angeles from working on Broadway I was cast on ‘Glee’ within just a few weeks, so I really was introduced to the world as Rachel Berry. I wanted to take this opportunity in making this record to really let my fans know who I am, and I think the music should be personal,” she continued.

With Glee ending after this coming season, fans are curious as to what Lea will be using all of her spare time for. She admitted that she would someday like to go back to her Broadway roots. “I was so surprised with how much I fell in love with this recording process in making this album and I definitely want to make another one,” she explained. “So once I feel like I’ve scratched that itch completely, Broadway is definitely where my heart is.”

  • Lea Michelle Says Music Helped Her Heal

Since her boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away in July of 2013, actress and singer Lea Michele has been healing pretty much in front of our eyes, and she’s openly discussed exactly what Monteith meant to her and how difficult it’s been for her to move on.

One of the ways Michelle has been trying to push forward is through her music, as she’s been heavily promoting the release of her album Louder, which features the tribute song to Monteith “If You Say So.”

But the first step towards healing through music for Michelle is when she first heard the song “Cannonball,” the album’s first single. After hearing it for the first time she knew it was the perfect song to get her back on track, which is why she made it the first song on the album.

“I just literally keeled over,” said Michele. “Grief is a very scary thing, and there comes a point where it can really take you down…..When I heard “Cannonball” it lifted me up. It was what I needed to get through my difficult situation.”

In addition, the Bronx born Michelle said it was difficult for her to speak about Monteith publicly after he passed because it was so personal, but at the same time she knew their fans wanted to know how she was doing.

“A lot of people don’t know how to touch this situation,” said Michelle. “It’s like walking on eggshells. It puts it all out there. It’s really hard, we’re not denying that it’s hard, and we’re not gonna get through it….I really hope it helps people the way it helps me.”

And Michelle said she’s learned to take advantage of everything life has to offer, and although she’s heard this advice countless times before, she’s just now starting to follow suit.

“If I’ve learned anything from this past year it’s that you have one life,” said the Glee actress. ” I didn’t really understand what that meant until recently. You have to live your life to the fullest and you have to love as hard as you can love.”

  • Lea Michele And Cory Monteith Talked About Children

These past few weeks have been very eventful for the Glee cast, especially Lea Michele, who performs the character of Rachel Berry on the FOX musical drama. First, Michele released her Cory Monteith tribute song, Glee returned to television this week with the continuation of season 5, and Michele also revealed to the public that she and the late Cory Monteith had discussed the possibility of children in their future.

In the most recent edition of Glamour Magazine, Michelle posed for the popular UK magazine’s cover and was interviewed by the magazine as well. In Michele’s interview with the magazine’s Leanne Bayley, Michele stated that she and co-star Cory Monteith (who played “Finn Hudson” on Glee) talked about children prior to his death. Michele’s full statement on this premise is provided below.

“We talked about a lot of things. We talked about children and what we would look like when we grew old and who would be fat and how we would stay thin. We talked about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. We were done. We were it. When you’re at that place in your life with someone, you talk about everything. But today I feel like I was given the best part of Cory and I’m thankful for that.”

Michele was also excited about how well her photo shoot for Glamour Magazine‘s cover went and tweeted her excitement for the upcoming issue. Michele also currently appears as the wallpaper for Glamour Magazine‘s Twitter account (@GlamourMagUK) as well.

Further in the interview with Michele, the Glee star tells Glamour Magazine that she’s not ready to date just yet, but understands that Monteith would not want her to be alone in the long run:

“I’ve only ever had serious relationships so it’s an adjustment putting myself back into a place of being alone. And I was under a Cory Monteith spell…it’ll take time to readjust my mind and I’m really not wanting to do that right now. I feel like it’s so important to make sure that I’m 100% OK before I can get into a relationship. But people have to understand that I can’t be alone forever. Cory wouldn’t want that.”

Glee currently airs on FOX television on Tuesdays at 8/7c.

  • Lea Michele Releases Cory Monteith Tribute Song

Lea Michele has released her tribute song to her late love and Glee costar Cory Monteith. You’re Mine is wrought with emotion in the midst of Lea’s power house vocals and she pours her heart into the feelings she and Monteith shared. This will no doubt be the best selling track on her album Louder.

In the touching track, Michele sings: “You’re mine, for life/ And I’ll be by your side/ We are entwined/ You’re mine, for life/ Hold me until we go, oh yes, and you will love/ I’m yours, you’re mine/ I’m yours, you’re mine.”

Back in December Lea Michele said in an interview with Elle magazine that she had dedicated the song to Cory Monteith. He died back in July of an accidental drug overdose. He was just 31 years old. The two had been linked since their first Glee days and had dated for a couple of years.

“The album was done, and the label said, ‘Do you want to add anything?’ I was like, ‘I might regret it if I don’t,’” Michele told the magazine of adding the track. “It makes me so happy, this song. It makes me think so much of Cory. It was ours. When I think if him, I play this.”

Lea shared her bittersweet excitement about the release of You’re Mine via Twitter

She thanked her fans for making Cory’s song rise to the top of the charts.

You can check out Lea’s powerful song in its entirety here.

Do you think Lea Michele might have a number one single on her hands? What an amazing tribute to Cory Monteith that would be.

  • Lea Michelle Celebrates New Year After Tough 2013

For some reason, there have been a lot of celebrity bikini pics floating through cyberspace in 2014, from the likes of Demi Moore and Charlize Theron, just to name two, and now “Glee” star Lea Michelle has tweeted one of her own.

Apparently, the 27-year old is spending time in Mexico and she tweeted a pretty revealing photo that shows her grabbing a palm tree with one hand and playing in her hair with the other. But it’s not the palm tree that most people will notice, as the true star of the photo is a tiny bikini that doesn’t leave much to the imagination.

It’s been a tough 2013 for Michelle, after her boyfriend and fellow “Glee” cast member Cory Monteith passed away from a heroin and alcohol overdose. “It’s certainly been a pretty rough year,” she told Ellen DeGeneres last month. “But I’ve been surrounded by such great people, such great family.”

She also said her mother in particular has been a huge help for her. “My mom has experienced a lot of loss in her life and she told me, at one point, she said ‘There is an empowerment that comes with grief. At some point, you find it. It’s very hard, but you will find it,’ ” added Michelle.

In addition, the Bronx native said she believes Monteith would want her to live her life, and it’s possible the trip to Mexico was one of her first step towards doing that, as she tweeted the following message along with the photo: “What an amazing week in Mexico,” she wrote. “New day. New Year.”

Just last week, Michelle released her second single from her up and coming album “Louder.” The song is called “Battlefield” and its a cut about lost love and is backed by a melodic acoustic piano riff. “Louder” will be released in March of this year.

  • Cory Monteith: Lea Michele Talks Life Without Him

Cory Monteith died of a drug overdose in Vancouver back in July, and this week his girlfriend and Glee costar Lea Michele told Ellen DeGeneres what life is like without him. Losing Cory meant losing the man she loved both on TV and in real life. Michele’s role as Rachel Berry played opposite his as Finn Hudson. Now five months after Cory’s passing, Lea is trying to be strong in both her personal and professional lives.

“It’s certainly been a pretty rough year,” Michele told Ellen DeGeneres. “But I’ve been surrounded by such great people, such great family.”

Cory Monteith was just 31 years old when he died, and at just 27, Lea Michele is struggling to put the pieces back together again. Kate Hudson played an instrumental role in helping Lea heal. She allowed her to hide out at her home after Cory died, so she could have some privacy in which to grieve. The life of a Hollywood actress seems so exciting–and it probably is. But when someone faces a life-altering tragedy like this one, they need to be as far-removed from the spotlight as possible.

Just one month after Cory died, however, Lea Michele went back to work.

“[Glee co-creator] Ryan Murphy, who is so amazing, he came to Kate’s house and he said, ‘What do you want to do? Whatever you want to do, we’ll do.’ I said, ‘I have to go back to work. We have to . . . they’re my family,” Lea explained to Ellen.

That work would wind up being among her saving graces. Lea’s first solo album comes out in February, and music dedicated to Cory Monteith will appear on it.

Ellen reminded Lea of her 2012 interview with Cory–just about a year ago. He confirmed that he and Michele were a bona fide couple on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“It’s one of my favorite memories,” Michele told DeGeneres. “I remember when he came home that night, he kind of puffed out his chest and he was like, ‘I talked about you on ‘Ellen’ today.’ I was so happy. He’s such a private person, and I literally lived every day of my life feeling like the luckiest girl in the whole world. I just thought he was the greatest man and so at that moment, that memory, it means so much to me.”

What a difference a year makes. Lea Michele’s life has been immensely changed and a talented young actor and singer is gone. Perhaps one day Lea will make sense out of the tragedy that impacted her so profoundly. Maybe she will do more work in Cory’s honor to help keep his memory alive.
