  • Chrissy Teigen ‘Proud’ She Wore Undies to Oscars

Chrissy Teigen was proud of something she did in preparation for Sunday’s Oscars. The fashion model and wife of John Legend–an Oscar winner for his song “Glory” (with Common) from the film Selma–wore a stunning gown with a thigh-high slit that wowed the crowds on the red carpet. Still that’s not what Chrissy Teigen was proud of.

“I do have underwear on tonight. I’m very proud of myself,” she said on the red carpet at the 2015 Oscars.

Chrissy Teigen has been quite vocal in the past about not wearing any underwear at all.

“I just don’t like it,” she said during a prior interview.

Just because she was modest enough to wear underwear doesn’t put Chrissy Teigen in the ‘modestly dressed’ category at this year’s Oscars. Between that thigh-high slit and the plunging neckline that showed off her ample cleavage, Teigen didn’t leave a great deal to the imagination.

Fortunately for all those at home watching Teigen at the Oscars, she didn’t do her infamous ‘cry face’ that she shared with the audience and at-home viewers when John Legend won a Golden Globe for “Glory.”

She was teased mercilessly for weeks after that face went viral.

Did you catch Chrissy Teigen at the Oscars on Sunday? Did you watch closely to see if the ‘cry face’ was coming when John Legend won an Oscar?

More importantly, did you have any idea that while Chrissy Teigen doesn’t usually wear underwear, on Sunday night that she did?

  • Anna Kendrick: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star to Perform at the Oscars

Anna Kendrick: ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Star to Perform at the Oscars

Anna Kendrick is set to perform at the Oscars on February 22nd, but it’s uncertain exactly what the Pitch Perfect 2 and Into the Woods star will do. The shows producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, have merely said that Kendrick will do “something special that is sure to be an ‘Only on the Oscars’ moment.”

Kendrick sang a hit song from Pitch Perfect called ‘Cups’ that made it all the way to the number six spot on the Billboard Charts. It was featured on the Pitch Perfect soundtrack and marked the first time Anna Kendrick was considered both an actress and a pop music star. She joins a lineup of spectacular performances at the 87th Oscars that includes actor Jack Black, singer Rita Ora, and John Legend together with Common, who will perform ‘Glory’ from the movie Selma.

Anna Kendrick tweeted word of her invitation to perform at the Oscars earlier on Monday.

Scarlett Johansson, Octavia Spencer, Zoe Saldana and Josh Hutcherson were added to the roster of Oscar presenters on Monday. They will join perviously scheduled presenters including Benedict Cumberbatch, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, and Marion Cotillard.

Will you be tuning in to the Oscars to see Anna Kendrick and her “special performance” on February 22? Do you expect she might do an updated version of ‘Cups’ or perhaps even something from the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2? Or will she do something completely unexpected that will find fans even more enamored with this talented actress and singer?

  • Idina Menzel, John Legend: Super Bowl’s Patriotic Voices

Idina Menzel and John Legend will serve as the patriotic singing voices of Super Bowl XLIX at Phoenix Stadium on February 1st. Menzel, best known for her vocals behind ‘Let It Go,’ from Disney’s Frozen, will belt out the National Anthem. John Legend will rouse patriotism with his rendition of ‘America the Beautiful.’

Legend follows in the footsteps of some strong voices with his performance. ‘America the Beautiful’ has been performed at past Super Bowls by the likes of Ray Charles, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson. While those are big shoes to fill, there’s no doubt that John Legend has what it takes. Anyone who has heard his recent performance of ‘Glory,’ from the Academy Award-nominated film Selma, knows they’re in for a treat when he sings.

Idina Menzel follows in some pretty amazing footsteps as well, although her spot has occasionally served as an embarrassment for both the singer and everyone at the Super Bowl. Christina Aguilera, for example, blew it big time back in 2011, when she flubbed a few lines of the song most have been singing since childhood.

In addition to Christina, Idina Menzel succeeds a throng of music greats including Garth Brooks, Diana Ross, and Beyonce in singing ‘The Star Spangled Banner.’ Hopefully, when she is announced, the commentator doesn’t do a ‘John Travola‘ and completely slaughter her name.

While Katy Perry is the headlining half time act at the Super Bowl, she might not hold a candle to the voices of Idina Menzel and John Legend. Frozen fans–even those who aren’t football fans–will likely tune in to Super Bowl XLIX–simply to hear the voice of their beloved Elsa. Hopefully if Chrissy Teigen (John Legend’s wife) is in the stands, she’ll leave her ‘cry face‘ at home.

Fans can hear both Idina Menzel and John Legend raise their patriotic voices on Sunday, February 1st on NBC.

  • Chrissy Teigen and Husband John Legend Hire Food Trucks for NYC Protesters

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend may not have participated in New York City demonstrations against a grand jury decision not to indict the police officer who caused the death of Eric Garner, but they were there in spirit by offering protesters free food.

The model and food-blogger and the Grammy Award-winning singer sent a number of food trucks Sunday to offer food to hungry protestors in New York’s Lincoln Square.

Although the couple were not present, Legend’s rep confirmed that the food donation did in fact come from the couple, and Teigen tweeted out information about the food trucks Sunday.

It was the fifth consecutive day of protests throughout New York City, and in many other cities across the country, since a grand jury declined to indict police officers involved in the death of Eric Garner, who died after being allegedly placed in a choke hold.

On Monday, Teigen again sent out a message on Twitter announcing that the food trucks gave unused food from Sunday’s gift to the homeless.

Legend recently received a Grammy nomination for best pop solo performance for All of Me and has been promoting the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. biopic Selma, which includes a song he wrote with rapper Common on the soundtrack.

  • Ariana Grande Pays Tribute to Late ‘Gramps’ at ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ Telethon

Ariana Grande paid tribute to her late grandfather Friday at this year’s Stand Up to Cancer telethon.

The 21-year-old songstress gave a moving performance of her song, My Everything, for her beloved grandfather, who died in July following a lengthy battle with cancer.

“Supporting a cause that is near & dear to my heart. tonight I’m singing for grandps! i miss u,” Grande tweeted before taking the stage Friday at the Los Angeles event.

The telethon, which was broadcast to dozens of broadcast and cable networks, also featured performances by The Dave Matthews Band, The Who, Jennifer Hudson, Lupe Fiasco, and Common.

It was obviously a difficult performance to get through for the worldwide singing sensation.

This was the fourth Stand Up to Cancer telethon, which raises money to support research for new cancer treatments. Gwyneth Paltrow and Joel Gallen returned to produce this year’s telethon for a second time.

Others on hand for the telethon included Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jane Lynch, Jesse Tyler, and many more.

The spokesman for Protect your bubble added: “The amazing ways people manage to be separated from their iPhone goes to show that you never know what’s around the corner – and it pays to get your iPhone insured.’’
