  • Allison Williams Talks Sex Scenes, Likes Causing Discomfort

Allison Williams flew past fans on their TV screens during the Christmas season as the star of Peter Pan, and now she’s back–and talking about sex scenes. How might that make her dad, NBC News anchor Brian Williams feel? Clearly it doesn’t bother his daughter, as she admits to loving the sex scenes–even the awkward ones she plays on the hit TV series Girls.

“I take great pride in playing those moments,” she said during a recent interview with ET. “It’s become my little pet favorite project. Because I just like pushing the envelope.”

Allison Williams was in New York on Monday, celebrating the premiere of the fourth season of Girls. She plays the role of Marnie, who frequently finds herself in awkward sexual situations. She claims said awkwardness allows her to really have fun playing her role.

“I love making people uncomfortable,” Williams said. “And when people say, ‘I cringed watching [that] scene,’ that’s the biggest compliment you can give me.”

Something that isn’t making Allison Williams uncomfortable at all is talk of motherhood. The actress is engaged to College Humor co-founder Ricky Van Veen, and plans for their wedding are underway. Lately Allison has hounded every actress she knows who is either pregnant or has kids, and asked how she balances motherhood with her career.

“I have a lot of questions: How do I get to a place in my career where I can go be a mom for a little while, and then come back and be a mom and an actress at the same time?” she asks in the February issue of Glamour. She graces the magazine’s February cover, too.

“Every time I find a woman in film, an actress who has kids, I, like a sociopath, corner her and ask, ‘How did it work?’ Everyone says, ‘Don’t think so much.’ [Jemima Kirke], from Girls, is always saying, ‘Just get pregnant! Just have a baby.’ And I’m like, ‘You are so much cooler than I am.’ I love what I do, but I have no doubt that when I start my family, that’s life. This is my job, but that’s life,” Williams, who clearly isn’t a sociopath, but perhaps just a bit of a perfectionist, added.

The fourth season of the hit HBO series premieres this coming Sunday, January 11th, at 9:00 PM.

Do you expect by season five Allison Williams might be expecting? Will Brian Williams one day in the near future announce during the NBC Nightly News that he is soon to be a grandfather?

This Is How Dumb We Must Sound To Google

College Humor has put out a pretty humorous video pointing out how stupid search queries would sound if you spoke them aloud to a person. In this case, Google is a person, played by Brian Huskey (NSFW language).

Remember this next time you’re talking to Google Now.

  • If You Posted That Stupid Facebook Copyright Status, You Deserve This Sarcastic Remonstration

By now, you’re probably aware that you can’t copyright your content with a Facebook status and you probably think that everyone who thinks so is the dumbest person you’ve ever known. But if you happen to have a friend who refuses to believe that magic isn’t real, you can show them this incredibly sarcastic breakdown of why their hollow legal mumbo-jumbo means nothing, to anyone.

  • College Humor’s “Stoner Countdown” Honors 4/20

While the Twitter trends have moved onto other 4/20 anniversaries like Hitler’s birthday and the Columbine tragedy, the celebration surrounding today’s date, and the plant the celebration focuses on has not been pushed aside. There’s still weed-related content hitting the tubes, like the latest music video from CollegeHumor.com.

Never one to overlook a particular date’s significance, College Humor has once again brought us the power of parody via music video. This time, it’s Beyonce’s “Countdown” that’s getting the treatment, and the parody hits all the notes at almost a pitch-perfect rate. Come for the Reddit reference, stay for cuties enjoying the Devil’s weed in many smokeable forms:

    Now for Beyonce’s version:

After all that smoking, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if those in the video could finish off one of those thousand-plus-pieces-of-bacon burgers that blew up earlier this week.

As for the Twitter chatter, apparently, some of the happy 4/20-ers don’t like people criticizing their recreational choices:

Why are people so mad about #420?! Wtf? Who gave yall permission to judge. when did someone else’s lifestyle become your problem? Wow. Sad.(image) 4 minutes ago via Plume for Android ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

And then there’s this sobering reality check:

Well, it looks like drug prohibition got rid of marijuana for good. Bet no one is smoking today. #420(image) 12 minutes ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

  • Doctor Who RPG Recounts the 11th Doctor’s Adventures

College Humor has released a parody video of what a Doctor Who RPG would look like, and I love it. It’s done in the style of Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs) as they appeared on the Super Nintendo. The clip recounts the adventures of actor Matt Smith’s 11th Doctor, from the 10th Doctor’s regeneration all the way to…well, spoliers.

These style of games were some of my favorite as a kid, and a major part of my argument when I get into Sega Genesis vs. Super Nintendo debates. Final Fantasy III (VI in Japan) is still one of the best Final Fantasy titles in the series, and I can’t count the number of times I’ve played through Chrono Trigger. Though I’ve moved on to more modern, action-oriented RPGs, these menu-based interactive stories will always hold a place in my heart.

Some of the highlights from the Doctor Who RPG include:

    • In Pokemon parlance, “A wild AMELIA POND appears!” and “DOCTOR used FISH FINGERS and CUSTARD!”
    • While fighting a Weeping Angel, a soldier in the party choses BLINK instead of DON’T BLINK. Bollocks!
    • “RORY left the party…also, existence.”
    • The explanation for the huge reveals in the episode “A Good Man Goes to War” is “WIBBLEY WOBBLEY TIMEY WIMEY STUFF.”

As you can see, the maker of the video has a pretty good handle on the in-jokes Doctor Who fans share and love about the geeky series. Now all we need is a petition for Square Enix and The BBC to team up and make this a reality. Leave your opinions of the video below in the comments, but please note that I did not title the video, and so I cannot be held responsible for the abbreviation. Also, the video contains numerous spoilers from seasons 5 and 6 of the show.

  • Skyrim Hoarders: You’re Not Going To Enchant That Necklace And You Might Have A Problem

Skyrim Hoarders: You’re Not Going To Enchant That Necklace And You Might Have A Problem

I have a friend. Yeah let’s go with that, a friend, who can’t leave a single weapon, shield, book, potion, or article of clothing in a chest or on a table. If he sees it, it’s going in his inventory. Now, his character didn’t put a lot into his stamina trait and he doesn’t wear any boots or armor that allows for increased carrying space. This, of course, means that he has to make frequent trips back to his house in Whiterun.

I would call my friend a hoarder. A Skyrim hoarder. But he’s a neat Skyrim hoarder, so meticulous that it borders on some sort of OCD that I’ve never experienced in my life. Where a normal person would just dump every item on the floor or store everything in a chest, my friend likes put every item that he finds out in the world in a particular location – everything in its right place if you will. Weapons and armor go in his chest, books in his bookshelf, jewelry in his nightstand, and food in his cupboards. You get the picture.

My friend might have a problem. This guy you’re about to see? He definitely has a problem. This College Humor original brilliantly brings the world of Skyrim hoarding to the even more messed-up world of real life hoarders from the A&E show.

    Check it out:

This problem is real, and it affects us all. To all the Skyrim hoarders out there (and there are plenty): just leave the book behind. You’e never going to read it. You should probably find a better hobby, like murdering many of the women in the game and displaying their heads on a trophy rack like the Skyrim serial killer.

  • Facebook Gets Roasted

Ah, the art of a good roast. There’s nothing like saying things to your friends that would otherwise ruin said friendship, if not protected by the confines of “good fun.” Unfortunately, the only real exposure we have to roasts are the Comedy Central roasts we get every few months. Don’t get me wrong, they are sometimes enjoyable; but who really thinks Flavor Flav or Larry the Cable Guy deserves their own roast?

Well, CollegeHumor has roasted a real heavyweight of the industry. The perfect candidate for a roastee – famous, powerful, envied. That’s right, CollegeHumor gives us the roast of Facebook.

Although it’s poor MySpace who takes the real beating.

The roast features the vocal talents of Penn Jillette as Google, Gilbert Gottfried as Twitter and “The Queen of Mean” Lisa Lampanelli as Foursquare. They hit Facebook on issues on privacy, the “like button” and Mark Zuckerberg’s questionable charisma. Interestingly enough, it’s Google (Penn Jillette beard and all) that rips Facebook for privacy issues. Just the opposite was happening in Facebook’s recently unearthed smear campaign against the search giant.

I personally find Twitter’s rail against MySpace to be the best of a pretty funny video, with its joke about a particular “space” between two body parts.

I’d say more, but it’s best to just let you watch the thing. Be on the lookout for appearances by some less popular social networks in supporting roles.
