  • Paul Walker: Legacy Kept Intact By Brother Cody A Year After His Death

It’s been almost a year since actor Paul Walker died in a car accident, but his brother Cody is determined to keep the actor’s legacy intact. Cody has taken Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) under his wing, pretty much taking over to keep it active. ROWW is a charity that Paul held dear until the time of the fatal crash, which happened near a ROWW event that Paul was participating in.

In an interview with E! News, Cody says, “ROWW continues to be, to function, to help others even after our primary contributor, my brother, Paul Walker has passed. I know he would be so stoked to know that. ROWW changed his life, and he was so proud of it.” Even after Paul’s death, Cody and ROWW have never stopped helping people. They have organized toy drives for the holidays and stuffed backpacks for less fortunate students. The ROWW also helped Mayflower, Arkansas after a tornado, and they even flew to the Philippines to offer aid after the destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan.

“These missions are truly life changing for all involved,” Cody told E! News “I’m so proud to be a part of this.” Cody also reflected on the life lessons he learned from Paul throughout his life. “Just live your life to the fullest. Laugh a lot, love and find your true happiness,” he began. “Remember that no matter how cool you think you may be, you’re not cool enough to look down on anyone…ever.” Cody also said about Paul, “I am so lucky to have had him as a big brother.”

Paul Walker passed away while he was in the midst of shooting the seventh film in the Fast and The Furious franchise. After his death, his brothers Cody and Caleb stepped in to fill in for their brother for some scenes that were needed to finish the film.

  • Paul Walker’s Death Still Difficult For Vin Diesel; Fast & Furious 7 Wraps Filming

Vin Diesel revealed that Fast & Furious 7 became the most challenging movie he has made throughout his career.

Diesel sat down with Terri Seymour from Extra and he talked about finishing the film with Walker’s brothers Cory and Caleb.

“On some levels it was very cool to know his brothers were supporting this and wanting to help. On another level, they triggered memories, unintentionally at times. There’s no one like Paul Walker and there was only one Paul Walker,” Diesel said. He also revealed that it was difficult to be in mourning while having to pretend that Walker is still alive for the movie’s sake.

Vin Diesel talks about finishing Fast & Furious 7 without Paul Walker

When Walker died in November, filming of Fast & Furious 7 had to be stopped. It even came to a point where the producers contemplated whether to finish the movie. However, they decided to finish what they started, as Walker would have wanted it to be finished.

The first time Diesel got back on set after Walker’s death, he revealed that he went through three boxes of tissues while filming a scene. “I am supposed to be in killer mode, but just being in the vehicle that was synonymous with Paul and myself, it was so hard to get through,” he said.

Diesel said that finishing the film with Walker’s brothers was a bit strange. “It’s very, very weird. The good thing is, because we took all the time, the movie is a true testament to everyone coming together and wanting to honor both the saga and our brother, and there’s something very beautiful about that,” Diesel said.

Aside from Fast & Furious 7, Diesel also talked about his upcoming movie Guardians of the Galaxy where he plays Groot, a tree-like creature and superhero in the Marvel Universe. “I am really fortunate that I have both of these movies and there’s something very, very healing about playing a character like Groot that celebrates life after a tragedy like the one that happened,” he said.

  • Paul Walker Receives Kind Words From Co-Star

Paul Walker left behind a multitude of fans when he died over Thanksgiving weekend last year, and with production resuming on “Fast and Furious 7”, the star is on the minds of many this week. One of those whose life was touched by working with Walker is David Belle, who stars in the upcoming film “Brick Mansions”.

“It was a pleasure to work with Paul. He was an amazing man, a great actor and a good confidant,” he said.

Walker, who died in a fiery car crash with a friend, was heavily involved with his charity Reach Out Worldwide–which provides aid and relief to those affected by natural disasters–and left the organization’s branding to his brother, Cody.

“My family and I truly appreciate the support we have received during this difficult time,” Cody wrote on Instagram soon after Walker’s death. “One of the many things I admired about my brother was his genuine desire to help others in need. As many of you know, in 2010 @paulwalker founded @reachoutww, a disaster relief organization. It is with great honor that I have decided to join the ROWW team as Brand Manager. I look forward to working with like-minded individuals and partners to ensure ROWW continues to aid those in need in the years to come. As Paul would say, ‘When you put good will out there, it’s amazing what can be accomplished.’ We can all make a difference in this world and I am honored to join the ROWW team in fulfilling my brother’s legacy and ensure that the good my brother did lives on.”

Cody Walker has been in the headlines this week after rumors began to float around the web that he may show up in “Fast and Furious 7” in his brother’s spot, with the help of CGI. Nothing has been confirmed however, and it’s not clear how exactly the film will deal with the loss of Walker.

“Brick Mansions” was completed before Walker’s death and will be released in May. The actor played an undercover police officer tasked with taking down a crime boss.

  • Cody Walker May Finish Movie In Place of Late Brother, Paul Walker

The kid brother to the “Fast & Furious 7” star Paul Walker has been asked to step in for his late brother in the final stages of the movie, according to rumors.  The 25-year-old Cody Walker, bares a close resemblance to his brother Paul (the reason why he was given the offer) but is yet to make his decision whether to accept the offer or not. Various media outlets are reporting that Cody has already agreed to the role.

Paul Walker died two weeks ago in a car crash while shooting of the movie “Fast & Furious 7” took a break. He was 40-years-old when he died.  This prompted Universal Pictures to stop production of the movie indefinitely. If Cody Walker accepts the supposed offer, it means that the film will eventually be completed. However, it is not known whether the producers are still targeting July 11, 2014 as the release date.

A source close to the production team said Cody looks like a younger version of his deceased brother. The two have similar hair color and facial characteristics. If Cody agrees, it would help them finish the movie despite Paul’s death. It would also make for a good tribute to the deceased actor.

Cody, who lives in Oregon, has previously worked in the motion picture industry as a stuntman. Universal Pictures has not made any specific comments about Paul Walker’s possible replacement but say that they are committed to providing support to Walker’s family and the “Fast & Furious” cast.
