  • Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam Expecting Their Second Child Together

Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam are expecting their second child together.

A rep for The Avengers: Age of Ultron star confirmed to the Los Angeles Times Tuesday that Smulders is pregnant, but declined to share when the baby is due.

The Captain America: The Winter Soldier actress starred as Ted Mosby’s longtime love interest, Robin Scherbatsky, in How I Met Your Mother.

Killam, of Saturday Night Live, had a recurring role on How I Met Your Mother as Gary Blauman. The popular show ended its ninth and final season with a controversial ending in March.

The couple were married in 2012 in a star-studded wedding celebration and celebrated their second anniversary in September.

While she was pregnant with daughter Shaelyn in 2009, producers had their work cut out for them during the show’s fourth season trying to hide her growing belly, as well as that of pregnant costar Alyson Hannigan, from the cameras.

Smulders will be back in theaters in May reprising her role as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. She recently appeared on television’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ABC’s spin-off series based on the blockbuster movie franchise.

She’s also slated to costar in Andrew Bujalski’s Results with Guy Pearce next year.

  • ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Enlists Two Major Marvel Guest Stars for Final Episodes (Contains Spoilers)

This report contains major spoilers from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Read with caution.

Last night’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D correlated with the outcome of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. At the end of The Winter Soldier, S.H.I.E.L.D was completely destroyed by the reveal that the company had been infiltrated by a group named Hydra. This meant even some of the most trusted agents could be compromised.

The S.H.I.E.L.D episode managed to tie together the events of Captain America and the series, while keeping one of the movie’s major twists a secret; this twist involved Nick Fury’s (played by Samuel L. Jackson) resurrection. On the show, most of the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D believe Fury is dead, but those who only watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and have not seen Captain America 2, will also be in on the secret soon.

Jackson told New York Magazine’s Vulture column that he just filmed scenes for the season finale. “I just shot the end-of-the-season show.” However, he remained quiet on any details about his upcoming guest appearance. He even joked that giving away more details could result in his firing. “You’re trying to get me fired and killed! I don’t talk about Marvel’s business. None of us do,” he told the Vulture reporter.

Nick Fury isn’t the only character from the Marvel movie universe to make a guest appearance on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Jaimie Alexander reprised her role as Sif from Thor and Thor: The Dark World. Cobie Smulders, who played Maria Hill in The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, appeared in the pilot episode of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Smulders will also appear on an upcoming episode of S.H.I.E.L.D, just in time for May sweeps. Fury and Hill both helped take down S.H.I.E.L.D in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, so they may take on a similar role in the series.

Jackson appears on S.H.I.E.L.D’s May 13 season finale, and Smulders appears on the April 29 episode.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D airs Tuesday nights on ABC at 8:00 pm EST.

  • “How I Met Your Mother” Comes To A Close, Fans Have Mixed Reactions

“How I Met Your Mother” Comes To A Close, Fans Have Mixed Reactions

After a nine-season run on CBS, How I Met Your Mother has come to a close. The finale was an emotion-filled ride for some, while others became outraged with the way things ended up.

The end did not go the way that some people wanted, and as a result, people were disappointed, and reacted strongly about it. The title of the final episode was “Last Forever,” and continued to jump around in time, and eventually showed Ted finally getting to the end of his story that he has been telling to his two kids.

The entire ninth season had also been building up to the wedding between Barney and Robin, and while fans saw the pair get married last week, the finale showed their divorce. It was simply too much tragedy in the finale of a comedy for some people, but How I Met Your Mother has always been known for its dramatic moments in addition to its comedic gags.

The popular sitcom starring Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders, and Neil Patrick Harris has finally come to a close. Are fans sad to see it go? If so, the series has also spawned a spin-off called How I Met Your Dad.

With the title of the show being How I Met Your Mother, people are under the impression that the whole thing is relating to how he met her, and a story about their relationship, but in the end, that did not turn out to be the case.

Whether or not the viewers were pleased with the outcome of the finale or not, How I Met Your Mother‘s final episode was able to bring in the viewers. The show earned 6.3 percent of the 25-54 year-old demographic, and reached an estimated 4.7 million viewers, as everyone wanted to find out what would happen when it came to an end.

It was rumored that “The Mother,” who was finally revealed near the end of the finale to have the name of Tracy McConnell, would be dead heading into the finale. While the actress who plays her, Cristin Milioti, attempted to debunk the theory by calling it insane, it turns out that she had been dead for the past nine seasons after all.

In some ways, having Milioti’s character die at the end of How I Met Your Mother may prove that perhaps they were never meant to be together after all. On the other hand, in the closing moments, Ted goes over to Robin’s, and after nine seasons, they finally get to be together, despite everything that they have been through.

Some people were outraged by the fact that they all waited nine seasons to see Ted meet his wife, only to have her die, and later end up with Robin. However, some people also were glad to see them end up together in the end, and understand that it was what was meant to happen all along.

Despite the fact that some of How I Met Your Mother‘s fans may not have gotten everything that they wanted, Ted Mosby certainly did. He had always wanted a marriage and kids, but still wanted a relationship with Robin, and in the end, that was what he got.

It has been an emotional end for each of the cast members including Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan, who played Robin and Lily. They have both spoken out about the end, and will be hard for the cast, and the fans, to say goodbye to the show after a nine-season run on CBS.

Whether or not the How I Met Your Mother finale was emotional or upsetting for viewers, it will likely be sad to say goodbye to the beloved characters of Ted, Robin, Lily, Marshall and Barney after nine seasons.

  • Neil Patrick Harris Sings “Les Miserables” Duet With Jason Segel [Video]

Fans of Les Miserables and How I Met Your Mother should love what happened on the most recent episode of Inside The Actors Studio. Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segel broke out spontaneously with a duet of “Confrontation,” a duet from the hit musical Les Miserables.

Any true fans of Neil Patrick Harris already know that he can sing through his time on Broadway, and his musical numbers as host of the Emmy Awards, but how many people knew that Jason Segel could sing too?

The two actors appeared on the Bravo series Inside The Actors Studio along with Cobie Smulders, Josh Radnor, and Alyson Hannigan in order to talk about the end of their hit comedy How I Met Your Mother. The series has been on for the past nine seasons, and will be coming to a close on Monday, March 31.

Neil Patrick Harris played the part of Javert, and Jason Segel portrayed Jean Valjean during the clip. The two of them had performed the song once already during an appearance on The Megan Mullaly Show back in 2006.

Upon a request from one of the students in the audience, they quickly tried to figure out who played which character the first time around, and Alyson Hannigan pointed out that it had been a long time since they sang that one.

On the recent episode of Inside The Actors Studio, a variety of things are discussed such as the actors’ favorite scenes, and what it was like to work on the show together for such a long time. Any big fans of the show will likely want to check out the full episode here.

The cast and creators have both been talking about how emotional the finale is going to be, and how sad it will be to say goodbye to everyone. A theory that “The Mother” has been dead all along was also developed by fans recently, but Cristin Milioti, who plays the part of “The Mother,” attempted to debunk that theory during a recent interview.

The series finale of How I Met Your Mother airs this Monday at 8 p.m. on CBS. Fans should finally able to find out how Ted meets “The Mother,” and viewers will be treated to a one-hour episode for the finale.

  • Cobie Smulders Talks About Her Beloved Series Ending

Currently at age 31, Cobie Smulders started working on the long running CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother when she was just 22 years old, and with the series ending on Monday, she’s trying to keep a stiff upper lip, she says, and appreciate how long the show has been on.

“No, it’s still airing,” replied Smulders when she was asked if she was sad about the series ending.

“And I wonder if when it’s stopped airing, I will feel like it’s over….I’ve landed in this place of just sublime gratitude, truly, because any time I start to get sad about our show, I think about just how long we have been on the air.”

Playing the character of Robin Scherbatsky has been a blast, said the Vancouver native, but she’s a little scared of what the future holds, because although she’ll be busy with the Captain America and Avengers franchises, she’s not sure where work will come after that, which is a new experience for her.

“And now I’m just walking out there into the unknown, and I just start weeping,” she said. “I don’t know when I’m going to work next.”

Before she starting rehearsing lines and going on auditions, Smulders was a pretty successful model, but she eventually gave it up because she didn’t really like it.

Plus, posing for the camera isn’t really her thing, she says, and despite her gorgeous looks, Smulders admits that she’s not the most confident person.

“I don’t find myself a very confident person, about my looks or my body,” she said. “But it did allow me to, you know, walk into a room and just start talking to people, because so much of that time I was alone. I was alone in another country where I didn’t speak the language.”

But here’s where the irony lies: Smulders is posing for the camera again as a famous actress, especially now since How I Met Your Mother is in its final days. However, she puts up with it, she says, and hopes that being on magazine covers will eventually lead to more work.

“I still don’t really enjoy having my picture taken,” she stated. “But I do it because I know that through that maybe I’ll get that little indie film, and I’ll be a big enough name that they’ll take a chance on me and I’ll be able to play that role that I’ve always wanted to play.”
