  • Conan O’Brien Becomes A Wrestler In WWE 2K14

Most of us aren’t cut out to be wrestlers. We don’t have the bulging biceps or the theatrics to pull it off. That’s why the games are so appealing – we can become the wrestler we always wanted to be.

Conan O’Brien discovers this truth in the return of Clueless Gamer as he reviews WWE 2K14. This is the first game in the franchise to not be made by THQ since the publisher went under in early 2013. Unlike some other Clueless Gamer reviews, WWE 2K14 is not a new game. This review was seemingly made just for laughs as Conan encounters his in-game wrestling persona.

Perhaps the best part of this particular bit is that Conan’s show can’t pay for any of the licensed music in the game so they have the national anthem on loop while playing. There’s nothing more American then dropkicking a guy in the face while the national anthem plays in the background.

If wrestling games are a little too new school for you, you should check out Conan’s playthrough of some classic Atrari 2600 games, including E.T.

Conan O’Brien Tackles The Atari 2600

My generation’s first exposure to gaming was most likely through the Nintendo Entertain System. Before us, however, were the proud few who got their start on the Atari 2600. Unfortunately, games for the Atari 2600 have not aged well at all, and even clueless gamers like Conan O’Brien can see that.

In his latest entry to the Clueless Gamer series, O’Brien tackles some classics from the Atari 2600. These games are largely terrible, but that just only adds to the fun of watching O’Brien stumble his way through an era where game design was largely non-existent and games were made in a matter of months.

As expected, he hates pretty much everything, but there’s one bright spot. Space Invaders on the Atari 2600 still holds up pretty well. It may look inferior to its arcade counterpart, but it’s pretty hard to mess up the timeless gameplay of Space Invaders. Unfortunately, another alien game soured him on the Atari 2600 experience.

It wouldn’t be an Atari 2600 retrospective without a playthrough of E.T. Through his strange rating system where Flock of Seagulls is good and Duran Duran is bad, he gives E.T. a rating of Men at Work.
