  • Jana Duggar: Is the ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star Afraid to Marry Because of Josh Duggar Molestation?

Jana Duggar may have long felt the repercussions of Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation–at least according to one source.

Long referred to as ‘Cinderella Duggar’ by her fans because of the responsibility she assumes for her younger siblings, the 19 Kids and Counting star is 25 and unmarried. She lives at home with parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, because they have raised their children to believe that’s where they belong until they marry.

Now that word has hit the media of Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation scandal, some of those same fans fear Jana Duggar may have been one of Josh’s victims, and if that’s the case it might explain why she hasn’t courted (children in the Duggar family don’t date per Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar–they court) or even considered getting married.

Many of those fans took to Twitter to express their concern for Jana Duggar.

While some of these fans have different ideas about the impact Josh Duggar’s actions may have had on Jana Duggar, they all believe she has paid the price in one way or another.

Do you think Josh Duggar is responsible for Jana Duggar never courting or considering marriage? Do you think she has stayed at home to protect her younger sisters from their brother?

  • Jana Duggar: Leaving ’19 Kids and Counting’ and Headed to College?

Jana Duggar is reportedly tired of caring for all of her younger siblings. The 19 Kids and Counting star is the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and has recently watched two of her sisters marry and leave the nest. Jana is no doubt feeling left behind.

Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard back in June and is expecting her first baby within weeks. Jessa Duggar married Ben Seewald in November. Now, it seems, much of the child-rearing and housekeeping duties are falling on Jana Duggar, and she’s decided she wants something more than this Cinderella life.

At 25, Jana has decided that she wants to go to college, and do something more with her life than care for her siblings.

“She told her parents that she was looking at Christian colleges and would be applying soon,” a source tells OK! magazine.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar aren’t particularly pleased with this idea. In the 19 Kids and Counting household the young women are expected to live at home until they’ve found a man suitable for marriage. While they certainly can pursue an education, they live at home while doing so.

Do you suppose Jana Duggar will really leave the nest–the only one she’s known for 25 years? And if she goes to college, what do you think she’ll study?

The world is at Jana Duggar’s fingertips and is definitely hers for the taking. She needs only to decide what path she wants to follow, and then hope her parents don’t throw a wrench called guilt at her plans.

  • Jana Duggar: Is She Leaving ’19 Kids and Counting?’

Jana Duggar is reportedly taking the steps necessary to leave her family’s TLC reality show, 19 Kids and Counting. Often referred to as Cinderella Duggar, Jana Duggar is 25, and knows if she doesn’t leave soon, she’ll be stuck there helping care for her siblings for years to come.

It seems the eldest of the Duggar daughters wants to go to college, and has been checking into Christian colleges to which she might want to apply.

“Jana just turned 25, so she knows she needs to get on with her education if she doesn’t want to be stuck at her mom and dad’s house in Arkansas forever,” a source tells OK! magazine. “She told her parents that she was looking at Christian colleges and would be applying soon.”

Jana Duggar doesn’t want to get stuck being the Duggar nanny for her siblings either. Sister Jill Duggar Dillard is due to give birth in less than two months, and sister-in-law Anna Duggar is expecting again. Jana reportedly fears if she doesn’t make her move soon, she’ll be kept busy with all the family’s little ones–newborn babies included.

It seems parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar aren’t happy with the plans Jana Duggar is making. They’d prefer she stayed at home with them until she met a man suitable for courtship and then got married.

Can you really blame Jana Duggar for wanting to leave the 19 Kids and Counting nest? How will she ever meet a man–even a good Christian man–if she doesn’t get out of the house and try something new?
