  • Christie Brinkley To Launch Vegan Skin Care Line

Christie Brinkley is set to launch a new skin care line.

The new line, Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare, will be completely vegan, as Christie is herself, and will include anti-aging creams, an exfoliating polish, a primer serum, a face wash and eye, neck and wrinkle treatments. The prices will be affordable and will range from $22.95 to $69.95.

The products were created with the help of dermatologist Doris Day and focus mainly on sun protection and exfoliation.

“It was very important to me that we formulated something that, as much as is possible, protected against future sun damage,” the 60-year-old actress/supermodel explained to Women’s Wear Daily. “Men shave daily and get that exfoliation naturally. Women need to add that extra step.”

“As Kohl’s continues to establish itself as a beauty destination, Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare offers customers the combination of a recognizable and trusted personality with results-oriented products,” Kohl’s vice president and divisional merchandise manager of beauty for Kohl’s Jeff Askenas said.

“Christie’s many roles of being a mother, entrepreneur, model and actress provides a strong foundation for equipping customers with her skincare secrets through this collection,” Askenas added.

This isn’t the first time that Brinkley has developed a beauty line. In 2011, the former face of Cover Girl launched the DNA Renewal System. She also has a costume jewelry line and a wig collection for Hair2Wear.

Brinkley’s line will be going on sale at HSN in March 2015 and Kohl’s in April 2015.

  • Christie Brinkley Launches Skincare Product Line

Christie Brinkley is launching a new line of anti-aging skincare products that will go on sale in March on HSN and at Kohl’s. The Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare is a line of eight products designed to promote more youthful skin.

Brinkley said in a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily that she considers herself quite fortunate to have such good skin at the age of 60. When she first debuted on the modeling scene she was actually encouraged to tan. She even encouraged it in her own book back in 1983.

“I was actually telling people how droplets of water would make them tan faster,” she admits today.

She always protected her face, however, and it’s clear by looking at her that the protection paid off. Her new products feature broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection as well as Bio-Copper Complex, which is a ‘proprietary ingredient that the pair claim will revitalize skin and offer protection from infrared solar rays.’

‘It was very important to me that we formulated something that, as much as is possible, protected against future sun damage,’ Ms Brinkley said.

Christie Brinkley is a vegan, and she insisted that the skincare collection be both vegan and sensitive to the environment. The glass packaging of the product line is beautiful in turquoise and amber. Her collection includes Recapture Day + IR Defense Anti-Aging Day Cream, which costs $69.95. Her Recapture 360 Night Anti-Aging Night Treatment costs the same. Complete Clarity Daily Facial Exfoliating Polish is $22.95, and along with the Complete Clarity Facial Cleansing Wash make up the least expensive products in the line. Yes, they’re more expensive than drug store skincare products, but they’re still not as costly as a line like Lancome.

Will you be checking out Christie Brinkley’s new skincare product line when it goes on sale at both HSN and Kohl’s this coming March? Her youthful, fresh face at the age of 60 is enough for many women to want to give these products a try.
