  • Anastasia Steele: Christian Grey Buys Rope in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Teaser

Anastasia Steele is the character played by Dakota Johnson–the one everyone is wondering about and talking about prior to the release of Fifty Shades of Grey. A new teaser clip features Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan) buying rope, and other bondage supplies, for use in his Red Room–his S&M chamber. Of course Steele–who works at the hardware store where Christian Grey procures his supplies–doesn’t know what he’s buying his supplies for at this point in the film.

“Rope, tape, cable ties, you’re the complete serial killer,” Anastasia Steele jokes with Christian Grey in the sneak peek.

“Not today,” Mr Grey smirks, no doubt anticipating what’s in store.

The teaser clip is a prelude to several tense encounters between the two, before Anastasia Steele is introduced to what is considered by many to be sexually deviant behavior.

“Are you redecorating?” she asks innocently.

Fifty Shades of Grey was recently given an ’18 & Over’ rating in the UK, meaning that many teens, who likely hoped they could see the film, won’t be able to do so. The film is rated ‘R’ in the U.S., meaning that anyone 17 and over can view the film unaccompanied. Those under 17 are required to be accompanied by an adult.

Another new clip features both Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey as things are heating up. It also affords viewers a slower, even sexier version of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love.’

Will you be checking out Anastasia Steele as Christian Grey familiarizes her with the world of sexual exploration that takes place inside his Red Room? Fifty Shades of Grey is set to premiere in U.S. theaters on February 13th.

  • Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson Talk ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Red Room

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson–stars of the upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey–spoke during a recent interview about the filming scenes involving the Red Room. As anyone who read Fifty Shades of Grey knows, the Red Room is where sexual acts involving both bondage and submission took place.

The actors, who play the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively, appear on the cover of the March issue of Glamour magazine, and within its pages they share details about the film that will make some blush without ever stepping inside a theater.

Prior to divulging too many details, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson talked about getting ready–and in shape–for the film.

“It wasn’t six hours a day. You don’t want to turn to your heavily pregnant wife and say, ‘I’m going to the gym for six hours. Text me if you go into labor,’”Dornan joked about his wife Amelia Warner, who gave birth back in November.

“Jamie and I actually shared a trainer. It was important to me that Ana’s body look like that of an active college student. And I was going be naked, so I wanted to look good. I did a lot of working out and had more waxing than any woman should have!” Dakota Johnson shared.

Johnson was the first to spill about the Red Room.

“The scenes in that room were definitely the most vulnerable scenes in the movie. But it was a very closed set. My mom [Melanie Griffith] told me that it’s my right to ask for that during intimate scenes, so it seemed like [Dornan and Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director, and I] were in this little world together,” she said.

Jamie Dornan had no problem admitting that shooting the Red Room scenes made him uncomfortable.

“There were times when Dakota was not wearing much, and I had to do stuff to her that I’d never choose to do to a woman,” he said.

Johnson was quick to say that Jamie Dornan was a perfect gentleman, however.

“I felt very protective and aware that it probably wasn’t easy for her to be put in those situations, and exposed,” she said.

Do these comments from Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson about filming scenes in the Red Room make it more or less likely that you’ll see Fifty Shades of Grey? The film is set to hit theaters on February 13th.

  • Jamie Dornan on ‘Fifty Shades’ BDSM Scenes, Says Men More Submissive

Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan dished recently with Elle UK about his role as Christian Grey, and explained what he’s learned about BDSM (which according to Urban Dictionary is an overlapping abbreviation of Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, as well as Sadism and Masochism), and his firm belief that men are far more submissive than women.

Dornan insists, however, that the upcoming film is more than just a plethora of kinky sex scenes.

“The love story is more important than the BDSM aspect,” he says. “I mean, we are going to tell a love story, you know? It can’t just be what happens in the red room. That’s not a film.”

Critics have labeled Fifty Shades of Grey as anti-feminist, but Dornan says that simply isn’t true.

“I can understand why people say tying a woman up and spanking her is misogynistic,” says Dornan, who visited a sex dungeon to prepare for his role. “But actually, more men are submissive than women. Very powerful men. It’s a far bigger scene than I imagined: in pretty much any city in the world that you could name, people want to get spanked with a paddle with studs on it.”

Jamie Dornan explained how he prepared for his role.

“I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did…whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives. I was like, ‘Come on guys, I know I’m not paying for this, but I am expecting a show,” he said. “It was an interesting evening.”

Dornan kept his sex dungeon visit under wraps, until now.

“You don’t do it to have some guy sitting in a f–king bush outside your house with a camera. That’s not why you do it,” he says of playing a role like Christian Grey and of his life as an actor. “I just couldn’t do an office job; I don’t have that temperament. But yeah, I don’t know how you can prepare for it. You can’t get in sandbags. Buy loads of hoodies and caps? I’ll deal with it when it comes. I feel pretty secure about who I am. It’s not my first time at the rodeo.”

How will fans react to these upcoming scenes in which Jamie Dornan stars? Might he forever be typecast once he stars on the big screen as Christian Grey?

Has he uncovered some truly uncomfortable information about the secret lives many seemingly ‘normal’ men undoubtedly live?

  • Fifty Shades Of Grey: “Most Amazing Shock Ever”, Says Rita Ora

Fifty Shades of Grey” fans may still have to wait a bit with bated breath before their favorite piece of lusty literature finally hits the silver screen; but musical artist and actress Rita Ora certainly is tantalizing fans with her take on it already.

“It’s gonna be the biggest and most amazing shock ever,” she shared with reporters on Saturday at the annual Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch.

Some might know Ora best for her music career. The 23 year old singer and girlfriend of DJ Calvin Harris, wouldn’t share too much about her upcoming album. She did, however, say: “It comes out in a few months,” and went on to add, “It’s been about a year and a half of kind of doing it undercover, but I can officially say it’s done. The album’s gonna be great.”

While Rita’s first love may be music, Fifty Shades isn’t her first encounter with acting. For the sixth sequel of the high-octane Fast & Furious movie series, she took on a small non-speaking part when she was cast as a racer. Now, with respect to her upcoming role in the torrid drama, it seems like she’s taking the next step in her acting career.

She admitted, “Oh, I was nervous because it was the first time I ever did a movie with words.”

Cast to play the adopted sister of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), Rita will star in the film alongside a list of names including Eloise Mumford, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle, Max Martini, Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes, and Dakota Johnson who portrays Anastasia Steele. Of her first experience delivering lines in a feature film, she said, “It was so nice. The director Sam, she was incredible, so it was all love.”

The aforementioned director of the highly anticipated Universal Pictures and Focus Features project is Sam Taylor-Wood. Sam (short for Samantha) is also an artist and has directed such films as Nowhere Boy. She was chosen to direct the adaptation of the erotic novel from a list that also included Angelina Jolie, Steven Soderbergh, Joe Wright, and Gus Van Sant.

As for the release date, it seems like there’s just as much taunting as the characters impose upon one another in the book. Mr. Grey won’t be “ready to see us” in the theaters until Valentine’s Day – of next year.

Will your “inner goddess” still be dancing by then?

  • Fifty Shades of Grey: First Glimpse of 2015 Film

Fifty Shades of Grey fans are getting their first tiny glimpse of what the upcoming film–due out on Valentine’s Day 2015–will entail. A new promotional poster, featuring a backwards Christian Grey overlooking a view of Seattle from his office. Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey looks dapper–for a backwards guy, anyway–in a finely tailored suit. The text on the poster reads, “Mr. Grey Will See You Now.”

The erotic drama is based upon author E.L. James’s novel, and stars, in addition to Dornan, Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele. Eloise Mumford plays Anastasia’s best friend Kate Kavanagh and Jennifer Ehle plays her mother, Carla. Max Martini plays Christian Grey’s bodyguard and Marcia Gay Harden plays his adoptive mother, Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey.

Fans are no doubt bemoaning the fact that they still have more than a year until this film hits theaters, but will likely cling to this tiny tidbit of information and promotion the way housewives clung to the sexy scenes in–oh, wait. That’s what this film is based on.

Fifty Shades of Grey announced the release of this new poster via their Twitter account, and since then it has appeared it countless places across the internet.

Does the release of this poster make you long to see scenes featuring Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele engaging in acts of–well, if you’re not a housewife then you likely won’t care. At least that’s what the naysaying critics say about their idea of the book-to-film translation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

In the meantime fans of the books will simply have to wait until the next little fish is dangled above them on a string. Maybe it will be a new trailer or a sound byte from one of those secret fetish rooms.

  • Jamie Dornan Is The New Christian Grey

Okay ladies (and some gentleman), you can calm down, the part of Christian Grey has been cast (again). Model/actor Jamie Dornan will don those wonderfully hung jeans and enter the red room of pain. (If you don’t understand, read the books.)

Ever since Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the Fifty Shades of Grey film, there has been pandemonium. While many were excited to see him leave, others had just gotten used to the idea of Hunnam as billionaire Christian Grey.

Rumors have been swirling all over the place on who would replace Hunnam as the kinky Grey. Many were hoping Matt Bomer would fill the role. Some of the names that had been tossed around included Jamie Dornan, Alexander Skarsgard, Christian Cooke, and most recently Luke Bracey. But it looks like Dornan won out as the dominant (seriously, read the books) Christian Grey.

Though Focus/Universal declined to confirm the news, an inside source said Dornan is in the final talks to play the BDSM enthusiast opposite Dakota Johnson’s Anastasia Steele.

Dornan wasn’t the only person who was strongly considered for the role. Like Dornan, Tony-nominated actor Billy Magnussen also read for the role with Johnson on Friday.

With shooting for the film scheduled to start mid-November, there was a bit of a rush to find someone to play the main character from the famous erotica novels.

Many have taken to Twitter, sharing their pleasure with the choice of Dornan.

And just a little more proof that maybe they chose right this time.

As expected, some people are still not pleased.

  • Fifty Shades Of Grey, Fifty Shades Of Confusion

Nobody said it would be easy to cast stars for one of the most successful trilogies concerning a vulnerably heated relationship. However, nobody could have predicted the string of complications that have befallen the Hollywood project of bringing the escapades of Christian Grey to life on the big screen. Fifty Shades Of Grey‘s widespread popularity is proving to create some problems.

First, there are those who still question the popularity of the series written by E L James and the desire to have the films made in the first place.

Concerns have also centered around the script where Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Patrick Marber has now been added to refine the present script.

There is also the issue of finding and keeping the right movie stars for the job. Charlie Hunnam had all the ingredients to be an ideal candidate; however, backed out due to reported claims of conflicting work requirements and rumors of discouragement regarding an overwhelming level of media attention.

While casting agents are busy buzzing about the potential Mr. Grey, Dakota Johnson has decided to remain.

So, who will assume the role of Christian Grey? Ian Somerholder of Vampire Diaries fame, Matt Bomer of White Collar, Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood, and Jamie Dornan from Once Upon A Time have all been mentioned as possibilities.

Even Patrick Dempsey was cornered about potential rumors to play the role.

The elusive task of finding and pinning Christian Grey down is proving to be as complicated for Hollywood bigwigs as it was for the fictitious Anastasia Steele.

  • Dakota Johnson Still Committed to “50 Shades”

Dakota Johnson, 24, is not standing idly by while producers of the Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation search for her new leading man. According to Hollywood Life, the actress is looking to join the hunt. They report from an industry source, “For Dakota, she was sad that Charlie [Hunnam] had to back out but she is very excited to see who will take the role. She is in constant contact with producers and the studio and she is very willing to help out in any way and is looking forward to do readings with everyone who is available for the role.”

Fans of Johnson, who is cast as Anastasia Steele, were a little nervous with the troupe turbulence as the pairing of Johnson and Hunnam was reported to be based on their chemistry, but producers promise their commitment to Johnson is as solid as when they cast her back in early September.

But the rumor mill is certainly full of conjecture that the fame and pressure may get to Johnson as it did Hunnam.

    twitter on Johnson

MTV News jumped on the speculation about Hunnam’s replacement with a ranking of possible new Christian Grey billionaires, in addition to popularly rumored Matt Bomer and Ian Somerholder. They name Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood), Jamie Dornan (Once Upon A Time), Theo James (Downton Abbey) and Christian Cooke (Magic City) as their top nominees for the literary world’s reigning king of seduction.

Author of the book series, E.L. James, favors Robert Pattinson, who apparently has no plans to don another franchise role at this time.

Daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, Johnson is scheduled for two more 2014 releases in addition to Fifty Shades (due out 1 August 2014). Need for Speed with Aaron Paul, of Breaking Bad immortality, is in post-production and an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline is currently filming.

  • Hunnam Drops Christian Grey Role – Matt Bomer In?

Many 50 Shades Of Grey fans were disappointed when they found out Son’s Of Anarchy Star, Charlie Hunnam would be portraying Christian Grey in the film. Many felt that he did not have the right look or personality for the role. Of course, every fan had their own idea of who would be the best man for the job, but one popular choice for the part was Matt Bomer. It looks like Bomer may have another chance, because Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the movie.

“The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey,” Universal Pictures said in a statement

Hunnam had expressed fears of letting down the fans of the book and admitted to feeling like he was under a lot of pressure to do well with the role. A source close to Hunnam claims that he was overwhelmed by all the attention he was receiving from the movie and decided to back out.

Bomer hasn’t officially been chosen to replace Hunnam as Christian Grey, but fans are hoping he wil. Most assumed he would be chosen for the part the first time it came up and now that it is available again, Bomer is on every the lips of ever 50 Shades Of Grey Fan.

Universal and producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will have to choose a replacement quickly if they want to stay on schedule with filming and their release date of Aug 1, 2014. Will they go with the popular vote and choose Bomer or will they choose someone else and disappoint fans all over again?

  • ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Book Cast

It’s the book that’s had every female entertained, blushing or at the very least, talking about how ridiculously raunchy the pages were. Fifty Shades of Grey is the book that seemingly every woman was reading last summer. And now, the rumors of turning the delightfully-tacky tale into a movie has come true. But who was cast to play such intriguing characters that had people endlessly talking?

It seems that Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam were the lucky duo to be cast as the leading characters in the adaptation of the book. According to the director, EL James, there were other prospects in line for the lead roles.Johnson and Hunnam’s roles were announced on Sep. 2 via Twitter.

Other male actors in line for the role of the 27-year-old billionaire, “Christian Grey” was heartthrob, Ryan Gosling and British TV star, Christian Cooke.

Hunnam, 33, was not completely eager to jump on the sexy role of Mr. Grey right away. Sources say Hunnam only agreed to take the role after meeting with producers. The actor also agreed to a scheduled chemistry read with co-actor Johnson. The deal closed on Labor Day with the actors signing on for a trilogy.

Apparently the actor search was kept slightly under wraps since the book has left many skeptical with it’s sexy details. But that’s not the only reason to believe this process was kept quiet…The fans of the book seem to have quite the opinion of whom should be cast as the leading roles.

According to Change.org, a petition to recast the lead roles went to Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel. The petition has been signed by 32,628 people so far.

What do you think? Will Johnson and Hunamm work as the leading duo or do the supporters of the Bomer and Bledel have a valid point?
