  • Kelly Kapowski Gives Chris Paul a Present, Jealous?

If you had a crush on Kelly Kapowski – and who didn’t – you have something in common with NBA star Chris Paul.

The Clippers point guard revealed his passion for the Saved by the Bell character when he posted a signed picture of Kelly by the actress who played her, Tiffani Thiessen, on his Instagram account.

“Chris, Happy Birthday, my dear,” that actress wrote on the picture.

“This is easily one of the best Bday gifts I’ve ever received in my 29yrs on this Earth!!! #KellyKapowski #My1stLove #WeWereTogether #SheJustDidntKnowIt #CuzImSavedByTheBell,” Paul posted with the picture.

And Paul isn’t the only athlete who has the hots for Kelly. Tennis pro Andy Roddick left a message for the basketball star on his Twitter page.

“I’l [sic] literally am having issues containing my jealousy … Back off CP!” he posted not long after Paul shared his gift.

If you don’t remember, Kelly Kapowski was the bubbly and charming brunette student on the show. She was adored by many, but only had eyes for Zack Morris, played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

Twitter also showed its love for the character:

Although the show ended in 1993, Kapowski is always mentioned whenever the topic of hot 1990s teenage starlets comes up. In fact, a picture of the character with her flowing locks and gorgeous smile is emblazoned on a T-shirt that a variety of celebs have been seen donning.

Case in point: Dancing With the Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy wore the shirt during a dance rehearsal. The funny part about it is that his partner was Elizabeth Berkley, who played Jessie Spano, on the show.

  • Sasha Vujacic Signs With Los Angeles Clippers With 10-Day Contract

In a search to obtain more depth for their roster, the Los Angeles Clippers have signed Sasha Vujacic. He is a native of Slovenia, and will join a group of talented veterans that are continually being added to the Clipppers roster.

It will be homecoming for Vujacic in terms of location, as he was once a star for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he has not played in the NBA since the 2010-2011 season. He spent time overseas and last played for the Turkish Euroleague team Anadolu Efes Istanbul in 2012-13.

The 29-year-old veteran guard will join the Clippers with a 10-day contract, who will look to add him as yet another shooting option on a team that continues to build. While playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, Sasha Vujacic was on a team that won the NBA Championship in 2009 and 2010.

The Clippers have continued to look to find more options to assist at the point guard position with Chris Paul injured, although luckily they have not gone on a losing streak as a result of that injury. In fact, the Clippers are 11-4 since their star player was sidelined with a separated shoulder. He has been out since January 3rd.

In recent weeks, Stephen Jackson, Maalik Wayns and Hedo Turkoglu were also signed, although Turkoglu is the only player who has remained with the team.

Sasha Vujacic’s is simply another addition to a team that continues to rebuild, and started with the signing of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, along with Doc Rivers, who hopes to continue to turn the team around and make a run at a championship with his new squad.

The Los Angeles Clippers are currently 34-16 and sit at the No.4 spot in the western conference, behind the Thunder, Spurs and Blazers, respectively. Sasha Vujacic is just one of several other guards who have recently been signed, although whether he will stick around is yet to be determined.

The Clippers continue to sign old veterans, and are going with the immediate solution as they fill the space that Chris Paul has left. Turkoglu is a 34-year-old veteran who has played with several teams, and Sasha Vujacic joins the pack of older players on the team, possibly making them one of the oldest teams in the league.

  • Blake Griffin and Chris Paul Expected to Play in Game 6

Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, two Los Angeles Clippers players who were both suffering from injuries, are expected to play in the Game 6 showdown against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Griffin sprained his left knee during Wednesday night’s game. However, Thursday’s MRI showed no structural damage, prompting Griffin to announce his intentions to play Friday night. Paul, who strained his hip and jammed his middle finger, is expected to step onto the court tonight, as well. According to the folks over atProBasketballTalk, both me are ready to go.

These announcements are great news for the Clippers, who are currently leading the series 3-2. The team won the playoffs in 2006, a feat they hadn’t accomplished since 1976. Griffin and Paul have helped the team overcome their bad reputation in the league, and fans are no doubt happy that the duo plan to return for Game 6.

“We know how big of a game it is. It’s great to be in this situation, and we have to handle it the right way, hopefully,” said Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro.

Twitter fans are pretty excited that the pair will hit the court tonight against Memphis. You can have a look at their colorful reactions below.
