  • Jennifer Aniston Sports Fishtail Braid

Jennifer Aniston has sported variations of the same hairstyle for years now, but was spotted recently wearing a side fishtail braid for a change. The ‘do is messy and casual, but really suited the Friends star.

Chris McMillan is Jennifer Aniston’s longtime hair stylist, and after creating the fun ‘do he opted to post in on his Instagram account for all her fans to see.

    “#jenniferaniston #braid #fishtail #summer-hair #unplugged @livingproofinc #lovethisgirl,” the photo is captioned.

Certainly this style isn’t red carpet worthy but it definitely holds promise–that of future possibilities for a beautiful woman who has been in a bit of a fashion rut–at least with regard to her hair. Yes, her layered tresses are gorgeous, but you seldom see her do anything more than wear it loose or pin it up into a simple up do. She has, however, added braids to her repertoire before. She debuted a subtle French braid at the 2009 Oscars and an even edgier version at the 2013 Spike TV Guys’ Choice Awards.

It seems Jennifer Aniston and Chris McMillan are working on a project together and that’s the reason behind Jen’s fishtail braid. Called Living Proof, the project is a collaboration involving Aniston and McMillan on a hair care line of products. Jen’s fiance Justin Theroux was even enticed enough by their work to stop by for a peek.

What do you think of Jennifer Aniston’s fishtail braid? Do you think it suits her natural beauty or do you prefer her latest variation of the ‘Rachel’ hairstyle that she’s sported since her days on Friends instead?

Jennifer Aniston Loves Her New Hair

Jennifer Aniston debuted a new look last week, and remains excited about it.

Aniston has always set a fashion trend when it came to her hair. During the first two seasons of “Friends” her hairstyle was named, “The Rachel”. Lately, she has been keeping it long and simple, however, she recently made a “spur of the moment decision” to chop it all off.

“It’s right at my jaw line, maybe a little longer,” she said during an interview with Vogue. “It was kind of spur-of-the-moment. I was flipping through the television channels and I paused it to take a picture and I sent it to Chris, and he said, ‘That’s [stylist] Lawren Howell from Vogue!’ And then he said, ‘I just cut that!’ So that’s it. He went way shorter than hers, but she was the inspiration.”

Her thoughts on her new look? “I don’t know, man. I did it! I feel great. I feel lighter. It’s simple, it’s really simple, that’s for sure,” she said. “But I’m always one of those girls who does a big old chop just to get it really healthy, to repair all the [damage from] hair coloring and stuff like that. And I just got bored, honestly. It’s fun to change it up once in awhile.”

Although she was unsure about the cut at first, it seems as though it is starting to grow on her. Her stylist and long-time friend, Chris McMillan, posted a picture on Instagram of Aniston’s short new do. The caption read: “LOVE!! #JenniferAniston #bobhaircut @LivingProofInc #Flex #PerfectHairDay #LivingProof #ChrisMcMillan #newdo.”

Aniston is not the only celebrity that is sporting a short new do. Jennifer Lawrence also cut off her long locks into a short pixie cut.
