  • Jared Fogle Pays Out Over $1 Million In Restitution To His Victims

The disgraced former face of Subway Jared Fogle has shelled out a total of $1.1 million to 11 of his 14 victims.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven DeBrota told CNN that each of the said victims each received a check for $100,000 after declaring that he was going to plead guilty to federal charges of child pornography and having sex with minors. Three of those victims are now adults.

The other three victims are due to receive their checks as well after pending administrative steps have been ironed out. Timothy Horty, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney in Indianapolis stated that Fogle has already placed the remaining funds into a trust account. The payments are part of a plea deal that Fogle agreed to after being formally charged with possession and distribution of child pornography and engaging in sexual acts with minors in different states. DeBrota adds that the financial restitution was determined by various factors such as the value of the pornographic images, the victims’ emotional losses, and, of course, Fogle’s ability to pay.

Fogle can be remembered as the spokesman of the sandwich chain who gained popularity through his “Subway diet,” which enabled him to lose more than 200 pounds. He appeared in numerous Subway commercials from 2000 until July this year.

Fogle’s legal counsel stated that their client “fully recognizes that such monetary contribution will not undo the harm he has caused, he is hopeful it will assist these individuals as they try to move forward with their lives.”

They added that Fogle is aware that he “has a medical problem” and that he has started taking steps to cure it through professional help.

The remainder of the restitution will be paid prior to the sentencing, which is scheduled to take place on November 19. Jared Fogle is expected to face anywhere between five to 12 ½ years in prison.

  • Michelle Duggar: Here’s Why She’s A Hypocrite

Irony is defined as a figure of speech in which words are used in such a way that their intended meaning is different from the actual meaning of the words used.

Or in Michelle Duggar’s case, it’s calling transgender people “child predators” when her own son has admitted to molesting very young girls.

A 2012 call recorded by the Duggar matriarch has people calling her the worse kind of hypocrite.

In the voice recording, the 19 Kids and Counting mother states that she’s calling to bring attention to a bill that would allow transgender people the right to use the bathroom they want to use according to their gender identity.

“I don’t believe the citizens of Fayetteville would want males with past child predator convictions that claim they are female to have a legal right to enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls,” Duggar says.

She further exhorted parents to stand against a law that would “endanger their daughters or allow them to be traumatized by a man joining them in their private space.”

No one knows if Michelle has even considered the trauma her own daughters might be carrying after being allegedly molested by one of their own siblings when she made these statements.

Countless people have already taken to Twitter to lambast the 47-year-old mother for her hypocritical comments and close minded, intolerant views.

However, this is just another controversy the conservative and traditional Duggar parents are facing now that the harsh glare of the spotlight is shining on them.

A Radar Online article claims that the police report that contains Josh’s admission of molesting 5 young girls also includes information on how the Duggar parents use corporal punishment.

According to the report, an investigator asked one victim about being spanked. The victim admitted that “they have a rod” and that Jim Bob and Michelle used this on “all of the children.”

  • Mama June Shannon Says Molester Has “Moved On”

Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s original appearance on TLC’s bizarre reality show Toddlers & Tiaras wound up being a cash cow for her family. Viewers tuned in to rubberneck at the antics of parents “Mama June” Shannon and Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson and their kids: Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, and Anna “Chickadee” Shannon. A new addition, Anna’s newborn daughter Kaitlyn, was also added to the mix.

The TLC spin-off series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo ran for four seasons and likely could have gone on. There was reportedly more show footage shot to be released. But TLC has pulled the plug.

Sugar Bear and Mama June split back in September, amid allegations of infidelity that Sugar Bear denied. Reportedly, Mama June found out her man had a profile on a dating website.

Then, in October reports surfaced that Mama June was now dating a man who was registered as a sex offender. Mama June denied it. But the stink was on.

According to reports, Mama June was seen out and about with old boyfriend Mark McDaniel. McDaniel has done jail time for child molestation.

It’s one thing for a reality TV star to talk about anal sex, deride homosexuals, and generally preach intolerance on a regular basis. But there are children on this show. TLC shelved its unseen footage and said goodbye to Mama June and her brood.

“We are currently reassessing the reports,” the network said, “but we do not currently have Here Comes Honey Boo Boo in production”.

Now Mama June has come forward again, this time talking with Dr. Phil about the whole mess.

“He’s moved on, he’s got a girlfriend and it’s not me,” she told Dr. Phil of McDaniel. “I would never take my child around someone like that,” she insisted, even though there are photos showing just that very thing.

Now that her television show is no more, June just wants to get on with life and get off the tabloid covers.

“I have nothing to hide, I have nothing to lose,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I just want, honestly, to tell my side of the story and let’s move on.”

  • ‘Ted 2’ Drops Stephen Collins; Actor Allegedly Molested Young Girls

After the release of a controversial audio recording concerning the actor, the comedy film Ted 2 reportedly fired Stephen Collins. Ted 2, helmed by Seth MacFarlane, decided not to involve Collins in the film after news broke that the actor allegedly admitted to molesting and exposing himself to young girls.

TMZ has obtained an audio recording that Collins’ wife Faye Grant had made during therapy sessions in 2012, where Collins admitted to molesting or exposing himself to several young girls. Production sources close to Ted 2 revealed to TMZ that Collins was immediately fired after the site posted the recording. Also, a source from The David Lynch Foundation told TMZ that Collins had resigned his post as Co-Director for its Committee for Stress-Free Schools two years ago for “personal reasons”. After TMZ called the Foundation, Collins’ name was reportedly removed from the website of the Committee.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Collins has yet to be charged with a crime, but the audio recording and the ongoing investigation of the New York Police Department were enough for MacFarlane and Universal Pictures to make a decision on having him in Ted 2. Representatives of Ted 2 have reportedly confirmed the firing of Collins, and sources close to the film have said that the removal of his character would not affect its final outcome.

Collins hinted about his involvement in Ted 2 on Saturday, when he responded to a fan asking him what his role was in the movie. He tweeted, “I’d tell you but @SethMacFarlane would have to kill me.” Meanwhile, Ted 2 has begun filming and will be released on June 26, 2015.

Collins will apparently not be seen on TV either, as a representative for TV Guide Network has reportedly confirmed that it will stop airing reruns of his show 7th Heaven because of the abuse allegations.

  • Wade Robson: Nervous Breakdown Preceded Molestation Claims

In the 2005, when Michael Jackson was on trial for molestation charges, Wade Robson defended the King of Pop in court, stating that Jackson never molested him or anyone he knew. Since that time, Robson has gone on to become an award-winning choreographer, working with stars such as Justin Timberlake and creating routines for the network TV show So You Think You Can Dance. He reportedly stayed friends with Jackson until the singer’s death.

This week, Robson recanted his past claims, now stating that he was, in fact, molested by Jackson. According to a TMZ report, Robson is now calling Jackson a “monster” who molested him for seven years, from age 7 to 14.

Robson’s Lawyer stated that Robson had a nervous breakdown last year due to his past. TMZ is now citing unnamed “sources close to the Robson family” as saying Robson began breaking contracts and attending therapy in March 2012.

The claims came as a shock to Robson’s family and Jackson’s fans, as Robson had always staunchly defended the pop star against the allegations. His about-face has prompted much speculation on Twitter over whether Robson was lying in the past or is lying now:

  • California Teacher Faces Charges For Feeding Children Semen

Authorities began investigating a third grade teacher at Miramonte Elementary School in Los Angeles, California last year after being tipped-off by a local film developer. Strange pictures of children blindfolded with bugs in their mouths, cockroaches on their faces, and an unknown white liquid on cookies being fed to the them are what compelled the processor to report the photos to authorities.

Mark Berndt was arrested monday after a year long investigation. He is charged with committing lewd acts on 23 boys and girls, between the ages of 6 to 10, taking place between 2008 to 2010. About 400 photos have been discovered of the acts at Berndt’s home and the processing lab.

Sheriff Lt. Carlos Marquez says,“If it wasn’t for the film processor, this could still be continuing today”.

Facing a life sentence, Berndt could have been arrested on misdemeanor charges last year but investigators chose to put him under surveillance in hopes of building a much stronger felony case.

Berndt had never had any disciplinary actions taken against him and has been a teacher at the school since 1979. None of the children reported any of the abuses and thought the acts were just part of a “game”.

All the known incidents took place during school hours but not all the children involved were members of Berndt’s third grade class.

    Sheriff Lt. Carlos Marquez elaborates:

“The reason some of the kids are not his students, per se, is that during the lunch breaks or recess, he’d go out to the playground and entice them back to the classroom,”

Currently Berndt id being held on $2.3 million bail. An arraignment is set for Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court. The defendant has no previous arrest record.
