Sean Penn Spotted Kissing Beautiful Young Blonde At Chicago Steakhouse

Is Sean Penn currently dating a younger woman? The actor-humanitarian was reportedly spotted kissing a “beautiful young blonde” at a Chicago restaurant last week.

The actor arrived at Chicago Cut Steakhouse together with his much younger companion, who, according to onlookers, was probably in her early 20s. The pair shared an intimate dinner “near a window in full view. Many public kisses were shared,” a source revealed.

“He came in with no reservation so he was not pretentious or trying to set it up or making sure he was incognito – he literally walked right in,” an insider told People.

Penn and his date reportedly ordered “oysters, a sea bass, and a steak, and then they both had dessert and hot tea,” and onlookers agree that the two were “very romantic with one another.”

The 55-year-old actor posed for a photograph with the restaurant’s hostess after his dinner, but left when guests started asking to take photos with him.

According to Page Six, Penn was also seen this week at Chicago bar Phyllis’ Musical Inn, which resulted in rumors that he has a girlfriend in the area. Penn’s camp has yet to confirm the reports.

Sean Penn and ex-girlfriend Charlize Theron broke up last year. There were reports that the award-winning actor and Theron were engaged, and many thought they were going to end up together since there was a rumor that he was planning to adopt her second child. He previously married Robyn Wright in 1996 but split up with her in 2010.

His relationship with Madonna is perhaps the most publicized as the two remain “good friends.” The pop icon recently expressed her love for Sean Penn at a charity event back in January.

“I want to say Sean, I love you, from the moment that I laid eyes on you,” Madonna said during a speech at charity event in California.

  • Charlize Theron Stuns in Striking Gown With Deep Plunging Neckline at Oscars

Charlize Theron outdid herself on the Oscars red carpet Sunday, and that’s not an easy thing to do. Always gorgeous on any red carpet she walks, the Mad Max: Fury Road star stunned those who caught her entrance.

Wearing a crimson Christian Dior gown, with a neckline that plunged to her navel, Charlize Theron rocked the style that ended with a mermaid bottom.

Even though Charlize Theron wasn’t an Academy Award nominee, her recent film, Mad Max: Fury Road–for which the blonde beauty even shaved her head, received several Oscars.

Throughout the exciting evening, Charlize Theron posed for pictures with several A-listers, including Lady Gaga, Emily Blunt, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Did it surprise you to learn Charlize Theron wasn’t a nominee at Sunday’s Oscars?

Did seeing her in that gorgeous Christian Dior gown make up for that in any way?

  • Charlize Theron, Matthew McConaughey Get Animated Together

Charlie Theron and Matthew McConaughey will appear for the first time on the big screen as animated characters in Kubo and the Two Strings. The actors wanted to try their hands at working on an animated film for the same reason.

Since both Matthew McConaughey and Charlize Theron are parents, they wanted to make something they could feel proud about letting their children watch. Many of the films the two have starred in aren’t child appropriate.

When McConaughey first checked out the script for Kubo and the Two Strings, he read it to his kids as a bedtime story.

“He would read them little sections each night,” the film’s director, Travis Knight, says in a recent interview with People magazine.

“That was his way of bringing the story to life and connecting with his children–it essentially became a bedtime story for the McConaughey family,” the director adds.

Charlize Theron loved the script, too.

“She found that this was not only something that she could show her child, but it was a beautiful story that she could be a part of,” Knight says.

Charlize Theron will play the role of a sword-wielding monkey named Monkey, while Matthew McConaughey’s character is a “big, brawny man-bug” named Beetle.

“Monkey and Beetle become a makeshift family for Kubo as they go on this journey, and they bond together as this family,” Knight says of Theron and McConaughey’s characters.

Since Matthew McConaughey has a Texas twang and Charlize Theron has a bit of a South African accent, both actors needed to work on a bit of voice modification for this project.

“They modified their natural accents accordingly,” Travis Knight says.

“Not a whole lot of actors can do it,” he adds. “But these are some of the best actors in the entire world, and from my perspective they seemed like they breezed through it.”

In addition to Charlize Theron and Matthew McConaughey, Kubo and the Two Strings will also star Rooney Mara, Art Parkinson, Ralph Fiennes and George Takei. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters on August 19.

  • Best Movies of 2015 Mix of Children’s, Action Films, and More

The best movies of 2015 comprise an eclectic list. “Best,” of course, is relative. NDTV.com made a list of what they consider the best movies of 2015, and it includes children’s films, action flicks, and more.

NDTV chose 10 films for their best movies of 2015 list–and they admit the list is surprising. See if you’ve watched any they deem among the year’s best.

Ant-Man: Dubbed the “smallest big film of the year,” Ant-Man made the list because of Paul Rudd and some impressive cinematography.

“The film was full of plot holes and inconsistent science, but none of that mattered because everyone in the cinema was having so much fun,” NDTV writes.

Inside Out: This Pixar film is about feelings that have feelings. It appeals–as most Pixar films do–to adults as well as the children for which it was written.

Mad Max: Fury Road: Stunning visuals, amazing scenery, and Charlize Theron took this film with a two-hour long chase scene to new heights, making it worthy of the best movies of 2015 listing.

The Martian: Even though NDTV says it’s “slow,” they also write it’s “surprisingly accessible and highly enjoyable.” It also stars Matt Damon. Enough said?

Jurassic World: Already a contender for an Oscar for best visual effects, the only film to trump this one in box office sales is Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Besides, who doesn’t love Chris Pratt?

Minions: They’re yellow, and they look like giant Twinkies with eyes–but that’s not enough to leave them off the best movies of 2015 list, and NDTV agrees. They do warn viewers not to take them too seriously, however. Who takes a yellow creature that looks like a Twinkie with eyes seriously? Really?

Good Dinosaur: Yet another offering from Pixar for 2015, it doesn’t boast the hype of Inside Out, but is one of the most “gorgeous animated movies” the good people at NDTV have ever seen.

Ex Machina: Starring Alicia Vikander of The Danish Girl, Ex Machina raises questions about transhumanism without requiring viewers to learn a whole new vocabulary.

Chappie: Classified as a film you’ll either really love or really hate, Chappie features rappers Die Antwoord. NDTV says give it a chance, and since it made their best movies of 2015 list, someone must have done just that.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens: This one needs no explanation. It grossed more than any other film that opened Christmas weekend–even trumping Jurassic Park.

Would you place any of these films on your best movies of 2015 list?

There are many lists boasting the year’s best. As previously stated, “best” is relative. Do you agree?

  • Charlize Theron Up Against Jennifer Lawrence For Award

Charlize Theron and Jennifer Lawrence will be battling it out this awards season; both are nominated in the same category for the Critics’ Choice Awards, for Mad Max: Fury Road and Joy, respectively.

The actresses share a lead actress nomination with Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson, Charlotte Rampling, and Saoirse Ronan, but Theron won’t just see her name put in to one category; Mad Max nabbed a total of 13 nominations, including one for best actress in an action movie.

2015 has been a bit of a wild ride for Theron; after an intense relationship with Sean Penn, the couple broke things off, and rumors began to circulate that Charlize dumped Penn by “ghosting” him and never returning his calls. While she hasn’t spoken publicly about the split, she followed it up by adopting a baby girl named August. Theron was already mom to 4-year old Jackson.

“I do know that choosing to be a mom in my late 30s has been really great for me. It’s given me perspective,” Theron told W Magazine earlier this year.

Charlize recently sat down with Jimmy Fallon to talk about motherhood and said that her son–who cracks her up on a daily basis–isn’t okay with being boxed into a corner when it comes to gender roles in play. Theron says he doesn’t just go for Iron Man, he also loves the Frozen characters and plays with the dolls often.

As for Jennifer Lawrence, she’s busy wrapping up the Hunger Games franchise. The 25-year old actress said recently that she thinks it’s too soon for anyone to be talking about prequels, and noted that she wouldn’t be involved with one if it gets the green light.

“I wouldn’t be involved. I think it’s too soon. They’ve got to let the body get cold, in my opinion,” Jennifer Lawrence said.

  • Sofia Boutella of ‘The Kingsman’ To Play the Monster in ‘The Mummy’ Reboot

Sofia Boutella, who starred in Kingsman: The Secret Service, is currently in talks to play the mummy in Universal’s reboot of The Mummy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tom Cruise is in negotiations to star as the hero in the film written by Jon Spaihts that will be set in modern day. Alex Kurtzman is slated to direct the film scheduled to be released on March 24, 2017.

Although the plot details are being kept under wraps, the monster will indeed be female.

Universal plans to use The Mummy as a platform to launch a series of interconnected monster movies. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the studio hopes to build a cinematic universe out of its vault of classic creature features, which include characters like Dracula, Frankenstein, the Invisible Man, the Bride of Frankenstein and vampire hunter Van Helsing.

A Universal spokesperson said the studio is not commenting on any casting speculation surrounding Mummy, although The Wrap has confirmed that Boutella will indeed play the mummy.

Sofia Boutella, who is a classically trained dancer, is best know as the blade-legged assassin in Kingsman, which also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Colin Firth and Taron Egerton. She will next star in Paramount’s Star Trek Beyond, directed by Justin Lin, and will be seen in The Coldest City, a spy thriller starring Charlize Theron and James McAvoy.

  • Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron Are Diabolical In First Trailer For “The Huntsman: Winter’s War”

Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron take center stage in the first trailer to be released for next year’s almost certain hit, The Huntsman: Winter’s War.

Emily Blunt is Freya, an evil ice queen who happens to be the sister of the evil queen Ravenna from the first The Huntsman which is again played perfectly by Charlize Theron.

Of course, Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the title character and this time he has a love interest.

Jessica Chastain gets to make out with Chris Hemsworth in her role as Sara, a fellow warrior who falls in love with him. This forbidden love leads to the pair’s banishment from Freya’s army.

This love story is nice, but the spotlight seems to be on the two evil queens, and rightly so.

Devan Coggin of Entertainment Weekly described the plot of the movie, saying, “Before Ravenna was defeated by Snow White, she stood by as Freya was betrayed and fled into the wilderness, where she built an icy palace and amassed an army of killer huntsmen.”

He added, “Eric [Hemsworth] and Sara [Chastain] were her two most beloved warriors, until they fell in love and she banished them. Years later, after learning that her sister has been defeated, Freya seeks to reclaim Ravenna’s Magic Mirror, only to find that it can help to resurrect her sister. Together, the pair team up to start a new reign of terror, as only evil queen sisters can.”

Emily Blunt gorgeous and dangerous as Freya, but there has also been tons of speculation as to her character’s inspiration.

Are you excited to see Emily Blunt as Elsa Freya?

  • Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt Look Totally Badass In New Posters For ‘Huntsman: Winter’s War’

Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain and Chris Hemsworth look totally badass in new character posters released for Huntsman: Winter’s War.

Universal unveiled the four new character posters for spinoff to Snow White and the Huntsman, which features two new faces.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the new film reunites Chris Hemsworth’s huntsman Eric with Charlize Theron’s evil queen Ravenna. New characters include Jessica Chastain as a great warrior and Emily Blunt as an unstoppable ice queen.

Kristen Stewart, who played Snow White in the first installment will not appear in the Winter’s War, which takes place before Eric and Ravenna met Snow White. Blunt’s character, Freya, is Ravenna’s sister and has fled their kingdom after a heartbreaking betrayal and locked herself away in an icy palace. But when Freya’s two most beloved huntsmen, Eric and Sara (Chastain), defy her commands and fall in love, she casts them out into the wilderness.

Years later, Freya learns that Charlize Theron‘s character has been vanquished by Snow White, so she seeks to claim her Magic Mirror, only to find that her sister can be resurrected.

Things will likely get downright crazy when the two evil sisters amass an army to take out lovebirds. The two huntsmen become the only hope in eliminating the forces of evil.

Directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, who was visual effects supervisor on the original film, the movie’s trailer will be released on Wednesday and is slated for theaters April 22.

  • Lily Rabe Takes On Old Charlize Theron Role on “American Horror Story”

Lily Rabe has returned to American Horror Story, and this time it’s in the form of serial killer Aileen Wournos. Wournos was portrayed in the 2003 film Monster by Charlize Theron. Wournos was put to death in 2002 at the Florida State Prison for the murders of seven men between 1989 and 1980.

MTV reports that this one episode with Lily Rabe as Wournos may be all fans get. She has already checked out of the “Hotel.”

In her role as Aileen Wournos, Lily Rabe didn’t get the benefit of expert costuming like that of Charlize Theron in the film. In fact, one source calls the costume and makeup Rabe were “cheesy.”

Lily Rabe’s character seduced a drunken John, despite the cheesy get-up, and bound him. When he escaped, he went straight to her I.D. and learned she was exactly who she claimed to be.

An aside: Did Lyly Rabe feel a bit silly playing a dead serial killer who carries I.D.?

MTV is begging American Horror Story for more Lily Rabe. Do you concur? Would her presence add lots to the upcoming episodes this season?

  • Charlize Theron And Other Actresses Are Curing Hollywood’s ‘Gender Imbalance’

Gender-swapping is the new trend in Hollywood and Charlize Theron is now a part of it as she takes the role originally meant for Brad Pitt in The Gray Man.

Though her role as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max will not appear in the sequel, Theron has a greater role coming up as a CIA agent-turned-assassin who must save daughters she didn’t know she had.

The role was originally offered to Brad Pitt but the film was put on hold. Reportedly, the script would be revised to fit the twist that Theron will be playing.

According to Sandra Bullock, gender-swapping can be a cure to gender imbalance in Hollywood, because there are limited roles given to women, unlike men.

“We deserve to have stories that reflect that. And normalize that instead of it being a rarity. ‘Oh she’s intelligent? She wants to travel the world and do things for herself? Well, that’s weird.’ That’s the way it’s played out for so long,” Bullock said.

Bullock is working on Our Brand Is Crisis, which was originally supposed to star her friend George Clooney in the lead role. However, she reached out to Clooney to express her interest in taking his place, after having difficulty finding interesting roles for female actors.

“Sandy called and said she wanted to do the role, [which] was originally developed for a man,” Clooney said in an interview. “And once we realized that you could change it really easily, it made you realize that there are an awful lot of women’s roles that could be out there if people just started thinking in this way.”

Aside from Theron, Angelina Jolie played a role intended for Tom Cruise in Salt and recently, Carrie-Anne Moss was revealed to play a man’s role in Marvel’s Jessica Jones series.

  • Charlize Theron Might Star in Hitman Thriller ‘The Gray Man’

Charlize Theron is in talks for a spy-turned-assassin role that originally had another giant star attached to it.

Deadline reports that Theron is circling Sony Pictures’ The Gray Man, a film which has been in the works for some time.

A film that was once set to star Brad Pitt. That news broke in 2011, so this project has been stalled for a while.

The Gray Man is an adaptation of a 2009 novel by Mark Greaney – his first. Greaney is known as a former collaborator of Tom Clancy. He worked with Clancy on his last three books and also published three novel continuations of Clancy’s character Jack Ryan in 2014-2015.

If Theron takes the lead, the writers would have to switch things up a bit. The original lead in The Gray Man is male. As Deadline points out, “the thriller focuses on an expert CIA op-turned-assassin who is forced to evade adversaries as he saves the lives of daughters he didn’t know he had.”

So it will involve at least a little bit of tweaking.

But Theron is clearly up for the challenge of playing a spy/assassin.

Charlize Theron wouldn’t be the only woman to play a role originally written for a man in an upcoming film. Sandra Bullock’s role in the upcoming Our Brand Is Crisis was originally written for George Clooney.

And speaking of Theron and badass roles, there’s a chance that she won’t be appearing in the Mad Max sequel.

  • Charlize Theron: Stalker Brings Flowers to Her Home, Police Arrest Him

Charlize Theron received flowers Sunday afternoon–but everything wasn’t coming up roses.

It seems a stalker longed to see Charlize Theron face to face, so he posed as a flower delivery person and showed up at her Hollywood Hills home.

The “delivery person” rang the buzzer at Theron’s front gate and told her she had a floral delivery.

“Just leave them,” Charlize told him, but the man refused to leave.

Charlize Theron called the police, and the flower delivery man was soon arrested for stalking.

Stalking is a very real crime and celebrities are often targeted. While some stalkers aren’t violent, that certainly can’t be the assumption.

In addition to Charlize Theron, Salma Hayek, Sandra Bullock, Miranda Cosgrove, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, and Miley Cyrus have all been the victims of stalkers. Selena Gomez’s stalker was charged with a felony for his crime.

“The relentless neurotic nature of the stalker can take the form of harassing their targets, calling them repeatedly, as well as sending letters and gifts. If these are ineffective, the individual may escalate to more intrusive behaviors such as spying on, and unexpectedly confronting their victims. Research tends to focus on how violating it is to bear the brunt of stalkers’ obsessions, but there is little to explain what exactly motivates the stalker, and further, how to therapeutically treat these offenders,” Psychology Today reports.

Charlize Theron’s stalker didn’t cause her or her children any harm. Not everyone is that fortunate.

Hopefully once the man is released he doesn’t bother Charlize Theron or anyone else again.

  • Charlize Theron’s Shares Emotional Memory of Realization That AIDS Could Be Beaten In Her South African Homeland

Charlize Theron became overwhelmed with emotion when she recalled the moment she realized AIDS could be beaten in Africa.

During a panel discussion at the Mashable Social Good Summit, the U.N. Messenger of Peace recounted when she overheard a gay teenager inquiring about using a condom. It was at that moment she realized taboos had been overcome and fear had instead been replaced with positive action against the deadly disease, according to Huffpost Impact.

Theron noted that she realized the stigma surrounding AIDS had began to subside eight years ago, while she helped out as a volunteer at a workshop. After a volunteer had demonstrated a female condom to the class, a 16-year-old boy asked if he could use it for anal sex.

“I was so moved because that never happened when I was growing up,” Theron said. “People didn’t feel safe to talk in that manner. I know that that boy is alive, because he felt safe enough in that environment to ask a question.”

“That’s when I knew we were starting something that was going to turn the needle,” she added.

And there has been progress. Since 2000, the number of new HIV cases has dropped by 35 percent, from 3.1 million to 2 million, according to UNAIDS.

But to wipe out the disease,Theron and other activists say that the world needs to lend more resources to grassroots groups.

“The people who are doing the good work are the small, grassroots organizations who are on the ground that nobody is talking about, nobody is supporting,” Theron said. “It’s the people living in the villages with those young girls, with those adolescents who are at high risk.”

While Theron is excited by the progress being made in Africa, she still worries about how the world may still be too “complacent” about the virus that is still the leading killer among adolescents in Africa and the second leading cause of death among all adolescents globally.

Charlize Theron says she hopes that by keeping the conversation going, she’ll be able to keep the momentum going, especially amongst women.

“That should be something we should all be concerned about,” Theron said of how AIDS disproportionately affects women. “That affects me. That affects you. That’s not just an African problem. That’s not just as Asia problem … that’s all of us.”

  • Charlize Theron Visits ‘Today’ To Spread Awareness On AIDS, Actress Believes Epidemic Can Be Eliminated

Decades ago, condoms were perceived merely as a method of contraception as opposed to a means to prevent sexually-transmitted disease.

But for actress Charlize Theron, it’s an important tool that could possibly end AIDS in the coming years.

Theron visited Today last Monday to raise awareness about AIDS and how we could end it.

According to Theron, the statistics in Africa shows that girls are eight times more likely to acquire AIDS than boys. ‘When I was growing up (in South Africa) in the late ’80s and early ’90s, an epidemic really hit and we had little information on it,’ Theron revealed.

“I remember being a young girl growing up with this petrifying fear because people were dying and nobody knew why,” Theron said. “Today we know why, and it’s completely preventable, and yet more young girls are dying today than 20 years ago and something is wrong with that.”

Theron said the reason why the infectious disease is not ending is because people have been complacent and the issue is just being curbed instead of being eliminated completely. Charlize Theron also founded the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project in 2008, which is an organization that helps African youth keep themselves safe from HIV infection. Charlize Theron said she believes that youth of today should be taught how to prevent the illness instead of seeking immediate care.

Theron added that she is aware that her efforts and other organizations are not enough, and that all of us should work on this fight.

AIDS remains the leading killer among adolescents in Africa and the second leading cause of death among all adolescents globally.

“That should be something we should all be concerned about,” Theron said of how AIDS disproportionately affects women. “That affects me. That affects you. That’s not just an African problem. That’s not just as Asian problem… that’s all of us.”

  • Charlize Theron’s Passions: Her Son, Newly Adopted Daughter, and Fighting HIV/AIDS

Charlize Theron at times seems like a very complicated woman. She and Sean Penn split up after what seemed like a deep, permanent romance, and then she adopted yet another child as a single mom. At other times Theron is perfectly clear–like when she’s raising awareness for the plight of young women and HIV/AIDS in Africa.

On Monday, Charlize Theron talked with Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer on The Today Show about the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, which she founded in 2007.

“A lot of people assume that we’ve come a long way with HIV/AIDs—and we have, especially over the last decade. But HIV/AIDS is still the number one killer of women of a reproductive age worldwide. It’s something that we still really need to care about because it’s really disproportionately hitting young girls and young women,” she said. “We’ve seen a stability or a decrease in a lot of the infection rates across the board, but we are seeing an increase when it comes to youth and adolescents. Somehow we’re not reaching those very, very vulnerable girls. That’s what our project tries to do with our grassroots organizations on the ground.”

Charlize Theron was raised in South Africa. She lives in the U.S. She is working with those “who know the issues that these girls are facing with gender equality, education, or not getting the same level of education because they’re basically being treated second- and third-class citizens.”

Theron took a few minutes away from this topic to acknowledge that yes, she did adopt a daughter in August. Named August–baby August Theron joins brother Jackson Theron, who she adopted back in 2012.

Charlize Theron explained that her organization is all about prevention of HIV/AIDS.

“There was so much immediate care everywhere in South Africa, and I think all over the world, but we’re not going to stop AIDS until we actually teach people how not to become positive. What we’ve been doing is just curbing it. This is an infectious disease. You can’t curb that. So we had to stop it. We have to eliminate it completely,” the Mad Max: Fury Road star said. “And the problem is, the Western World, we’ve come so far. We don’t really see AIDS on the front page of the newspaper anymore. The problem is we become complacent and the problem is right now more young girls are dying because of that complacency.”

Charlize Theron may be a bit complex. She finished up her segment about her organization while talking of returning home to her three-month-old baby. She ended by saying the conversation she started must continue.

“Sit at dinner tonight and tell whomever you’re eating with that girls are eight times more likely to become HIV positive than boys in South Africa,” she said.

More information about the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project is available online. The organization has Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages.

  • Anne Hathaway Says Negotiating Salaries Is Different Because She’s a Woman

Anne Hathaway is now another name on the list of those women on Hollywood who say they are discriminated against when it comes to pay.

Anne Hathaway told People Magazine that, generally speaking, she does not feel poorly-treated as a woman, but there are some differences.

“Thankfully I don’t feel like I’ve ever been treated any differently because I’m a woman, but I do see it reflected in the type of roles that I’m offered, [and] when negotiating salaries it comes up,” Hathaway says.

Anne Hathaway continued, “And when you just look at the landscape, when you hear the statistic that only 30 percent of speaking roles in all films are women, you just go: ‘Okay, well, there’s so much more room for improvement there. So I think things are probably better than they ever have been, but there’s still many miles to go before we can call ourselves equal.”

Amanda Seyfriend has noticed the pay disparity just like Anne Hathaway has. Earlier this year, Amanda Seyfried was furious when she found out how much she was getting short-changed.

“A few years ago, on one of my big-budget films, I found I was being paid 10 percent of what my male costar was getting,” Seyfried told the Sunday Times. “And we were pretty even in status.”

Amanda Seyfried sees this kind of uneven work area as ridiculous.

“I think people think that just because I’m easygoing and game to do things, I’ll just take as little as they offer,” Seyfried said. “It’s not about how much you get, it’s about how fair it is.”

Seyfried’s friend and co-star Lizzy Caplan says that one would think there would not be that kind of inequality in a business like film nowadays, where female execs are on the rise.

“I mean, (look at) wage inequality even in our business, which is supposed to be this progressive side of things,” Caplan said. “I mean, it’s insane and it really pisses me off. I could go on a really hardcore feminist rant right now, but I’m not going to do that.”

Charlize Theron used the information learned from leaked Sony emails to get an equal asking price as her male co-star Chris Hemsworth for Snow White and the Huntsman.

“I thought about the temperature out there – with finding out what Jennifer [Lawrence] and Amy [Adams] were being paid on a set with guy actors who are their counterparts … They’re just as good as any of the guys on there,” Theron said. “Yeah, that pissed me off.”

Anne Hathaway is a hotly sought-after name nowadays, but Jennifer Lawrence is still the top earner. But even Lawrence is a victim of the female pay disparity difference.

  • Emily Blunt Crushes on Charlize Theron, As Does John Krasinski, But Not Seth MacFarlane

Emily Blunt Crushes on Charlize Theron, As Does John Krasinski, But Not Seth MacFarlane

Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski both admit to having a crush on Charlize Theron. How does that work out? Is this going to become a thing like when Khaleesi offered it to Magic Mike and his wife?

Emily Blunt is in The Huntsman, the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, which paired Charlize Theron with Kristen Stewart and a blind magic mirror.

“It was so much fun,” Emily Blunt sid of doing the film. “I loved working with all those people and Charlize is my new girl crush, for sure.”

That’s when John Krasinski piped up, “She’s my new girl crush, too.”

Uh-oh. Is Emily Blunt ok with this?

“She said I’m allowed to say that,” Krasinski quickly added.

“You don’t have a pass yet,” Blunt clarified. “We’ll discuss that later.”

In the film, Blunt plays Theron’s younger sister. “It was a total queen-off,” Blunt said of being opposite Charlize Theron. “There were two crowns on set and you don’t want that.”

When it comes to crushing on Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt and John Krasisnki can get in line. Howard Stern is still standing there. Stern recently asked Seth MacFarlane about the nature of his relationship with Theron after the pair worked together on A Million Ways to Die in the West. There was speculation that they pair may have become more than friends.

“That was just one of the best interactions that I’ve had, performance-wise,” MacFarlane said of working with Theron.

“I went into it very inexperienced. Half the reason I do most of the things that I do is because they scare me, and that’s what makes it exciting. Here’s an opportunity to do something that could fail miserably, and that’s kind of invigorating. The discovery that I made is that, if you are a relative journeyman, and you’re going in new at something, if you are with somebody who is so experienced and so good and so in command, you just feed off that, and it just enables you to kind of relax.”

But that is not what everyone wants to know. Did MacFarlane and Theron have a “thing” going, or not?

“She is not [a former girlfriend],” MacFarlane responded when asked directly. “We are the closest of friends.”

Still, he admitted to a closeness with Charlize Theron that went beyond what he shares with other friends.

“You meet through a project. You have to [fall in love] to some degree, in a weird creative way,” he said. “But you also don’t want to be the director who’s going in and dating the cast. I think she can do a lot better than me.”

“You develop a closeness with cast members. That situation, to me, was something that kind of beyond all that. This is somebody I’ll be friends with for life.”

Maybe that phenomenon explains Emily Blunt’s crush.

  • Christina Hendricks Replaced by Carla Gugino in Showtime Comedy Pilot

Christina Hendricks is out and Carla Gugino is in–at least according to Showtime. The network has replaced Hendricks with Gugino in Roadies as part of a recasting.

None of this was done to diss Christina Hendricks, however. She wanted out. The recasting has now made it possible for her to accept the lead role in a new SundanceTV project called Hap and Leonard.

Christina Hendricks played the role of Shelli in Showtime’s Roadies. She was a band’s production manager. The revamped role finds Carla Gugino portraying “a world-class multitasker, passionate music fan and tireless work partner to the band’s tour manager Bill,” who is played by Luke Wilson.

In Hap and Leonard, Hendricks will play martial arts expert Hap Collins’s ex-wife Trudy. Trudy resurfaces after two years with a proposition Hap (played by The Following’s James Purefoy) simply can’t passed up. The show is said to offer a side-eyed look into race, class and friendship.

Christina Hendricks is, of course, best known for her role as Joan Holloway on AMC’s Mad Men. She was named Esquire’s Sexiest Woman in the World back in 2010, and many believe she still deserves the role today.

Currently appearing on Comedy Central in Another Period, she is said to be hilarious in the American period sitcom.

Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds) and Jason Ritter are just two of the all-star cast working alongside Christina Hendricks in Another Period.

In addition to her TV roles, Christina Hendricks has appeared in Lost River, God’s Pocket, and Dark Places alongside Charlize Theron. She will appear in The Neon Demon in 2016.

  • Charlize Theron, Sean Penn Back Together Again

Charlize Theron and Sean Penn were spotted back together again in South Africa. The once engaged couple who split up in recent weeks was forced together to do reshoots for their upcoming film The Last Face.

Us Weekly reports that neither Penn nor Theron looked especially thrilled to be reunited.

It was just this past June when Charlize Theron called off her engagement to Sean Penn. Prior to that the two had both professed their love for one another to the media.

The two were last spotted together at the Cannes Film Festival, where her film Mad Max: Fury Road was featured.

“Charlize wasn’t responding to his calls and texts,” a source says of how Charlize Theron completely tuned Sean Penn out while the two were at Cannes. “She just cut it off.”

Sean Penn is reportedly dreading the press tour the two will be forced to take for The Last Face. That will likely be a very uncomfortable event for both actors.

There was certainly no love lost between Charlize Theron and Sean Penn when they met up in Cape Town earlier this week. He directs and she stars in The Last Face.

Do you think the two will come to some sort of amicable agreement before the press tour begins?

  • Charlize Theron Too Tall For New Film, But Perfect For The Story

Charlize Theron Too Tall For New Film, But Perfect For The Story

Charlize Theron’s new movie is a bit of a challenge for her, in one way. In other ways it was very close to home.

The film is Dark Places, based on the book by Gillian Flynn, who wrote the wildly successful book and film, Gone Girl.

Charlize Theron will portray Libby Day, a woman whose mother and two sisters were murdered in the 1980s. Her own brother went to prison for the murders. Libby has grown up certain that her brother Ben was the murderer. But she ends up talking with a group of people who have their doubts.

“I knew going in that I was kind of up against a wall,” Theron says. “This character was written 5’2″ and red hair. So for me it became very important right from the beginning to figure out a way to get the essence of her across.”

Dark Places producer Cathy Schulman says of Theron, “All of her performances have shown some kind of a strange combination of inner pain and absolute vulnerability.”

“I just think she has that right amount of toughness to her,” adds Gillian Flynn.

The film is set in a series of flashes back and forth in time, looking at Ben as a child, Libby’s mom and sisters, and the circumstances around the murders.

Charlize Theron recently revealed that she brought some of her won real-life experience to the role of Libby Day.

Charlize Theron spoke about the incident she used to prep for the role.

“I did experience a very traumatic experience, an event, in my life. And somehow it’s formed me. My character goes through this ordeal when she’s 8 years old, and it really is examining what trauma does to a child, especially when she’s expected to speak about it. And that’s definitely something I can relate to, that’s definitely something I’ve experienced in my life. As far as events go, they’re very similar. There’s a murder [in the film], while my situation was a very unfortunate incident with self-defense.”

When Charlize Theron was 15 years old, her mother killed her father. Her dad had fired a gun into her bedroom and threatened to kill her. He had been out drinking.

Charlize Theron has said that the incident is a part of who she is, but does not define her.

“I know that if my daughter was in the same situation, I would do the same thing [my mother did]. It’s a part of me, but it doesn’t rule my life.”

  • Charlize Theron, President Obama, and A Strip Club?

Charlize Theron, President Obama, and A Strip Club?

Charlize Theron, President Obama, and a strip club aren’t three topics one might expect to find all strung together in the same sentence–or even the same paragraph, for that matter. But they are all vert directly related to one another, per a funny story The Mad Max: Fury Road star recently shared during a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Jimmy Kimmel mentioned, while chatting with Charlize Theron, that the last time she appeared on his show, she spent some time chatting backstage with President Barack Obama.

What ensued–based upon that casual mention–is hilarious.

“Oh my god, this was terrible, Jimmy, this was terrible,” Charlize Theron behan. “I have this thing that happens when I get nervous where I get so nervous that I will say something really inappropriate. I can’t… it’s like Tourette’s in a weird way. I don’t know how to stop it, it just like verbal diarrhea.”

“I was really nervous because I was kind of hiding in the back and then somebody from his team like came to get me and ushered me over to him,” the actress continued. “He waited to meet with me and everything had stopped around his world to meet me and it was just a lot of pressure and I was really nervous.”

Theron dished about how President Obama was excited about the group of Americans he might potentially connect with as a result of his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The president was happy to reach a potentially new demographic.

“Then there was this pause and I didn’t know what to say,” Charlize Theron added. “All I could come up with was, ‘Well, if you’re looking for a different demographic, I can take you to a strip club!’ It was terrible, terrible, terrible.”

Not only was the look on Jimmy Kimmel’s face priceless, but imagining the look on President Obama’s face at that time was amusing as well.

It would be positively perfect now if Jimmy Kimmel could arrange a joint visit on his show with both President Obama and Charlize Theron. Fans or foes of both would no doubt love to know what went through President Obama’s mind when Charlize Theron made him that most unusual offer.
