  • Meghan Trainor And The ‘Peanut’ Crew Bust A Move In ‘Better When I’m Dancing’ Music Video

Kids and kids at heart, get ready to welcome back the Peanut crew together with Meghan Trainor!

Encouraging everyone to let go and be confident, Meghan Trainor’s new hit “Better When I’m Dancing” will lead the official soundtrack of the upcoming film, Peanuts Movie.

The upbeat music, which can get anyone dancing, already debuted on Apple Music last October 15th, together with its video featuring Meghan Trainor and the well-loved Peanuts characters, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder, Pig Pen, Peppermint Patty, Marci, and Franklin.

It opens with a black-and-white scene that evokes a gloomy feeling among the characters, but then as Meghan Trainor sings with the Peanuts characters, the video slowly transitions to scenes with brilliant colors and everyone dances along. It’s lively and catchy, which children will surely love, but even adults will surely love to sing and dance along to this tune as well. According to Meghan Trainor, the song is about confidence, dreaming big, and learning to have fun, which is also the theme of The Peanuts Movie.

She also said that she enjoyed joining the Peanuts gang because she has been a huge fan of the cartoon ever since she was young. She said she remembers it being a hugely popular cartoon when she was growing up.

In fact, Meghan Trainor loved the animated version of herself that was made for her in the movie that she even used it as her cell phone wallpaper.

She couldn’t contain her excitement and she shared the photo immediately on Twitter, with a caption, “SO excited to be on the @peanutsmovie soundtrack! @snoopygrams even imagined a #Peanutized me!” “Don’t touch it, it’s perfect,” Trainor said recalling the time when they sent the animated picture to her. The soundtrack will also include the likes of Flo Rida, Owl City, and the Vince Guaraldi Trio, who also created some of the music in the original Peanuts TV special and movies. The Peanuts Movie is set to be released in November.

  • Peanuts Movie Debuts Trailer-See Charlie Brown In 3D [Video]

Everyone has seen the Peanuts gang in the well-known comic strip for many years, and after many cartoon specials, there will finally be a 3D Peanuts movie. Charles Shulz wrote the original comic strip, and it continues to be a hit, with this being the comic’s fifth feature film.

The trailer for the new film should give plenty of people a feeling of nostalgia, and make people look forward to the time when we can all see everyone’s comic strip characters on the big screen again.

It might be a bit jarring for some fans to see Charlie Brown and Snoopy in 3D, but producer Paul Feig promises that everyone’s favorite characters will be brought to the big screen with their original personalities.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Feig said “Snoopy will not be rapping. No one will be twerking. We’re in good hands.” He has previously worked on the comedies The Heat and Bridesmaids.

The film will be directed by Steve Martino, who previously directed Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who and Ice Age: Continental Drift. As fans know, Charlie Brown has been seen on the big screen multiple times, although never in 3D form.

Previous feature films from the Peanuts characters include Bon Voyage Charlie Brown (And Don’t Come Back!!), which was released in 1980, and the last Peanuts film to hit theaters. That film concluded a four-movie run that followed A Boy Named Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Come Home, and Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown.

Something that should also leave fans optimistic about the film is the fact that Charles Schulz’s son, Craig Schulz, will be serving as an executive producer on the film. He said “I’m way more protective than my father would have been. Our No. 1 goal was always to be authentic to his work and legacy.”

Details surrounding the plot have not been revealed yet, other than it will feature the whole Peanuts gang together again, and a lifelong crush of Charlie Brown’s will be revealed. The old cast will also be returning for the new film.

The upcoming 3D installment in the Peanuts franchise will be be coming to theaters on Nov. 6, 2015, and will commemorate the 65th anniversary of the strip’s debut.

  • A Charlie Brown Christmas And Other Peanuts Books Will Soon Be Available As eBooks

It’s almost Christmas which means that you’ve probably watched A Charlie Brown Christmas about 20 times already. It’s a holiday classic for sure, but the book isn’t half bad either. It and a number of other Peanuts printed works will soon be available on the digital devices you’ll undoubtedly get for Christmas.

Peanuts Worldwide and Graphicly announced today that the library of Peanuts children’s books and comic strips will be available as eBooks on iBooks, Kindle, Nook, Kobo Reader, Google Play Books and other eBook retailers. Over 60 titles will be available at launch with A Charlie Brown Christmas leading the pack. Other titles include Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown and the complete Peanuts newspaper strip archives.

“For years, publishers have waited like Linus in the pumpkin patch for an integrated, simple and cost-effective way to convert, distribute and promote digital and interactive books. We are excited to partner with Peanuts Worldwide to help make the rich history of Peanuts available to readers everywhere,” said Micah Baldwin, CEO and Founder of Graphicly.

This is actually the best time for Peanuts to go digital as more and more children are starting to own tablets. The eBooks format ensures that a whole new generation of children can enjoy stories of Charlie Brown never winning at life. If that’s too heavy, kids can enjoy the simpler tales of Snoopy being an all around badass. There’s a little something for everyone which may be why Peanuts is still so endearing after all these years.
