    NeNe Leakes Gets Married…To Ex-Husband

NeNe Leakes, one of the stars of “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta”, got married on Saturday to her ex-husband, Gregg Leakes.

The couple tied the knot in–where else?–Atlanta, and the entire affair was filmed for “I Dream Of NeNe”, her spinoff show. Thought it may seem unorthodox to many, the couple’s friends and family were there for the nuptials and they received support from their teenage son, Brentt.

“I’m so happy to see my parents remarried, as a family we’ve never been happier,” Brentt told E! News.

Some of NeNe’s costars were invited to be bridesmaids, including Cynthia Bailey and featured guest star Marlo Hampton. One guest said that the actual ceremony was small, but the reception was a bit bigger, with a 10-layer cake and tons of food. NeNe apparently had her sense of humor in good working order, according to a source.

“When they did the part about ‘in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer,’ NeNe said, ‘For richer and for richer!’ Everyone started laughing,” the source reveals. “She never said poorer!”

  • Sean Parker: “Psychopaths Are Hunting Me”

Sean Parker: “Psychopaths Are Hunting Me”

Sean Parker has found himself square in the middle of a big mess–which includes death threats–and all over the creation of his dream wedding.

Parker–who, as the founder of Napster and co-founder of Facebook, has seen his share of hostile attitudes–says that since his wedding, which took place in Big Sur’s Redwood Forests, has caused him so much trouble that he and his wife have canceled their honeymoon and are instead spending their time in hiding.

The trouble began when Alexis C. Madrigal of The Atlantic wrote a story on the work Parker had done on a campground in the area just for his big day, which included building an arch, an artificial pond, and a stone bridge, among other things. The land was rented from The Ventana Inn, and Parker assumed the owners were taking care of any permits needed to build on the land. But Ventana had issues with the California Coastal Commission before Parker ever came into the picture, and they shut down construction 20 days before the wedding was set to take place due to those previous violations.

Parker, who just wanted to get things taken care of to make his wedding day go smoothly, says he paid millions to both the Commission and to fund projects in the area for underprivileged kids in order to get the ball rolling again. But after the initial story by Madrigal went live, there was no stopping the momentum and the media ran with it without asking for the full story from Parker. Subsequently, he was called nasty names by the press and accused of throwing his money around in a horrible show of excess, and environmentalists took to Facebook to threaten him for “ruining” the Redwood Forests.

“There are crazy people on Facebook typing death threats,” Parker told Paul Sloan at CNet. “There were people — eco-terrorists — on my own Facebook page saying, ‘Let’s find this guy and put him out of his misery’…Psychopaths are hunting me.”

Parker is intent on getting his side of the story heard, and wants everyone to know that there was no trashing of precious forests done on his behalf.

“Save the Redwoods League sent their chief scientist down to look at it and provide us with a plan to do this in an eco-sensitive way,” Parker said. “So much of the press accused us of eco-trashing.… We couldn’t have been more conscientious about our approach. We went out of our way to do this the right way.”

  • Melissa Gilbert: Wedding Gown Choice Unconventional

Melissa Gilbert, actress and recent contestant on “Dancing With The Stars”, tied the knot on Wednesday to fellow actor Timothy Busfield.

The couple announced their engagement in January, and as it was the third marriage for both, they went low-key for the ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in California, with Gilbert choosing a non-traditional gown for her big day. The strapless dress was done in a deep red, with several tiers of fabric for the skirt.

Gilbert and Busfield have known each other for nearly twenty years but only recently were able to pursue a romantic relationship; both of them were married over the years, Gilbert to actor Bruce Boxleitner. The pair got divorced in 2011.

“It’s been hard on the kids and that’s been hard to watch but ultimately everyone’s going to be fine,” said Gilbert of the divorce. “Everything takes time.”

The new couple have five children between them. As for the wedding gown, bridal expert Harmony Walton says color is popular these days.

“Wedding dresses no longer have to be white,” she said. “Blush and even bright pink gowns are huge runway and aisle trends and even bolder colors like black, red, yellow, and pale blue work well for the fashion-forward bride. Vera Wang just debuted a collection of wedding dresses with black and a few years back she wowed us with red, giving brides the okay to go bold on their wedding day. And celebs have taken note! Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Biel, and now Melissa Gilbert are among the recent brides to wear color. It’s a wonderful departure from the traditional wedding gown, especially if it’s not the first wedding like Melissa’s and the couple is looking for something different.”
