  • Kate Hudson On Relationship With Matthew Bellamy

    Despite going through a rough patch earlier this year, Kate Hudson and her fiance Matthew Bellamy are determined to work through their problems.

    Hudson appears on the cover of the May edition of Self magazine, and took the time to talk to the publication about her views on relationships, explaining that they are hard work.

    “Relationships are the most challenging things,” Hudson explained. “It’s where you do the most work in your life. You come face-to-face with yourself, and if you can deal with realizing we’re all flawed, accept it and work with it, you might have a really amazing, lasting relationship.”

    Hudson also explained that you have to be happy with yourself to be happy in a relationship, and happiness takes practice. “I think happiness is a practice,” Hudson continued. “But not the sort you find in self-help books, where you smile and have a vision board. You’re fooling yourself to think that’s how you’re going to find it. I love the idea of a gratitude journal, but there are times when mine turns into a venting journal. Not so grateful, just a big ol’ vent!”

    Hudson’s parents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together over thirty years, and Hudson hopes to have a relationship like theirs, even though she knows it takes a lot of work and isn’t easy. “If I look at my parents, who’ve been together thirty-something years, I’d say no matter what they’ve been through, they share similar values and really like each other,” she said. “It sounds easy, but it’s not.”

    Romantic relationships are not the only ones that are important to Hudson. She cherishes her frienships with her girlfriends as much as she does her relationships with men. “My mom once said something so poignant to me: ‘Honor your female friendships, because men can come and go, but when we nurture our relationships with women, they can be forever.’ I really believe that,” Hudson said. “My girlfriends are so important to me. They’ve been my rock-solid foundation.”

  • Valerie Trierweiler Hospitalized for Depression Due To Hollande Affair Rumors

    France’s first lady has been hospitalized following affair rumors of her partner, President Francois Hollande.

    Valerie Trierweiler, 48, has been in the hospital since Friday after reports were made that Hollande and French actress Julie Gayet were seeing each other.

    Celebrity magazine, Closer, initially published the rumors in an article, which sent the first lady into an emotional spiral. (image)

    The publication detailed how Hollande, 59, and Gayet, 41, were allegedly seen meeting with each other at a Paris flat near the presidential palace.

    According to Fox News:

    “The magazine Closer published images Friday showing a bodyguard and a helmeted man it said was Hollande visiting Julie Gayet, 41, a moderately known French actress who appeared in a clip for his 2012 presidential campaign.”

    In response, Hollande threatened to sue the magazine Friday on the bases of “breach of privacy.”

    Gayet has also attempted to file lawsuits in the past due to similar rumors. Last March, the actress set out to sue an Internet source for posting false stories about her and Hollande.

    Although Hollande has never been married, he has been in a long-term relationship with Trierweiler for some time now.

    However, their relationship has sent people into an uproar being that many view her role as first lady preposterous when in reality she is only Hollande’s girlfriend, not wife.(image)

    A political news media company, Le Pointe, conducted an online news poll on the relationship. It revealed that 89% would like to see the relationship end between the president and Trierweiler, which would make her “the first Premier Dame in history to be kicked out of the Elysee Palace.”

    Trierweiler, who is also a magazine journalist for Paris Match, is said to be suffering from depression due to all the humiliation and animosity she has received from the general public.

    She is scheduled for discharge Monday. A source says that she will then make a decision on what to do about her relationship with Hollande.

  • Catherine Zeta-Jones’s Holiday Reunion with Michael Douglas?

    Since their split in August,Michael Douglas has remained hopeful and positive about the possibility of reuniting with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. It looks like his optimism may have paid off. This past week, the couple has  reportedly been seen together a lot.On December 22,they were photographed  with their children Dylan,13, and Carys,10. The family had a New York outing, they went to lunch at an eatery in Manhattan, the Motown musical and they saw The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. 

    This isn’t the first time that the pair has been seen together since their split. They were together on November 18, which was their 13 year marriage anniversary. They used the day to  tour a private school in Westchester County, where they are considering sending Dylan. Douglas has also been seen several mornings at Zeta-Jones’s’s place to have family time with their children. 

    This was a rough year for the couple. Besides separating, Zeta-Jones was treated for her bipolar disorder in April. Then Douglas caused controversy by telling the Guardian newspaper that his throat cancer was related to HPV. He claimed it came from oral sex. He later issued a statement clarifying that his wife doesn’t have the STD nor was she the cause of his throat cancer. It was also later revealed that he didn’t even have throat cancer, but tongue cancer. To add more stress to Douglas and Zeta-Jones’s rocky year, Douglas’s son Cameron’s drug problems and prison sentence caused more of a strain  on their relationship.

    Nevertheless, things really started to turn around for the pair when Douglas mentioned Zeta-Jones in his acceptance speech, after he won an Emmy for his portrayal of Liberace in Behind the Candelabra.  Their possible reconciliation isn’t a complete surprise, because, in several interviews,Douglas has mentioned he hoped things would work out soon for the couple.

    The pair seems to be putting the needs of their children above anything else, that’s refreshing to see in a Hollywood couple.

    Vanessa Paradis Dating Benjamin Biolay

    French model, actress, and singer Vanessa Paradis has been well-known in France for some time now. She first hit it big with her single, “Joe le taxi,” which was released when Paradis was just 14. In 1998, Paradis had the fortune of meeting the rising American actor and future icon, Johnny Depp. The two would marry that same year and eventually split in 2012 after having two children together.

    News reports from the NY Post’s Page Six have revealed that Paradis has since moved on from her break-up with Johnny Depp and is now seeing French singer Benjamin Biolay. Rumors had flooded the internet about the couple’s apparent love interest for quite some time, and the couple was finally caught together earlier this month during a vacation to Corsica.

    Witnesses on the island stated that the two seemed to be absorbed into one another and tried to keep to themselves: “They clearly wanted to be alone. They spent all their time at the hotel, moving only with three bodyguards and in a car with heavily tinted windows.”

    Biolay is not a big-name here in the United States, but he is fairly well-known in France as a singer/songwriter and producer. In 2010, Biolay was rumored to be having an affair with Carla Bruni, the wife of then French president Nicolas Sarkozy. The news of this alleged affair blew up in the French media, leading Biolay to file a lawsuit against French news channel France 24 for violation of privacy and damage to his personal image.

    Earlier this year, Biolay released a new album which featured the song “Enjoy”, a duet with Paradis.

    Much like Paradis, Depp has also moved on to a new relationship. Depp is now dating his Rum Diaries co-star, Amber Heard. Depp is so infatuated with his new lover, in fact, that he purchased her a pair of $50,000 earrings this summer as a token of his appreciation.

    Despite his new love interest, Depp still has nothing but good feelings for his former wife, stating, “Relationships are very difficult. Especially in the racket that I’m in because you’re constantly away or they’re away and so it’s hard. It wasn’t easy on her. It wasn’t easy on me. It wasn’t easy on the kids .?.?. [But] it doesn’t stop the fact that you care for that person, and they’re the mother of your kids .?.?. and you’re always gonna be in each other’s lives because of those kids.”
