Cee Lo Green and Longtime Girlfriend Shani James Engaged–for A While Now

Cee Lo Green and his longtime girlfriend Shani James are engaged. While working on his upcoming music video, “Work,” he dished about his proposal to People magazine.

“It was just a typical night at the studio, but then again, not so typical cause I did something extra special, out of the ordinary,” he said.

“I went and purchased a ring that we had seen together, maybe four or five months or so prior. I went back and purchased the ring and I just kind of had it stashed away in some old equipment. And I said, ‘Will you reach in there and grab something for me?” he explained.

Cee Lo Green had the ring strategically hidden in a most creative way.

“It was the most beautiful diamond ring I had ever seen in my life. It was lit up by a light,” Shani James said. “I said, ‘What is that?’ He just looked at me and said, ‘Well…?’ And I was just like ‘Oh my goodness.’”

“I said, ‘Babe, I can’t believe it.’ He said, ‘You’ve been such a good woman. You’re such and amazing person. You’re my life partner. You’re my best friend. I want to share the rest of my life with you,’” she added.

Here’s the funny part of the engagement. Cee Lo Green and Shani James got engaged a year ago. Both fiercely protective of their private lives, they didn’t share the news with anyone other than family members and very close friends at the time.

“Truth be told, it’s not something we wanted to promote ,” Cee Lo said. “We’re a collective power together because our private life is sacred. But you know what though, maybe it’s time. Maybe it is time for the world to know that I have a very secure situation and a loving woman supporting me the entire way.”

This will be a second marriage for Cee Lo Green. He was married before to Christina Johnson. A former coach on The Voice, he believes he has found the perfect woman this time around.

“I appreciate her openness and willingness to love unconditionally ,” he says. “She’s been so sweet to me through a number of different trials that come to test the resilience of a union to deem whether it’s worthy or not, whether it’s durable or strong enough.”

Congratulations–a year late–are certainly in order for Cee Lo Green and Shani James. Fans can check out Cee Lo Green’s upcoming music video, “Work,” when it premieres on November 9th.

  • Joan Jett to Play Music Festival in Place of CeeLo Green

With less than one month to go before the Gretna Heritage Festival, the event’s lineup has just undergone a significant shift. The music festival, a three-day event that will take place in New Orleans on the bank of the Mississippi River, was set to feature acts such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gregg Allman Band, and CeeLo Green. Now, CeeLo Green has been cut from the lineup and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will be taking his place.

The festival announced Friday that Green was given the boot because he “does not represent the festival’s wholesome family environment.” On August 29 Green pleaded no contest to a felony drug charge and received three years probation. The charge stemmed from an incident in which Green allegedly slipped MDMA (ecstasy) into a woman’s drink.

Green exacerbated the situation last week with a series of tweets about the incident. The tweets included insensitive remarks such as, “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!” Green later deleted the tweets and issued an apology, saying his comments “were idiotic, untrue, and not what I believe.”

Green was also dropped from the lineup of an upcoming Freedom Live concert at a Washington D.C. military base following the tweets. The 39 year old singer’s reality show The Good Life was cancelled last week by TBS.

Replacing Green at the Gretna Heritage Festival will be rock legend Joan Jett. Jett last made headlines one year ago when her vegetarianism caused a stir among the citizens of South Dakota. She also joined the remaining members of Nirvana on-stage in April when the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

  • Cee Lo Green Infuriates Fans With Rape Tweets; His Reality Show Gets Canceled

Singer Cee Lo Green faced the anger of fans recently over tweets he allegedly posted on Sunday about rape. The singer has since deleted the reportedly inflammatory tweets, but not before some screen captures were made by Twitter users.

Green apologized for the deleted tweets on Tuesday, posting, “I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter. Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe.”

According to screen captures made of Green’s Twitter page, the singer posted the following: “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!”

He further tweeted, “If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent.”

Green’s tweets were believed to be referencing a recent felony court case to which he pleaded no contest on Friday. Green allegedly spiked his female date’s drink with MDMA in 2012, after which she supposedly woke up naked in his hotel room with no memory of the night before.

Fans reportedly attacked Green online after he posted his tweets that were apparently commenting on the case. He also deleted his Twitter account temporarily, but supposedly revived it again to issue the apology.

Meanwhile, Green’s reality TV series The Good Life was also recently canceled by TBS. The show documents the singer’s reunion with former group Goodie Mob and their collaboration on a new album. It completed the run of its first season with six episodes, but was canceled due to low ratings, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The cancelation of the show coincided with a petition started by the anti-sexism group Ultraviolet to get the series canceled. However, it isn’t clear whether TBS was influenced by the petition or the controversy surrounding Green when they made the decision to cut The Good Life.

  • Cee Lo Green’s Israel Concert Gets Canceled By Promoter

Musical entertainer and former The Voice judge Cee Lo Green is canceling his August 19 show in Jerusalem, Israel, because of the unresolved conflict between Israel and Hamas. The news was announced on Monday, August 4 by the show’s promoters, 2b Vibes.

Carmi Whurtman of 2b Vibes says that the decision was the promoter’s and not Green’s, citing that one of the reasons they canceled was because of a restriction by Israel Defense Forces that public gatherings be limited to 1,000 people only. This poses a problem for promoters needing to sell as many tickets as possible in order to cover costs and make a profit.

“The artist and his crew really wanted to come, but unfortunately we were the ones who had to postpone it because this is not the right time to advertise and push a concert,” said Whurtman. The promoter hopes that they can postpone Green’s concert in Jerusalem to October or November, and that the political conflict will be resolved long before then.

Currently, there is a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, but promoters aren’t confident that they can guarantee a peaceful and orderly event for the artists they bring into the country and the people who want to see the shows.

Other artists that have canceled shows like Green’s in Israel include Neil Young, who was set to make his first appearance in the country in two decades, and thrash metal group Megadeth, which was set to play on August 6 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The band reportedly had to cancel due to the fact that they couldn’t “confirm the guaranteed passage of the band and their gear into Tel Aviv in time for the show.”

  • Cee Lo Green Originally Recorded ‘Happy,’ Pharrell Williams Shares The Details

Cee Lo Green originally recorded Pharrell Williams’ hit single “Happy.” Sound surprising? Well, its actually not.

It happens more times than not. One singer may write and/or record a cover version only to have it placed and released by another artist. However, what is surprising is that Green and his executive production team actually turned the song down!

According to Press Association, Williams recently shared details about the ever-popular, Academy Award-nominated record. On Tuesday, April 29, Williams spoke about the record during an interview on Sirius XM with Howard Stern.

When Stern asked if Williams had ever considered placing the song with another artist, he opened up about the history of the famous record. Williams revealed that it was intended for Cee Lo Green.

“[Cee Lo Green] wanted to do it… and he did do it,” said Williams, who also penned and produced Robin Thicke’s 2013 hit single, “Blurred Lines”. “But… how do I say this diplomatically? The powers that be, at the time, did not see it fit for him,” he said of Green’s decision not to take the song.

“He wanted to do it. Some folks on his team just felt that the priority should be on [his] album at the time, so they elected not to do that song,” the Grammy Award-winning producer added. “He was one of the most gracious people about it when [Happy] came out he congratulated me. It’s not his fault – he was totally down with it. He sounded amazing on it, he burns my version!”

Its quite easy to see why Williams had chosen that particular song as a suitable record for Green. Back in 2006, Green released a popular record entitled “Smiley Faces” with famed producer, Danger Mouse. The song, which is quite similar to “Happy,” was released as the second single on Gnarls Barkley’s debut album, St. Elsewhere. The highly lauded, platinum-selling album received five Grammy nominations.

The song’s eclectic, “mockumentary-style” music video brought the record to life. The video, which was based in the 1920s and 30s insinuated that Gnarls Barkley had been around since the beginning of time, serving as pioneers of sound and music. The “Smiley Faces” video went on to win the 2007 MTV Video Music Award for Best Editing.

  • Gwen Stefani to Replace Aguilera on ‘The Voice’

According to Us Weekly, Gwen Stefani will have her own big red chair on NBC’s The Voice for the seventh season, replacing pregnant Christina Aguilera.

No worries Christina fans – this is only a one-off gig. She’s expected to be back after she has her little one and has already signed on for Season Eight.

According to TMZ, producers began searching for Aguilera’s replacement after the Your Body singer announced her pregnancy back in February.

Apparently the network wanted Aguilera to stay on during her pregnancy, but the Fighter singer is reported to be “struggling” and decided to take a break from this rotation in the coach’s seat.

Pharrell Williams is slated to take over the big red chair for Cee Lo Green, and it looks like the bromance between coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will continue as they are expected to return.

Stefani and Williams are used to working together so it’s not much of a stretch for them.

Last week, Stefani appeared onstage during Pharrell‘s set at Coachella to sing her hit Hollaback Girl, which they co-wrote nearly 10 years ago. Stefani was also featured on Pharrell’s 2005 first solo single, Can I Have It Like That.

The Voice is just about to begin live rounds for Season 6 and airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

  • Cee Lo Green Annouces Departure From ‘The Voice,’ Explains Why

Cee Lo Green has made it clear that he won’t be returning for another season of The Voice.

On Wednesday, Feb. 19, the Grammy Award-winning singer stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he made the official announcement regarding his decision to leave NBC’s hit singing competition series.

The “F*** You” singer, who is also one half of the group Gnarls Barkley, clearly stated that he has no future plans of returning to the show “at all.” He told DeGeneres that he didn’t want to “wear out his welcome.”

However, Green did state that he does have plans to continue working with the network. The 39-year-old singer-songwriter shared that he currently has a development deal with NBC for a television show. Green also shared his aspirations of some talk show opportunities in the works as well.

“I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year,” the “Crazy” singer told Ellen DeGeneres. “But yeah, I’m going to miss The Voice, too. I’m not coming back, guys.”

    (image)

A shocked DeGeneres inquired further about Green’s statement for more clarity. “Oh, you’re not coming back at all?” she asked. So, he gave the comedian-talk show host a concise answer. He also revealed that wrapping up his next album is one of his main focuses.

“I’m not coming back at all,” said Green. “I just don’t want to wear out my welcome there, you know what I’m saying? I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album.”

“We’ll appreciate the music but we’ll miss you on The Voice,” DeGeneres told Green. “I had no idea. I just thought you were taking a leave. But you’re going to be amazing at anything you do.”

“I didn’t mean to drop the bomb today,” Green said.

However, Cee Lo Green will be joining legendary Commodores’ singer Lionel Richie on tour later this year. The tour, which currently has 35 scheduled concerts, will kick off on May 29, 2014 in Vancouver and wrap up on August 2, 2014 in Bethel, NY.

  • Cee Lo Green Will Not Be Returning to The Voice

He didn’t mean to, but Cee Lo Green dropped a bomb today on The Ellen Degeneres show. The Voice coach will not be returning to the hit reality television show. “I’m going to miss The Voice, too. I’m not coming back, guys.” He added, “I just don’t want to wear out my welcome there, you know what I’m saying? I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album.”

Everyone, including Ellen, was shocked by the news. The 39 year old Gnarles Barkley singer took Season 4 off and returned for Season 5. Green also planned to take off for the upcoming Season 6 with Usher and Shakira coming in as replacement coaches. But everyone thought that Green would return for a Season 7, however, now it appears that he has other plans, including going on tour with Lionel Richie.

Green released a statement today confirming the news he spilled on Ellen. “The Voice has been an immensely enjoyable experience for me and I can only hope I have enriched the lives of our viewers, the contestants, and the many friends I made there. I will always be there in spirit. Meanwhile, NBC and I plan to continue our relationship with several new co-ventures including a new music show, while we also explore our ideas for me to create and host a new show of my own.” He added, “Thanks for the memories and make way for many more!”

The Voice will return after The Olympics on Monday, February 24 at 8/7 c. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will join Shakira and Usher on the coaching panel for Season 6. Green will exit the show never having coached a winning singer.

  • Cee Lo Green Leaving The Voice For Good

Cee Lo Green’s career has been an interesting one to say the least.

For one, he had instant success with his 90s group The Goodie Mob, when they released their now classic album Soul Food.

And after that Green had an impressive run as a solo artist in the early thousands, but that part of his career didn’t peak until he made the song “Forget You” with Bruno Mars. And scoring a prime time TV gig with The Voice didn’t hurt him either.

So it’ll be interesting to see where his career goes from here, because Green just announced that he’s leaving The Voice once and for all, and he has no plans of returning, he said.

“I’m not coming back guys,” said Green, when he sat down with Ellen DeGeneres recently.

But the Atlanta native says that he won’t be leaving the TV world for good, because he has some projects that are currently in development. “I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC,” he explained. “I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year, but yeah, I’m going to miss The Voice too.”

Green, along with Christina Aguilera, have left the show before, only to be temporarily replaced by R&B singer Usher and pop artist Shakira. But this time Green will be gone for good, although there has been no word yet if Aguilera plans to return or not.

There’s a good chance that Green wants to focus more on his singing career, as he’s developed a huge Las Vegas show that’s done pretty well and he just announced that he and Brian Burton–also known as Danger Mouse–will be re-establishing Gnarls Barkley, which is the group who created the 2006 hit “Crazy.”

Plus, Green says that he doesn’t want people to get sick of seeing him on television. “I don’t want to wear out my welcome there,” he said.

  • Christina Aguilera Spotted Makeup Free

    Christina Aguilera Spotted Makeup Free

Christina Aguilera was all dolled up for the Peoples Choice Awards on Wednesday, but was seen earlier that day sans any makeup at all. The Voice coach and longtime boyfriend Matt Rutler were spotted out and about in L.A. and Aguilera wore no makeup–sporting a fresh faced look that was natural and pretty. Christina previously recorded her appearance at the Peoples Choice Awards, and in it she made reference to her recent weight loss, which looks pretty spectacular, too.

Even without makeup Aguilera has a beautiful complexion. She hid behind big sunglasses and wore a beanie in an effort to hide her identity, but there’s no mistaking the 33-year-old singer. Even though she keeps a low profile on the streets of L.A., she’s had no problem showing off her new svelte body on The Voice. Her weight loss has certainly upped her confidence and she has shown off that new confidence lately in a number of racy outfits.

Christina Aguilera will skip the upcoming season of The Voice, giving Shakira yet another season to fill her spot. Usher will once again fill in for Cee Lo Green. Both Christina and Cee Lo will return for the following season. On this past season of The Voice, Christina showed off both her fit form and her singing voice in a duet with Lady Gaga.

Do you prefer Christina Aguilera with or without her makeup? One look at her newly defined body and a good listen to those healthy vocal cords and no one will care whether she’s wearing makeup or not!

  • The Voice: Will Adam Levine Win?

The Voice: Will Adam Levine Win?

The Voice has been dominated by Adam Levine’s team for the past two weeks. This week saw the Maroon 5 front man reign supreme for the third week in a row, when all three of his team members were moved along to next week’s competition. Is it possible that Blake Shelton won’t win this season of The Voice?

On Tuesday night, Tessanne Chin, Will Champlin and James Wolpert–all from Team Adam–were saved and moved on to next week’s competition. Jacquie Lee from Team Christina and Cole Vosbury from Team Blake were saved as well. That left Cee Lo Green’s only remaining contestant, Caroline Pennell, in the bottom three, along with Team Christina’s Matthew Schuler and Team Blake’s Ray Boudreaux. After yet another questionable Twitter save, Matthew Schuler was spared, and Caroline and Ray were sent home.

This means Cee Lo Green is out of the game. He knew that might be coming, and mentioned before Caroline Pennell was sent home that he was used to being the underdog.

“Don’t worry about me because I’m always affectionately the underdog,” he told Carson Daly. “It’s all good with me.”

Blake Shelton has one contestant left in the competition and Christina Aguilera has two. It’s uncertain if Adam Levine is happier about the possibility of winning or the possibility of Blake Shelton losing. Either way, Levine is looking pretty happy these days, as it’s the best season he’s had yet on The Voice.

Twitter followers seem sure that Team Adam will win this season of The Voice.

How might Blake Shelton fare if he doesn’t win his fourth season of The Voice? He will certainly never hear the end of it if he loses to Adam Levine, and the chances of that happening are looking better all the time.

  • “The Voice” Reveals Top 12 Contestants

“The Voice” Reveals Top 12 Contestants

We are down to the final 12 contestants on this season of “The Voice”. On Monday and Tuesday night, each contestant gave it their all during the live rounds, leaving the viewers to vote for the contestants they wanted to stay. On last night’s show, the top 12 were announced, shocking many of the viewers as their favorites were sent home.

The viewers voted for their top two on each team, and then each coach had to pick one, of the remaining three, to stay on their team. It was not an easy decision for any of the coaches. Before the results were announced, each team performed together, in a last ditch effort to impress their coaches.

First to hear their results were Team Blake. His team performed the song “Free Ride”. Then it was time for Blake to find out who would be his final team members. Viewers voted to keep Austin Jenckes and Cole Vosbury. Blake had to choose one to stay from the three remaining, Nic Hawk, Shelbie Z, and Ray Bourdreaux. “There’s no science to this,” Shelton explained. “The only thing I can really do is make a call based on my gut and the person I think I can affect change with the most.” After contemplating his decision, he went with Bourdreaux, sending Nik and Shelbie home.

    http://youtu.be/RB2gNsHPkA8

Team Cee Lo took the stage next, performing “Give a Little Bit”. Caroline Pennell and Jonny Gray were saved by the viewers, leaving Kat Robichaud, Amber Nicole, and Tamara Chaunice awaiting their futures. “I love you all in your own equally incomparable way,” he told the girls. “This is just one milestone achievement. Let this be the beginning of a wonderful journey to wherever your music and your heart takes you.” In the end, he decided to go with the fierce performer, Robichaud.

Next in line was Team Christina who performed “Love Somebody”, before finding out which of their team members would be leaving the show. Jacquie Lee and Matthew Schuler breathed a sigh of relief when they found out the viewers had saved them. Josh Logan, Stephanie Ann Johnson, and Olivia Henken stood on the stage, their fates in Christina’s hands, awaiting her decision. After a long explanation and promising to stay in touch with each of them, she chose to keep Logan, sending Johnson and Henken packing. “I have to go where my heart is invested right now, and where I’m interested to go,” she said.

Finally, it was time to for Team Adam, who performed “Safe and Sound”. James Wolpert and Tessanne Chin, were saved by the viewers, leaving a tough decision for Adam, as he had to decide between Will Champlin, Preston Pohl, and Grey. “No matter how you dice this, this is horrible,” he said. “This is going to be maybe surprising, I don’t know. Moving forward I have to choose the person I think I have the most potential with, and that person is Will.”

  • Olivia Henken Beats Teammate on “The Voice”

Olivia Henken Beats Teammate on “The Voice”

Louisville, KY native, Olivia Henken put on quite a show last night on “The Voice” and beat out her teammate, Stephanie Anne Johnson.

Olivia out sang Stephanie in an epic battle where they both did their rendition of “The Band Perry’s” hit song “Done”. The coaches were torn on who won the battle, with coaches Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green giving the win to Stephanie, and coach Blake Shelton cheering on country girl, Olivia. Ultimately, it was their coach, Christina Aguilera’s decision, and she chose Olivia as the overall winner.

Despite losing the round, Stephanie did not end up leaving the show. Cee Lo Green had one save left, and lucky for Stephanie, he stole her from team Xtina. “She’s remarkably talented. I’m looking forward to seeing what she can do in the future,” Green said.

Henken has already made success for herself in the music industry. According to her website, she has headlined Thunder Over Louisville the past 4 years performing for over 22,000+ people. She has also opened up for country singers, Kip Moore, Charlie Daniels, Dustin Lynch, Chuck Wicks and Jason Jones. She has been busy promoting her debut album, recorded in Nashville Tennessee, “The Ride”.

However, despite her current and past success, she remains humble and is just doing what she loves to do.

“This Kentucky native is proud to say she cannot wait to share her god-given talent with the world. She is honored to have such wonderful opportunities come her way and at such a young age,” according to her website. “Through belting out ballads and rocking out each and every show, Olivia has what it takes to entertain all ages. Olivia knows it is her fans who keep her going and seeing a smile on one persons face, makes every show worthwhile. It is important to her that everyone is having as much fun as she is.”

  • Cee Lo Green Charged with Felony

Cee Lo Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, was charged today with a felony count of furnishing a controlled substance according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Good Morning America reports that Green pleaded not guilty to the charge. If convicted, he could face 4 years in prison.

“The Voice” star, Green, “allegedly slipped ecstacy to a 33-year-old female while the two were dining at a downtown Los Angeles restaurant sometime between July 13 and July 14, 2012,” the DA’s office said in a statement. Green, 39, and the woman later went back to her hotel, the statement added, but prosecutors declined to file a charge of rape, “citing insufficient evidence.” Surprisingly, the woman had previously accused Green of spiking her drink.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFlZSkkx6eQ

Green had been in good spirits before he was charged today. In an interview with ABC News Radio, he said he was flattered that so many fans were rooting for the singer to win this season on “The Voice,” a reality singing competition where Cee Lo Green is a celebrity coach and mentor to young talent. Other celebrity coaches on the show include Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Christina Aguilera.

“So many people are rooting for me to win. I hear it from everybody, ‘It’s your year!’” he said. “You know, even the guy at the gas station, I’m like, ‘Give me 50 on two,’ and he’s like, ‘Here ya go, also it’s your year!’ So many people are married to this show, so it’s great.”

NBC has so far declined to comment about his future with the show in light of the case.

According to CNN, Green’s attorney Blair Berk issued a statement Monday afternoon saying she and Green were pleased with the prosecutor’s conclusion “that the evidence did not support the false and unfounded claims made over a year ago.”

“Mr. Green encouraged a full and complete investigation of those claims and he was confident once conducted he would be cleared of having any wrongful intent and it would be established that any relations were consensual. CeeLo had faith that if the true facts were known the district attorney would reject those charges.”

Green “will responsibly address” the drug charge in court, Berk said.

  • Cee Lo: Cockatoo Came To Him “In A Fantasy”

Cee Lo: Cockatoo Came To Him “In A Fantasy”

Cee Lo has a new pet to accompany him on the new season of The Voice, and she’s already getting more attention than the show itself.

Last season, the quirky crooner had a white cat in his lap, which wasn’t his pet, but rather a trained animal loaned out to him. The newest member of The Voice is much more fabulous, however: a pink cockatoo named Lady. She sits on his shoulder and “whispers inappropriate things”, according to Cee Lo. But he insists she’s always ladylike.

Of course, when asked why Cee Lo felt he had to replace the cat–named Purrfect, by the way–he gave a very clear, very succinct answer.

“I met her flying around in a fantasy of mine,” he told People. “She was wild and free just as I’d like to be! Birds of a feather we are.”

As one might imagine, people have a lot to say about the matter, and are taking to Twitter to voice their opinions.

  • Cee Lo Green’s Cat Does Meow Mix Remix For Del Monte

Gaining some notoriety for holding his white persian cat a la a Bond villain on The Voice, Cee Lo Green and his cat were offered to do a remix of Del Monte’s annoying “Meow Mix” commercial.

The track features his well-known cat Purrfect, who he rescued this year and has brought in to The Voice studio to do a number of segments.

“Purrfect was thrilled to hear about this new deal with Meow Mix cat food,” Green said in a statement. “That sultry purr of hers is perfect for a modernized remix of the iconic Meow Mix jingle. Watch out cats!”

The track in available on MeowMix.com as a download or a ringtone, or you can listen to the streaming audio via soundcloud here. I admit that the beat and back-up singers make this version a little more tolerable.

“This is truly the ‘perfect’ opportunity to introduce the Meow Mix cat food jingle to a whole new audience of pet lovers,” said Sue Resnicoff, Director of Cat Food Marketing, Del Monte Foods, in a statement. “We’re so thrilled CeeLo and Purrfect the Cat were up for the job of remixing this classic and memorable jingle.”

The entire track is obviously comprised of humans making a “meow” noise, so I’m not exactly sure where Purrfect actually came into the picture. But it is pretty smart viral-ish marketing campaign for Del Monte.

  • Cee Lo Green Performs “F*** You” At Obama Fundraising Event In Atlanta

Singer Cee Lo Green appeared at a fundraising event for President Obama in Atlanta, and sang his hit song “F*** You”, otherwise known buy its edited-for-radio title “Forget You”. The star decided to sing the dirty version, at least at first, and flip off the crowd. Some have decided this was inappropriate for such an event, but what do you expect when your entertainment has a hit single called “F*** You”?

The performance itself, is strangely missing from YouTube, but here’s FOX News talking about it, with a clip:

Some other segments of Cee Lo’s performance are still available on YouTube.

Here he is performing Billie Jean…I mean “It’s Alight”:

And the hit Gnarls Barkley song “Crazy”:

    And “Fool For You”:

At least the president didn’t come out and sing “F*** You” himself, as he has developed a reputation as a singer of late. He did, however, reportedly say, “Whoah. Got some ‘Luda’ on there?” when someone’s phone interrupted him with a Ludacris ringtone.
