  • Casey Anthony: Will America Ever Stop Hating Her?

    Casey Anthony.

The name alone makes mothers grimace and your average bystander shake his head.

Those who consider themselves “freethinkers” or faithful to the interpretation of American laws will say the reactions to Anthony are unfair for one reason or another.

Regardless of what such persons say, the fact remains….people hate this woman.

Anthony has been a public eyesore since she was acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges by a Florida jury on July 5th, 2011.

The death of Anthony’s 2-year-old daughter Caylee had been blamed on the young mother by members of the public and pundits in the press in the lead up to the verdict.

It only served to raise expectations she’d be found guilty.

The outcome stunned the public, which continues to assume that the opinion of citizens and the opinion of juries will link up in major cases.

Somehow, the fact that these individuals are isolated on purpose continues to be lost on many Americans.

What Casey Anthony’s jury believed to be true about Anthony did not at all mesh with what the public felt, and felt very strongly.

In the immediate aftermath of the verdict, members of the public took to social media to voice their outrage.

The public outcry was intense for weeks, possibly even months, after the case was over.

In the years since the trial, the level of anger about the Casey Anthony ruling cooled from red hot indignation to lukewarm disgust. This is likely because the public has since moved on to new injustices and controversies.

Even so, the negative impression towards Anthony has never gone away.

As Casey Anthony’s name continues to pop up in the headlines periodically, one has to ask: Will the public ever stop hating this woman?

With the continued negative reaction to her name alone, it seems easy to suggest the answer will be, “Probably not.”

Anthony simply does not seem capable of presenting herself as a sympathetic character or genuinely interested in doing so.

At no point does she appear to be a grieving mother.

If anything, it seems she’s far more ready to capitalize on her infamy than demonstrate that she loved her deceased toddler.

This interpretation of Anthony has made her a person that, despite being found not guilty in a court of law, is hard to stomach by many who see all the indications that she’s a woman who knows she got away with murder. So long as there’s nothing in her behavior which represents a wrongfully maligned mother, it’s unlikely many will see her as such.

What do YOU think Casey Anthony would have to do to get people to stop hating her? Is such a thing possible? Comment below!

  • Casey Anthony Mobbed by Media Circus

Casey Anthony Mobbed by Media Circus

Casey Anthony, the woman acquitted of the murder of her daughter, Caylee Anthony, in 2011, today arrived at a federal courthouse in Florida to attend a bankruptcy hearing. As soon as she stepped from her car, she was swarmed by cameramen and microphones. Anthony wore large sunglasses and was escorted through the paparazzi by her lawyer, Cheney Mason.

One extremely confrontational reporter can be heard saying, “Did you get away with murder Casey?” and ” Do you think you’d be better off if you pay a price?”

Anthony was arriving at the courthouse for a bankruptcy hearing. She claims debts of almost $800,000, and recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. During the hearing, Anthony is expected to be questioned by a bankruptcy trustee and her creditors about her finances. She will also be asked questions about how she has been supporting herself in the past months.

Reports hold that Anthony has not held a job since the murder trial in 2011. During that time she has secluded herself in hiding, only occasionally being glimpsed in online videos. Today was the first time since the trial that she has appeared in public.

  • Casey Anthony Bankruptcy Hearing Being Held Today

Casey Anthony, the woman famously acquitted of the murder of her daughter, Caylee Anthony, is back in a Florida courtroom, this time to face a bankruptcy case. Anthony has been in hiding since the end of the trial, appearing only occasionally in videos posted online.

Anthony’s debts stem from the 2011 murder trial and fines levied against her for lying to police about the whereabouts of her daughter. She recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, claiming she is almost $800,000 in debt.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that during today’s bankruptcy hearing Anthony will answer questions from a bankruptcy trustee and her creditors about her finances.

Anthony has been unemployed since the end of the murder trial in July 2011. Part of today’s questioning will concern who has been supporting her since that time. Also, rumors of a book deal for Anthony’s story could play into the hearing, an if true could prevent her from being declared bankrupt.

Cameras will not be allowed in the Federal Courthouse where the bankruptcy hearing is being held.

  • Casey Anthony Comes Out Of Hiding

Casey Anthony’s name and face have become synonymous with tragedy, outrage, and one of the most infamous trials of our generation. Since she was acquitted of the murder of her daughter Caylee’s murder, Casey has been in hiding somewhere in Florida and has only appeared every so often in homemade videos, which she posts herself online.

Anthony allegedly came out in public recently, however, and the news is sensational to those who have followed her story. As one of the most famous faces of our time, it’s been presumed she would have a hard time leaving the confines of her home without drawing massive attention to herself. But someone appears to have spotted her at a restaurant in Lake Worth, Florida, and snapped a picture of her as she dined with two male companions.

The 26-year old has had to keep a low profile because of the extreme backlash that occurred when she was acquitted; many believed, and still believe, that she either killed her young daughter or helped cover it up. She’s also been in hiding since two lawsuits were filed against her: one by a woman who was named during Casey’s testimony as a negligent babysitter but turned out not to have any ties with the Anthony family at all, and one by a woman who said she was bullied and threatened by Casey and feared for her life. That suit was ultimately thrown out by the judge.

While the photo is blurry and isn’t definitive, the media have jumped all over it and are wondering–if it is indeed her–when she’ll make her next move out in public.
