  • Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther: Pregnant Woman Who Mysteriously Disappeared Before C-Section, Found Monday, Has Lost Baby

The Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther mystery continues to deepen. The 49-year-old pregnant woman from North Carolina disappeared last week, about an hour before she was scheduled to check into a hospital for a scheduled C-section. Found alive on Monday, word has now emerged that she lost her baby.

Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther apparently left on her own. No foul play was involved in her disappearance. So why did this woman take off prior to her scheduled C-section? An undisclosed medical condition made it necessary for her to have one. Not doing so could have cost both her life and her baby’s.

Bradshaw-Crowther’s brother, Drew Bradshaw, spoke with WSOC TV in North Carolina on Tuesday. It was during his interview that the media learned Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther’s unborn child died.

“Carrie is presently hospitalized and is receiving much needed medical care, while it is unfortunate we no longer expect a new addition to our family and ask for your continued prayers,” he said.

When asked what happened to Bradshaw-Crowther’s baby, Drew Bradshaw remained mum.

In a statement on his Facebook page he posted, “We feel that releasing any more information should be in Carrie’s discretion after she has the opportunity to heal.”

Speculation is now running rampant, as people wonder what happened to Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther’s unborn baby.

  • Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther: 49-Year-Old Pregnant Woman Vanished Hour Before Scheduled C-Section, Found Monday

Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther was ready to leave for her scheduled C-section In North Carolina last Tuesday. Her daughter Lauren Lusk left her to get gas before driving her mom to the hospital. When she returned from the gas station, the 49-year old pregnant woman was gone.

“When I got back, she was gone. The lights in the house were off, the door was unlocked,” she said.

Lusk, who is 26, told NBC News she spent the weekend with her mother, helping her prepare for the impending birth.

Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther’s car was gone. Lauren Lusk checked local hospitals, just in case her mother decided she couldn’t make the 40 minute drive to Charlotte, where she was scheduled to undergo the C-section.

The pregnancy was high risk, and Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther’s medical condition mandated the baby be born via a C-section instead of a vaginal birth.

“She seemed nervous obviously, but more towards the end of the pregnancy, she started getting happier about it. The last few weeks, she was really excited,” Lauren Lusk said.

When she left for the gas station Tuesday morning, Carrie Bradshaw-Browther was still wearing her pajamas. She had curlers in her hair. Her makeup and purse were in the house after she vanished, but both her wallet and cellphone were missing.

“It’s not like her,” Lusk said. “She likes to keep up her appearance.”

Nearly a week passed since Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther went missing. On Monday she was located in Boone, North Carolina–about 80 miles away from her home. She apparently left of her own free will and is said to be in good condition.

“I am Carrie,” she reportedly said when the county police pulled up along side her van, according to Watauga County police.

Police were taking Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther to a nearby medical facility for an evaluation.

What do you suppose made this 49-year-old pregnant woman leave just an hour prior to her scheduled C-section?

It certainly sounds as though there are some emotional–if not mental–issues at play.

Fortunately for all involved, she was found safely and is in good condition. Her family members likely feared a much worse ending to this bizarre scenario.

  • Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther, Missing Pregnant Woman, Found

Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther, a pregnant woman who was due to have a planned C-section last Tuesday, went missing last week, and North Carolina officials were stumped as to her whereabouts. Now, she’s been found safe, but a mystery still surrounds her and the events that have transpired since then.

Lauren Lusk, Bradshaw-Crowther’s daughter, told police she went to a local gas station to fill up the car before she was to drive her mom to the hospital for the procedure. When she returned about 10 minutes later, she says, her mother was nowhere to be found and her car was missing from the driveway. However, some of her personal items were left at home, and her family says she wouldn’t have gone off and left them.

“When I got back, she was gone. The lights in the house were off, the door was unlocked,” Lusk said.

After Bradshaw-Crowther’s husband checked the local hospitals and found that she hadn’t checked in to any of them, police were notified. Because of a medical condition, she couldn’t give birth naturally, so her family was extremely worried about her condition.

“She cannot give natural birth, and that’s why our family is so worried. Because if she does go into labor she won’t make it,” Lusk told WSOC.

Carrie was found on Monday, however, after using her ATM card at a CVS in a North Carolina town. Strangely, police said that when she disappeared, she was driving a 2001 Mazda MVP minivan with expired Kansas license plates. But today, the minivan had a North Carolina license plate on it. Investigators have not released information about the baby or Carrie’s condition.

Details are scarce at the moment as investigators try to piece together what happened, but they did say that it appears she left home on her own and may have spent at least one night in a hotel near where she was found.
