  • Julianne Hough Talks Trouble With “Grease: Live” Line Just Days Ahead of Premiere

Julianne Hough stars in the upcoming Grease: Live, set to air on Sunday evening on Fox. She plays the part of Sandy, the iconic role made famous by Olivia Newton-John in the original film.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly on Thursday, the Dancing With the Stars alum talked about the trouble she’s having with one line in the production–not because she can’t memorize it, but because it touches at the core of who Julianne Hough truly is.

“It’s a line that I should be able to deliver because it’s so me,” Hough said.

Julianne Hough delivers the line while the main cast is inside the diner.

Hough–as Sandy–says, “Who wants to watch a bunch of amateurs in a dance contest on live TV?”

The line references the school dance being filmed on national TV, as is shown later in the show. It was added solely for Julianne Hough because of her past with Dancing With the Stars.

“I mess it up every time,” she says.

“The diner scene is the death of me for sure,” she adds.

Early photos released of Julianne Hough in character as Sandy are reminiscent of Olivia Newton-John’s Grease era. Aaron Tveit plays Danny Zuko–the role John Travolta made famous in the film.

In addition to Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit, Grease: Live stars Vanessa Hudgens, Carly Rae Jepsen, Keke Palmer, Carlos PenaVega, Ana Gasteyer, Eve Plumb, Mario Lopez, and more.

Will you be tuning in to see Grease: Live on TV? It airs January 31 on Fox at 7 p.m. ET.

Will Julianne Hough ace that tricky line for the live show?

  • Alexa PenaVega May Return to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ After Tamar Braxton Was Forced to Pull Out

Alexa PenaVega just may be back on the dance floor after Tamar Braxton, who suffered pulmonary embolisms in both lungs on Monday, was required to pull out of the Dancing With the Stars competition.

Monday was a little unusual on the hit ABC hit reality dance competition.

Tamar Braxton, 38, headed to the hospital prior to the live show, missing her first dance routine with partner Val Chmerkovskiy. She returned for her second routine later in the show, but it was obvious she was not well. It was later confirmed that she was suffering from more than pneumonia. In fact, her life was placed in danger by dancing with blood clots in both lungs.

It came as a shock when Alexa and her partner Mark Ballas were eliminated despite receiving two perfect scores for their routines that night.

Now producers are scrambling trying to decide what to do with the spot left open by Braxton.

“The producers are looking at all possibilities right now,” a DWTS insider told People magazine. “There is a possibility that Alexa could be reinstated.”

PenaVega received three perfect 10s from the judges on Monday after a moving routine that was inspired by her struggle with bulimia. Her Chicago-inspired routine with Bindi Irwin also garnered her perfect 10s.

Because of her elimination, viewers were not offered the opportunity to vote for PenaVega after her performances on Monday, so it is unclear how her return to the show would work.

Only time will tell who will join the remaining contestants, hubby Carlos PenaVega, Bindi Irwin, Nick Carter and French train heroAlex Skarlatos to vie for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.

What do you think? Should Alexa PenaVega return to Dancing With the Stars?

With the two up for elimination, it drew to a close the first ever married couple competing against one another. When it was announced that Alexis PenaVega was the one eliminated, Carlos openly wept. He said he wished he’d been eliminated instead of his wife.

Her time on Dancing With the Stars gave Alexa PenaVega the confidence to talk about a previous issue with bulimia.

“This show allowed me to gain that confidence to just talk about it and maybe help other people who are going through that and really just put it all to rest,” she said Tuesday on Good Morning America.

Pro dance partner Mark Ballas said he was proud of Alexa, and would consider her a “friend for life.”

In addition to Alexa PenaVega, Andy Grammer, Hayes Grier, Paula Deen, Chaka Khan, Victor Espinoza, and Gary Busey have all been voted off Dancing With the Stars this season.
