  • Candace Cameron Bure Offers Behind the Scenes View of ‘The View’

Candace Cameron, who joined The View this week, offered a behind the scenes glimpse of what the week entailed in an exclusive interview with People magazine.

The 39-year-old Fuller House star, told the magazine that she approached the guest hosting on The View as “something fun and different,” but said she was surprised they offered her a spot as regular co-host.

“It suddenly felt like a lot more pressure and responsibility,” she conceded. “After my first show this week, I called my mom and I told her I was disappointed in how I’d handled one of the topics that had come up. I mentioned all the pressure I was putting on myself. And she told me, ‘You know, there’s a book out there that’s all about this very problem of self-doubt and pressure. It’s called Dancing Through Life and it’s written by this woman named Candace Cameron Bure. You should read it.’”

Candace, who recently took on the whole Starbucks Christmas red cup scandal, admitted that her momma was right, saying that she has always been her worst critic and needs to let that go and just have a good time with the new gig.

Noting that she has always been the one being interviewed, she said she has much to learn from her co-hosts

“Paula Faris comes from the world of journalism so I’ve been asking her a ton of questions, and she has been so supportive and helpful in making feel more prepared,” said Cameron. “I really am enjoying all my co-hosts but I think people would be surprised to hear that I find the most in common with Raven-Symoné.

“We differ a lot in our opinions, but we are kindred spirits in the sense that we both grew up in front of the camera. We have a lot of similar life experiences that have shaped who we are. That gives us a lot to bond over.”

What to you think of Candace Cameron Bure‘s first week on The View?

  • Candace Cameron Bure Shares Selfie From “Fuller House” Set

Candace Cameron Bure and her Fuller House co-stars are already having fun on the set shooting their continuation of the classic sitcom Full House.

The long-awaited show is already filming and it looks like, judging from the selfie anyway, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber still have it.

In the show, Candace Cameron Bure, also known as D.J., plays an expectant widow who enlists the help of her sister, Stephanie, and her best friend, Kimmy, to get through life.

Fans of Full House have been waiting for ages for the sequel, but they don’t have much longer!

Candace Cameron Bure has been pretty busy since her stint on Dancing with the Stars, which prompted her to write a book.

    Love these girls.

Candace Cameron Bure told the hosts of Good Morning America, “I was scheduled to write a book about motherhood and after the show, Dancing With the Stars, finished, I called up my publisher and said, ‘I just had the most incredible experience of my life and I learned so much about myself in these four months of the show.’”

She added, “And these were not just lessons about being on a reality show or a dance show. These were life lessons I’m going to take away forever. It changed me.”

In the book, Dancing Through Life, Candace Cameron Bure does a lot of defense of her faith.

She said, “Because I’m pretty outspoken about my faith, I think a lot of people were worried about me going on the show and saying, ‘Oh, those costumes are so sexy, and how are you going to be dancing with someone who’s not your husband?’”

She added, “And I went, ‘Well, I know who I am in my faith and I think I can do this show and display all the things that I value and stand up with those convictions and stay true to myself. And I did.”

What a busy girl! Candace Cameron Bure has made quite the secondary career for herself.

Are you excited to see Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. again?

  • Lori Loughlin on ‘Fuller House,’ Reunion With Aunt Becky and Uncle Jesse’s Twins

Lori Loughlin is loving her reunion with her old Full House co-stars. Work on the show’s reboot, Fuller House, started a couple of weeks ago. She is especially excited about seeing her Full House twins, Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit, for the first time since the show ended.

“I had already reconnect with them on Twitter, so I knew what they looked like because I had seen images,” Lori Loughlin said.

“But it was great to see them again,” she added

Blake and Dylan called it quits in the acting field after Full House ended, but thus far have taken to acting like old pros.

“They’re fine. They’re actually doing a great job,” Lori Loughlin said, singing the praises of ‘Aunt Becky’ and ‘Uncle Jesse’s’ (played by John Stamos) twin boys.

Lori Loughlin went on to explain that the reunion show–which will be the first aired episode of Fuller House–will “cover a lot of ground,” and will effectively get viewers up to speed on what the characters have done in the past 20 years.

“We all have little snippets of things to do,” she said. “They’re trying to get a lot of ground covered in a short amount of time and reintroduce all the characters to everybody.”

Loughlin goes on to explain that even though the pilot episode features a reunion of all of the cast members (except the Olsen twins–Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), not all characters will appear regularly.

“Netflix bought a spinoff show called Fuller House with Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber. That’s what they wanted,” she explained. “They wanted all of us for the reunion show. Now they’re kind of saying, ‘Well, maybe you’ll come back and do another episode, maybe you’ll come back and do another episode.’ But they don’t want me, Bob [Saget], Dave [Coulier] and John [Stamos] for all the episodes. They want to do a spinoff show, which–it makes the most sense. You couldn’t really pick up that show and have us all living in that house. It’d be so weird. … You need to advance.”

Fans are no doubt hoping to see at least a cameo of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as Michelle Tanner. It’s uncertain if they will agree to this or not. They initially turned down the invitation to appear on Fuller House.

Lori Loughlin has a full plate in addition to a Full House reunion right now. In addition to her work as Aunt Becky on Fuller House, she is also starring in When Calls the Heart for Hallmark Channel, which was recently renewed for its third season, as well as Garage Sale Mystery for Hallmark Movies & Mystery.

Are you excited to see Lori Loughlin and the rest of the Full House cast reprise their roles for Fuller House? Episodes will air on Netflix in 2016.

  • Candace Cameron Bure Says Her Gay Friends Still Love Her After She Denied Discrimination

The View had Candace Cameron Bure on as guest host recently, and the actress famously got into a bit of a tiff with regular host Raven-Symone. The point of departure between the two women had to do with Aaron and Melissa Klein, of Sweet Cakes by Melissa bakery in Oregon. The bakery had refused to make a wedding cake for Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer because they are both women.

Candace Cameron Bure commonly represents an ultra-conservative Christian viewpoint on the show. She is the sister of evolution-denier Kirk Cameron. But Raven-Simone called the actions of the bakery discrimination, drawing a parallel with civil rights.

“The Oregon law bars businesses from discriminating against sexual orientation, race, disability, age or religion,” Raven Symone said, “and to me, it’s the same exact thing that they did back in the day saying that black people couldn’t do certain things because it’s my ‘religious belief.’”

Candace Cameron Bure countered, “I don’t think this is discrimination at all. This is about freedom of association. It’s about constitutional rights. It’s about First Amendment rights. We do have the right to still choose who we associate with.”

    She offered further elaboration.

“[The bakery] didn’t refuse to bake the cake because of [the couple’s] sexual orientation,” Candace Cameron Bure continued. “In fact, they baked cakes for them previously. They had a problem with the actual ceremony because that — the ceremony — is what conflicted with their religious beliefs. They are saying that they stand for marriage between a man and a woman.”

The pair of hosts seemed at loggerheads, but revealed later that they hugged it out during a commercial break. Candace Cameron Bure later told The Church Boys podcast, “I wasn’t there to debate gay marriage or straight marriage. It was about these bakers and their religious freedoms and the freedom of association.”

Candace Cameron Bure further told The Blaze, “I wanted to be as truthful and honest and speak in love as much as I could, but just be factual about things. And that’s really where I was coming from.”

But she also says that she got support, of a sort, from her “very close gay friends.”

“My favorite part were all the texts that I got from my … very close gay friends that were saying, ‘We love you and we can all have different opinions, and you fight for what you believe in and I’m going to fight for what I believe in,’” she said.

“It’s always interesting to hear where everyone’s coming from. We can learn to have respectful conversations with people that we don’t agree with.”

  • Lori Loughlin: Will She Be Aunt Becky On “Fuller House”?

Lori Loughlin has been making the rounds on the talk shows lately and the one thing everyone wants to know about is the new Full House spin-off, Fuller House.

Lori Loughlin was Aunt Becky on Full House. She was the love of Uncle Jesse and made up his more sensible side.

Lori Loughlin was everyone’s aunt, always there with good advice for the girls and ready to lend a hand when the appropriately scripted life issue was being tackled.

However, no one, not even Lori Loughlin for sure, knows whether or not Aunt Becky will be back as a permanent fixture on Fuller House.

Lori Loughlin explained the new show, saying, “They have been working on this for a while. It’s originally a spin-off idea for Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber. Three girls move into a house to raise DJ’s three boys, so it’s a flip on the original series…I think we would all like to come back if the powers that be are fair to all of us.”

Happy Birthday to this beauty who I have known since she's 10 years old.

But will “the powers that be” bring back Lori Loughlin as Aunt Becky and the cast of the older generation?

That remains to be seen, but it seems Lori Loughlin would definitely love to be back on board the show that she was a part of for so many years.

Lori Laughlin told the hosts of Fox & Friends, “Everyone is talking and trying to make that happen, and I think that it will happen. I’m really optimistic, and it would be great to be back together again.”

One year ago today I said goodbye to my gorgeous girl Luca. I've missed you everyday sweet friend. Bianca & Luca

She added, “I think for the fans it would be nice if we were all together and for us too. We all love each other. We always got along really well. We had a good time making the show.”

And we all had a good time watching it!

What do you think? Would you want Lori Loughlin to reprise her role as Aunt Becky for Fuller House?

  • Candace Cameron Takes Selfie With John Stamos’s Phone

D.J. Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler were up to their old tricks again at the recent wedding of Dave Coulier.

The wedding had a country theme and took place outdoors in Montana. Coulier invited all of his Full House cast mates to the ceremony.

Candace Cameron who played D.J .and Andrea Barber who played Kimmy on Full House happened to find John Stamos’s phone and decided to surprise him by taking a few selfies with it.

When Stamos later saw the pictures he decided to get the girls back by posting them on his Instagram page.

There were numerous other photos taken at Dave’s wedding and many of the Full House cast showed up to show their love and support. Jodi Sweeten, Lori Loughlin and Mary Kate and Ashley Olson did not attend the wedding.

Candace shared several photos from the wedding and with the Full House cast members and seemed to enjoy spending time and getting caught up with all of them.

After Full House, Candace shied away from the cameras, got married and started a family. She recently gained attention on last season’s Dancing With The Stars.

She has stayed close with many of her Full House cast members and during Dancing With The Stars, Lori Loughlin and Andrea Barber were often seen in the audience cheering her on.

Although the Full House cast still gets along great and enjoys seeing each other, they say that there is no official Full House reunion or reunion show planned anytime in the future. All of them agree however, that they would love to be a part of one.

  • Candace Cameron Bure Dances Rumba On DWTS 18

For week two of Dancing With The Stars season 18, the stars chose the dance that they would be doing with their professional dance partners. Many of the dances that were chosen by the rest of the contestants were mainly swing; however, Candace Cameron Bure took a risk last week, choosing Rumba with her partner two-time champion Mark Ballas.

The reason why Rumba is a big risk for Bure is that, typically, Rumba (commonly known as the “dance of love”) is a Latin dance that is very sensual and romantic with very stern Latin hip actions and walks. Sometimes, when the Rumba is danced, the outfits (especially for the women) can be very revealing. This goes against Bure’s statement that she made at the start of the competition when she stated that she will not wear any sexual outfits and be very modest on the show.

As part of the “opening package” prior to Bure’s and Ballas’ performance for this week, Bure proclaimed her faith to show, letting the Dancing With The Stars viewer base know that her relationship with Jesus drives both her personal and professional decisions:

“I’m a Christian. My life revolves around my relationship with Jesus Christ, so with the overall tone of the dance and the costumes, I’m not going to take a backseat. My voice will definitely be heard.”

Bure and Ballas danced their Rumba to “Say Something,” the well-known song by A Great Big World featuring Christina Aguilera. Their Rumba contained lots of content, involving: a side-by-side pass, Latin walks (driven by a cross-body lead), an under-arm turn, and Waltz-based turns. Various parts of the dance also contained various contemporary dance-like elements, which Bure danced in week one of the competition.

The judges gave Bure and Ballas: 7 (by Carrie Ann Inaba), 7 (by Len Goodman), and 7 (by Bruno Tonioli), which equals to 21. Unfortunately, Bure will not be dancing with Ballas next week, as Dancing With The Stars viewers will be using Twitter to decide the pairings for next week’s dances.

Bure’s partner Ballas offered the following tweet pertaining to the Rumba they performed and praised his partner Bure, letting the public know that Bure is not all “what you see is what you get.”

  • Candace Cameron Bure Joins Cast of DWTS

Candace Cameron Bure has joined the cast of celebrities who will compete on Season 18 of Dancing with the Stars.

The new cast of celebrities for the new season was revealed on Good Morning America Tuesday by host Tom Bergeron and his new partner Erin Andrews.

The Full House star joins a slew of other great names to compete on the ballroom floor, including Charlie White and Meryl Davis, the ice dancing pair who won the gold medal at the Sochi Olympics.

Ironically, DWTS pro Derek Hough choreographed the pair’s short routine for the Olympics.

“I think we’re excited for a little healthy competition,” Davis told Lara Spencer about competing against his partner.

Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy is also joining the cast and will be paired with Hough.

The 34-year-old activist and former Amazing Race competitor is the first contestant with two prosthetic legs to compete on DWTS. Purdy’s legs were amputated below the knee due to a form of bacterial meningitis when she was 19 years old.

As for Candace, she is already Tweeting away with excitement.

  • Candace Cameron and Her Struggle With Bulimia

Candace Cameron, the 37-year-old actress best known for her role as T.J. Tanner on the television show, Full House, recently discussed her struggle with bulimia in an interview with Yahoo’s OMG! Insider co-anchor, Thea Andrews.

While discussing her book, Balancing It All, Cameron opened up that while she managed to avoid addictions and other pitfalls like so many other child actors, she fell into the incessant cycle of binging and purging after she married former NHL player, Valeri Bure, and moved to Canada in 1996 to support his career as a hockey player.

She told Andrews that bulimia entered her life when she started using food to comfort her as she navigated the waters of being a new wife, and keeping her own career as an actress afloat. The binging and purging soon got the better of her and she realized she needed to do something about the food disorder.

“Clearly it wasn’t a healthy way to deal with things. That’s really when my faith was kicked up a notch, and I sought comfort in my relationship with God and not with food,” she told Andrews in the interview.

Never a very thin actress like many of her contemporaries, Cameron credits the producers and cast of Full House for protecting her with body image when she was young.

“I think I was very protected by my parents and the producers. They all had a sensitivity about it,” she said in the interview. “Even the one episode of Full House where D.J. goes on a crash diet for a few days … they asked me would I feel comfortable doing an episode about that.”

Known as being very vocal about her faith and her Christian walk, Cameron went on to explain how her eating disorder strengthened her faith and relationship with God.

Watch the video below where she talks about her struggle with Bulimia.

  • Candace Cameron Bure Talks About Bulimia

Thirty-seven-year-old Candace Cameron Bure spoke with Thea Andrews of Omg! Insider where topics focused on her upcoming book, Balancing It All, as well as her adult struggles with bulimia. After her time portraying D.J. Tanner on the popular television show Full House, Candace moved to Montreal with her husband, Valeri Bure. During this time, Candace was dealing with pressures relating to her career as an actress and being the new wife of a professional hockey player.

“I talk about the emotional struggle that I had in dealing with just a totally new life. That really was the time of identifying with being an actress and that being my whole life, and then now being someone’s wife and moving to a new city, a new country even. I turned to food for comfort and had to find a different source, ’cause clearly it wasn’t a healthy way to deal with things. So that’s really when my faith was kicked up a notch and sought comfort in my relationship with God and not with food,” Candace said.

Candace says that her struggle with bulimia happened after her time as a famous child actress. As a well-known child star, Candace received support and guidance from the adult figures in her life. “I think I was very protected by my parents and the producers. They all had a sensitivity about it. Even the one episode of Full House where D.J. goes on a crash diet for a few days, they asked me would I feel comfortable doing an episode about that,” she said.

  • D.J. Tanner Tweets Return to the Full House

Something about this just feels so right.

Candace Cameron Bure (formerly just Candace Cameron) thrilled the hearts of 80s kids everywhere yesterday evening when she began Tweeting about her first visit to the Full House houses, where the famous intro to the beloved TV show was filmed.

Cameron, who of course played the eldest Tanner girl D.J., apparently took a trip to San Francisco for her husband’s birthday. Not only did she snap some nifty twitpics of her trip, but she tweeted them out with lyrics to the Full house theme song. She even witnessed what appeared to be a tour guide showing tourists the houses. I guess they are a national treasure – as they should be.

Here are the tweets, in order, documenting her trip –

And here’s another pic, which looks like her kids in front of the houses. According to another tweet, one of her daughters kept telling people that her mom was D.J Tanner. Awesome.

Strangely enough, Candace Cameron’s first return to the place of her childhood employment fell on the birthday of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. They both turned 25 yesterday. And Dave Coulier tweeted about it.

This is just about as Full House-y of a day as can be, although it doesn’t appear Bob Saget or Jodie Sweetin made any Full House news last night. Maybe we should name June 13th National Full House Appreciation Day anyways.
