  • Peyton Manning Helps Broncos Secure Home-Field Advantage In Playoffs

Returning to the Denver Broncos is 39-year-old Peyton Manning during their match against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

Upon his return, the quarterback immediately made his presence felt as he helped the Broncos erase a 13-7 deficit and go home with the 27-20 win. The much-needed victory secured them home-field advantage through the playoffs.

Head Coach Gary Kubiak reportedly approached Manning during half time, and asked if he could put the veteran in the field, to replace starting QB Brock Osweiler.

“I think I can go in there and do something,” the quarterback replied.

True enough, the five-time Most Valuable Player made the difference, and while he wasn’t his old, dominating self, Manning still made some tough plays for the Broncos.

He threw nine times and completed five passes for 69 yards. In addition, he also led four scoring dives to help Denver secure the top seed in the American Football Conference (AFC).

The Broncos players were happy with what Manning accomplished, and said that his mere presence on the field gave them a lift.

“The cheers, the energy surge, it changed the whole atmosphere,” said defensive end Antonio Smith.

“It lifted the whole stadium, it lifted the O-line, the O-line got with it,” cornerback Aqib Talib added.

While the Sports Illustrated NFL “Player of the Decade” (2000s) helped his team overcome the Chargers, it still remains a mystery whether the Broncos coaching staff would let him play major minutes in the playoffs.

Prior to the game, Manning’s last match was in Nov. 15 in a loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, where he tore his plantar fascia located near his left heel.

Since his injury, Peyton Manning has been under rehab and therapy for more than a month.

  • Peyton Manning Vehemently Denies Al Jazeera Report That Says He Used Performance-Enhancing Drugs, Intern Admits Story Was Fabricated

Peyton Manning is pissed. The NFL player vehemently denies claims on behalf of an Al Jazeera report that states he used performance-enhancing drugs.

The report about Peyton Manning was allegedly based on recordings made by a former intern at an Indianapolis anti-aging institute. The intern reportedly now admits to fabricating the allegations.

On Sunday, Peyton Manning spoke to ESPN, expressing his anger, not only because the purported allegations targeted him, but because they also targeted his wife Ashley, too. The allegations said the drugs were sent via Manning’s wife.

“I can’t speak for any other athlete. I know what I’ve done, I know how hard I’ve worked in my 18 years of playing in the NFL. There are no shortcuts in the NFL. I’ve done it the long way, I’ve done it the hard way. And to insinuate anything otherwise is a complete and total joke, it’s defamation and it really ticks me off,” Peyton Manning told ESPN.

Both the Broncos and the Colts issued statements on Sunday morning on Peyton Manning’s behalf.

“Knowing Peyton Manning and everything he stands for, the Denver Broncos support him 100 percent,” the team said. “These are false claims made to Al Jazeera, and we don’t believe the report.”

The Colts called the report “utterly ridiculous.”

“We are thoroughly familiar with Peyton’s tireless work habits, his medical history, and, most importantly, his integrity,” the Colts said.

“We also note that the ‘source’ of this allegation has since recanted his story.”

The Al Jazeera report said Peyton Manning received HGH from the Indianapolis anti-aging clinic in 2011 while he was playing for the Colts. It said the drug was delivered to his wife so Manning’s name wasn’t associated with the shipments.

In addition to Peyton Manning, the Al Jazeera report also accused other athletes of obtaining performance-enhancing drugs.

Did you doubt Peyton Manning’s integrity–even if only for a moment or two–when this false report came out?

  • Peyton Manning’s Newest Accessory – A Green Football!

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has a new accessory … a bright green football!

Peyton carried the ball with him throughout the first practice of the season on Wednesday. When asked about the reasoning behind the ball, he declined to share any information.

“That’s Denver Broncos offensive business,” he said. Manning was then asked if his ball had anything to do with the green ball that Demaryius Thomas decided to carry after a series of fumbles.

Again, he refused to explain. “Like I said, that’s official Denver Broncos offensive business, right? It’s kind of an A and B conversation and you can C your way out of it,” Manning joked.

On a more serious note, Manning said that he was excited to get back to practice after the biggest defeat of his career at the Super Bowl.

“I think a lot of guys were excited for this day,” Manning said, talking about the returning injured players and the free-agent newbies. “With the way the schedule is set up now, it’s pretty restricted time that you’re allowed to be with the coaches. We’re trying to put in the offense, trying to install it, trying to work on timing with the newer players. You certainly would be disappointed if everybody was not here.”

And when Manning isn’t on the field, he explains that he is not sitting around. He is always looking for something to keep him busy. “Staying active, that’s what I try to do. I don’t really enjoy just sitting around doing nothing,” Manning said. “I rarely get a chance to do that. Anytime I’m home, I’m playing, playing a lot of tee ball right now with the kids and staying pretty busy there.”

  • Emmanuel Sanders Signs Deal With Denver Broncos

Wide receiver, Emmanuel Sanders, has signed a three-year deal with the Denver Broncos last Sunday. The deal is worth $18 million if Sanders is able to achieve all the performance bonuses in the contract.

However, striking the new deal with the Broncos left Sanders’ agent in hot water. According to a team official, the 25-year-old football star’s agent did not adhere to the rules of negotiations.

Reports say that Steve Weinberg, Sanders’ agent, has already accepted a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. He then started negotiations with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without providing information about the negotiations with the Chiefs. In the end, the agent finally signed an agreement with the Broncos on behalf of Sanders.

Sources previously stated via ESPN that other teams might be hesitant to sign Sanders due to medical concerns. Sanders sustained injuries in the 2010 season and as a result, has a screw placed in each foot.

Weinberg’s process angered executives in the 49ers organization, as he blew off several meetings regarding Sanders that were already scheduled. One of the executives said, “This was one of the worst situations in modern football negotiations.” Weinberg had no comment about the allegations.

On Sunday’s news conference, Sanders talked about the issue saying that there was no handshake, and that the negotiations with the other teams were close, but not anything official.

John Elway, Broncos’ executive vice president and general manager, says that they did not have an idea that there were issues with other teams when they were in negotiations with the player. He also said that miscommunication in negotiations happens all the time.

The Denver Broncos officially welcomed Sanders by tweeting an image of the player with the caption “Emmanuel Sanders has officially signed with the #Broncos. RT to welcome him to Denver!”

Sanders also mentioned that he is happy to have ended up with a team that he wanted to be part of.

  • Seahawks Dominate Bing Search In 33 States

On February 2, the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos are going to duke it out in Super Bowl XLVIII. Madden NFL 25 tells us that Broncos are going to win, but Bing tells us a different story.

Bing revealed today that the Seahawks are dominating search in a majority of U.S. states before the big game. More than 50 percent of football fans in 33 states are searching for the Seattle Seahawks before the game on Sunday while only 17 have more than 50 percent of their fans searching for the Broncos. It should be noted that most of the search volume is very close with some states showing nearly a 50/50 split in search traffic for both teams.

Seahawks Dominate Bing Search In 33 States

Of course, the search traffic for both teams is remarkably higher in their home states. Washington is especially excited to see the Seahawks head to the Super Bowl with 95 percent of all search traffic for both teams going to the Seahawks. You’d think Colorado would be just as excited, but only 85 percent are searching for the Broncos.

As for the quarterbacks, the Seahawks’ Russell Wilson just can’t compete with the household name that is Peyton Manning. Going into this year’s game, Manning captured 72 percent of all search traffic between the two. Wilson will just have to take solace in the fact that he has the highest Klout score among all the players on both teams.

The Seahawks made a comeback in searches for the running back on both teams with Marshawn Lynch pulling 52 percent of all searches. The Seahawks had another search champion in Richard Sherman with 81 percent of all searches for the cornerback coming after his post-game interview following the NFC Championship.

  • Elway: On Manning’s Retirement Possibility

    Elway: On Manning’s Retirement Possibility

John Elway, former Bronco’s quarterback and now the teams executive vice president, says Manning isn’t likely to retire anytime soon. Especially if he finishes his record-setting season with a second Super Bowl ring.

Elway, who retired over 15 years ago was due for retirement – his body was breaking down after 15 years (1983-1998) as the Bronco’s QB. He went out with a bang though, having won their second Super Bowl in a row, the XXXIII Super Bowl against Atlanta. Elway endured almost double the career sacks as Manning at 516 times, 244 more than Manning.

But about Manning retiring, Elway seems to think he’s got more years.

‘‘I still think he’s young and he’s playing well,’’ Elway said Thursday of his quarterback, who’s coming off his best statistical season just two years removed from neck problems that weakened his throwing arm. ‘‘That’s going to come down to Peyton. It’s going to come down to what he wants to do.’’

Manning hasn’t hinted that he is thinking about calling it quits at age 37, but he has dropped phrases lately like ‘‘light at the end of the tunnel’’ when talking about his career and his neck injury.

But he has said his career hinges on a physical exam in March that will determine how well the injury has healed.

Elway plans to meet with Manning after the season to talk about his future. But Manning sure doesn’t appear to be broken or suffering after those Sunday games.

After all, Manning, the 5-time MVP has thrown for 97 touchdowns in his two seasons in Denver, including an NFL-record 55 this season.

‘‘When you leave this game, you want to leave it on your last leg and try not to leave anything on the table. … I was just fortunate to be able to be on two great football teams and be able to win world championships when my ‘last leg’ broke,’’ said Elway.

The two great quarterbacks are heading to Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, February 2, against the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Peyton Manning’s Wife And Father Motivated His Return

Peyton Manning says that his wife is the reason he decided to give football another try after his neck surgery. The quarterback admitted to being scared that he would not be able to come back and be as good as he once was. He knew people would expect him to play great and wasn’t sure if he could do it.

His wife Ashley convinced him to give it one more try and Peyton says that he is forever grateful for her support and motivation.

“Ashley and I actually had those conversations. More than one. Because, you know, you don’t want to embarrass yourself. Because, they’re signing you and people are thinking they’re getting the player they had always seen before,” Peyton said.

“And so, Ashley was the one that was saying, ‘Peyton, you’ve got to try. You’ve got to try.’ With this injury, nothing was happening. Nothing. For weeks. There was no progress. It was so frustrating. And really, I had a peace about it. I had a peace. Because, I had this unbelievable string of health for 20 years — since I was 15 years old as a sophomore in high school.”

Peyton may have also been motivated by his father Archie, who said that he passed the football with Peyton at the family’s home while he was recovering from his surgery. After the Broncos won the AFC Championship game, Archie looked back on Peyton’s recovery and admitted to wondering if he would ever see his son play at another Super Bowl.

“I just didn’t know,” Archie said. “Yeah, when you’re his age, what he went through, playing the quarterback position in this league, we just tried to stay positive with him. He handled it so well. He had a good frame of mind, working and trying, but if it didn’t work, he was at peace so that was comforting to me and [wife] Olivia.”

It looks like both Ashley’s and Archie’s support was helpful, because Payton Manning and the Broncos are once again headed to the Super Bowl.

What did you think of the AFC Championship game?

  • Denver Broncos – Are They Super Bowl Bound?

Denver Broncos – Are They Super Bowl Bound?

The big AFC playoff game is coming up, Sunday, between the Denver Broncos and The San Diego Chargers. Although the Broncos lead the AFC, with much better stats and standings (Broncos 13-3 – Chargers 10-7), the Charger’s have proved to be a challenge to the Broncos.

The Broncos though, start out as a 9 point favorite but that isn’t saying much.

Their previous match ups with the Chargers have been unpredictable to say the least. The two AFC West teams are split, with the Broncos taking the first game in San Diego by a score of 28-20 and the Chargers winning the second game, 27-20.

It’s anybody’s game on Sunday, but lets not forget the game is being played at Denver’s Mile High Stadium. The Bronco’s are known for winning at home even though the last meeting at Mile High with the Chargers proved that theory wrong. But between the crowd noise and the altitude, it makes sense that they are favored to win this game, and to move onto their next challenge which will be just a couple of games away from the big game…Superbowl 2014.

Manning and the Denver Broncos are predicted to make it all the way to the Super Bowl in February. If you’re a gambler, best to put your money on them.

If you ask Don Banks of Sports Illustrated – they think so too.

The Broncos will be heavy favorites in all four of their remaining games: Tennessee (5-7), San Diego (5-7), at Houston (2-10) and at Oakland (4-8). If there’s a surprise loss lurking in there somewhere, I don’t see it. The Titans and Chargers basically eliminated themselves from AFC wild-card contention with Week 13 losses, while the Texans just find a new way to lose every week.

  • Peyton Manning Breaks TD Record – Now at 51

Who would have thought any quarterback for the Denver Broncos could ever measure up to the Hall of Fame great, John Elway? After all – it was Elway that led the Broncos to two Superbowl wins. They won Super Bowl XXXII and Super Bowl XXXIII in their 1997 and 1998 seasons.

But it looks as if the Broncos have scored, big, with Peyton Manning.

Not only have the Bronco’s clinched their playoff birth at the top of the AFC West – they’ve broken some other records as well. But, the important highlight of the day against the Texans – was Peyton topping Tom Brady’s former single-season record of 50 touchdown passes, set in 2007. Tom Brady is the quarter back for New England Patriots.

Although Manning had previously established the record by throwing 49 TD passes in 2004, he’s gotten back on top again. Manning did it on a 25-yard pass to Julius Thomas with only 4:28 remaining. Just 2½ minutes earlier, he tied the mark with a 20-yard pass to Eric Decker.

The Broncos already had a spot in the playoffs, but their victory today against The Houston Texans, combined with Kansas City’s loss to Indianapolis, gave them the division crown. They could secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs if New England doesn’t win its late game at Baltimore.

Manning made the record-setting throw to Thomas and walked toward the end zone, where his teammates celebrated the record-breaking victory with him.

Decker got the ball after the touchdown and tucked it in the side of his jersey, where it remained as he walked off the field. Manning will keep that record-breaking football.

Today was a great game for Manning with 296 passing yards in the first half, and the record-setting performance tops an excellent season for Manning. The big question facing him, and the Denver Bronco fans now is whether he can also win his second Super Bowl ring, perhaps this season?

  • Arrowhead Homicide: Police Investigate Man’s Death

During Sunday’s game, played by the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos, a man was killed during an altercation in the parking lot of Arrowhead Stadium. Police confirmed the man’s death and say they are treating his death as a homicide.

So far, no arrests have been made, but police are still continuing their investigation to find out who the killer is and the motive behind the murder. They currently have three persons-of-interest in custody.

Eye witnesses described the incident to police saying that a father and his son walked to their car and noticed a man in their vehicle going through their belongings. A struggle took place, leaving the man lying unconscious on the ground. Paramedics arrived and took the man to the hospital where he later died. His name has not been released, and neither has the suspects.

“Talking to several witnesses that were out here in the parking lots, there was an individual who came back to his vehicle, saw someone inside the vehicle that did not belong. A struggle ensued between the two. That’s when the individual collapsed,” Kansas City police spokesman, Darin Snapp, said.

    (image)

The main focus right now is determining the man’s cause of death. “We don’t know if the person had a health condition, had a heart attack. We don’t know,” Snapp said. “We’re going to investigate this as a homicide until we hear differently. Right now it’s a suspicious death but we are going to investigate it as a homicide.”

The men in custody are not being treated as suspects until the autopsy reveals the man’s cause of death. “Right now they’re persons of interest,” Snapp said. “Like I said, until we find out exactly how this person passed away, we’re going to investigate it as a homicide. They’re not suspects right now until we find out exactly what happened.”

  • Tim Tebow: Questions Circulate About His Future

Ever since Tim Tebow graciously thanked the New England Patriots for his involvement with the team (he was released on August 31, 2013, after signing on to the job just two months earlier on June 11, 2013) rumors have swirled about where Tim will end up next. Tebowmania continues to dominate the headlines.

From the University of Florida Gators to the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets to the stint with the New England Patriots, (phew) where will the well-known, beloved football player end up for the next phase of his career? Michael Silver, who explains himself as “I cover the NFL like a Snuggie for, well… The Man” has recently reported that Tim Tebow is presently being considered by the Rams.

Tim Tebow’s immediate path is uncertain for the moment, but his devoted fan base and enthusiasm translates into both continued media coverage and increasing popularity among his supporters. Tim Tebow took to Twitter to highlight his “lifelong dream” to continue as a quarterback for the NFL.

  • Peyton Manning Fakes Out Everyone with TD Run in Broncos-Cowboys Game [VIDEO]

The best quarterback in America somehow managed to be even more impressive in the Broncos’ win over the Cowboys on Sunday. Not only did Peyton Manning have over 400 passing yards for four touchdowns, he faked out everyone in a trick play for a rushing touchdown during Denver’s 51-48 win.

Manning isn’t known for his rushing abilities, something the Broncos were able to use to their advantage on Sunday. When Manning took a snap at the goal line, he did such a good job of faking the handoff that even the camera operator didn’t realize Manning had the ball. Manning then rolled left on a naked bootleg and ran (a term we use loosely) in for his first rushing touchdown since 2008. See the video below.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnM8xh-aNDg

The Cowboys-Broncos game at AT&T Stadium in Texas was an absolute thriller today, with the game going down to the final seconds. After getting behind 48-41 against the Cowboys, Manning went 5-5 for 77 yards got the Broncos down to the 1-yard line, where Knowshon Moreno ran in a touchdown.

Despite his stellar game, Tony Romo buckled in typical Romo fashion and threw an interception at the 24-yard line, putting the Broncos in good field goal position. The Broncos then ran down the clock and avoided overtime with a last-second field goal. The win over Dallas is the fifth for the season and puts the Broncos at 5-0.

Do you think Manning will lead the Broncos to an undefeated season? Respond below.

Manning has had a phenomenal season thus far, and many think the 37-year-old quarterback will break Tom Brady’s single-season touchdown record. The magic number to hit is 51, something Manning should have no problem doing if he keeps up his current pace. So far the Denver Broncos quarterback has 19 touchdown passes and just one interception.

  • Champ Bailey: Broncos Success Gives Him Time To Heal

Champ Bailey, the famous record setting Broncos defender was sidelined earlier this year during the preseason, after suffering a sprained foot injury. Bailey has appeared in the Pro Bowl twelve times, as a part of the Redskins and Broncos and even holds the record for number of Pro Bowl selections for any cornerback in the NFL. Bailey’s injury before the regular season started was something that was likely to hurt their season, but luckily for them, it has not quite played out that way.

Due to the extraordinary success that the Broncos have been having, he is likely to continue to take more time to heal his injury. This week in practice, he showed up, but his performance was very limited. After missing the first four weeks of the season, he is clearly frustrated after seeing his team perform without him. It is an especially hard situation to deal with after the continued success of the team, as he is torn between joy and regret, according to The Denver Channel. He is glad that the team is winning, but he wishes he could be out there with them, and be a part of the action.

After Peyton Manning’s extraordinary success on the offensive side of the ball, there is hardly even a need for defensive standouts like Bailey during the 2013 season. Broncos coach John Fox says that they team is not willing to take any chances on their star player, until he is able to perform at 100 percent.

It would be tough for anyone to spend the first month of the season on the sideline, but a star like Bailey said of the situation, “It’s frustrating missing practice, so games, it’s only 10 times more frustrating.” With Bailey out, the Broncos have turned to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie as their No. 1 option and they plan to do the same thing on Sunday as he gets ready to match up against receiver Dez Bryant, in their match-up against the Cowboys.

As the Broncos continue to thrive without Bailey with a 4-0 record, fans can certainly expect them to continue to do great things upon his return. After the Cowboys game, they play against the Jaguars, with no need to bring him back for that game. The secondary players are giving excellent performances as well, keeping the Broncos from being tempted to rush Bailey back onto the field too soon. The worst thing to do with this type of injury would be to put him back on the field and have something worse happen.

  • Tim Tebow Press Conference: Jets, Broncos, Manning, and of course God

Tim Tebow, the newest New York Jet, gave a press conference today about being traded by the Denver Broncos and what the immediate future holds for him.

When asked about his feelings regarding the trade being a “publicity stunt”, Tebow said his feelings weren’t hurt by the comment but that he disagrees completely. He touched upon the subject of “Tebowing”, which is part of the “Tebowmania” that has been touted as something that may prove to be a distraction for New York, saying that many players take a knee to pray before a game and he sees nothing special about doing it himself.

Tebow responded to many of the reporters by name and remained personable throughout, answering questions with relative ease. He says that while his biggest goal is to be a good player and a good teammate, what he does off the field is much more important and that he is extremely proud of what his fame has allowed him to do with the Tebow Foundation, which works with orphaned, disadvantaged, and disabled children.

The young QB also talked about his spirituality a bit, touching on it after being asked what his core beliefs were, but he ended it by saying he was there to talk about the Jets, not his faith.

He says the experience of being traded to New York has been a “whirlwind”, mainly because the team acquired him without looking over his contract fully, which sparked talk of the trade not being completed.

When one reporter asked about his feelings on how he was treated by Denver–and if he understands the outrage on the part of his fans regarding it–Tebow said he wishes the Broncos nothing but the best and that they have one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

“It’ll be fun to play each other,” he said.

The newest Jet seems to have won over quite a few viewers, who appreciate his ease with speaking at such a big conference.

  • Tim Tebow Traded To New York Jets

Let the speculation end! The national drama is over! Tim Tebow has been traded to the New York Jets for a fourth-round pick. The drama began after free agent Peyton Manning decided he was going to sign a 5 yr, 96 million dollar contract with the Broncos. With the complete lock first ballot hall of famer Manning at the helm, there was no longer a need for Tebow.

The Big question now is how does this make Mark Sanchez feel? Can’t be too good because the second there is a slump, the Tebow-mania fans are going to start calling for Tim. But not everybody is ecstatic about this, Antonio Cromartie expressed his disapproval saying this on twitter yesterday:

  • Tebow Trade Rumors Persist; Peyton Manning Officially A Bronco

With the recent imminent deal between Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, the sports world has been flooded with speculation and rumors as to what the team will do with their current quarterback, Tim Tebow. Now that the announcement has been officially made that Manning is a Bronco, that speculation has only increased, due mainly in part to comments reportedly made by John Elway at today’s press conference, including his opinion that the Broncos would not be a “super bowl team” with Tebow starting.

Several teams are said to be interested in acquiring Tebow should he be released from Denver despite his recent reputation for erratic performance, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, which would place him in familiar territory. While no decisions have been made yet as to his fate, the talk of trades has swept around the NFL and was addressed in the press conference today.

“I know what kind of player Tim Tebow is, what kind of person he is, what an awesome year it was,” Manning said. “If Tim Tebow is here, I’m going to be the best teammate. If other opportunities are presented to him, I’m going to wish him the best.”

The 5-year, $96 million deal came with other perks for Manning as well; famed Broncos quarterback Frank Tripucka reportedly asked Peyton to take his old football number–18–so the team has brought it out of retirement just for him.

With so much in the news about Manning and his move to Denver, hype has spread to Twitter, where an unverified personal account for the athlete has been set up.

  • Tim Tebow Trade Rumors Abound After Manning Signs With Denver

After landing the most sought-after free agent in the NFL–Peyton Manning–the Denver Broncos are now rumored to be considering trading quarterback Tim Tebow rather than having him back up Manning, even after he helped lead them to the playoffs in 2011. The trade rumors have Tebow fans in an uproar and have garnered claims that he is being treated unfairly, since he was only given the chance to prove himself for a year. But it isn’t as if he’ll be cut loose for long; according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there are already some teams interested in picking up the young player.

Three teams to monitor as trade talks for Tim Tebow pick up: Jacksonville, Green Bay, San Francisco.(image) 2 hours ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

The Jacksonville Jaguars may be the team to watch as this plays out, since their location alone may be reason enough for Tebow to choose them. Brad Culpepper, former NFL defensive tackle and ex-Florida Gator, is good friends with Tim, and he and his wife, Monica, say they wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where Tebow ended up.

“Brad and I just had dinner with Tim last week and I don’t think this comes as a shock or surprise to him that Manning was actually going to go there,” Monica said in an interview. “And in all honesty, Tim said, ‘I miss home. I miss the South. And hopefully I’ll land somewhere in Florida.’ I sure hope Jacksonville takes him because he’s such a great kid, such a good player and would be so thrilled to come back to the South.”

Tebow’s teammates seem to be in full support of the direction they are moving in, led by John Elway. Linebacker Von Miller said, “As far as what Mr. Elways is doing, that is what you have to be doing to be successful in this league,” he said. “You can’t just put all your eggs in one basket. It’s all up to Tim. In my opinion, I feel like he can get it done. But, looking at it from Mr. Elway’s point of view, you always got to be defining your options. What’s the next thing? And that’s just how the league is today.”

Twitter reaction was mixed at first, but Tebow has quite a loyal following of fans and they have supported him through his changes over the years. Some Denver fans are now questioning where their own loyalties lie and some say that if these rumors are true, they will have to re-evaluate their support for the Broncos.

The young athlete definitely has a lot of people in his corner, from fans to the companies he works as a spokesman for. They’re making it clear that no matter where his career takes him, they will be behind him; Jockey issued a statement to TMZ yesterday when the rumor mill first began to churn, saying, “Jockey brought Tim Tebow on as a spokesperson before he took his first professional snap and even before he finalized his contract with an NFL team. Jockey supports him 100% and we look forward to continuing our great relationship with Tim.”
