  • The Undertaker To Serve In A New Role With The WWE

Vince McMahon is desperately searching for new talent. Currently, there are no real big names on the WWE roster like the legends from the past. There is no Hulk Hogan, no Stone Cold Steve Austin, no Rock. McMahon is trying to fix the situation, to make the WWE the brand that it used to be. So who better to call than The Undertaker, one of the biggest legends in the history of professional wrestling.

The Undertaker, 49, will be working in an adviser role for future WWE development. His part-time duties would include going to the Performance Center and offering advice to NXT talent pointers and “drive the WWE etiquette into developmental talents.” Basically, The Undertaker will take on the responsibility of letting future talent know what the WWE expects from them.

The Undertaker features an impressive resume for rookie talent to admire. He was a multiple WWE and World Heavyweight Champion, a six-time tag team champ, and won the Royal Rumble in 2007. He is often regarded as one of the pure legends of the WWE and a pioneer inside the ring.

The Undertaker also held one of the most impressive records in professional wrestling with 21 straight victories at WWE’s WrestleMania. The wrestling world was stunned when Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX in April of 2014.

Not only were fans amazed that The Undertaker’s streak came to an end, but many respected names inside the business were disappointed as well. Dave Batista was especially angry about Lesnar’s victory. He recently voiced his displeasure in an interview with the Huffington Post:

It sucked! Honestly, I thought it sucked. I haven’t really talked much about it but I think it was a bad decision, a horrible decision. I don’t have any say in the matter but to me, watching as a fan, it made me sick. Brock Lesnar beating him didn’t seem to work and it really wasn’t good that Brock left the day after. I just don’t see how that made sense at all. I don’t think anyone wanted to see the streak broken and it just didn’t make sense to me.

A fan favorite and a man who has earned the respect of his peers. The future talent of the WWE can certainly learn a lot from The Undertaker.

  • Brock Lesnar Taking Heat For Being A Part-Timer

Everyone knows that all good things must come to an end.

Back in April of 2014, Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30. The victory was beyond significant because it was The Undertaker’s first loss at Wrestlemania in 21 years.

The defeat rocked the WWE and shocked wrestling fans everywhere, who were more than expecting The Undertaker to extend his wrestling streak.

Since that time, Lesnar has taken a lot of heat. Fans are criticizing Lesnar’s management and creative team, calling him just a part-time WWE star. They think that since he broke The Undertaker’s coveted streak that he should devote more time in the ring.

Dave Batista, who is currently out promoting his new film Guardians of the Galaxy where he plays an outer-space warrior, has been especially vocal regarding The Undertaker’s streak being broken.

According to the Inquisitr, Batista is not alone in his thinking. Several full-time wrestlers are not happy with Lesnar’s part-time status. He has wrestled in only seven Pay-Per-View events since 2012. His record during that stretch is 5 – 2. His two losses were to John Cena and Triple H.

Now, Lesnar will be wrestling for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2014 on August 17 against John Cena. If Lesnar defeats Cena (which many think will happen) and straps on the belt expect the anti-Lesnar criticism to go through the roof.

  • Brock Lesnar: Is He Returning To WWE?

Brock Lesnar: Is He Returning To WWE?

Brock Lesnar is no doubt a monster in the ring, but many of his fans feel like he isn’t given the chance to show his full potential or power.

Lesnar has defeated some big name WWE stars, including the Undertaker earlier this year. Rumors of his return are swirling and are likely true.

The question isn’t a matter of if Lesnar will return to WWE, but when and what is the plan for him?

Lesnar’s success in the ring was often ignored by Vince McMahon and while many fans believe he deserved more big matches, he rarely got them.

Now that John Cena is busy filming his latest movies, the WWE has had to make some changes to their shows to accommodate his schedule. This has left some room for a backup wrestler, and rumor has it that backup may be Brock Lesnar.

Whether Brock will be brought in to “replace” Cena during his absences or to wrestle him for the title is still up for debate, but many people believe Lesnar’s return has something to do with John Cena.

John Cena winning the title wasn’t exactly what the WWE had planned. To fix things, they put Cena in a fatal four way match at Battleground which Hunter termed as plan A.

Hunter also had a plan B in case Cena came out of Battleground as champion and since Seth Rollins is so close to the Authority, he was considered as the plan B of the Authority now that he has a contract.

However, the latest rumors suggest that Hunter’s backup plan is none other than Brock Lesnar, who is scheduled to face Cena at SummerSlam. Lesnar aligning with the Authority is supposed to give him more heat than he already has and Rollins cashing in the contract might be put on hold until Lesnar returns.

Right now, Brock Lesnar’s future success may be hanging on a rumor and depending on John Cena’s plans. The fact that he has been considered for such a match is good news for him.

Regardless of whether he gets to headline Battleground 2014 or if he returns afterwards to take on Cena, there may be more opportunities coming his way and he may finally get the recognition that his fans believe he deserves.

  • Brock Lesnar: Why He’s A Perfect Plan B

Brock Lesnar: Why He’s A Perfect Plan B

    Let the speculation run amok!

Perhaps the only thing that professional wrestling fans like more than watching matches is discussing rumors and talking smack.

For the past few days, social media and wrestling websites have been abuzz over the speculation that Triple H will announce that his Plan B after Battleground will be none other than Brock Lesnar and not Seth Rollins.

Rumors initially began to circulate after Lesnar defeated The Undertaker. Yes, fans were crushed that the streak came to an end, however we can’t deny Lesnar’s massive presence in the ring.

There are plenty of reasons why making Lesnar Plan B is a good idea. The Inquisitr provides six very compelling arguments. But, let’s start at the very basics. What makes the WWE so great is the tension that the characters create. Bringing in Lesnar as Plan B will ultimately create incredible friction.

Additionally, if Lesnar is Plan B, it could possibly bring Cesaro back into the fold. A Cesaro versus Lesnar match sounds like a tasty battle.

But what about putting John Cena in a place where he totally shines…as the underdog. “Cena always works best when the cards are stacked against him. That’s when he’s at his most likable. Plus, he has a tense history with Lesnar in WWE programming, and putting him up against the former UFC Heavyweight Champion would be one heck of a mountain for the original doctor of thuganomics.”

  • Brock Lesnar Rumored As “Plan B”

Brock Lesnar was the name on everyone’s lips after he took on The Undertaker and defeated him earlier this year, breaking a long streak of wins and prompting controversy after it was rumored that the veteran wrestler suffered a real concussion during the match. Since then, his name has been batted around as a “plan B” should John Cena come out the victor at WWE Battleground 2014, rather than Seth Rollins.

According to Sportskeeda, it’s a major rumor floating around that the Authority has a backup plan for everything:

“John Cena winning the title wasn’t clearly what the Authority had in their mind. And to make matters right, they put Cena in a fatal four way match at Battleground which Hunter termed as plan A. He also revealed that he had a plan B in case Cena came out of Battleground as champion and since Seth Rollins is so close to the Authority, he was considered as the plan B of the Authority now that he has a contract in his hands. However, the latest rumors suggest that Hunter’s backup plan is none other than Brock Lesnar who is scheduled to face Cena at SummerSlam. Lesnar aligning with the Authority is supposed to give him more heat than he already has and Rollins cashing in the contract might be put on hold ’til Lesnar returns back to hibernation.”

Lesnar is expected to appear at SummerSlam and Night of Champions, and there is also talk of him showing up at Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 31, but those dates have not been confirmed.

  • Brock Lesnar Begs Dana White For A Favor

Brock Lesnar Begs Dana White For A Favor

Brock Lesnar will be the first to admit that he doesn’t have a lot of close friends. However, there is one guy that Brock feels is worth his time and effort.

Former UFC fighter Pat Berry recently came out of retirement to fight in the kickboxing Glory World Series, but recently suffered a first-round-knockout. That is why Brock is trying his hardest to get his friend to go back into retirement.

Brock feels so strongly about this matter that he contacted the UFC president Dana White in hopes that he would be able to convince Berry to give the sport up. “Brock Lesnar called me and begged me to make [Pat Barry] retire,” White said and then added, ““He said, ‘I don’t consider too many people my friend, and I consider Pat Barry a friend. Dana, you got to get this guy to retire.’”

White said that he explained to Brock that it is tough to make someone who needs to make a living fighting retire. “I said, ‘Listen, he’s a grown man Brock. What am I gonna do?’ It’s different with guys like Forrest (Griffin) and Chuck (Liddell), guys that I’ve had relationships with for a long time. Guys who have made a lot of money. That’s the difference. You look at guys like Forrest. Forrest and Chuck are multimillionaires. It’s easy to make them quit.”

“It’s a lot tougher to make a guy quit that has to make a living,” White continued. “I don’t want to hurt Pat Barry or throw a monkey wrench in his life or anything, but at the end of the day, the state athletic commission is gonna need to step in and help a guy like Pat Barry retire… or people that care about him.”

Berry’s final fight in the UFC Octagon was in December 2013. Prior to that, Berry lost four out of his six fights by knock-out.

  • Brock Lesnar Is Not Returning To The UFC

Brock Lesnar Is Not Returning To The UFC

The first rumors surrounding Brock Lesnar’s return to the UFC started back in December, and remained quiet, until January, when UFC president Dana White didn’t deny them. While many hoped to see the former heavyweight champion return to the UFC octagon, White has finally put the rumors to rest stating that Lesnar will NOT be coming back to fight.

White addressed the rumors during the UFC 169 post-fight press conference in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday, revealing that the UFC does not have a deal with Lesnar and that they didn’t expect him to return anytime soon. “No, Brock Lesnar is not coming back,” White said. “Brock Lesnar is not fighting. Does he want to come back? We’ve talked about him wanting to come back.”

“He feels like he wasn’t 100-percent while he was here,” White continued. “He feels like he sold himself a little short, and all the stuff that I’ve told you before. But no, he’s not. We have no deal with Brock Lesnar. He’s not coming back anytime soon.”

Despite Alistair Overeem calling him out after his win during UFC 169, it has been confirmed that he will not be taking on the challenge. “I heard there’s word that Brock Lesnar is coming back to the UFC. Well, I’ll be here waiting for him,” Overeem said.

Overeem was the last opponent that Lesnar fought in the UFC. The referee stopped their fight during the first round on Dec. 30, 2011.

During his time with the UFC, Lesnar fought a different battle with Diverticulitis, an intense stomach disease. Before his fight with Overeem, Lesnar had surgery to remove over a foot of his colon.

Lesnar later retired, after losing to Overeem, and currently has a contract with the WWE, and will remain with them until at least 2015, including WrestleMania 31.

  • Brock Lesnar UFC Rumors Resurface

Just when you thought the Brock Lesnar returning to the UFC rumors had died down, UFC president Dana White starts fueling them again. White recently revealed that he talks to Lesnar regularly, and that Lesnar returning to the UFC is a “definite possibility.”

The Lesnar rumors started a little over a month ago when it was believed that Lesnar would show up at the UFC 168 in Las Vegas. When asked if he would be meeting with Lesnar after the UFC 168 post-conference, White said, “Really? I don’€™t know. I honestly don’€™t know.” “Honestly?” the reporter asked. “€œHonestly,”€ White replied. However, when Lesnar appeared on WWE only two nights later, it was believed that the Lesnar returning to the UFC talk was all a publicity stunt.

Now, White has revealed some interesting details that are stirring up speculation once again. “Do we talk? Yeah, me and Brock talk,” said White. “I said recently that he’s said that he has some regrets with MMA because he wasn’t healthy because he was going through those stomach problems the whole time that he was here. So he has regrets.”

“It’s interesting. He became the heavyweight champion with diverticulitis. What would he have done without it? And he was, from the first day that he fought in the UFC until his last fight, he was suffering from it,” White continued. “He never felt right and just didn’t know why, and then it really hit him. So he feels like he was fighting here at 40-percent.”

“He thinks a Brock Lesnar who is 100-percent could have done much better. I told him, you’re out of your (expletive) mind. You came in here with one fight and you became the heavyweight champion,” said the UFC president. “It was fun having Brock here. He has some regrets, and would he like to fight again? I’m sure he would. So we’ll see how this whole thing plays out. It’s definitely a possibility.”

Lesnar hasn’t fought in the UFC since losing to Alistair Overeem on Dec. 30, 2011, when the ref stopped the fight in the first round.

  • Brock Lesnar Returns To WWE After 4 Months

Last week, rumors began circulating that Brock Lesnar would be returning to the UFC. However, the rumors were obviously false, seeing as how Brock has since returned to the WWE.

The rumors were simply a publicity stunt to generate buzz around Lesnar for his return to the WWE. The company says that announcing Lesnar’s return was always planned for December 30, they just didn’t announce or advertise it so that they could surprise the fans.

Lesnar, 36, hasn’t fought in the UFC since losing to Alistair Overeem on Dec. 30, 2011, when the ref stopped the fight in the first round. Before his last fight, Lesnar made a promise to his wife that if he won he would fight once more for a title, but if he lost he would retire. He held up his end of the deal, and retired.

Dana White helped to fuel the rumors by never denying them. When asked if he would be meeting with Lesnar in Las Vegas after the UFC 168 post-conference, White said, “Really? I don’€™t know. I honestly don’€™t know.” “Honestly?” the reporter asked. “€œHonestly,”€ White replied. However, the last time rumors circulated about Lesnar’s possible return to the UFC, White confirmed that he “was never coming back.”

Even if the UFC rumors had any truth behind them, it wouldn’t be possible for Lesnar. He remains under a WWE contract until April 2015. “WWE has exclusive rights to services (to Lesnar) and such exclusivity extends to ultimate fighting competitions,” said a WWE official.

  • Brock Lesnar Rumors Abound; Potential Return to UFC

In 2007, Brock Lesnar shocked the worlds of both professional wrestling and mixed martial arts when he made a successful jump from the WWE to the octagon, defeating Min Soon Kim in just 69 seconds (TKO due to strikes). Lesnar would continue his unprecedented success-story by going 4-1 in his next 5 fights and obtaining the UFC Heavyweight Championship in only his 4th fight ever.

However, Lesnar’s success would be short-lived. After successfully defending his title twice, Lesnar suffered his second loss in a first round TKO against Cain Velasquez. Proving that this loss against Velasquez was no fluke, Lesnar was once again defeated in the first round by Alistair Overeem. These two losses, combined with Lesnar’s constant bouts with diverticulitis (an intestinal affliction), led the former WWE star and college wrestling champion to retire from the octagon.

Or so we thought (and perhaps wished). The most recent buzz surrounding the UFC is not Saturday night’s rematch between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman, but rather the potential return of Brock Lesnar.

Following the UFC 168 post-fight press conference, Dana White, the president of the UFC, was asked to validate the truthfulness of the rumors hinting that he and Lesnar were to meet in Las Vegas this weekend:

“Really? I don’€™t know. I honestly don’€™t know,”€ stated White. “Honestly?” the reporter questioned. “€œHonestly,”€ White replied.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiUPxVlHIqQ

While one would like to trust the statements made by White, one can’t.

Lesnar’s camp has always been known for its secrecy. If Lesnar and his associates requested a confidential meeting to discuss a potential return with White, White would have to respond as he did.

Along with the propensity of Lesnar to be secretive, White has serious business reasons to bring Lesnar back. Currently, the UFC is missing some of its biggest stars: UFC Heavyweight Champ Cain Velasquez, who defeated Lesnar to take the title in 2010, is due to be gone for an entire year due to a shoulder injury. Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis is also out due to an injury. And perhaps most importantly, UFC superstar Georges St-Pierre is currently on a hiatus, leaving a huge void in the UFC lineup.

If Lesnar returned to the ring, he would most certainly stuff the pockets of White and the UFC with mucho dinero. The four matches in which Lesnar won the title and and made defenses were four of the most-watched UFC matches of all time, breaking the 1 million buy mark each time – a UFC record.

Until White comes on record and states that Lesnar is returning, the rumor-mill will continue. It is worth remembering, however, that the last time the rumor-mill fired up concerning Lesnar’s return, that White stated that Lesnar was “never coming back.”
