  • Jennifer Aniston Admits to Liking Breast Milk

Jennifer Aniston apparently tried some of Jimmy Kimmel’s wife Molly McNearney’s breast milk and found it to taste pretty good. The former Friends star says she’s not the least bit squeamish so didn’t hesitate for a moment to try the breast milk. This goes against the grain of her Friends character Rachel who found the notion of pals Phoebe and Joey trying breast milk to be completely disgusting.

Aniston visited Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show on Wednesday while promoting her upcoming film Life of Crime. While there the two discussed the breast milk sampling.

“It’s like the one milk you don’t have to feel guilty about drinking,” Jennifer Aniston told Jimmy Kimmel. “It’s like no, that dairy is OK. But I had some of Molly’s.”

“I didn’t know if you wanted me to mention that but you did have some,” Kimmel responded. “You breastfed my wife.”

“I didn’t breastfeed her. She breastfed me!” Aniston said, correcting him. “It’s sweet, it’s almost coconut-milky. Come on, someone must’ve tasted breast milk in this audience?”

Jennifer Aniston also admitted to Jimmy Kimmel that in addition to not being squeamish about tasting breast milk, she is also not squeamish about being in the delivery room when friends are giving birth.

“I’ve been to many of my girlfriends’ deliveries,” the engaged actress revealed. “I think it’s extraordinary, it’s a miracle.”

It seems some people might actually find drinking breast milk makes them a bit more squeamish than witnessing a birth, but that is truly an individual choice.

Are you surprised to learn that Jennifer Aniston drank Jimmy Kimmel’s wife’s breast milk? Would you give it a try if given the opportunity or would you consider that a ‘for baby only’ staple instead?

  • Alicia Silverstone To Help Breastfeeding Moms By Sharing

Alicia Silverstone wants every mom to have the chance to give their children the best start they can, which includes breast feeding; but some women have trouble producing breast milk, no matter how much they might want to. That’s where her new service, Kind Mama Milk Share, comes in.

The former “Clueless” actress posted a blog entry about it recently and says the service is for vegan moms who are having a bit of trouble.

“A couple weeks ago, another mama I know gave birth to a son. She e-mailed to let me know how things were going, and she was beside herself. She’d tried to do everything so that this baby would have the healthiest, happiest start in life — she nourished herself during pregnancy with clean, kind foods; had a beautiful home birth; and planned to breastfeed from now until her son could say, ‘No thanks.’ But because of a breast reduction surgery, she found she wouldn’t be able to make enough milk for him, no matter how much precious boobie time they spent together. She tried reaching out in her community for donor milk, but it was almost impossible to figure out what kind of lifestyle choices the donors had made. And after all that hard work keeping herself vibrant and healthy, she felt she had a right to demand better for her baby. A lot of women unfortunately have a similar struggle, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be able to give their babies the most amazing start in life with clean, mean, glorious breast milk. And because we are a community of beautiful souls who recognize the importance of food as health, I say we help support those mamas and babies who need a hand during one of the most important times in their lives. It’s why I’m starting the Kind Mama Milk Share, a way for moms to connect with other moms in their area. If you have milk to share–post it! If you are in need of milk — post it! Think of all the babies we can help raise together!”

Silverstone is a very hands-on parent and drew controversy her way last year when a video of her pre-chewing her son’s food for him and spitting it into his mouth went viral.

“I can understand that it would make some people feel uncomfortable, possibly, because it’s new to them,” she said in her defense. “But I do want to let you know that this has been going on for thousands of years — still going on all over the place — and it’s natural.”
