  • Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Looks Just Like Angelina Jolie

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt bears a striking resemblance to her mom, Angelina Jolie–at least when Angie was younger. Shiloh attended the L.A. premiere of Angelina’s film Unbroken last week, and since then Hollywood has been abuzz about how much she looks like her famous mom.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt does have her dad Brad Pitt’s sun-kissed blonde locks and baby blue eyes, but according to most people’s opinions, looks a lot more like Angelina Jolie than Brad Pitt. Angie and her daughter share the same high cheekbones, wide eyes, slightly upturned nose, and—most distinctly—plump lips.

A number of people do feel Shiloh looks more like Brad than Angie. Us Weekly conducted a poll, asking readers which of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s parents she most resembles. How would you have voted? The results said 19, 681 people–or 81 percent–felt she looked far more like Angelina Jolie. A mere 4693 people–or just 19 percent of the vote–said she looked more like her dad.

Despite how much Shiloh Jolie-Pitt looks like her mom, she has yet to develop her mom’s ladylike tendencies. Neither has sister Zahara, however. Angelina Jolie brought Shiloh and Zahara to a photo shoot recently. Rather than being enthralled with what they saw on the set of the shoot, the girls were far more interested in something they saw that they thought would be fun to skateboard on.

“Mom? I saw this thing over there. Can I skateboard on it?” Shiloh asked, referring to a freshly painted cyclorama.

Angelina Jolie turned down the request.

It’s not unusual at all for daughters the ages of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and sister Zahara to not have interest yet in what their famous parents do for work. There’s no denying, though, that although Shiloh isn’t ready to commit to a Hollywood lifestyle, she definitely looks a lot like her mom.

  • Jennifer Aniston Can Now Relinquish Her Tabloid Reign

Jennifer Aniston would like you to know that we can stop fretting over her. She appreciates all the concern we’ve heaped on her in the years since Friends, through the Brad Pitt era, across all those tabloids.

She’s good now. She’s rich. And she has a great boyfriend in Justin Theroux.

“Not only is he a great actor,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar, “but he’s one of the best comedy writers out there. And he directs and paints murals. And I just think it’s so attractive to be that good at so many things and to have no ego. He’s one of the most humble, decent human beings. He’s not an ass. He’s not like some of our friends who are young and up-and-coming and they hit celebrity, and all of a sudden you’re like, ‘Oh! You’re different. Now you don’t say hi to people?’ “.

Over the years of all that checkout aisle attention and rumor milling, Aniston had to develop some tough skin. But she also learned to just let it all go.

“It’s the detachment from it,” says the avowed transcendental meditator. “There was a part of me that used to get very upset. I was guilty of getting too up in arms about stuff that wasn’t real, phantom boxing with something that’s not even there. Now I’d rather just focus on people and things that are here, happening, and what’s yet to come. My friends, my family, wonderful people I work with. We know what the real is.”

Even those tongue-wags get a pass from Aniston now.

“I think it’s extremely important to forgive,” she insists. “Otherwise it just builds up like toxic waste. There’s nothing worse than holding a grudge. Listen, people can do unforgivable things, but you have to let it go and say, ‘Look, we’re all human beings. We make mistakes.’ To hold any kind of resentment is like taking rat poison and waiting for the rat to die.”

Her perspective on her life, being real, loving people who aren’t full of themselves, and being positive about her age give Aniston a philosophy that keeps her happy.

“There are moments when you have to stop and pinch yourself and go, ‘I’m here. I did something good.’”

  • Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Wrote Letters Only as they Worked on Separate WWII Films

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Wrote Letters Only as they Worked on Separate WWII Films

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been together since 2005. They have a slew of kids, by birth and by adoption, and have worked out a routine and an understanding that works for both of them as actors, parents, and spouses.

In August of this year they married. Angeline Jolie said that her kids wrote their wedding vows.

“They did not expect us never to fight,” Jolie recently told Vanity Fair, “but they made us promise to always say, ‘Sorry,’ if we do. So they said, ‘Do you?,’ and we said, ‘We do!’”

Pitt recently told Hello! Canada that he did not realize that being married would do something to his relationship besides just the experience of a ceremony.

“We have six kids and our kids were asking [about a wedding], so we thought it would be a lovely thing to do with our family, and it was. But I was surprised afterwards that it is more than just a ceremony. I was surprised by the furthering of the depth of commitment.”

Pitt’s latest film Fury is set on World War II battlefields of Europe. Meanwhile, Jolie was working on directing her own film Unbroken, set in the Pacific theatre of the same war. Pitt says they chose to communicate in a unique way while they both worked on opposite sides of the world.

“We have email and we have Skype, but we thought it might be interesting to just write letters, as they had to at that time. They were gone for great amounts of time without communication with their loved ones, and we did that. I will tell you what’s amazing: you do communicate in a different way. It was an interesting and lovely surprise.”

Sine they have six kids, and normally do not take on principal role work at the same time, how did they handle these projects with the family?

“I would have half the kids with me and she would have half with her and we would find ways to figure out the conjugal visits and all that, but it was logistically challenging. I don’t want to do it again, let me just say that.”

  • Angelina Jolie Says She Could Get into Politics

Angelina Jolie is on the cover of Vanity Fair. Jolie and long-time boyfriend Brad Pitt were married in a surprise ceremony back in August. In the Vanity Fair piece, Jolie tells about the wedding, among other tidbits.

She said that the couple’s children wrote their wedding vows for them.

“They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, ‘Sorry,’ if we do. So they said, ‘Do you?,’ and we said, ‘We do!’ ”

Jolie is known for her humanitarian work. She is a special envoy to the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which brings her in close contact with political realities around the world. She knows that working within the political world could enable her to do more in that regard. She said that she is “open” to possibly pursuing a life in politics.

“When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered,” she said in the interview. “Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility.” Jolie then catches herself. “But I honestly don’t know in what role I would be more useful—I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible.”

Jolie’s political aspirations bring to mind her own father, actor Jon Voight, in some regards. Voight is an avid conservative who has criticized actors who speak against Israel regarding the conflict with Palestine. When Voight spoke to Bill O’Reilly on Fox News in 2007, he said he did not know what Jolie’s politics were.

“Your politics are more conservative than hers,” O’Reilly asked, “would you say?”

“I would say so, Voight replied, but added “I don’t know really exactly her politics.”

Perhaps Jolie’s politics can be divined by what she does. But if her accomplishments show anything, it is that she eschews hard positions in favor of helping. According to a profile of her on the UNHCR website:

    – In 2005, she launched the National Centre for Refugee and Immigrant Children, an organization that provides free legal aid to young asylum-seekers.

    – In 2007, Jolie became a member of the influential Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Jolie has since funded various CFR special reports, including the “Intervention to Stop Mass Atrocities and Genocide.”

    – Following several visits to Haiti in 2010, she established the Jolie Legal Fellows Program to enhance government capacity around the rule of law. The program places young lawyers within the existing structures in Haiti to support the government’s child protection efforts.

    – In 2003, she was the first recipient of the Citizen of the World Award by the United Nations Correspondents Association, and in 2005 she was awarded the Global Humanitarian Award by the United Nations Association of the USA and the Business Council for the United Nations for her work with refugees.

  • Shia LaBeouf ‘Becomes’ Christian; Or Did He?

Shia LaBeouf ‘Becomes’ Christian; Or Did He?

Sometimes it’s tough to tell if Shia Labeouf is pulling all our legs or if he’s really that guy walking around with an unkempt beard, wearing Uggs, grabbing Alan Cumming’s ass.

The Transformers star has had some negative press of late for his antics, such as wearing a brown paper bag to a press conference, or getting arrested for disrupting a performance of Cabaret.

But he says his recent experience in filming Fury with Brad Pitt changed him. In fact, he says, he became a Chirstian.

“I found God doing Fury,” he told Interview Magazine.

“I became a Christian man, and not in a fucking bullshit way—in a very real way. I could have just said the prayers that were on the page. But it was a real thing that really saved me. And you can’t identify unless you’re really going through it. It’s a full-blown exchange of heart, a surrender of control. And while there’s beauty to that, acting is all about control. So that was a wild thing to navigate.

“I had good people around me who helped me. Brad [Pitt] was really instrumental in guiding my head through this. Brad comes from a hyper-religious, very deeply Christian, Bible Belt life, and he rejected it and moved toward an unnamed spirituality. He looked at religion like the people’s opium, almost like a Marxist view on religion.

“Whereas [Fury writer-director] David [Ayers] is a full subscriber to Christianity. But these two diametrically opposed positions both lead to the same spot, and I really looked up to both men. It was nice to have conversations with Brad about the family he came from and what he was using to get through the day.”

While many news outlets are reporting that LaBeouf is now a follower of Christ, not everyone is buying it. For example, WNG, a Christian news website, is not taking LaBeouf literally on this.

“But in reading the entirety of LaBeouf’s comments in context, it becomes clear that there is another way to interpret them that isn’t quite so headline worthy. Rather than making a personal declaration of his devotion to Christ, the actor could have been merely commenting on his immersive style of acting.

“LaBeouf is a well-known method actor—a technique where the performer tries to simulate the psychological motives, behavior, mannerisms, and thought patterns of a character so deeply that he essentially becomes that character.”

So, perhaps LaBeouf’s statement should be understood to have “air quotes” around it?

Regardless of any conversion, LaBeouf admits that he has been a handful to deal with for a while, and says that multiple people have tried to talk him down, help him deal with his fame and success in a a calmer way.

“Ben Affleck [told me], ‘Keep your head on straight, kid, and don’t let all this get to you.’

“Spielberg was the next guy to try—I remember him saying to me, ‘Tom Cruise never picks his nose in public.’”

  • Jennifer Aniston Issues Marriage Ultimatum, Chelsea Handler Sick of It

Jennifer Aniston has reportedly issued an ultimatum to fiance Justin Theroux. The two have been engaged for more than two years now, and the former Friends star is seemingly tiring of the long engagement.

“Jen has given Justin until the end of the year and then she’ll be seriously considering whether they should be together. She’s even told him she would consider a quickie wedding because she knows how much he hates the idea of having a big ceremony,” the Belfast Telegraph reports.

Even Chelsea Handler is getting sick of the long engagement. Jennifer Aniston’s BFF says she’s tired of everyone asking her about it.

“Everywhere I go, people ask me about Jennifer Aniston’s wedding. Do you know what it’s like to walk down a red carpet and [reporters] go ‘When are Jen and Justin [Theroux] getting married?’ like I’m in charge of that,” she said.

Those close to Jennifer Aniston fear if she actually issues this ultimatum to Justin Theroux that she might regret it. They also realize that she is driven to tie the knot sooner than later due in part to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s recent wedding as well as Friends costar Courteney Cox’s recent engagement to Snow Patrol front man Johnny McDaid.

Glamour UK says the couple is preparing for a secret wedding.

It sort of sounds like Jennifer Aniston is afraid of being left in the proverbial wedding dust. And who can really blame her? It’s not like she and Justin Theroux are kids. There’s nothing standing in the way of the two taking that proverbial walk down the aisle. She has waited more than two years. Maybe Justin’s time should be up.

If Aniston issues that ultimatum, do you think Justin Theroux will go ahead and help plan a wedding–or might he go the opposite route instead–and break their engagement?

  • Scott Eastwood, Brad Pitt Had Words On “Fury” Set

Scott Eastwood is among the stars of the upcoming film Fury, and he had to take on a nasty habit during the film that almost got him into a fight with Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf.

In one scene, Eastwood’s character was in a tank with the other two actors and started spitting tobacco juice on the floor, which angered Pitt.

“We were driving down the road, I’m in the turret, Shia is at the other turret, and Scott is on the back, spitting juice. And I’m starting to get pissed off, I’m starting to get hot, because this is our home, he’s disrespecting our home, you know? So I said, in the scene with the cameras rolling, ‘You’re going to clean that (bleep) up,” Pitt told GQ.

What Pitt and LaBeouf didn’t realize was that Eastwood was supposed to be spitting…it even said so in the script. Luckily, no blows were thrown and the actors realized their mistake after the scene was over; Eastwood has even said since production wrapped that he looks up to Pitt, whom he called kind and humble.

“The funny thing is, when we got home at the end of the day and read the script, it said Scotty’s character is ‘chewing tobacco and spitting it on the back of the tank.’ He was just doing as instructed in the script! So we were the knobs in the end….”

Pitt also spoke in the interview about his family life; the newlywed said that he’s “slowing down” when it comes to acting in order to spend time with his kids.

“I’ve been slowing down for a while now. And slowly transitioning to other things. And, truthfully, I do want to spend more time with my kids before they’re grown up and gone…I’m actually very snobbish about directors. I have to say no all the time. ‘No’ is the most powerful word in our business. You’ve got to protect yourself… To leave home, it’s got to be worth leaving. It’s got to be worth it,” he said.

Fury premieres in theaters October 17.

  • Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt: MIA from George Clooney Wedding?

Was Sandra Bullock conspicuously missing from George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding in Italy this weekend, along with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? If so, this no doubt comes as a surprise to those who have followed both Clooney’s personal life and career throughout the years. All summer long a variety of tabloid publications insisted that Brad Pitt would serve as George Clooney’s best man, but that reportedly wasn’t the case either.

The Chicago Tribune mentions Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt as having been on the purported guest list. They interviewed a Miami, Florida resident who was visiting Venice, who was hanging out near the site of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding in hopes of getting a peak at some of the rumored guests on the list.

“They talked about Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie. It would be cool to see any of them, all of them,” the visitor said.

Sandra Bullock and George Clooney recently starred in the hit film Gravity together. Hollywood rumors pegged them as a great match after her marriage to Jesse James failed, but they insisted they were very close friends and colleagues and not interested in dating one another. Brad Pitt and George Clooney have long been close buddies.

Might it be possible that Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie were, in fact, at George Clooney’s wedding? It simply might be that photos from the nuptials have yet to all be shared with the media.

Meanwhile, Sandra Bullock has dyed her hair back to brunette. Just a few days ago she went blonde–perhaps for a film role?

Bullock will reportedly be filming a movie in Puerto Rico with George Clooney in the near future.

Perhaps Sandra Bullock simply wasn’t recognized at George Clooney’s wedding because people were expecting her to sport the blonde locks she debuted late last week. (Do you think she dispelled the notion that blondes have more fun?) Is it possible she really was there–along Brad and Angie, too?

  • Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Brad Pitt To Star In Martin Scorsese Short For Studio City Casino

It’s a cast destined for greatness. Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Brad Pitt starring in any movie together for the first time should pique filmgoers’ interest. The fact that it’s all three of these big stars’s first time together on screen while being directed by Martin Scorsese, makes it a potential hit. The writer, Terence Winter, who penned The Wolf of Wall Street, makes this project more and more enticing. MTV said this movie might be “Scorsese’s answer to Ocean’s Eleven, or a long-awaited sequel to his own Casino.”

When does this movie come out? Next year, but you won’t be able to see it in theaters in the United States. You’ll have to go to Macau for that.

According to Deadline, the short film has been commissioned by Melco-Crown Entertainment for the opening of their latest casino, Studio City. Although, the internet being what it is, non-international traveling movie fans will most likely be able to watch the movie on their computers and mobile devices sometime next year.

Independent News and Media reported that the film will promote Melco-Crown’s expansion globally, so the chances of the film being released online are pretty good since the company is looking to establish its global brand. Executive Producer James Parker said his aim is “to bring together Western and Eastern culture.”

Macau is a fitting place for such a meeting. Not only does the island have a long history bridging the East and West, but they are also one of the gambling capitals of the world:

So if you’re looking to see a casino themed Scorsese movie starring De Nino, you may be stuck watching 1995’s Casino for the time being, which Indiewire recently called one of De Niro’s best performances.

  • Angelina Jolie: Her Kids Helped Design Her Versace Wedding Dress

The Hollywood power couple of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt truly made their recent secret wedding a family affair by getting their six children to play important roles. The inclusion of the Jolie-Pitt children in wedding preparations seemed perfect, since they were reportedly part of the reason why the long-time partners finally wed on August 23 in France.

Far from being the cliché “bridezilla,” Jolie allowed her kids to have a hand in one important decision: the design of her wedding gown. According to People, the actor-director asked Atelier Versace’s master tailor Luigi Massi to design her white gown. Her children’s artworks were then emblazoned on the bride’s veil and the back of her dress.

“Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress. He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together,” said Jolie.

Pitt, meanwhile, wore a dark suit from his own closet and borrowed a tie from one of his sons because he had reportedly forgotten his own.

At the ceremony, each child also played a special role. Maddox and Pax both walked their mother down the aisle after flower girls Zahara and Vivienne scattered petals gathered from flowers in the garden of Jolie and Pitt’s chateau Miraval estate in Correns. Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers, while older brother Pax had also baked the wedding cake.

“It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family,” the couple said to People.

Jolie also took the time to honor her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, at her wedding. Bertrand had passed away in 2007 due to ovarian cancer. Jolie told People that her husband had engraved a dedication to her mother in the chapel where they held their ceremony and that they both stood on a stone with a tribute etched onto it when they said, “I do.”

Jolie added that she and her brother James Haven honored their mother further by wearing pieces of her jewelry at the wedding.

  • Susan Sarandon on Instant Fame, Social Media Feeding Frenzy and the Need for Legalized Marijuana

Susan Sarandon has to be one of the most authentically outspoken actresses around.

In a recent in-depth interview with the Hollywood Reporter for the release of her new film, Florence, the Oscar-winning actress dished on insta-fame, the social media feeding frenzy and the need for legalized marijuana.

According to Sarandon, there are really two types of celebrities in Hollywood these days — those who legitimately work because of the craft of acting, and those who need the attention and fame.

“We’re living in a world where mediocrity is rewarded,” said the 67-year-old actress. “If that’s not your focus, then you’re looking for the heat, to be validated by people you don’t necessarily respect or know, and so you’ve got yourself in a difficult, self-perpetuating, crazy ass feeding cycle. I’ve worked with a lot of young actors on the brink, and you can definitely see the difference between someone like Jake Gyllenhaal who is always interested in the work and do character parts, or Brad Pitt who could’ve gotten by just being pretty, who are really serious about trying different things. They like being an actor. It’s not just being famous.”

The Thelma and Louise actress explained that it’s all about being famous now and seeking a worthy endeavor is no longer the goal.

“I think we help people become famous for ten minutes now — it’s not even fifteen — so easily and constantly, that the goal has switched from finding something that you like to do to being famous,” Sarandon told the Hollywood Reporter. “I think it’s great that people are posting all kinds of things that they do, but some of them are just not really very worthy for that rush of all eyes on you.”

Sarandon conceded that she too falls prey to the social media feeding frenzy.

“I even find myself, since my dog has a Twitter account, an obligation to post every now and then,” she said. “It becomes like a whole other pet or something that you have to feed and be aware of! It’s such an interesting time in terms of what media has done.”

Sarandon concluded that it’s because of the constant need be on social media that marijuana should be legalized and regulated as a means to disconnect from the need to be online.

“One of the reasons I’m such a champion of the legalization and regulation of marijuana is that I feel that people need to disconnect from constantly being on — checking all the time, all the time, all the time,” Sarandon told the Hollywood Reporter. “Twitter and all these different outlets in themselves aren’t bad, but it becomes very hard to be present, and that’s what the goal has to be: to be authentic, kind and present, and if you could accomplish those three things, I think it’s a life well-lived.”

  • George Clooney Was Beat to the Altar by Friend Brad Pitt, But He Couldn’t Be Happier

Despite predictions from Angelina Jolie that George Clooney and his fiancé, Amal Alamuddin, would beat them to the aisle, the stunning actress and her new husband, Brad Pitt, were actually the first to say “I do.”

And Clooney couldn’t be happier for his friend and reported best man and his new wife.

The Oscar-winning actor told E! News of the ridiculously good-looking couple’s weekend wedding, “How great is that?! I’m really happy for Brad and Angie and their whole family.”

In a May 2014 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jolie was asked which couple would marry first, to which the mother of six responded, “Probably George!”

With few details coming from the wedding that transpired in France on Aug. 23, it’s unknown if Clooney and Alamuddin attended the intimate nuptials.

As for Clooney and his bride-to-be, they continue to prepare for their wedding, which some reports say will likely take place at Clooney’s Italian villa at Lake Como, Italy within the month. It’s been several months since the couple first obtained their marriage license in London. However, since they plan to marry in Italy as noted on their marriage license, there are a few additional requirements from that country they need to take care of, like getting documents legalized and translated.

A source told E! News earlier this month it should only take a matter of days to complete the clerical requirements.

Soon it will be Clooney‘s turn to say “I do” at his beloved Lake Como holiday home.

“George has always loved Como, he finds it very peaceful and relaxing and now Amal has fallen in love with the area as well,” a source told E! News about Clooney’s reported choice to marry at his Italian getaway, Villa Oleandra, in Laglio. “They want to start their married life there with the beautiful lake as a backdrop. George’s home on the lake is like a very well oiled machine. He has the local mayor fully on his side and the locals too and he can ensure that press and paparazzi are kept away.”

  • Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Married in Paris

It’s official. According to USA Today, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt tied the knot in France this past weekend. A spokesperson for the couple has confirmed this. The two wed in a small, private ceremony that was attended by a handful of family members and very close friends.

Angelina Jolie was reportedly escorted down the aisle by sons Maddox, who is thirteen, and Pax, who is ten. Daughters Zahara and Vivienne, who are nine and six, respectively, threw rose petals for their famous mom. Daughter Shiloh, eight, and son Knox, six, served as ring bearers.

The Jolie-Pitt family is said to have arrived in France on Friday, and locals assumed they were en route to their Chateau Miraval. There were no hints at all that something even bigger and better was in store.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got engaged back in 2012, and much speculation has ensued since then as to where and when–if ever–the two would tie the knot.

ABC News reports that a California judge helped obtain the marriage license, and traveled to France to conduct the wedding ceremony.

Brad Pitt–who has long been a close friend of George Clooney’s–will no doubt be ribbing his buddy before too long. Even though Clooney is engaged and soon to wed Amal Alamuddin, Pitt still beat George Clooney to the altar.

It will be interesting to see which publication prints the first photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s wedding. Whichever one the couple chooses will no doubt have paid a hefty fee to get them.

  • Brad Pitt To Star In New Movie Directed By Angelina Jolie

Hollywood’s ultimate power couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, are going to work together again for the first time since 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the film that many believe sparked their relationship. The film By The Sea is written and will be directed by Jolie, who will also be directing her partner Pitt who will stars in the movie with her. By The Sea will be shot on Gonzo, Malta’s second largest island, and Mgarr ix-Xini beach was closed to the public on Sunday to start filming, which will run through November 10 of this year.

Jolie revealed to the Inquirer that the decision to work closely with Pitt on the film wasn’t easy. “We have been shy of it for quite a few years because it’s very heavy, about a relationship, people going through and surviving a lot together. It’s not easy. So we were nervous about being able to handle the material as actors and to take it on together,” she said.

She has described Pitt as “extremely supportive,” saying he was willing to have her direct him in the film and that they were both interested in different aspects of making it. Pitt will also be joining Jolie as a producer of the film.

By The Sea is an intimate, character-driven film that sources say will have Jolie and Pitt’s characters getting married at one point in the story. Universal has already bought the rights to it, trusting in Jolie’s experience with directing the Golden Globe-nominated In The Land Of Blood And Honey in 2011 and her current project Unbroken, which features the life story of Olympian and war hero Louis Zamperini.

The Malta Independent has reported that construction of the set on Gonzo is underway, with one structure on the beach nearing completion. Pitt has also had experience filming in Malta before for 2004’s Troy and last year’s World War Z.

  • Angelina Jolie to Direct Herself and Pitt in Film

Angelina Jolie will star in By the Sea with fiancé Brad Pitt, a film which the actress wrote and will direct.

The last time the couple appeared together onscreen was in 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith, where the two met and got together. Mrs. & Mrs. Smith grossed $478,207,520 worldwide, which was at the time the largest box office return for both superstar actors.

Universal Pictures is financing By the Sea, and there’s been speculation that the film could be an “intimate, character-driven drama” that Jolie penned several years ago, concerning a couple with issues who take a vacation in a last-ditch effort to save their marriage.

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat of Malta confirmed that By the Sea would be partially filmed at Mgarr is-Xini, and is set for an August start. The film will be released in 2015, roughly 10 years and six children later after Jolie and Pitt first met on the Mrs. & Mrs. Smith set.

By the Sea will mark Jolie’s third directorial effort. In 2011 she directed In the Land of Blood and Honey, a love story set against the Bosnian War. The film was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film. In 2013 Jolie directed Unbroken, a film about the World War II hero Lou Zamperini, a former Olympian who survived a plane crash and spent two years in a Japanese POW camp. Joel and Ethan Coen adapted the script from Laura Hillenbrand’s biography Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption.

Here is the trailer for Unbroken, which hits theaters on Christmas day:

Commenting on her partnership with Universal, Jolie remarked, [Universal] “has created a very special place for storytellers, and I look forward to the continued passion and support they have provided to me as a filmmaker.”

Universal Pictures Chairman Donna Langley added, “Angelina and Brad represent two of Hollywood’s brightest talents, and we are excited to be a part of their collaboration on this powerful piece.”

  • Brad Pitt Stars In World War II Movie ‘Fury,’ Trailer Released

The trailer for Brad Pitt’s new movie entitled Fury has just been released. The movie is written and directed by David Ayer who is best known for being the writer of the 2001 Denzel Washington movie Training Day. Fury also stars Shia LaBeouf, Jason Isaacs, Jon Bernthal, and Logan Lerman.

The movie is set during the latter part of World War II. Pitt plays Wardaddy, a U.S. Army sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division who commands a Sherman Tank and his five-man crew.

In the first trailer, Pitt tells his tired crew, “It will end soon, but before it does a lot more people gotta die.”

In behind-the-scenes footage Ayer said, “They’re exhausted, they’re tired, they’re grief-stricken, they’re combat-fatigued. It’s really about a family under incredible stress.” The personal touch just might be what sets Fury apart from other World War II movies.

    ‘Fury’: First Footage

Fury will also be featuring the last Tiger I tank, which is still operational. The tank belongs to the Bovington Tank Museum and the production team was able to use it for the movie. It is the first time that a real Tiger tank was used on a movie set.

The movie had already garnered attention last year for an untimely issue with shooting. The filming of the movie started in Hertfordshire, England. There was an outburst from the public when the crew filmed one of the movie’s scenes during Remembrance Day and people saw extras marching on the streets wearing Nazi uniforms.

According to reports, the production team was notified in advance to stop production on that day as a sign of respect, but they chose to continue filming. Ayer was forced to apologize for the disrespect and trouble that the filming has caused among the citizens.

Fury will be out in theaters on November 12 in the United States and on October 24 in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

  • Kerry Washington Hits Red Carpet Post-Baby at BET Awards

Kerry Washington stepped out on the red carpet Sunday night for the BET Awards in Los Angeles.

The event marked Washington’s first live television appearance since giving birth to daughter Isabelle Amarachi on April 21. The child is the first for both Washington and her husband, former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

Observers said Washington looked “slim, fit, and healthy” in a brightly-colored floral strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress, white Jimmy Choo pumps, and the bare minimum of jewelry.

Washington was nominated for a Best Actress award this year alongside Angela Bassett (Black Nativity, American Horror Story,) Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave,) Gabrielle Union (Being Mary Jane,) and Oprah Winfrey (The Butler.) Lupita Nyong’o won.

Washington won the BET Best Actress award in 2013.

Washington, 37, and Asomugha, 32, married in a small, private ceremony in Hailey, Idaho in June 2013. The notoriously private couple managed to keep the wedding secret for over a week.

The couple kept their daughter’s birth from hitting the news for an impressive 11 days following her birth.

Washington began acting in 1994 and landed small television and film roles for the next few years, including parts in Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and The Last King of Scotland with James McAvoy and Forest Whitaker.

In 2012 she gained notoriety for her performance opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, and Christoph Waltz in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.

Also that year she landed the lead role in ABC’s hit series Scandal. Thanks to her role as Olivia Pope, Washington is now a household name. The term “gladiators” and the phrase “It’s handled” have become synonymous with the series and millions of viewers covet Olivia Pope’s wardrobe.

  • Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Enjoy A Kid-Free Night Out

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie enjoyed quality time together on Saturday. The couple grabbed dinner at Robert De Niro’s Italian restaurant in West Hollywood.

Pitt and Jolie are usually seen with their children. On Saturday, however, the two were alone. They were seen sneaking out of a side entrance to go back to their car after dining. Jolie looked as stunning as always in a black sheer top, while Pitt donned a white shirt with sunglasses and a khaki beret.

Jolie was back in town after promoting her most recent movie Maleficent, which is her highest grossing film to date. The movie has surpassed the $500 million mark at the global box office.

In May, Pitt was the subject of headlines when a Ukrainian journalist hit him in the face. The attacker pleaded no contest to the battery charges and was sentenced to three years probation.

Although the couple has been together for 10 years, their chemistry is still very much evident. Pitt and Jolie met over a decade ago on the set of their 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They are devoted parents to their six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and the twins Knox and Vivienne.

Recently, the couple built a skateboard park in the garden of their Los Angeles mansion to celebrate Shiloh’s eighth birthday.

Pitt will be returning to the big screen with his upcoming World War II movie Fury wherein he plays Wardaddy, a sergeant in command of a Sherman Tank. The movie also stars Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, and Scott Eastwood. The movie will be released in November.

Jolie, on the other hand, is reportedly working on a Cleopatra biopic, which she hinted could be the last project that she works on as an actress. “I became an actress because my mom wanted me to become an actress. It took me until my mid-30’s to realize I actually didn’t. I actually wanted to write and direct and be more involved in politics and humanitarian issues,” she said.

  • Jennifer Aniston Hires Coach to Prep for George Clooney Wedding

Jennifer Aniston has reportedly hired a confidence coach to prepare her for attending George Clooney’s wedding where she knows she will come face to face with her ex-husband Brad Pitt and his fiancee Angelina Jolie. Sources believe this will be the first time the Friends star will have been in the same room with Brad Pitt since their 2005 break up. Even though Brangelina–as Pitt and Jolie are often referred–and Aniston all attended the 2009 Academy Awards, there apparently was no one on one contact between the parties.

George Clooney is set to tie the knot in September–much to the chagrin of single women from around the globe. He is marrying Amal Alamuddin at an undisclosed location, although some reports now say that undisclosed spot may be located in Venice. Clooney is very close friends with both Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.

“Jen is no stranger to therapy, so she decided to seek some help. At the wedding she’ll have her fiancé, Justin [Theroux], there for support, but the thought of seeing Brad and Angelina is quite overwhelming,” a source says. “The therapist has been helping to build her confidence and eliminate the fear she seems to have built up about coming face-to-face with them. She has also been having hypnotherapy.”

Goodness that’s a lot to go through to simply be in the same room or chance a polite “Hello, how are you?” with an ex. However Jennifer Aniston has long been a huge proponent of counseling so if it makes her feel more confident, more power to her.

“The Oscars were one thing, but George’s wedding will involve being in a smaller, far more intimate group where they won’t be able to avoid one another. Jen wants to be as breezy as possible. She has been doing role plays with her confidence coach and will be as prepared as she can be,” the source explains.

Jennifer Aniston–at least for appearances sake–shouldn’t feel a lack of confidence around Brangelina. She is beautiful, smart, and funny–but even more than that she seems real, and that’s something Angelina Jolie simply doesn’t exude. Jolie appears like a queen on a throne–untouchable and regal, while Jennifer Aniston seems like the girl next door.

Hopefully Jen’s therapy sessions provide her with that extra boost she feels she needs to strut her stuff at George Clooney’s wedding and knock the socks off both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

  • Jennifer Aniston Reportedly Has a ‘Confidence Coach’

Jennifer Aniston apparently feels some kind of way about seeing Brad Pitt in person – at least that’s what several media outlets are reporting.

According to Cover Media, the Horrible Bosses actress is even seeing a “confidence coach” to cope with nervousness and anxiety over seeing Pitt and his fiancée’ Maleficent actress Angelina Jolie at George Clooney’s wedding later this year.

Clooney, who is a mutual friend of Aniston and Pitt, is scheduled to tie the knot with his fiancé Amal Alamuddin in September. So, its almost inevitable that they’ll be crossing paths really soon. Aniston is reportedly doing everything she can to mentally prepare for her encounter with her ex-husband, whom she split from in 2005.

Several media outlets have also reported that the 45-year-old actress intentionally avoids public run-ins with Pitt. However, there’s a strong possibility she won’t be able to avoid him this time around.

An inside source close to the former Friends star spoke with Britain’s Grazia magazine with details about Aniston’s anxiety problems, and the gratuitous effort she’s making to ensure the event goes as smoothly as possible for her.

“Jen’s no stranger to therapy, so she decided to seek some help,” the source told the publication. “At the wedding, she’ll have Justin there for support, but the thought of seeing Brad and Angelina is quite overwhelming. The therapist has been helping to build her confidence and eliminate the fear she seems to have built up about coming face-to-face with them,” the source explained. “She has also been having hypnotherapy.”

Aniston and Pitt divorced nine years ago, she’s only seen him once. They reportedly ran into each other at the 2009 Oscars. While that encounter went relatively smooth, sources claim that Aniston is particularly worried about seeing him at Clooney’s wedding because of the intimate setting.

  • Angelina Jolie Talks Wedding Plans

    Angelina Jolie Talks Wedding Plans

Angelina Jolie, 38, and Brad Pitt, 50, are finally ready for marriage, after spending eight years together and having six children Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 12, Pax Jolie-Pitt, 10, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 9, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 7, and twins Knox Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 5.

During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Jolie opened up about the wedding plans and explained that she and Brad are not the only ones who are doing the planning; they are letting the kids give their input as well.

“We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be,” Jolie said. “Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding.” She added, “They will, in a way, be the wedding planners. It’s going to be Disney or paintball – one or the other!”

Jolie said that they will definitely be getting married, but a date hasn’t been officially set. She said they are in no hurry, and just want to wait until the time is perfectly right for their family. “We will get married, and we’re not really in a rush,” Jolie explained. “We’re just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right. It will be fun. That’s the important thing.”

Jolie also discussed how parenthood has helped her and Brad’s relationship evolve. “We’ve been through so much. We’ve gotten a lot closer, which I think naturally happens with raising a family together. You have history. You have so many memories. All your memories are based on time together, so you don’t have separate experiences. You have this person you live with who really knows you, and you know them so well,” she explained. “You’re not lovers or boyfriend and girlfriend as much as you are a family.”
