    Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend Nick Gordon is reportedly the focus of an investigation underway in in Georgia in Whitney Houston‘s daughter’s case.

    TMZ has reported the criminal investigation launched this week centers on possible foul play.

    Authorities reportedly told CNN that certain injuries sustained by Bobby Kristina Brown “piqued their interest.”

    “We do not know the nature of the injuries,” claimed TMZ, but they say multiple sources have said there is a history of violence between the couple.

    On Tuesday, an attorney for Bobby Brown issued a statement denying the couple were married and confirming that the family also was investigating the incident.

    “We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina,” Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC said in the statement. “To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon.”

    Police are said to be looking into a possible altercation that may have occurred more than an hour before Bobbi Kristina was found submerged facedown in a bathtub.

    Max Lomas, the friend who discovered Bobbi Kristina in the tub, reportedly arrived at her home around 9 a.m. on Jan. 31.

    TMZ reports that Lomas said he hung out with Nick, but Bobbi Kristina was nowhere to be found. When he asked where she was, he was told she was in the bedroom. Nick apparently then wandered away, but Lomas told the website he didn’t pay attention to his whereabouts.

    The website further claims a cable technician arrived shortly after 10 a.m. and Lomas said he let him in. When the technician said he needed access to the bedroom, that is the moment when Gordon discovered Bobbi Kristina facedown in the tub. Lomas said he screamed for Gordon, who ran in and administered CPR before first responders arrived and continued attempts to resuscitate Bobbi Kristina.

    TMZ further reports that Lomas claims Nick Gordon allegedly cleaned up the home and removed blood stains.

    Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant told People magazine that the police are “going to follow the evidence and see where it leads us.”

    Nick Gordon is reportedly under investigation in the Bobbi Kristina Brown case. The daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown is clinging to life in a medically induced coma following an incident last Saturday. Nick Gordon told investigators he found Bobbi Kristina face down in the bathtub of their home. Now those same investigators are seeking the cause of unexplained injuries on Bobbi Kristina.

    TMZ is reporting that they have been told by a number of sources that the relationship between Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown was a violent one. Police are reportedly looking into a supposed altercation between the two just an hour or so before she was discovered in the bathtub.

    Bobby Brown made it clear a few days ago that although his daughter and Nick Gordon referred to themselves as husband and wife that they were never were nor are they presently married. His lawyer issued a statement.

    “We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina,” Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC said in that statement on Tuesday evening. “To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon.”

    What a difference a week makes. Just a day or two following Nick Gordon discovering Bobbi Kristina in the bathtub, many outlets were saying people close to the couple feared Nick would be considered the ‘bad guy’ in this situation, and wanted others to know how much he loved the girl who was raised alongside him by Whitney Houston–much like someone would raise a brother and sister.

    “He’ll be the bad guy again,” a source told People.

    Cissy Houston, Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother and Whitney Houston’s mother, arrived in Atlanta Friday night to be by her granddaughter’s bedside. She never agreed with Bobbi Kristina’s relationship with Nick Gordon. What do you suppose Cissy’s reaction will be when she learns Nick is under investigation?

  • Bobby Brown’s Relatives: Bloody Brawl At Hotel

    Bobby Brown has many relatives surrounding him for moral support as his only child fights for her life in an Atlanta hospital.

    But, some of those relatives might be adding strain to Bobby Brown‘s already frazzled nerves.

    Bobby Brown turned 46 on Thursday and relatives gathered for a small, quiet celebration at the W Hotel in Midtown Atlanta on Friday.

    But some of Bobby Brown’s relatives couldn’t keep it together.

    Officers responded to a domestic violence call at the hotel just after midnight on Friday after the birthday party.

    Apparently, Tina Brown, who also goes by Anita, fought with her son over a parking ticket. When things went south, she spit in his face, then broke a bottle over his head, which resulted in a nasty cut.

    There were several witnesses to the show put on by Bobby Brown’s relatives.

    One witness said the son, Shayne Brown, was “swinging on” his mother. Another said she saw his mother spit in his face and heard glass break, but didn’t actually see his mom break the bottle over his head.

    Police say that Shayne Brown declined to press charges against his mother and then drove himself to the hospital to seek treatment for the gash in his head.

    Bobby Brown, meanwhile, is holding vigil by his daughter’s bedside as she continues to fight for her life. She was found face down and unconscious in a bathtub last Saturday in an scene eerily similar to her mother’s death almost three years ago to the day.

    Bobbi Kristina Brown is still in a medically induced coma as her family waits for a sign that she will pull through.

    However, doctors told the family that there’s nothing else they can do and suggested that they prepare for the worst.

    Bobbi Kristina Moved To New Hospital

    Bobbi Kristina Brown has been moved to Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital from the smaller hospital that was closer to her home.

    Bobbi Kristina is still fighting for her life with little change since she was placed in a medically induced coma.

    On Monday, Bobbi Kristina opened and closed her eyes a few times, but doctors told the family not to read too much into it.

    She also had seizures on the same day. Doctors were going to reduce the sedatives to check her brain function, but they decided to leave her in the coma for now.

    Bobby Brown released a statement asking for privacy.

    He said, “We continue to request privacy in this matter. Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time.”

    Family members told People that Bobby Brown is “inconsolable.”

    “This is his worst nightmare,” the source said.

    Friends and family are concerned that Bobbi Kristina was found in an eerily similar situation as her mother, Whitney Houston, was found almost three years ago to the day.

    “Losing Whitney was hard, but this is a million times worse,” the source says. “And to lose her in the same way would devastate him.”

    While Bobbi Kristina Brown and her father have had a rocky relationship and their family life is tense sometimes, she is still his daughter.

    “This is not the time for family feuds,” a family member said. “It doesn’t matter what happened in the past. All that matters is that everyone’s here for Krissy.”

    The family member added, “No one is holding any previous grudges.”

    The family is reportedly holding a vigil around her bed as they wait anxiously for a sign from Bobbi Kristina that she’ll pull through.

    “If she’s in there somewhere, we want her to hear us,” a family member said. “We keep it positive. We tell her that God loves her, that we love her. That America is praying for her and that everyone loves her.”

    Prayers are being said through the nation for Bobbi Kristina. Will she be able to pull through?

    Nick Gordon was raised by Whitney Houston, but she never adopted him. Members of Whitney’s family, including her mother and Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, never approved of Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina’s relationship. Might this be why Bobby Brown had his lawyer release a statement indicating that the two never married? Was he displeased with their relationship as well?

    Bobby Brown released his second statement to the media since arriving at Bobbi Kristina’s bed side.

    “We continue to request privacy in this matter. Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time,” his statement read.

    The Houston family also released a statement on Monday.

    “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family,” their statement read. “As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support.”

  • Nick Gordon Deemed Bad Guy in Wake of Bobbi Kristina Brown Incident?

    Nick Gordon will likely be blamed for whatever caused Bobbi Kristina Brown to be found unresponsive in her bathtub on Saturday. At least that’s what some who are close to the situation fear.

    “He’ll be the bad guy again,” a source told People magazine.

    “Nick knew that a lot of the family weren’t fans of his; he sort of kept her away from some of her family members because he didn’t want [the family] to say bad things about him to [Bobbi Kristina]. It’s not exactly his fault,” the source added.

    The source–who is said to be a member of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family–says Nick Gordon didn’t get along with many members of the late Whitney Houston’s family. Whitney’s mom and Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, is among those he didn’t get along with.

    “Everyone had a preconceived notion about him, and it wasn’t always fair. But he didn’t do himself any favors. He was disrespectful a lot of the time, always ‘f’ this and ‘f’ that, using language that Cissy didn’t approve of. To her face. If there’s one thing that Cissy doesn’t stand for, it’s people who swear in front of her,” the source explained.

    Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown had what some are calling a ‘rather unconventional’ relationship. Raised very much like a brother and sister (Whitney Houston raised Nick Gordon like her own, but never adopted him), many found it peculiar when the two fell in love. They went public with their relationship shortly after Whitney Houston died in 2012, and got married in January of 2014.

    The source feared that when word hit the media of the police doing a drug sweep of Bobbi Kristina and Nick’s home, that he would be blamed right away.

    “I don’t want to blame Nick for any drug use, because that’s not fair. Bobby Brown was blamed for Whitney’s drug use, and that always bothered him. She was a grown woman who made her own choices,” the source said. “Krissy makes her own choices, too. No one influences her to do anything she doesn’t want to do; she’s stubborn just like both of her parents. Nick may not be the best influence on her, but she makes her own choices.”

    “She said, ‘I know how my mother died, and I’ve learned from her mistakes,’ ” the source recalls Bobbi Kristina saying. “She seemed very adamant.”

    Do you expect Nick Gordon will be blamed for whatever happened to Bobbi Kristina Brown? Hopefully she can one day speak for herself and explain the situation, although current reports on her condition vary.

    Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in the bathtub inside her Georgia home on Saturday, and for the first time since word of the situation hit the media, her father, Bobby Brown, is speaking out. Bobbi Kristina is the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston. Houston died just under three years ago. She was found unresponsive in a bathtub in the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

    Bobby Brown reportedly rushed to his daughter’s side once learning of the frightening situation. He issued a statement on Sunday.

    “Privacy is requested in this matter,” Bobby said in a statement to E! News. “Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

    “The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is accurate,” Brown’s lawyer added. “No additional information will be forthcoming.”

    Bobbi Kristina’s condition is a bit unclear. Some media outlets have reported that she is in a medically induced coma, while others are listing her condition as stable.

    Nick Gordon, who was raised by Whitney Houston, and now is married to Bobbi Kristina Brown, found his wife in the bathtub on Saturday. A friend was there as well. Gordon is said to have started CPR, which was taken over by paramedics when they arrived on the scene.

    Hopefully the next statement Bobby Brown issues will have more concrete–as well as more positive–information about his daughter. It will also be interesting to learn if Cissy Houston, Whitney Houston’s mom and Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, is at the hospital with the family members, too.

    Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, is reportedly in a medically-induced coma after she was found facedown and unresponsive Saturday in the bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia, home.

    Bobbi Kristina was rushed to the hospital and has been placed in a medically-induced coma to protect her brain as she fights for her life.

    On everyone’s mind is what could have happened to Bobbi Kristina. The déjà vu sense of Bobbi Kristina’s husband finding her facedown in the tub — exactly in the the same manner in which her mother was discovered at her death — is disturbing.

    It’s no secret the 21-year-old has faced some of the same demons as her mother and her father, Bobby Brown, after the devastating death of her mother, nearly three years ago on Feb. 11, 2012.

    “Bobbi Kristina will be the first person to say that she has used in the past, and that she dealt with a lot of pressure from growing up in the spotlight. You’ve seen the pictures on the Internet, so you know,” a source close to the family told People magazine. “But as of five months ago, she swore up and down that she wasn’t using, and she seemed very adamant.”

    According to the friend, Bobbi Kristina was well aware that she struggled with many of the same addictions as her mother.

    “The last time I talked to her was before Halloween, and I said, ‘You know that we’re worried about you. I hope you’re not using.’ And she said, ‘I know how my mother died, and I’ve learned from her mistakes.’”

    Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, has addressed the negative impact her daughter’s death has had on her granddaughter.

    “Of course I worry about her,” said Cissy. “It doesn’t mean that she is going to follow her [mother’s] same path. She could but anybody could. I don’t want to jinx her. I’m trying to make sure she doesn’t.”

    In March 2014, Bobbi Kristina came under scrutiny once again for her emaciated appearance, but she fought back on Twitter.

    This past July, a photo appeared on her Instagram account showing her allegedly smoking pot out of a bong. Once again, she denied the photo was hers on Twitter.

    The irony of how she was discovered by husband Nick Gordon seems all the more questionable when reading a tweet Bobbi Kristina posted this week.

    Investigators continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

    It’s a sad and frightening situation for the Brown, Gordon and Houston families and everyone is hoping Bobbi Kristina pulls through and can find some peace in her heart and life.

    Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, was found unresponsive in a bathtub Saturday morning and rushed to a hospital in the north Atlanta suburbs, police said.

    Officer Lisa Holland, a spokeswoman for the Roswell Police Department, said Bobbi Kristina Brown’s husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend found the late singer’s daughter in the tub around 10:30 a.m. and provided CPR as they waited on first responders.

    When police and EMS arrived, they provided additional care until she was taken alive to North Fulton Hospital.

    Police say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

    Bobbi Kristina Brown is the daughter of Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown. In a bizarre case of déja vu, her mother was found dead of a drug overdose in a hotel bathtub on Feb. 11, 2012, in Beverly Hills, California, after battling addiction to cocaine, marijuana and pills for years.

  • Whitney Houston Biopic Is A Commercial Success, Garners Mixed Reviews

    Lifetime’s controversial Whitney Houston biopic, Whitney, proved to be a ratings draw for the network. The film, which was directed by Angela Bassett, attracted 4.5 million viewers and is the network’s most-watched telecast since the made-for-TV drama, Flowers in The Attic. However, despite being a commercial success, the film garnered mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. People who were expecting a train wreck were pleasantly surprised, however, they still had some bones to pick with the film.

    The Daily Beast was one of the sites that expected the Whitney Houston biopic to flop, but they did have some kind words to say about the production. According to the review, the film “forces us to revisit, or maybe realize for the first time, how conflicted Houston was at the most successful time of her career”, while criticizing the film for being boring and not being thought-provoking.

    The New York Times also criticized the film’s structure, stating that cherry-picking key moments in Whitney Houston’s life and tying them together led to a “confusing” narrative. Billboard, on the other hand, voiced some concerns that the film focuses too much on Bobby Brown’s point of view when it comes to their relationship.

    Whitney Houston’s estate expressed their disapproval of the film. The late singer’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, slammed the biopic even before it aired. In a statement released by Pat, she says, “You should expect people will always rise to the occasion for prominence and profit … not love, respect or honor … I question the morality of the making of this because of the lack of experience knowing Whitney’s life.”

    Whitney also made social media rounds when fans tweeted their reactions to the film’s gratuitous sex scenes as well as scenes of Whitney taking drugs. One disappointed fan even tweeted, “This @lifetimetv movie doesn’t do Whitney Houston’s legacy any justice, so far it’s only sex & Cocaine #Whitney #WhitneyHoustonMovie”.

    As her biopic of Whitney Houston sits ready to air tonight on Lifetime, Angela Bassett is talking about the themes of the film and what she hopes the audience gets out of it all.

    “If you walk through life and your children walk through life and think it’s all about unicorns and rainbows, or sunsets and sunrises, or stars and cotton candy and are ignorant of pitfalls, then you can fall into one unaware,” Angela Bassett said. “We make choices that affect our future, she made choices that affected her life.”

    Whitney Houston died of an accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub almost three years ago. Her drug use and life difficulties were well-known to the American public.

    Houston and former husband Bobby Brown aired some of their life’s dirty laundry in a reality TV show called Being Bobby Brown. One reviewer described the Bravo series this way:

    “Being Bobby Brown, the reality show spotlighting the R&B singer whose rap sheet might be longer than his catalog, is undoubtedly the most disgusting and execrable series ever to ooze its way onto television… Not only does it reveal Brown to be even more vulgar than the tabloids suggest, but it manages at the same time to rob Houston of any last shreds of dignity.”

    Angela Bassett knows that part of Whitney Houston’s story is a cautionary tale. At the same time she hopes to shine a light on another facet of her time with Bobby Brown that many people may have forgotten.

    “I hope people walk away with going on the journey and the realization that these two extremely talented, beautiful young people really loved one another,” Bassett said “They tried to make it work.”

    Angela Bassett acknowledges that not everyone will agree with her treatment of Houston’s story.

    “You have to understand with great success there will be critics and naysayers. My intention was to tell their love story as honestly as I could,” Bassett said. “Whenever the naysayers came, you know you expect that and then you keep on moving. If I can tell [this story] with some compassion, then you just keep on jumping those hurdles until you get to that finish line.”

    Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown took a moment on Twitter to share how she really feels about Angela Bassett after The Butler actress revealed she never considered Bobbi to play Whitney in a planned TV biopic for Lifetime.

    Bassett, who marks her directorial debut with the movie, has cast Yaya DaCosta from All My Children to play Whitney in the tentatively titled I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story.

    In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly about the project, Bassett seemed a little harsh when she told the magazine she wanted real talent for the job.

    “I did not think about casting her,” said the Waiting to Exhale actress. “And probably for a number of reasons, you know. One being that she’s not an actress. I know she’s acted here and there. I know she’s been on their family’s reality show, but she’s not an actress and acting is a craft.”

    Ouch!

    Needless to say, her remarks didn’t go over too well with Houston’s daughter. So Brown did what dissed celebrities do — she ranted on Twitter.

    She may have taken it too far when she likened Bassett to a man.

    “Ha MsAng ‘bassketcase’ has such a damn nerve my lord, at least the world doesn’t mistake me for the wrong sex…she has some #XtraEquipment.”

    She later posted, “When I win my first Grammy or Oscar, *Shrugs* hmm whichever comes 1st, I’ll be sure 2shout URname out [expletive]! Ha UrTestResults = Male. Lmao.”

    She later deleted the tweets and apologized in another sorry, not sorry tweet: “I’m a young woman that can admit her wrongs. 4who was offended I apologize BUT understand me before you’re quick to judge though. ThankU.”

    The daughter of Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown has only one acting credit to her name, in a 2012 episode of For Better or Worse.

    Houston‘s manager and sister-in-law Pat Houston also criticized Basset and her plans to turn Houston’s life story into a TV movie, believing the vocal icon is “certainly worthy of more than a television movie.”

    Bobby Brown spent some time on Father’s Day with his previously estranged daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, his child with the late Whitney Houston. Bobbi Kristina is Brown’s only child and it seems some hugs on Father’s Day melted away a lot of the angst the two experienced during the past couple of years. This must have been a huge relief for both father and daughter. Since Whitney’s passing life has been stressful for Bobbi Kristina and even though Bobby Brown got married recently he still likely felt an empty place in his heart with the absence of his daughter.

    Bobbi Kristina, who claims to be married to Nick Gordon–the young man Whitney Houston raised as her own–posted about her reunion with her dad on social media–sharing photos on Instagram.

    This first one, captioned “I got a running start! Love you Daddy,” shows the excitement each felt when they met for the first time in a long while on Sunday.

    Bobbi Kristina captioned this next photo, “(: my face says it all.. 🙂 love you daddy!”

    It was back in January that Bobbi Kristina told the world via social media that she and Nick Gordon had gotten married. Just a couple of weeks ago Bobby Brown spoke about his daughter and Nick Gordon during an interview, but he spoke about Bobbi Kristina as though she hadn’t yet tied the knot.

    “She’s doing wonderful,” Brown, 45, said of Bobbi Kristina. “We’re going to spend Father’s Day together, which I’m so grateful for… and I can’t wait to get there.”

    He was asked if he would tell Bobbi Kristina to hold off on marriage should he be given the opportunity to do so or if he might suggest she wait a while before getting married.

    “I wouldn’t do that,” Brown replied. “She makes a lot of great decisions. Her mother was very smart and she raised her very well. So I really don’t trip or worry about her as much as people want to make it seem, you know? Like ‘She’s in danger.’ No, she’s not. She’s a very bright, young, and beautiful young girl.”

    This certainly makes it sound like Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon aren’t yet married. But who knows? At least Bobbi Kristina had a nice reunion with her dad and Bobby Brown had a happy Father’s Day. The media can speculate on the details. As of Sunday, spending time as a father and a daughter was all that mattered to these two.

    The husband and wife (yes, Bobbi Kristina married Nick Gordon, the man-boy Whitney Houston raised as her own son–the one who was raised as Bobbi Kristina’s brother) fired back at those making what they felt were insulting comments with some comments of their own via Twitter.

    Of course this line of defense isn’t unusual for either Brown or Gordon. They are known for defending their romance/marriage on Twitter on more than one occasion.

    Following the comments about how skinny Bobbi Kristina is, both she and Nick Brown tweeted some of their own thoughts. Warning: Nick Gordon’s weren’t G-rated.

    The fact that this married couple is posting a bikini photo on social media and then lashing back at the comments made by “fans” may in fact be indicative of one of the reasons Whitney Houston’s mom Cissy Houston didn’t want the two of these kids tying the knot. Aside from the fact that they were raised as siblings, their maturity levels don’t appear to be exceedingly high.

    Bobbi Kristina Brown and husband, Nick Gordon, are lashing out after fans reacted to Bobbi Kristina’s super skinny frame.

    Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown‘s daughter shared pictures of herself on vacation over the weekend in an ity-bity-black bikini.

    Her husband Nick Gordon posted a pic of the 21-year-old newlywed with the caption, “I gotta bad b––––.”

    When the Twitterverse and the media began commenting that she was too skinny, the duo lashed out with Tweets of their own.

    “My baby is perfect the way she is,” Gordon Tweeted on Tuesday, peppered with a few choice profanities. “And for the record she was made that way why change I know she is beautiful.”

    Bobbi Kristina joined her husband on Twitter in her own defense, saying she was built just like her famous mom.

    “I am my mothers child! Have you ever heard of a #fastmetabolism ?” she wrote. “Damn, lol, it’s incredible how the world will judge you 4ANY&EVERYthing.”

    Criticism is not something new to the newlyweds. They caused a stir when they married in January.

    Brown and Gordon were raised as brother and sister when Houston took Gordon into her home at the age of 12, so when they announced their engagement, it created another brouhaha from the media.

    As reported by People, Bobbi said her marriage to Gordon had the blessing of her grandmother Cissy Houston and said Whitney wanted them to be together.

    “I would tear up, this is exactly what she wanted, us together,” said Brown.

    However, other reports said that Cissy was furious over their relationship.

    Apparently, Cissy told a close friend, “What they’re doing is incestuous.”

    “Krissy has told her grandmother that she doesn’t need her blessing to marry Nick, and the more Cissy objects to the relationship, well that only cements Krissy’s decision,” Star magazine reported a source as saying at the time.

  • Phaedra Parks: Hubby Charged With Bank Fraud, More

    Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta had a new reality invade her TV life this week when she learned her husband Apollo Nida was charged with bank fraud and identity theft. Nida appeared before the U.S. District Court on Thursday.

    According to the court website, a U.S. Secret Service Agent in the Counterfeit and U.S. Treasury Check Squad named Alexandre Herrera claimed that Apollo Nida created fake companies as a means of stealing from individuals by opening bank accounts using these people’s real names. Nida was identified by Gayla St. Julien, who reportedly has been under arrest since September for the same cache of criminal activities. Apollo Nida has been released on bail.

    Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida have starred in The Real Housewives of Atlanta since 2009, and welcomed their second son into the world this past May. Parks–an attorney–just learned about a month before this baby was born that she will soon be getting her on TV spinoff show about her legal career. Now that her husband has been charged with these crimes, people are likely wondering a couple of things about Phaedra. Was she in on it? Was she aware of what her husband was doing? Or does this mean she’ll seek to sever ties with him since his arrest? Not many clients will be thrilled to know that their attorney is married to someone who both defrauded banks and stole people’s identities. Of course in the world of reality TV there are no doubt excuses for everything that goes on. Maybe Phaedra Parks is using that old “innocent until proven guilty” rule. Does that still apply?

    Phaedra Parks represented Bobby Brown during his assault trial in 2004, when he was accused of assault his then-wife, the late Whitney Houston. She has represented other celebrity clients as well. Certainly she can’t represent Apollo–but she likely knows someone who can.

    Will Apollo Nida’s arrest play itself out on The Real Housewives of Atlanta or are their gag orders on using real criminal cases on reality TV shows? Can’t you just imagine how that would boost ratings?

  • Alicia Etheridge, Bobby Brown Tie the Knot in Hawaii: Twitter Reacts

    Alicia Etheridge is now officially Bobby Brown’s wife, according to reports. The couple apparently tied the knot on June 19th at a small ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii. Their 3 year-old son, Cassius, was the ring bearer at the event, which was only attended by close family and friends. Of course, Brown did what most modern individuals do whenever they experience a life-changing event: he shared at photograph on Instagram.

    Brown popped the question to Etheridge back in 2010 during a concert in Jacksonville, Florida.

    Although the vast majority of Brown’s offspring were in attendance, Bobbi Kristina was nowhere to be found. According to The Daily Mail, the girl was in New York with her grandmother, shooting scenes for their upcoming Lifetime reality show “The Houston Family Chronicles”. The program, which is tentatively scheduled to debut on the network later this year, follows Whitney Houston’s family as they attempt to cope with her passing.

  • Bobby Brown’s Fiancee, Whitney Houston Discussed in Latest Interview

    Bobby Brown’s fiancee and his undying love for Whitney House were the top of conversation when the musician sat down with Matt Lauer for a recent “Today Show” interview. Truthfully, I’m kind of surprised that we didn’t hear more from Bobby Brown after Houston’s passing last February. I guess I sold the guy short, as I was almost positive he would use the opportunity to get his face all over television screens and magazine covers. Oh, what a heel I am.

    During the interview, Brown revealed that he’s still very much in love with Whitney despite the fact that he’s happily engaged. He also touched on the rumors that it was hit fault the beloved singer/actress had developed a drug problem, an allegation he denies with every ounce of his being. Brown goes on to discuss how Houston looked before her death, and wonders if he could have done more to help his ex-wife with her troubles.

    “Maybe I could have done something different. You know?” Brown explained to Matt Lauer. “To ensure she had a longer life. But you have to want it.”

    After watching the interview, I can honestly say that I have a lot more respect for the “New Edition” singer than I did beforehand. You can tell that he’s still grieving over Houston’s untimely demise, and, honestly, it’s a little hard to watch. Anyone who’s ever lost someone they love in such a horrific manner can easily relate to the man’s pain. Even if you’re not a fan of Brown’s career or his antics, you can tell he’s genuinely heartbroken over the loss.

  • Bobby Brown Drives Drunk, Arrested In L.A.

    Mere weeks after the drowning death of his wife Whitney Houston–which the coroner says was contributed to by cocaine and heart disease–Bobby Brown has been arrested for driving under the influence.

    The incident occurred yesterday around lunchtime when police stopped Brown for talking on his cell phone while driving. Once they got closer to the star, however, it became clear he was under the influence of a substance. They gave him a sobriety test, which he failed. Brown was later released on bail.

    Houston and Brown have famously battled substance abuse for years; at one point, Brown admitted to being addicted to cocaine, crack, and alcohol and is rumored to have been involved with heroin. In 2004, he told Dateline NBC that the drug use started for him after he married Houston, because his career took a back seat not only to her rising star, but to their marriage. Many of her fans, friends and family worried that Brown, who had a reputation for being a “bad boy”, would hurt her career.

    Brown has been touring with his old group New Edition for their 30th anniversary, but it is unclear just yet how the arrest will affect the scheduled performances.

  • El DeBarge is Scott-Free and Looking Forward to Funk Fest

    El DeBarge ( born Eldra Patrick DeBarge) was arrested on Tuesday in Los Angeles for felony possession of narcotics with the intent to sell.

    DeBarge is an American R&B/Pop singer and songwriter most famous for his signature falsetto voice. His career peaked in the early to mid-80s. His best known songs are “Who’s Johnny” and “Love Always” as well as his collaborative efforts with Quincy Jones, DJ Quik, and Tone Loc.

    “Who’s Johnny” was on the soundtrack for the movie Short Circuit:

    Apparently things come in 3 for the singer; he has been nominated for three Grammys and this is the entertainer’s third arrest since 2001.

    It appears that the cops wrongfully arrested the singer. According to TMZ official D.A. documents state that “”police officers noticed DeBarge and another man speaking on the street — and for some reason, decided to search them … without giving a reason why.” Despite the fact that the police found no incriminating evidence and the vocalists denial that he did anything the officers found a rock of cocaine under a nearby car and decided to make the arrest.

    Prosecutors felt that there wasn’t enough evidence to press charges and he was cleared of the supposed offense.

    DeBarge is enjoying his freedom and is looking forward to playing Funk Festin St. Petersburg on April 6-7 in Vinoy Park.
