  • Ashley Monroe Embraces Miranda Lambert Onstage After Shocking Divorce News

Ashley Monroe took the stage with Miranda Lambert this week in Nashville, and the good friends embraced after their set even as speculation runs rampant online about Lambert’s divorce from fellow country star Blake Shelton.

Monroe–who performs with Lambert in their group The Pistol Annies–was celebrating her new album release this week when she performed at The Basement, and had Lambert come up on stage to perform a duet on “Heart Like Mine”. The good friends looked close at the event and Miranda was reportedly in good spirits during the set.

“Miranda looked amazing — was smiling, happy, dancing, singing. She is having a great time and is here to support a very good friend,” a source said.

Lambert is reportedly continuing on with her scheduled shows despite the announcement on Monday that she and Shelton are going their separate ways after four years of marriage; she’s due to play her own set in Nashville on July 28. Meanwhile, Miranda said in April that she and Ashley Monroe–along with their bandmate Angaleena Presley–may have some new music to share with fans soon.

“We’ve been texting a lot and just trying to figure [everything] out. When we get in a room, it’s magic, and so we just have to find time in our schedules… to just get in a room for a couple of days and I’m sure more magic will happen,” Lambert said.

Lambert and Shelton have been at the center of a whole lot of rumors this week, with sources telling the media that one or both of them cheated on the other and that Shelton’s gig with The Voice had a hand in ruining their relationship due to the necessity of his presence in L.A., which Lambert reportedly “hates”. However, neither have commented publicly on the rumors. Both have already changed their social media profiles to edit out the presence of the other.

  • Adam Levine Shaves Head, Wife Behati Prinsloo Doesn’t Seem Impressed

Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and The Voice fame shaved his head recently. No one has yet reported if there was a reason behind the new ‘do or whether the singer merely wanted a change. Someone who doesn’t seem to impressed about his new look is his wife, Behati Prinsloo.

It was via Instagram that Adam Levine shared a photo of his newly shorn head. His wife appears in the shot, too, and the look on her face is priceless.

“She’s into me…I think…,” Adam Levine captioned the photo.

See what you think about his new style.

A photo posted by Adam Levine (@adamlevine) on

Do you like it or do you think Adam Levine looks better with hair?

And did you love the look on Behati Prinsloo’s face?

Adam Levine will soon be preparing for the next season of The Voice. Hopefully his ribbing helps cheer up fellow judge Blake Shelton, who has filed for divorce from his wife of four years, Miranda Lambert. While nothing has yet been confirmed, reports say Miranda cheated on Blake for quite some time.

If Adam Levine shows up on the set of The Voice with his head shaved, Blake Shelton will no doubt take a few jabs at his good friend. The two are known for their on-air “bromance” and they keep the audience and viewers in stitches with their frequent antics.

  • Miranda Lambert: Did She Cheat On Blake Shelton With Chris Young?

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton shocked fans on Monday with an announcement saying the two country music stars have split. Now rumors about Miranda having cheated on The Voice coach are running rampant. One such rumor says Miranda Lambert cheated on Blake Shelton with fellow country star Chris Young.

That’s a rumor Young vehemently denies.

On Tuesday, Chris Young took to Twitter to set the record straight.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton issued a joint statement on Monday about their split. Social media, news programs, and celebrity publications are all talking about the end of their romance and speculating about what went wrong.

“This is not the future we envisioned,” the former couple said in a statement to the Associated Press on Monday. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

Do you think allegations about Miranda Lambert cheating on Blake Shelton are true?

If the “Little Red Wagon” singer didn’t cheat with Chris Young, then with whom did she allegedly cheat on Blake Shelton instead?

Blake Shelton returned to social media on Tuesday, tweeting about working out. He has changed his profile picture, which used to feature him with Miranda Lambert.

  • Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton Split, Ending Four-Year Marriage

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were a country couple that made their fans smile. Many of those smiles have turned to frowns today with the announcement that the country sweetheart and The Voice coach are through.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert issued a joint statement on Monday.

“This is not the future we envisioned,” the statement reads. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

This isn’t just a huge disappointment for those who followed their love story, but also for those who loved the music collaborations Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are known for.

Back in December, in an interview with Marie Claire, Miranda Lambert said she wasn’t the easiest person to get along with.

“I’m not sunshine and roses. Blake’s the happiest person on the planet. He pulls me out of my darkness… Literally, everything is the best about being married.”

Sadly that marriage has come to an end. No details have been shared on whether the ‘Little Red Wagon’ singer or Blake Shelton has filed for divorce.

Are you surprised to learn that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have split? Do you think rumors of him cheating on her play into this decision?

  • Miranda Lambert: Why She Ignores Carrie Underwood’s Advice on Marriage

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton have been married for four years now, but that hasn’t stopped fellow country singer Carrie Underwood from proffering words of marital advice to the ‘Little Red Wagon’ singer.

So what does Miranda Lambert do when Carrie Underwood gives marriage advice?

    She rolls her eyes.

Now don’t get Miranda wrong. She loves Carrie Underwood. In fact, she strongly admires her. The two recorded their number one hit ‘Somethin’ Bad’ together. But she also recognizes that their home situations aren’t even remotely the same.

“She’s been telling Miranda that she should put her own career on pause to keep the home fires burning,” a source says. “[Miranda] just rolls her eyes and smiles politely.”

“Miranda knows Carrie’s advice comes from a good place, but her life and marriage aren’t remotely similar to Carrie’s,” the source adds.

Miranda Lambert has said numerous times what a great influence hubby Blake Shelton is on her.

“I’m not sunshine and roses. Blake’s the happiest person on the planet,” she said. “He pulls me out of my darkness…Literally, everything is the best about being married.”

Blake, who also stars as a coach on The Voice in addition to making records and performing, is open about his penchant for alcohol, and rumors have run rampant on more than one occasion about him cheating on Miranda Lambert. It seems they’re just that, however–rumors–because Miranda is head over heels in love with the man she married on a Texas ranch after dating for five years.

Miranda Lambert insists that she and Blake Shelton are like most other couples. They have their arguments. She strongly believes in admitting she’s wrong when she realizes she made a mistake.

“Both my mum and my grandma were really big influences on me not only by being strong and teaching me to be strong but also owning their salt as well. My mum was never afraid to say, ‘I’m sorry. I screwed up.’ I feel like that’s an important lesson,” she explains.

“We try to hold ourselves to such high–sometimes impossible–expectations. I think it’s OK to make mistakes and learn from them and be who you are.”

It seems like the only real similarities Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert have are their talents. Miranda is a party girl and Carrie is more of a conservative Christian mom and wife.

Will Miranda eventually sacrifice her home life with Blake Shelton if she doesn’t heed Carrie’s advice and keep those ‘home fires burning?’

    Who knows?

    She and Blake seem happy.

And no one else knows what goes on behind their closed doors.

  • Christina Aguilera Being Replaced by Gwen Stefani on Season Nine of ‘The Voice’

Christina Aguilera won’t return for season nine of The Voice, but will once again be replaced by Gwen Stefani instead. Stefani appeared on season seven of The Voice.

Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams have all signed back on to The Voice, and will round out the season nine panel of coaches on the popular singing competition show.

Gwen Stefani issued a statement about replacing Christina Aguilera on Wednesday.

“I can’t believe I get to return to The Voice,” she said. “It’s so inspiring to be around such incredible talent and music. I’m looking forward to working again with Adam, Blake and Pharrell. I love those guys.”

Carson Daily is also returning to The Voice to serve as host.

As with the last time Gwen Stefani appeared on The Voice, it isn’t certain whether Christina Aguilera is leaving the show for good or simply taking another year off.

Shakira filled Christina Aguilera’s shoes during season six of the show.

Are you a Christina Aguilera fan–with regard to her serving in the capacity of a coach on The Voice? Or do you prefer when someone sits in for her for a season? Are you among those thrilled to learn Gwen Stefani is returning for season nine?

  • Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride Slam Sexist Country Music Radio Station Executive

Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride are just two women in country music both astonished and offended by a remark made by a country music radio station executive this past week.

Keith Hill oversees 300 country music radio stations. He pretty much said during a recent interview for Country Aircheck that country radio needed to “take females out” in order to boost their station’s ratings.

“Trust me, I play great female records and we’ve got some right now; they’re just not the lettuce in our salad,” Hill added. “The lettuce is Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and artists like that. The tomatoes of our salad are the females.”

A comment like Keith Hill’s doesn’t take long to spread via social media. Country music fans and artists picked up on it and slammed the exec for his sexist comment and his stupidity.

    Miranda Lambert is disgusted.

Martina McBride shares Miranda Lambert’s dismay, and posted her thoughts on Facebook.

Wow…..just wow. Just read this from a major country radio publication. How do you feel about this statement? I…

Posted by Martina McBride on Tuesday, May 26, 2015

And to further prove that Keith Hill is completely off his rocker with his most unfortunate comment, Shane McAnally stood up for the ladies of country music, too.

Wouldn’t you love to hear what Miranda Lambert’s husband–Blake Shelton–has to say about this? He not only supports his wife, but promotes adding women to the country music world. Just look at the young women he has mentored via The Voice–Danielle Bradbury and Cassadee Pope.

In Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride’s eyes, it’s on. It will be interesting to learn what–if anything–Keith Hill says about women in country music during his next interview.

It seems a few ‘tomatoes’ have been thrown in his direction–with more likely to come.

  • Meghan Linsey Runner-Up on ‘The Voice,’ Sawyer Fredericks Takes the Win

Meghan Linsey wasn’t crowned The Voice on Tuesday night during the season eight finale, but she did emerge the runner-up. Blake Shelton’s final contestant is likely in for a huge career change in the wake of the show however. Transforming from a country singer to a powerhouse soul singer, it will be shocking if no one signs her for a future album.

Competing against teenagers Koryn Hawthorne and Sawyer Fredericks–both on Pharrell Williams’s team–and Joshua Davis of Team Adam, Meghan Linsey was up against some stellar talent. Had the show been about actual singing skills at the end–and not about votes from the public–many believe Meghan Linsey would have won.

Sawyer Fredericks walked away with the crown, however. At just 16, the homeschooled son of a farming family in upstate New York, won The Voice. His vocals are powerful and definitely unique. But they didn’t really compare with those of Meghan Linsey.

A few years ago, Linsey penned a song called ‘Change My Mind.’ She performed it live on The Voice on Monday night, and the music video was released today.

One of the highlights of The Voice finale on Tuesday night was watching Meghan Linsey perform alongside Kelly Clarkson.

Meghan Linsey reached out to Sawyer Fredericks following his big win.

While surely no one begrudges Sawyer Fredericks winning The Voice, many believed Meghan Linsey would take the win.

Are you among those disappointed that she didn’t?

  • Meghan Trainor Performs Acoustic Version of ‘Dear Future Husband’ on ‘The Voice’ Finale

Meghan Trainor wowed fans at The Voice finale on Tuesday night, performing an acoustic version of her hit song, ‘Dear Future Husband.’ Having served earlier in the season as a mentor for Blake Shelton’s team, it seemed fitting that Trainor was brought back for the show’s big finale.

Accompanied only be her ukelele and one lone man on an acoustic guitar, Meghan Trainor gave a stellar performance. There’s something about all that passion she puts into her songs that is highlighted when presented in acoustic form.

Meghan Trainor burst onto the music scene last year with her first hit single, ‘All About That Bass.’ Since then her name has been front and center in music publications–both printed and online.

On Sunday, Meghan sang a duet at the Billboard Music Awards with Chrissy Teigen’s husband, John Legend.

Contestants on The Voice were no doubt very encouraged by Meghan Trainor. At just 21 years old, she has accomplished what many singers don’t do in a lifetime.

Did you see The Voice on Tuesday night?

Spoiler alert: don’t read any further if you missed the show.

Sawyer Fredericks was crowned The Voice for season eight, with Blake Shelton’s Meghan Linsey as the runner-up. Adam Levine’s Josh Davis came in third, with Pharrell Williams’s second contestant (Sawyer Fredericks was also part of Team Pharrell) taking fourth place.

In addition to the excitement of Sawyer Frederick’s winning, the crowd definitely loved watching Meghan Trainor perform.

Did you love her acoustic performance?

  • Meghan Linsey: Will Blake Shelton’s Contestant Win Season Eight of ‘The Voice?’

Meghan Linsey is one of four contestants vying for the title of The Voice. And tonight–May 19th–the season eight winner will be crowned.

The only remaining contestant for Coach Blake Shelton, Meghan Linsey is up against three other powerhouse singers for the title of The Voice.

Us Weekly reports that in addition to Linsey, Adam Levine’s contestant Joshua Davis is a contender, as are two of Pharrell Williams’s contestants–both Sawyer Fredericks and Koryn Hawthorne. Fredericks and Hawthorne are the younger of the four contestants at just 16 and 17, respectively.

On Monday night, Meghan Linsey wowed the crowd in The Voice audience, as well as fans watching from home, with her original song, ‘Change My Mind.’

The soulful ballad was about a real-life bad relationship she experienced several years back. Her song showed everyone at The Voice that Meghan Linsey isn’t just an amazing singer, she has some powerful songwriting skills as well.

Meghan Linsey was once part of a country duo called Steel Magnolia. She even opened for Blake Shelton some years ago when he was on the road. Last night Meghan and Coach Blake took to the stage together.

Now shining as an accomplished blues singer, she has sort of left her country roots behind, but still hopes to win The Voice–for herself and for her country coach, Blake Shelton.

Do you think Meghan Linsey will emerge as tonight’s winner on The Voice, or do you expect that title will go to Joshua Davis, Sawyer Fredericks, or Koryn Hawthorne instead?

Who do you hope will win The Voice for season eight?

  • Sheryl Crow to Highlight ‘The Voice’ Finale on Tuesday

Sheryl Crow is just one of the top performers who will take the stage at The Voice finale on Tuesday evening. The show has a history of bringing in exceptional guest singers, and the finale will be no exception.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, John Fogerty, Ed Sheeran, and Meghan Trainor are all part of the lineup that now includes Sheryl Crow.

It was back in 2013 when Sheryl Crow last appeared on The Voice, when she served as a mentor for Blake Shelton’s team during season four. She also performed her song ‘Easy’ during that appearance.

Last week The Voice had a star-studded group of performers. Nate Ruess, Snoop Dogg, and Walk the Moon all visited the show during its semi-finals and gave stellar performances–right along with the contestants.

Since Sheryl Crow will take the stage on The Voice just ahead of the summer season, some are speculating whether or not she’ll perform one of her oldies but goodies, ‘Soak Up the Sun.’

No matter what she sings, Sheryl Crow will thrill the audience–as they await Wednesday’s results to learn who wins this season of The Voice.

  • Blake Shelton: ‘The Voice’ Coach Goes on a Twitter Rant

Blake Shelton of The Voice went on a Twitter rant Monday, which has since gone viral. And while this isn’t all that unusual for the country singer, this time the subject matter was serious.

Shelton is coaching on of four semi-finalists on The Voice this season. On Tuesday night, Meghan Linsey was announced as one of the four contestants headed to next week’s finals. She, along with Sawyer Fredericks, Koryn Hawthorne, and Joshua Davis will all compete for the title of The Voice. India Carney bid goodbye to the competition and its coaches on Tuesday.

So what was Blake Shelton ranting about via Twitter? It had nothing to do with The Voice, and everything to do with thinking for oneself instead. He touched upon the opinions of celebrities and cautioned followers to be mindful of watching the news.

Shortly after his Twitter rant, Blake Shelton apologized for ranting.

Do you suppose Blake Shelton was already drinking when he took to Twitter to state his beliefs?

Do you think Blake Shelton stands a chance of winning The Voice this season? Meghan Linsey is one amazing singer. Wouldn’t Blake love to throw another win in Adam Levine’s face?

The two are famous for their bromance and hilarious banter.

  • India Carney Leaves ‘The Voice’ Ahead of Finals, Christina Aguilera Doesn’t Win This Season

India Carney went home from The Voice on Tuesday night, just ahead of this season’s finals. India’s departure means Coach Christina Aguilera won’t win this season of The Voice, as some had predicted earlier in the season.

Tuesday night found five contestants left on The Voice. Team Blake–coached by Blake Shelton–saw Meghan Linsey vying for her spot in the finals. Pharrell Williams was left with both Koryn Hawthorne and Sawyer Fredericks–both of whom are moving on to the finals. Adam Levine still has Joshua Davis in the competition.

Sawyer Fredericks was the first contestant saved by America’s votes on Tuesday night’s show–followed by Meghan Linsey. Joshua Davis was the last save, meaning Koryn Hawthorne and India Carney both performed for the Twitter save.

Fans tweeted to save Koryn Hawthorne, meaning India Carney said goodbye to her time on The Voice.

India Carney is a classically trained singer, and is a student at UCLA’s music program. She and her classmates formed a band that once played a gig opening for The Roots–the band featured on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

There is no question that–even though India Carney has left The Voice–her future as a singer is beyond bright. It will be a shock if a producer doesn’t scoop her up in the coming weeks and offer her some sort of deal.

Were you shocked to see India Carney voted off The Voice last night? Did you expect it would be Koryn Hawthorne to go home instead?

  • ‘American Idol’ Ending With Season 15, Did ‘The Voice’ Cause Its Demise?

American Idol is coming to an end following its 15th season, which is scheduled to begin in January. Do you suppose The Voice played a role in its demise? The singing competition show was the first of its kind, and was initially met with a huge viewership. After NBC introduced The Voice, however, the ratings plummeted.

Us Weekly reports that Fox made the announcement Monday morning, May 11th, about American Idol’s cancellation.

American Idol will begin its 15th–and final–season this January on FOX,” the network wrote in a statement. “A season-long celebratory event, American Idol XV will feature host Ryan Seacrest and judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., as they search for the final Idol superstar and pay tribute to the past 14 seasons of amazingly talented contestants and the millions of fans who tweeted, texted and championed their Idols.”

American Idol will have graced the airwaves and scoured through countless prospective star singers for 13 years when it ends its run. The only constant figure throughout its entire reign is Ryan Seacrest. During the show’s first season, he introduced judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson. That trio went on to work with Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres, Lopez, Steven Tyler, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Urban, and Connick, Jr. The trio of Lopez, Urban, and Connick, Jr. has been in place since 2014’s 13th season of American Idol.

Some major talent has come from American Idol throughout the years. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, and Kellie Pickler all competed on or won American Idol.

Are you disappointed to hear American Idol is coming to an end with its 15th season? Do you think The Voice , with judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Pharrell Wiliams, and Christina Aguilera is a better quality program? Might it have contributed to American Idol calling it quits?

  • Adam Levine Sugar-Bombed Before ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ Appearance, Prankster Arrested

Adam Levine was the victim of a sugar-bomber as he arrived for a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday in L.A. The Voice judge and Maroon 5 frontman was entering the studio when he was suddenly pelted with powdered sugar. Half his face and much of his clothing was covered.

TMZ reports that Adam Levine was greeting fans when the sugar-bombing took place. They also report that he wasn’t happy about what happened.

It is uncertain if the sugar-bomber was protesting anything or was simply being mischievous, but he was detained by security and arrested for battery when the police arrived.

As lead singer of Maroon 5, Adam Levine is well known for belting out the lyrics to their hit song ‘Sugar.’ Maybe the sugar-bomber was simply an over-zealous fan?

Adam Levine entered the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio following the incident and got cleaned up. He appeared on the show later on–wearing the same sweater that was coated with powdered sugar–indicating he survived the incident with little to no real harm done.

Did you catch Adam Levine on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night? Did he seem a little sweeter than he usually is when teased mercilessly by Blake Shelton on The Voice?

  • Miranda Lambert Aims to Furnish Her New Home With Junk

Miranda Lambert is wearing her country cred on her sleeve. Well, she would if she had the t-shirt she wants.

“I’m inspired by the free-spirited decorating style of the Junk Gypsies,” she says, referencing the HGTV television show. “They’re about empowering women and being creative and embracing yourself. Sometimes I think people second-guess themselves, like ‘It’s too much color or it’s too big or too loud.’ They’re the queens of ‘It doesn’t have to match,’ and I love that. My decorating mantra is ‘What would the Gypsies do?’ I really need to put that on a T-shirt.”

Of course, all this decorating Miranda Lambert is talking about is for her new home she is building with hubby Blake Shelton.

“We’re building a new house, and I’ve been saving inspiration on Pinterest. A friend of mine recently said, ‘I can see your Pinterest boards, and all you have on there are dog rooms.’ My husband [singer Blake Shelton] and I have 15 rescue animals, and I spend way too much time planning our pets’ spaces. I’m like, okay, I probably need to move on to the laundry room!”

But back to decorating with junky odds and ends, Miranda Lambert admits that she has a collection of oddball items that will no doubt find a place of prominent display in her new home.

“I love all things vintage, and I have a growing collection of salt-and-pepper shakers. I have about 50 sets right now, and it’s getting out of control. My favorite—a ’55 Chevy with an Airstream—came from a fan.”

“Growing up, my house was basically condemned when we got it, but my mother was determined to make it awesome. It had mismatched carpet, and the halls were creaky. But those little things that were imperfect were what made it perfect. It’s funny, because I had friends with really nice houses—with pools!—and they always wanted to come to our house. I think our home just had love. I think that’s why country music resonates with so many people. It’s not about being perfect. It’s real.”

This house will have plenty of room for her and hubby Blake to do what country folks do best — raise their own garden.

“My dad taught me to live off the land. I now have my own garden, but Blake is really the gardener. This year, we’re planting tomatoes and strawberries to make jam. I have a little downtime this summer, so I’m looking forward to this task.”

  • Miranda Lambert Sizzled in Short Shorts at Stagecoach, Wowed Crowd With Her Entertaining Skills

Miranda Lambert was sizzling hot in her leather short shorts at Stagecoach this weekend, but it was the country singer’s entertaining prowess that wowed the fans even more.

The wife of country music sensation Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert knows how to work a crowd. But unlike some at the music festival, she didn’t “forget her lyrics, drink onstage or engage in aimless, repetitive banter between numbers.”

Miranda Lambert was there to entertain, and that’s exactly what she did.

In addition to some of her tried-and-true favorites (‘Fastest Girl in Town,’ ‘Little Red Wagon,’ ‘Kerosene,’ ‘Mama’s Broken Heart,’ and more) Lambert sang a cover of ZZ Topp’s ‘Tush.’ ZZ Topp played earlier that same evening on an adjacent stage.

Miranda Lambert has overtaken fan favorites like Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood, and is who most country music fans and musicians alike consider the ‘queen of country.’ In a facet of the music industry where male performers reign, Lambert has more than proven she can get more than her share of radio airplay and sold-out shows.

Sure, Miranda Lambert was beyond sexy at Stagecoach this weekend, but she was first and foremost a talented singer and entertainer. Fans got their money’s worth when they banked on seeing her show this weekend.

  • Christina Aguilera Talks ‘Nashville’ Role, Is Country Music in Her Future?

Christina Aguilera is starring in an arc on the hit TV show Nashville. She kicked it off last Wednesday, and returns this week in her role as Jade St. John. St. John is a pop singer whose dream is to go country. Aguilera’s appearance on the show has fans wondering if The Voice coach might try her hand at the country genre.

“I think my roots will stay where they are,” she said in a recent interview with People magazine, “but that doesn’t mean there won’t be more collaborations down the line.”

Christina Aguilera is open to even more TV appearances, however.

“My experiences in acting have been really great, so if the role is right I am always open to it,” she says, adding that her “true love will always stay music.”

Aguilera explains her role on Nashville as that of a singer who is “caught between her love and her passion and what the record label wants of her as an artist.”

Christina Aguilera was more than willing to transform her appearance for this role, too, which isn’t unlike the ‘Beautiful’ singer in real life. For Nashville, she went brunette, and pink as well.

Long familiar with the world of country music, thanks to fellow Voice coach Blake Shelton, Aguilera was comfortable making the temporary switch. She did such a great job of it that she’s singing at the 50th ACM Awards in Arlington, Texas on Sunday night, where Blake Shelton is serving as one of the hosts alongside Luke Bryan.

Did you catch Christina Aguilera last Wednesday in her role as Jade St. John on Nashville? Do you think The Voice judge has what it takes to make a permanent switch to the country music world?

  • Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan Bromance Hot and Hilarious Ahead of ACM Awards

Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are hosting Sunday’s ACM Awards, and their bromance seems to be heating up in advance of the big day.

In a press conference on Friday, it became abundantly clear that humor will be as prevalent as music at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, and since it’s the 50th anniversary of the event, there will no doubt be some special performances, too.

Miranda Lambert leads the nominees with eight ACM nominations. Keith Urban and Eric Church will start the event with a kickoff performance. A-list attendees include Taylor Swift and Garth Brooks.

“I don’t even know who’s singing. That’s just the God’s honest truth,” Blake Shelton says. “I know Miranda is and I always look forward to that.”

The banter between Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan at this press conference was hilarious, and is no doubt only a prelude of what’s to come on Sunday.

“I want something to go wrong today so I know something won’t go wrong during the show,” ACM Awards executive producer R.A. Clark, son of the late Dick Clark, said.

“That will be Blake’s rehearsal,” Bryan replied.

Both Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are nominated for male vocalist of the year.

“We can duke it out right now,” Bryan said when asked who should win.

“I’m going to take the high road here,” Shelton said, “and I say I do.”

Blake Shelton reportedly won’t be holding back when it comes to jokes at the ACM Awards.

“Being it’s the 50th, it’s cool we’re going way back and we’re honoring some of these artists that have been here like Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert–digging way back,” he said to laughter from the press conference attendees.

Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Reba McEntire, and Brooks & Dunn will also be honored at the event.

“You’re probably an icon award guy, too, aren’t you?” Blake Shelton asked Luke Bryan. “No, you’re too new.”

Talk turned to The Voice, and how the singing competition show has changed Blake Shelton.

“He’s been getting some facials,” he said. “He’s hydrating early in the morning. He’s exfoliating.”

“I apologize for my tardiness,” said Bryan, who arrived a couple minutes late to the press conference. “It’s a lot of work getting prepared to look better than Blake.”

If this was the comedy banter between Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan at the press conference, then the ACM Awards should be positively hilarious. Whether Shelton beats Bryan out for male vocalist of the year or it goes the other way around, their bromance will help the two maintain their bosom buddy status.

Will you be tuning it to see the show? It airs Sunday evening at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Fans might forget it’s a country music awards show when they listen to these two in their roles as comedians.

  • Blake Shelton Enlists Meghan Trainor as Advisor on ‘The Voice’

Blake Shelton has enlisted the help of ‘All About That Bass‘ singer Meghan Trainor, as his celebrity advisor on The Voice this season.

The Voice’s Battle Rounds started Monday night, with Meghan Trainor offering her advice to Blake Shelton’s team members. She was moved to tears when contestants Brian Johnson and Joshua Davis battled it out, singing Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.’

Trainor said she lost a friend recently, and that the song really touched her heart.

“Some of the most exciting things that’s happened for me in recent times is seeing artists that I’ve worked with on this show have some success, whether it’s getting a record deal, whether it’s winning an award,” Blake Shelton says of his return for yet another season. “Whatever it is, being nominated for awards those are the things that keep me coming back here as a coach on The Voice.”

In past seasons of The Voice, Blake’s team mentors have included Kelly Clarkson, the Band Perry, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town, Cher, and Michael Buble.

Meghan Trainor appeared on the last season of The Voice, singing her hit song ‘Lips Are Movin’.’ Fans will no doubt love it if she performs one of her songs while serving as a mentor this season, too.

Blake Shelton has won four seasons of The Voice to date. Do you think having Meghan Trainor as his celebrity advisor this season might help Team Blake score its fifth win?

‘All About That Bass’ singer Meghan Trainor has signed on to The Voice. She will serve as a celebrity advisor for the contestants on Blake Shelton’s team in the singing competition. Trainor and Shelton start rehearsals with Team Blake on Monday night’s episode of The Voice.

Meghan Trainor is no stranger to The Voice. Last season she sang her follow up hit to ‘All About That Bass,’ called ‘Lips Are Movin.” She received two Grammy nods for ‘All About That Bass,’ including nominations for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Meghan Trainor once planned to audition for The Voice, but backed out at the last minute.

Trainor is a bit of a change from the celebrity advisors Blake Shelton has had for his team in past years. Aside from Reba McEntire, The Band Perry, and Little Big Town (all advisors one might expect for Blake Shelton’s team), Shelton’s advisors have included Sheryl Crow, Cher, Kelly Clarkson, and Michael Buble. Meghan Trainor will likely be a big hit on The Voice this season–perhaps even drawing in a younger crowd.

Do see foresee ‘All About That Bass’ singer Meghan Trainor serving as a valuable asset on The Voice? Can she help Team Blake once again rise above the teams coached by Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and Pharrell Williams? Blake Shelton has thus far won more episodes of The Voice than any other coach on the show. Will this be another winning year for the country singer?

Fans are no doubt hoping Meghan Trainor will treat them to a performance of both ‘All About That Bass’ and ‘Lips Are Movin” during her time on the show.

You can watch The Voice on Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC at 8:00 PM ET.
