  • Carrie Underwood Gets Big Gift from Miranda Lambert

Carrie Underwood got a pretty amazing gift from fellow singing sensation Miranda Lambert. So what is it that one country music star bestowed upon the other? Even though no one actually knows the reason why, it seems Blake Shelton’s wife bought Carrie Underwood a brand new motorcycle. Maybe he’ll share with his fans on the next season of The Voice exactly what prompted Miranda to do such a thing.

Probably the most humorous thing about the gift and its giving is that Underwood doesn’t know a thing about how to ride a motorcycle. It does look as though she’s more than willing to learn, however.

The two ladies just finished recording a song together for Miranda Lambert’s upcoming album, and they actually performed it–Something Bad–at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards just a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe this motorcycle was a thank you to Carrie from Miranda for collaborating on the song?

That’s a heck of a thank you gift.

Carrie Underwood recently shared an Instagram photo of herself along with pal Miranda Lambert prior to their incredible duet at the Billboard Music Awards. She captioned the photo, “Somethin’ bad about to happen… @OfficialBBMAs @mirandalambert #CountryMusicRocks”

Both of the country music stars have already embraced their motorcycle senses of style. When they performed Something Bad, each wore leather clothing that brought out their sexy motorcycle chick alter egos.

Can’t you just see Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert heading down the road–bandannas tied around their heads–rocking leather chaps and vests? Don’t you imagine they’d have throngs of followers as they did so–both motorcycle enthusiasts as well as those driving cars?

Miranda Lambert’s new album comes out on June 3rd. Something Bad is on it. Do you sense a music video on motorcycles in the near future?

  • The Voice Winner of Season Six Is *Spoilers*. Who’s Up For Season Seven?

Internet spoilage being what it is, it’s hard to avoid reading about the outcome of a show as popular as The Voice. But it’s usually mandatory to declare an official spoiler alert at the beginning of articles such as these, just in case you’re reading preview text or clicked on this by accident.

    SPOILER ALERT.

There. You’ve been warned. Read at your own peril.

The fact that you’re reading this article at all is a sign that you either watched the season finale or you don’t mind the spoilers with your reality TV.

Last night, Josh Kaufman was declared the winner.

He may not have been the favorite. And there may have been a glitch involving iTunes, that got his coach, Usher, really upset.

    But he won nevertheless.

Usher has had a lot to say about the win, including a message of hope to new coaches Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani. “(They can) be motivated by the fact that I was able to win ‘The Voice,’” he told TODAY. “I think that they are both incredible artists, and as long as they are as true in their process of working with talent as they are with their creative, then it should work. They’re geniuses. For the most part they should just be true to who they are, that’s what I did. It was a bit unorthodox … but that was all a process of artist development.”

Season seven of the voice is on the horizon. But little is known as to what it will bring. We know that Usher won’t be returning. Will his “replacement” Pharrell Williams claim a win for whoever he coaches? Or will we see a win from old guard members Adam Levine or Blake Shelton?

  • ‘The Voice’ Winner: Were You Surprised?

‘The Voice’ Winner: Were You Surprised?

The Voice winner was crowned on Tuesday night with some fans no doubt in shock over who it turned out to be. Do note that if you haven’t yet watched Tuesday night’s episode via your DVR on a service like On Demand that the following content contains a spoiler.

Many fans believed Team Adam’s Christina Grimmie was a shoe-in for the title of The Voice. After all, she was the singer whose initial claim to fame was that of a YouTube sensation. It was highly anticipated that her fan base would allow her the necessary number of votes to surpass both Team Blake’s Jake Worthington and Team Usher’s Josh Kaufman. Clearly that was not the case on Tuesday night, however, as Christina Grimmie wound up the third place singer of the three finalists.

At that point many viewers were excited–not because Christina Grimmie wasn’t crowned The Voice–but because it was a complete toss up at that point as to which of the remaining gentlemen would win the competition.

Before the spoiler, let’s briefly recap the entire finale. The performances were spectacular, with all three finalists bringing back contestants from earlier in this season’s show. Big name performances included Tim McGraw, Ed Sheeran, Alabama, Robin Thicke, Coldplay, and more. Last season’s winner of The Voice–Tessanne Chin–also sang, belting out a tune in her sultry, strong voice that made her last season’s clear frontrunner long before she won the title.

Even though Christina Grimmie didn’t win the title of The Voice, she went on stage Tuesday night as a huge winner just the same. Among the high points of the early moments of the show was one in which Adam Levine told her he wanted to sign her to his own record label. She was shown backstage listening to his announcement.

Jake Worthington won the hearts of Americans for the umpteenth time during this season of The Voice when he announced he was going to give his Kia–a gift to the three finalists of The Voice–to his grandmother.

“Since she bought my first vehicle, this is my chance to give back to her,” he told Carson Daly.

So who is The Voice winner? It’s Josh Kaufman. His bluesy ballads and raspy falsettos won over fans enough to crown him The Voice winner. Congratulations to Josh and to Team Usher. For once in the history of The Voice, The Voice winner isn’t attached to Team Adam or Team Blake. Usher had fun sharing that fact with his Twitter followers.

Josh Kaufman has been rendered almost speechless so far.

Are you surprised that Josh Kaufman is The Voice winner? Were you among those who truly believed Christina Grimmie had the title hands down?

  • ‘The Voice’: Josh Kaufman of Team Usher Wins

‘The Voice’: Josh Kaufman of Team Usher Wins

After battling it out for weeks, Josh Kaufman emerged Tuesday from a line-up of particularly gifted performers to win this season’s The Voice competition.

Finalists Josh Kaufman of Team Usher, Christina Grimmie of Team Adam Levine, and Jake Worthington of Team Blake Shelton battled it out throughout the season, and it was difficult to decide who truly had “the voice” among the talented singers.

Unfortunately, only one could be crowned the winner — and this season, it was Kaufman.

“This is a show about dreams, about the journey of being an artist, and he represents all of that,” said Usher after the win. “From the time of the blind auditions to being stolen, he’s been on an amazing journey.”

In his pre-The Voice life, Kaufman played local gigs with his band in the Indianapolis area and supported his family as an SAT prep tutor.

At the announcement by host Carson Daly that he had won the competition, Kaufman was a little calmer than one would expect.

“I can’t even talk,” he said after winning the competition. “I’m overwhelmed. I’m surprised. I’m happy. I’m relieved. This has been so much more of an experience than I ever could have imagined.”

Kaufman’s win brings Usher to the coach’s winners circle — only Shelton and Levine have claimed that spot in other seasons. Ironically, Kaufman began his journey on Team Adam until Usher stole him away.

“This is the last big chance for me and for my family. To be able to do this for them and for Usher, it’s huge,” Kaufman said before performing.

The other young finalists Worthington and Grimmie, while they didn’t win, walk away with some great prospects for their future.

Worthington, a 17-year-old country singer from La Porte, Texas, who was turned away last season during the blind auditions, said his experience on the show reminded him that it’s ultimately about the music.

“It’s not the recording contract and it’s not the money,” said Worthington. “It’s getting on that stage, grabbing the microphone and doing what we love – and that’s what matters.”

YouTube sensation Grimmie, 20, came in third. However, she still came out a winner after receiving some good news earlier in the show. Levine told her that despite the outcome, “you will have a record deal because I would like to sign you for my label.”

Kaufman will receive a recording contract and head out on a 31-date summer tour with the other two finalists, and fan-favorite Kristen Merlin, along with season 5 winner Tessanne Chin, runner-ups Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin, and season 1 favorite Dia Frampton.

  • Miranda Lambert: “We’ve Been Divorced Four Times”

Miranda Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton are well known country music superstars, and with that comes the unwanted tabloid attention.

During a recent interview with Billboard, Lambert addressed the gossip, not only about her marriage, but about her significant weight loss as well.

“I think I’ve had like five sets of twins in the last two years, and we’ve been divorced four times, and one of us had a $100 million divorce,” Miranda joked about the rumors circulating about her relationship with Blake. Lambert assured her fans that the divorce rumors are false, and that she and Blake are happier than ever.

Miranda recently lost a noticeable amount of weight, and there has been speculation as to why. She explained that her weight loss was not due to depression or relationship problems, but her just wanting to feel better about herself. “It just feels like you can’t do anything for yourself anymore,” she said. “Have you ever thought I might just be turning 30 and trying to get a little ahead of the game? Isn’t that just a normal thing to do?”

Miranda also discussed her evolvement as an artist. She made her name to fame with her bad girl songs such as Gun Power and Lead and Kerosene, but she said she has another softer side, which she has tried to show with her songs like The House that Built Me. ‘Hey, I have this other side. I love pink and puppies, too,’” Lambert said.

“All that fiery stuff and guns is what set me apart in the beginning, because nobody else was doing it,” she said. “And nobody else was really that. You have to actually live it, or people are going to find out it’s fake. That is who I am. I’m just a Texas girl that speaks her mind, and sometimes that gets me in trouble.”

“With success, I’ve been able to sort of calm that down and go, ‘OK, I don’t have to be guns a-blazin’ all the time,” she added. “People are listening, so I can open up my softer side and show people who the whole Miranda is.’”

  • Miranda Lambert: Rumors Are Laughable

    Miranda Lambert: Rumors Are Laughable

Miranda Lambert is flush with success lately, what with her recent Academy of Country Music award and massive nominations in the upcoming Country Music Awards.

This success and security, along with all that affirmation, allows for a little slow down on her attitude and demeanor and the surprising result is her ability to showcase a sweeter sound.

“With success, I’ve been able to sort of calm that down and go, ‘OK, I don’t have to be guns a-blazin’ all the time. People are listening, so I can open up my softer side and show people who the whole Miranda is.’”

So, what keeps her grounded through her back-to-back awards and abundant critical acclaim? Well, her marriage to country star Blake Shelton for one thing. Though the pair have endured the many inevitable tabloid rumors, they are able to laugh it all off.

“I think I’ve had like five sets of twins in the last two years, and we’ve been divorced four times, and one of us had a $100 million divorce.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlAJAPl2RCk

Another would be their beautiful small town existence. The couple call Tishomingo, Okla. (pop. 3,100) home, where she owns a women’s western wear store, appropriately named The Pink Pistol, and is preparing to open a bed-and-breakfast. This dream would be nearly impossible for a rising star in Beverly Hills. She spends many of her days like any other normal country gal, feeding animals and caring for their horses.

“I love the slow pace, the normalcy that it gives me.” she said to Billboard. .

Another sign of normalcy, though you wouldn’t be able to tell that from the insane tabloid attention, is her desire to lose some extra weight and her bombshell appearance at the ACM awards. I mean, seriously. That is the most normal thing about her life.

“It just feels like you can’t do anything for yourself anymore,” she says. “Have you ever thought I might just be turning 30 and trying to get a little ahead of the game? Isn’t that just a normal thing to do?”

    Yes. Yes it is.

  • Sisaundra Lewis Eliminated From The Voice

Sisaundra Lewis Eliminated From The Voice

Last night, the top five contestants were revealed on The Voice.

Kat Perkins, Christina Grimmie, Kristen Merlin, Jake Worthington and Josh Kaufman were revealed to be safe, while Sisaundra Lewis, Audra Mclaughlin and Delvin Choice were sent home.

After the elimination, reporters got a chance to talk to Sisaundra about her journey on The Voice. She said that working with her coach Blake Shelton was a huge honor, and she learned so much from him.

“Working with a huge talent like Blake, and him taking my gift and defining it more: just like do this, don’t do this, work on this,” she said. “He has just been pouring all this knowledge into me and I just feel so honored to be able to receive it. He’s just unbelievable. And the way he tells you how to do it, you can’t help but just go yes, sir.”

Sisaundra originally did not want to try out for The Voice, but her 15-year-old daughter urged her to take on the challenge. She says gaining the nerve to come compete and do so well is the most valuable thing she gained from her experience.

“The most valuable thing I am going to take away from this is I actually had the courage to accept my 15-year-old daughter’s challenge to come here and compete. And I have never competed in my life,” she continued. “So it’s a statement of saying you can do anything you ever want to do in your life. And for “The Voice” to embrace me and treat me just as well as they have treated every one else regardless of age and anything else, I’m taking away from this the most positive experience that I have probably had in my life to this point.”

While Sisaundra says she doesn’t know what the future holds, she hopes to one day record an album. “I don’t know exactly what is next but I know that god has amazing things in store for me and I am ready to receive that.”

  • Blake Shelton Sings Duet With Shakira

Blake Shelton Sings Duet With Shakira

Shakira has decided to take a walk on the country side, and has recruited fellow The Voice coach Blake Shelton to help her.

Shelton was approached by Shakira when she decided she wanted to shake it up a little bit and try something new on her latest album. Of course, Shelton agreed and together they belted out a duet titled Medicine, which is a perfect mixture of country and pop.

“I told him I wanted to work with Nashville people,” Shakira told Billboard. “I was a little tired of L.A. I wanted people with another point of view, real people with roots with whom I feel comfortable working in the same room. And I told Blake I wanted to do a song that had the narrative of a country song, that was picturesque, that was a real song. But it also needed to suit me, because after all, I’m Colombian.”

Shakira first told Blake that she wanted to write a song with traditional roots and acoustic guitars. Blake was originally skeptical about whether or not she would do it. However, he received a call from Shakira a month later saying that the song was ready, and that she had sent him a copy to review. “I think she did a hell of a job,” Shelton said.

“One thing is for someone like her to say she’s going to do something and another is to do it. And I’ll be damned, a month and a half ago she wrote me and said, ‘I wrote the song, and I want you to tell me what you think.’ And I said: ‘Gosh dang, you did exactly what you said you’d do. It sounds like a hit song.’”

Shakira admitted that she didn’t think Blake would like it. “I was so nervous. You have no idea. I was so scared he was going to say, ‘No, Shakira. I love you, but no,’” she explained. “But then he said, ‘Sister, I love you. This is great.’”

After seeing Blake’s reaction, she asked him to sing it with her. Blake agreed and said that he was honored to sing with her. Shakira’s album, which hit stores on March 25, was her first album to be released in four years.

  • Gwen Stefani Signs on to Judge ‘The Voice’

Gwen Stefani, co-founder and lead vocalist of pop rock outfit No Doubt, has just signed on as a judge of the NBC singing contest program The Voice. It’s been reported that Stefani will fill in for Christina Aguilera, who is on maternity leave. The 44-year-old singer-songwriter, fashion designer and actress will also take up coaching duties on the show, alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams.

NBC had asked Aguilera to stay on for the upcoming seventh season of The Voice, though she declined. Stefani signed a one-year contract as her replacement, and Aguilera plans to return for season 8, after she and finace Matt Rutler welcome their baby girl.

Stefani had previously worked with Williams during a collaboration on her 2004 solo hit Hollaback Girl. Pharrell brought Stefani onstage during his Coachella set last week to perform the song, and gave her an enthusiastic introduction beforehand – “I can tell you right now there’s only one incredible, historical, most important, incredibly talented, fucking awesome, rad girl in the world.”

Here is a clip of the Coachella duet:

Stefani’s voice has been described as unusual and dynamic, and has been noted for its deep vibrato. On the single Cool, her vocal range covers roughly one and a half octaves. Stefani has been influenced by and compared to pop icon Madonna. In 2007, she told Elle magazine, “A lot of my influence came from her early work, like directly, like a Xerox.” Stefani was nominated five times at the 2006 Grammy Awards for her debut solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby., including Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.

  • Gwen Stefani to Replace Aguilera on ‘The Voice’

According to Us Weekly, Gwen Stefani will have her own big red chair on NBC’s The Voice for the seventh season, replacing pregnant Christina Aguilera.

No worries Christina fans – this is only a one-off gig. She’s expected to be back after she has her little one and has already signed on for Season Eight.

According to TMZ, producers began searching for Aguilera’s replacement after the Your Body singer announced her pregnancy back in February.

Apparently the network wanted Aguilera to stay on during her pregnancy, but the Fighter singer is reported to be “struggling” and decided to take a break from this rotation in the coach’s seat.

Pharrell Williams is slated to take over the big red chair for Cee Lo Green, and it looks like the bromance between coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will continue as they are expected to return.

Stefani and Williams are used to working together so it’s not much of a stretch for them.

Last week, Stefani appeared onstage during Pharrell‘s set at Coachella to sing her hit Hollaback Girl, which they co-wrote nearly 10 years ago. Stefani was also featured on Pharrell’s 2005 first solo single, Can I Have It Like That.

The Voice is just about to begin live rounds for Season 6 and airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

  • Tim McGraw And Faith Hill Perform Duet At ACM Awards [Video]

Last night was the big night for country music, and the ACM awards provided a variety of entertainment from multiple stages. One of the sweetest performances was arguably the one that took place between husband and wife Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

Tim McGraw was nominated for four awards, and took home one win for Video Of The Year. He won the award for his song “Highway Don’t Care,” which was a duet with Taylor Swift. Mcgraw and Hill have been married for 17 years now, and after last night’s performance, it is evident that they are still going strong.

Faith Hill was not nominated for any awards after having not released an album since 2008, when she released a holiday album called “Joy To The World.” She also has three kids with husband Tim McGraw, and may simply be taking off time from her career to raise their kids.

She still has that voice that earned her 14 ACM Awards in the past though, and gave the audience an incredible duet with McGraw. Before the country music power couple of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, there was Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and perhaps they are trying to prove that they have still got it in them after all their years in the business.

Tim McGraw was not nominated for Entertainer Of The Year, which went to George Strait, who everyone was happy to see as the winner, but he did receive a nomination for Album Of The Year for his 2013 release “Two Lanes Of Freedom.”

When Tim McGraw first took the stage, he was alone, but Faith Hill walked out mid-song, and surprised everyone with a touching romantic duet called “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s.” The song is set to appear on Mcgraw’s upcoming album titled “Sundown Heaven Town.”

The country duo is set to perform next at Las Vegas’ Venetian Theater as part of their Soul2Soul residency, coming up this weekend. How many people caught Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill’s touching duet last night?

  • Blake Shelton Sets Record For No.1 Singles On Billboard Country Airplay Chart

He has quickly become one of the most popular and successful male country performers, and Blake Shelton recently set the record for No.1 singles on the Billboard airplay chart for country music.

Blake Shelton is set to co-host the Academy Of Country Music awards along with Luke Bryan, which is set to air on Sunday, April 6th. He also has a big television gig as one of the coaches of The Voice, and his fellow star of the show, Shakira, will be joining him for a duet during the award show.

Shakira recently released her single “Medicine,” which features Blake Shelton, and the song debuted at No. 57 on Billboard’s Country Airplay. It was the 35th time that Shelton had a song on the chart, but only the first for Shakira. The song is featured on Shakira’s self-titled album that was released on March 25th.

This is the first time that Shakira has made an attempt at a country album, but has been around Shelton for the past few years, and may have soaked up some of his music style. Speaking on the new single, she said “When I wrote the song I didn’t know what direction to go in and I did like eight versions. Dance, pop…but I said no, this is a country song.”

In order to break the record for most No.1 hits on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, he had his 11th single make it to the top, for his single “Doin’ What She Likes.” He was previously tied with Brad Paisley, who had 10 No.1 singles from 2005 to 2009.

The Nielsen BDS-based Billboard Country Airplay chart was launched the week of January 20th, 1990. Following behind Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley are Zack Brown Band with seven, and Carrie Underwood and Toby Keith, who both have six.

In addition to his co-hosting duties at this Sunday’s ACM Awards, Blake Shelton is nominated in five different categories including Male Vocalist Of The Year. For a full list of the nominations, check of the ACM Awards website. He is also nominated for Entertainer of The Year, along with his wife, Miranda Lambert, who also received a female vocalist nomination.

After racking up 11 No.1 singles, he may have some momentum heading into the awards show. What awards will Blake Shelton end up getting?

  • Adam Levine’s Sexual Problems With Blake Shelton

If you are a follower of the singing competition The Voice, you probably already know about Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s love/hate relationship; one day they are best buds, and the next they are ready to rip each other’s heads off.

Adam joked about his relationship with Blake, during a recent appearance on Chelsea Handler’s talk show Chelsea Lately. Adam started off his conversation with Handler by complimenting her outspokenness. He praised her for speaking her mind, and admitted that he doesn’t have the courage to be that honest.

Handler then got straight to the point, focusing in on Levine and Shelton. “You’re in love with Blake Shelton. You’re not scared to admit that.” Handler jokingly said. “You guys have been dating for what, two and a half years now? That’s beautiful.”

Levine played along and revealed that things were not going so well in the romantic areas. “We’re having some sexual problems, though,” he joked. “Is that on your end more?” Handler asked. “Well, he drinks a lot so he probably can’t . . . ” Adam finished her sentence by saying, “He drinks a lot so . . . It’s a problem,” he said, teasing that Shelton has problems “performing”. “But it’s fine. He’s okay. We’ll be all right. We’ll figure it out somehow,” he added.

Handler then compared Levine and Shelton’s relationship to his relationship with his wife Miranda Lambert. “I’ve talked to Miranda about it too,” Handler said. “She has the same issues as you do because he’s drunk all the time.” “That’s why we get along, Miranda and I, so well,” Levine explained, “because we have so much to talk about between the two of our relationships.”

Of course, Adam had to make it known that he is the best coach on The Voice. “I think I’m way better than Blake. That goes without saying,” he said. “All jokes aside, he is a really good coach. We all are good coaches.”

  • Miranda Lambert: New Album Release Date Set

Miranda Lambert announced that the release date for her new album Platinum has been set–and it features a duet with Carrie Underwood. June 3rd is the day fans can get their hands on Platinum–and they’ll no doubt be marking that date on their calendars. It’s been a whole two years and eight months since her last album release. Lambert, who is also part of the all girl country band the Pistol Annies extended her tour with the group in 2013, and she released an album with the trio last year, too. This meant she needed a bit more time to perfect her solo efforts.

“From the day you kinda go I need to start looking for songs and writing songs, it feels like no matter how much time you have, you’re rushed,” Lambert said during a recent interview. “And so I didn’t want to rush it at all. To me it’s all about timing and making sure that you can feel like you can finally sit there and go, OK, the album’s done, and never have a moment where you go, I wish we could change that or I wish we had a different song.”

Sources say this is Lambert’s “most ambitious effort yet.” Platinum will feature 16 songs–which is a lot for one album. Producers actually urged her to cut back on the number of tracks, but she bucked convention. A new single released from the upcoming album, called Automatic, soared to the top of the country charts following its release just three weeks ago.

Miranda’s collaboration with Carrie Underwood is called Something Bad, but it’s no doubt going to result in something very, very good for both singers. The two just happen to be at the top of the list of everyone’s favorite female country music stars.

“We’re really rocking in country music and we’re coming together as a force,” Lambert said of the collaboration. “To me, like, if you’re sitting on the front row, you might want to scoot back. It’s a force. It just feels exciting to me. I’m ready to rock.”

Miranda was excited to share the release date and the cover of Platinum with her Twitter fans.

Blake Shelton is no doubt very proud of his wife, and manages to reference her on The Voice every time an opportunity presents itself. Platinum may just go platinum, and that will give Miranda Lambert and her hubby something very big to celebrate together.

  • Blake Shelton Scores R&B Artist for His Team on ‘The Voice’

Blake Shelton scored an R&B artist for The Voice’s Team Blake on Monday night during the live auditions–and he stole her away from his good friend–but Voice rival–Adam Levine, too. Sisaundra Lewis is 44 years old and she’s no novice to the music industry. A former back-up singer for Celine Dion (who appeared via cameo video to wish Sisaundra good luck), Lewis sang big and bold, the way her song–Aretha Franklin’s Ain’t No Way–demands.

Sisaundra’s rich sustained notes and soaring falsetto stunned all of the judges. Shakira said her voice was “ravishing.”

Adam Levine really wanted Lewis on his team and, of course, the teasing between the two coaches ensued. Ultimately Blake Shelton won out, leaving Adam to faux begrudge the country singer.

The Voice tweeted their own message regarding Sisaundra on Monday’s show.

Shortly thereafter they sent another tweet about Blake’s big score.

On the Kathie Lee Gifford and Hota Kotb’s hour of The TODAY Show Tuesday, Hoda made mention of Sisaundra to Jenna Bush Hager (who was filling in for Kathie Lee). She told Hager that with Blake’s R&B score, along with the handful of other singers he has acquired thus far, he would win this season’s competition of The Voice.

So you see, there’s now no way Blake Shelton can lose–like his did last season. He known has the rich, powerful vocals Sisaundra Lewis brings to his team–and Hoda Kotb says he’s sure to win.

If you missed Sisaundra’s performance on The Voice on Monday night, you must check it out–right now.

Oh yes, Blake Shelton has scored a major contestant withh Sisaundra Lewis. It will be fun to see how she–and Blake–fare this season.

  • Blake Shelton Lands R&B Star on ‘The Voice’

It is on! The blind auditions of The Voice are getting really competitive and the coaches will do and say anything to get a performer on their team.

Three-time winner Blake Shelton scored big time on Monday when he stole R&B artist Sisaundra Lewis away from rival Adam Levine.

After the Maroon 5 front man snagged country rock talent, Patrick Thompson, who seemed likely to pick the Country Music Award-winner as his mentor, Shelton retaliated by convincing the former Celine Dion backup singer and vocal director to join his team.

It didn’t take long for all four stars to figure out that Lewis had what it took to win the show as she performed her rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way”.

Dion appeared in a cameo appearance on the show wishing 44-year-old Lewis, 44 good luck.

Blake said of the mother of three, “I would buy your record if it came out tomorrow.” and her performance was dubbed “ravishing” by Shakira.

Blake Shelton also signed on Ryan Whyte Maloney. Maloney told the coaches his son wanted him to choose Team Blake, and so he did, leading Shelton to celebrate with an awkward moonwalk.

Clarissa Serna — who preformed The Cranberries’ Zombie — was lured to Shakira’s team by her excitement, even though she could choose from any of the four coaches as they all turned around during her performance. Shakira also added to her team by being the only coach to turn around for 23-year-old college dropout De’Shawn Washington.

Adam — who always seem to have the best quips — won Patrick Thomson over Blake after convincing him that Blake’s “going to make you gargle with broken glass!”

Usher and Shakira turned around for Melissa Jimenez who sang If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys. Blake joked around, saying he also tried to turn around but “Usher’s jaw was on the floor and it got in the way.”

  • Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton Buy House in Nashville

Country-music superstar Miranda Lambert recently told Taste of Country that she and husband Blake Shelton have purchased a home in Nashville, TN.

Lambert says the two still consider their sprawling ranch near Tishomingo, OK their full-time home, but it made sense to own a residence in Nashville, too.

“We just bought a house here in Nashville, outside of town,” she said. “We had a condo for awhile, but we wanted to like, kinda put roots down, because we’re always going to be in Nashville.”

The timing coincides with a huge nod from Nashville to Lambert. From May 16th through November 9th, the star will be honored with a front and center exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

“… I’m so honored to have an exhibit in this treasured hall,” Lambert said.

“Miranda Lambert is one of contemporary music’s most popular and acclaimed artists, and for good reason,” said Museum Director Kyle Young. “She’s a dynamic performer; an emotive and powerful vocalist whose voice is equally at home with lyrics tough or tender; and a songwriter with a deft touch for feeling and place.”

Lambert and Shelton have been spending a lot of time on the West Coast lately thanks to Shelton’s gig as a coach and judge on The Voice. Shelton has been with the show since its inception in 2011. The sixth season premiered February 24.

Shelton says he goes home to Oklahoma, the state where he was born and raised, as often as possible:

“As soon as we’re done on Wednesdays, my a–– is on the plane … I get in my truck, I see the fields, see the cows.”

He describes the couple’s time in Oklahoma as low-key: “Throwing a cooler in the back of the pickup and driving around the property clearing brush and singing to the radio,” says Shelton. “Or else having dinner at the all-you-can-eat rib buffet and dessert at Dairy Queen. When we get home, we like to be home.”

Lambert admits to enjoying the warm weather in L.A.

“When we leave Oklahoma, we’re leaving 20 degree weather and it’s snowing and sleeting, and we get to L.A. and it’s sunny and 75, and I’m just like … ‘Oh, thank goodness.’”

  • Miranda Lambert Gets Exhibit at Country Hall of Fame

Miranda Lambert has her own exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum–or at least she will starting in May. It was just announced that the singer and wife of The Voice’s Blake Shelton will be featured front and center in the museum. Her exhibit, called “Miranda Lambert: Backstage Access,” will run from May 16th to November 9th and is expected to draw droves of fans.

“The Country Music Hall of Fame is a place to cherish what country music is all about,” Miranda said following the official announcement. “And I’m so honored to have an exhibit in this treasured hall.”

“Miranda Lambert is one of contemporary music’s most popular and acclaimed artists, and for good reason,” said Museum Director Kyle Young. “She’s a dynamic performer; an emotive and powerful vocalist whose voice is equally at home with lyrics tough or tender; and a songwriter with a deft touch for feeling and place.

“Her numerous hits, from empowering anthems like ‘Gunpowder and Lead’ to introspective set pieces like ‘The House That Built Me,’ are rich contributions to country music’s storytelling tradition,” he continued. “We are looking forward to taking our visitors behind the scenes with Miranda during her amazing successes in 2013.”

Miranda Lambert is the reigning four-time CMA and reigning four-time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year. Her most recent album, Four The Record, debuted atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making her the first country artist in the 47-year history of the chart to have each of her first four albums debut in that number one position. Mama’s Broken Heart is just one hit single from that album. You can see her perform it in the music video above. Lambert recently released her new single Automatic, which is the lead track from her upcoming fifth studio album.

Blake Shelton must be incredibly proud of his wife–in general, of course, and now even more so for her upcoming exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

  • Cassadee Pope: The Voice Winner in New Faces Show

Cassadee Pope played in the New Faces Show as part of Country Radio Seminar Week in Nashville on Friday night. It wasn’t so long ago that the season 3 winner of The Voice was watching from the audience and wishing she would one day be up on the stage.

“I was sitting next to Scott Borchetta and telling him I wanted to be up there someday.” Pope recalls. “He turned to me and said ‘Just wait. You’ll be up there next year.’ I kind of giggled and just figured that wouldn’t be enough time to get out there and get everyone’s support, but after a year of touring with Rascal Flatts, and visiting radio, it came true.”

“It’s an honor to know they voted for me, and want me to be there. So, I’m going to deliver the best I can,” she added.

Cassadee Pope’s first single Wasting All My Tears was a huge hit, and it helped her cross over to the Top 40 on the Hot 100 as well.

“There’s no way I could have imagined all of this,” she said. “I knew I was going to be releasing my single, but I had no idea the amount of attention it would get or that radio would be so supportive. A lot of that has to do with me getting out there, and visiting the stations on the road.”

Pope knows that her relationship with the radio world is indeed a 2-way street.

“It’s really important because country radio invests so much of their time. It’s an emotional thing. It binds you together with people at radio. That’s what I love so much about this format – the emotion. It’s not a robotic process or procedure. You become attached to each other. In order to create that relationship, you have to go out there and meet everybody and prove to them that it’s a team effort. It’s not just them giving you a career. It goes both ways. It puts the emotion into the music, and that’s a great thing.”

Cassadee clearly had a blast during her time at the New Faces Show. Check out the Instagram photo she shared, captioned “Me & these silly men. Such great company at New Faces!”

Cassadee Pope’s coach on The Voice, Blake Shelton, must be so incredibly proud of the success she has achieved. He knew she was talented and he nurtured that talent for all it was worth while coaching her during her time on the show. Her God-given talent, along with Shelton’s help, has brought her to where she is now. And she’s only started to make her climb to the top.

Sandra Bullock Chokes Up, Lauds Jay Leno

Sandra Bullock choked back tears as she thanked Jay Leno for years of kindness. The Gravity star told Jay how much she appreciated the fact that he treated her well every time she was a guest on the Tonight Show. Her words and voice were wrought with emotion as she sat across from the Tonight Show host during his next to last show–with Leno holding her hand.

“You’ve always been so kind. That’s saying a lot in this business, because we like to be mean,” she told him. “There’s not been one time you haven’t treated me like I had something to offer – even when the film was awful and you knew it, you never let me see it in your eyes.”

“When I made crazy life decisions, you never questioned it. You were so welcoming. I just felt special, even when I was insecure,” she added.

“Well, you are special,” Leno said as he kissed Sandra’s hand.

It was a poignant moment for viewers as they witnessed Jay’s soft side and realized the end of an era will soon arrive.

Blake Shelton joined Jay Leno and Sandra Bullock a bit later in the show, and he thanked Jay for his fairness and his ability to keep his own beliefs quiet while others expressed theirs.

“Everybody gets ripped on,” Shelton said.

Shelton then gifted a month’s worth of denim clothing to the Tonight Show host.

Thursday night at 11:35 PM ET Jay Leno will take the stage as host of The Tonight Show for the last time. His guests will include Billy Crystal–his first ever Tonight Show guest–and Garth Brooks. It is rumored that a few surprise guests will be stopping by to bid adieu to the late night host as he passes the reigns to Jimmy Fallon. It’s uncertain if any of his remaining guests will evoke the sense of sweetness and goodness of Sandra Bullock’s tribute to Jay.
