  • Duggar Family Celebrates Mom Michelle’s 49th Birthday [Videos]

    This year has been tough for the Duggar family but despite all the controversies, the whole gang of 19 Kids and Counting united to celebrate their mother’s birthday on Sunday, September 13.

    Michelle Duggar celebrated her 49th birthday with a series of videos of her children wishing her a happy birthday. The videos were compiled in the official website of the Duggar family.

    Soon-to-be-mom, Jessa Duggar Seewald, in one video said: “As Ben and I are looking forward to being parents in the next couple months I just think that there are are so many things that I learned from you that I’m really looking forward to implementing in my own home.”

    Jessa named patience and her mom’s faith as the traits she likes about her mom. She said Michelle is very patient with the kids and very calm when she deals with them. At times of trouble, Jessa said her mother directed them to Jesus.

    Joy-anna joined her sister Jana in another video and thanked their mother for being their role model. Jana, 25, hoped to be like her mom in the future and called Michelle her “hero.”

    Michelle’s 19-year-old son Josiah thanked his mom for believing in him. The teener said: “I really do look up to you, and I can’t imagine having a different mom.”

    The Dillard family- Jill, Derick and 5-month-old Israel- also greeted Michelle on her birthday. Derick told Michelle via video that he was “so blessed to have the best mother-in-law in the world.”

    The Duggar patriarch, Jim Bob, had also shared his message for his wife of 31 years. In his video he called Michelle a “godly mother” a “wonderful wife” and a “virtuous woman.”

    Eldest son Josh Duggar was absent as he is now seeking treatment at the Reformers Unanimous Center in Rockford, Ill.

    Yes, Twitter has not had an option for listing birthdays until now. But hey, better late than never, right?

    “To add your birth date to your Twitter profile, choose the “Edit profile” option on Twitter.com. Your birth date is a completely optional part of your profile and you have full control over who can see it. The visibility setting for your birth year is separate from the setting for your birth month and day, giving you the flexibility to share as much (or as little) as you want,” says Twitter.

    We’ve become used to it over the years on Facebook, but now you must prepare yourselves for birthday messages on Twitter. Yes, people who would no idea when your birthday is otherwise are about to care.

    Twitter is also birthday-ifying your profile on your special day with a bunch of floating balloons:

  • Kendra Wilkinson Birthday Karaoke With Hank Baskett, Michael Strahan, and Urkel [Pics]

    Kendra Wilkinson is flying high. With a popular reality TV show gig on Marriage Boot Camp, a weekend of trending news on her name, and a newly-revitalized relationship with her husband, the former Playboy Bunny is doing well.

    Kendra caught lots of attention this week, but only some of it was due to episodes of Marriage Boot Camp. Folks who read news rather than just watching TV know that Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett are doing great now. The reality TV crowd will catch up soon enough.

    Kendra’s biggest story this week is due to Holly Madison’s new book called Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny. It details the time Kendra, Holly, and Bridget Marquardt spent in the Playboy Mansion as Hugh Hefner’s three girlfriends.

    Holly Madison was pretty brutal about Kendra, calling her “the fakest person I’ve ever met.”

    According to Madison, the last exchange between her and Kendra was not pretty.

    Madison wrote, “Kendra had apparently given an interview to a tabloid explaining that she wasn’t friends with either [myself or Bridget Marquardt] as if she were somehow better than everyone else… Of course I wasn’t going to stoop to her level and address this only on social media, so I decided to text her how I truly felt: that she was a coward and that she tried to act like the ‘real’ girl on TV, but she’s the fakest person I’ve ever met — and that if she had a problem with me, she should have confronted me like an adult instead of just going silent.”

    Madison says Kendra Wilkinson responded with:

    “WHO ARE YOU???? I DON’T EVEN KNOW YOU! WE WERE NEVER FRIENDS. IT WAS ALL JUST WORK.”

    “After that, I deleted her number from my phone,” Madison says. “Kendra and I haven’t spoken since, and I have to say, I don’t miss her.”

    But Kendra seems to be taking Madison’s comments in stride. She celebrated her 30th birthday recently, and she is proud of what shape she and her life are in.

    On her birthday, Kendra posted to Instagram, saying:

    “I’m never looking back and I’m going to enter the next 10 years with my head up high, forgiveness in my heart and domination in my eyes. LOL….Goodbye 20s and HELLO 30s!!!!!! My 20s were just a warm up…”

    She could be referring to Hank Baskett’s infidelity with that post. Or she could be thinking about Madison’s new book. Or both.

    For her birthday, Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett did some karaoke. Lots of people do that on their birthday. But Kendra Wilkinson brought some VIP company to the club.

    Check that list out. It includes Michael Strahan and Jaleel White — that’s Urkel from TV’s Family Matters.

    But Hank Baskett did not tag everyone in attendance. Jay Galvin had a longer list of those who joined Kendra Wilkinson for karaoke.

  • Howard Stern Gets Robert Downey to Dish on Birthday Bash

    Howard Stern got Robert Downey, Jr. to open up about his own 50th birthday bash, which was a star-studded celeb event.

    Downey told Howard Stern that he had purposely set the event up in such a way that celebs would be comfortable.

    “I asked that no one bring cell phones,” Downey told Howard Stern. “We had no cameras. People said that they were able to enjoy themselves like they hadn’t in years because they weren’t worried about someone getting a picture of them dancing.”

    As a result of this freedom to be themselves, he says that stars were much more relaxed.

    “Reese Witherspoon, she and my agent, who is her husband were there, and she danced all night.”

    Two bands played Downey’s birthday, Steely Dan and Duran Duran. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged some Celebs Gone Wild behavior.

    “Duran Duran knocked it out of the park. They opened with ‘View To a Kill,’” Downey told Stern. “At one point, I won’t mention who, someone’s wife took off their bra and threw it on stage during Duran Duran.”

    Downey told Howard Stern that he was particularly jazzed about Steely Dan. He even got up and sang with them. But he forgot the words!

    “I’ve gone to their concerts at the Beacon, just sitting there crying during the songs. I was out of my body. It was a horrible band/fan moment. They had seen me perform it on the Wayne Brady Show seven years ago and thought I had been practicing it ever since.”

    Downey explained that he did not push to get on stage with Steely Dan. It was not his idea.

    Howard Stern asked, “Was Steely Dan annoyed by you getting up there with them?”

    “No, they asked me. I’m also somebody that, if I see a great band or performance, I just want to enjoy it. I’m happy to come on this show (The Howard Stern Show), and I said I would and I’ll do it, and right now I’m cozy, but I would be so happy just to listen to the show forever and never be a guest.”

    Other guest A-listers enriched the evening.

    “Dustin Hoffman was there, that made my night.

    “At one point I was on the floor dancing and I looked over and Edward Norton and Jason Bateman were on the side clowning me, whispering to each other about what a complete douchbag I looked like jumping up and down.”

    Barbara Bush Celebrates 89th Birthday

    Former First Lady Barbara Bush celebrated her 89th birthday yesterday surrounded by her closest family and friends.

    According to the Bush’s spokesperson, Barbara held a low-key dinner at her summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine on Sunday.

    Barbara served as the First Lady from 1989 to 1993, alongside her husband, former president George H.W. Bush. Barbara and George are the parents to two sons, former president George W. Bush and governor Jeb Bush.

    Barbara is not the only one celebrating a birthday this week. On Thursday, George will celebrate his 90th birthday in a similar fashion as his wife. The family will have a intimate dinner in their summer home with their family, according to the spokesperson.

    Five years ago, on his 85th birthday, George went skydiving and vowed that he would do it again on his 90th birthday. However, it looks like he will have to pass on the adventure. George is currently not in good health and is having to use a wheelchair to get around, so it would be hard for him to manage jumping out of a plane.

    Barbara’s health seems to be ailing too. In January 2014, Barbara had to be hospitalized at the Methodist Hospital in Houston for a respiratory-related issue. It was later confirmed that Barbara was suffering from a bout of pneumonia.

    “She is in great spirits, has already received visits from her husband and family, and is receiving fantastic care,” a statement from the Bush’s spokesperson Jim McGrath said at the time.

  • Courteney Cox To Marry On Her 50th Birthday

    Former Friends star Courtney Cox may be close to getting married again.

    According to a source close to Cox, she is planning on throwing a huge birthday bash for her 50th birthday, and there is speculation that she may be marrying her Irish rocker boyfriend Johnny McDaid during the event.

    The couple was first linked together last year when Cox’s good friend Ed Sheeran set them up on a date. Cox and McDaid then went public with their relationship earlier this year, and in April they decided to take the next step and McDaid moved into Cox’s home in Malibu, California.

    Cox has dropped hint after hint that her party in June will include a huge surprise and the source seems to believe that the surprise is her wedding. “She’s throwing a big party at home in LA and it looks like it’ll be more than a birthday bash,” the source explained. “She’s asked guests to wear white and dress smart — and has let slip that there’s going to be a BIG surprise.”

    Cox has a nine-year-old daughter Coco with her ex-husband David Arquette, and the source revealed that she would be a bridesmaid in Cox’s wedding. “Coco’s going to be a bridesmaid and David has been asked to make a speech. They want to put on a united front and show that everyone’s happy,” the source continued.

  • Casey Kasem Fans Hold Birthday Vigil For Ailing Star

    Casey Kasem is everywhere. You may not know it yet, but you have heard his voice. Whether it was on the radio or as the voice of the original Shaggy; his voice has had an enormous impact on the nation. That’s why fans are celebrating the star’s 82nd birthday in any way they can.

    For those who follow all things Kasem, you will know that the star is not in the best of health as of late. His illness has no doubt made this latest birthday an unpleasant and fans wanting to wish him well can only do so from afar. They took to Twitter and Facebook to wish him well today, but those wanting to get a little closer can do so Sunday night at the hospital he’s staying at.

    Fans have thrown together what they’re calling a birthday vigil at the convalescent home where Kasem is currently held up at. The group plans to meet at the Berkley East Convalescent Hospital at 6 p.m. Sunday night. The vigil will last for an hour as fans show their support for the legendary star.

    Those who are unable to attend the vigil have left many positive messages on social media in celebration of Kasem’s life and career:

    Despite all the love pouring out from the fans, Kasem’s family is still in tatters. Last year, Kasem’s current wife was preventing his children and ex-wife from seeing him despite his condition getting worse. Accusations of mistreatment were thrown out by a judge and a settlement was reached that allowed his children to visit in some capacity. While his family is no doubt with him tonight, they would undoubtedly be touched if a lot of fans were to show up at the birthday vigil.

  • Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake Celebrate Her Birthday in Barbados

    Jessica Biel was in Barbados for her 32nd birthday celebration, thanks to hubby Justin Timberlake. The two enjoyed some fun in the sun that included a $1,125 per day catamaran for both wake boarding and sun bathing.

    Jessica and Justin actually kicked off her birthday celebration in Miami at The Forge restaurant before heading to Barbados.

    “The two came in through the main door of the restaurant [around 9 p.m.], and they went directly downstairs to the wine cellar, which is private,” a source said. They were accompanied by Justin Timberlake’s parents.

    “They looked happy and comfortable.” Biel was served an Italian wedding cake, the source added, “because it’s [her] favorite.”

    Justin sang a few bars of “Happy Birthday” to his beautiful wife of 17 months, according to the same source.

    Jessica Biel’s birthday celebration was sort of like the calm before the storm. The actress is in the middle of opening what is dubbed a “family friendly” restaurant in Santa Monica. Called Au Fudge, the place is deemed the type of restaurant where Hollywood celebrities will feel comfortable bringing their kids. Parents and their children will also be able to take part in creating some of the food they eat–making for a very special and unique experience for families.

    Little Mary Camden of 7th Heaven fame has certainly come a long way in the past few years. She’s gone from starring in a Christian family series on TV to being a big time film star and marrying Justin Timberlake to top it all off.

    Fats Domino Celebrates 86 Years Of Life

    It must be difficult to sing “Happy Birthday” to a living legend like Fats Domino, but friends, family, and fans alike had to do just that on Wednesday.

    Domino celebrated his 86th birthday in the midst of Carnival season in New Orleans.

    Not only did Domino celebrate his 86th birthday this year, he will also be the honorary grand marshal of the upcoming Krewe of Orpheus parade. Because he won’t be able to ride the float, his son, Antoine Domino III, will ride in his place on the float on March 3 on Lundi Gras. The float will feature a piano and speakers that will play many of Domino’s famous songs including “Blue Monday,” ”Blueberry Hill,” ”The Fat Man,” and “Walking to New Orleans.”

    The Krewe of Orpheus is the “star-studded Carnival club that traditionally parades the night before Mardi Gras.”

    Born in New Orleans on February 26, 1928, as Antoine Domino, Jr., “Fats” grabbed national attention with his single “The Fat Man” in 1950. After selling one million copies of the song by 1953, Domino then released the song “Ain’t That A Shame” in 1955.

    Domino’s biggest hit came in 1956 with “Blueberry Hill.” It reached No. 2 on the Top 40 charts and No. 1 on the R&B charts, where it stayed for 11 weeks. Domino’s version of the song sold 5 million copies from 1956 – 1957 worldwide.

    In 1986 Domino was a member of the inaugural class of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

    Kelly Rowland turned 33 on February 11, and celebrated in style with BFF Beyoncé, Solange Knowles, and various other friends.

    Pictures on Instagram and Tumblr show the clan having what appears to be a great time, laughing and goofing-off.

    Another picture shows the former Destiny’s Child singer blowing out her candles…which sat atop an all-gold cake!

    The stunning confection shows an elephant on top of a rounded cake, with Rowland planting a kiss on top.

    The singer tweeted her thanks to fans and followers on Twitter and Instagram the afternoon after her birthday.

    The day after celebrating in New York, Rowland attended shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, sporting a new bob, black dress, fur jacket, and some risqué thigh-high black boots.

    Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox reunited, on Tuesday, to celebrate Aniston’s 45th birthday.

    According to E! News, Aniston and Cox met up at Soho House in Los Angeles, and were joined by Jennifer Meyer, Tobey Maguire’s wife, Aniston’s agent Todd Shemarya, and Chris McMillan, Aniston’s hairstylist.

    While Aniston was surrounded by her close friends, people could not help but notice that her fiancé Justin Theroux, whom she got engaged to in August 2012, was missing. Apparently, Theroux had to stay behind, in New York, to work on filming his new HBO show The Leftovers.

    It was reported that he was having a guys night out with Orlando Bloom, at Deth Killers of Bushwick store in downtown Manhattan, while Aniston celebrated her birthday with an intimate dinner, surrounded by friends. Theroux and Bloom later were spotted at Jones Café in Soho, hanging out with a group of guys.

    “Justin was upbeat and laughing in the shop with Orlando as he tried on different hats, which he ended up wearing out at the end of the night,” a rep Deth Killers of Bushwick said. “[He] smiled for pictures, and was friendly to staff in the shop. Took selfies with partygoers alongside Orlando.”

    Adios teenage years, Harry Styles is now 20-years-old.

    On Saturday, February 1st, One Direction’s Harry Styles entered his 20s. So how does a young boybander celebrate such an occasion? With his celebrity girlfriend, family and friends, of course!

    Styles’ rumored girlfriend, Kendall Jenner, has gone out of her way to make Harry’s 20th birthday bash a memorable one.

    One insider told The Daily Star, “Kendall wanted the party to be in London so that Harry’s friends and family could all be there. The rest of One Direction and a whole host of other celebs will be on the guest list. It won’t be a tame affair, and Kendall will pull out all the stops to make sure it’s a night to remember.”

    And though the party may stop there for family and friends, it will continue for Styles and Jenner.

    “Kendall’s dad has a beautiful cliff-top holiday home in Big Sur, California, and she has asked if she and Harry can use the mansion for a private break together. She wants them to have some time alone where they can relax and enjoy each other’s company. Harry already has everything he wants, so she decided to organise something special they can always remember,” added the insider.

    After such a birthday celebration, what on earth will Jenner do for Valentine’s Day?

    Styles took to his Twitter to let everyone know what he was doing on this special day and how turning 20 made him feel.

    The birthday boy also thanked those who donated to the Believe in Magic charity for his birthday.

    Many fans took to Twitter to wish Styles a Happy Birthday.

    Even Styles’ mom and sister got in on the action of wishing him a “Happy Birthday” on Twitter.

    Her tweet continues, “…incredibly proud each & every day. Happy Birthday @Harry_Styles.”

    Even though Jenner is going above and beyond for Styles’ birthday, is she the next Yoko Ono? One “source” may want you to think that Jenner is causing a rift between Harry and the other One Direction guys.

    A source told OK! magazine, “Kendall’s a sweet girl, but they [the One Direction boys] see her as a bigger threat than Taylor Swift ever was. Kendall seems to have cast a spell over Harry, and it’s disrupting other areas of his life because he’s always wanting to spend time with her or chat with her on the phone when they’re apart. It’s causing a lot of unrest.”

    The source adds that Jenner may already be causing problems between Styles and his fellow bandmate Niall Horan. Said the source, “[Harry] seems to be losing interest in the band. The other day, Harry and Niall almost [fought] when Niall confronted Harry when he showed up to a meeting.”

  • Mariska Hargitay Turns 50 and Embraces It

    Sometimes, it’s hard to understand why so many people become sad on their birthdays, as if becoming one year older is such a terrible thing. I mean, consider the alternative, which is not making it to see your next birthday.

    Which is why it’s refreshing to see people embrace their age and celebrate getting older, like Mariska Hargitay, who turned 50 this week.

    “The Law & Order: SVU” actress isn’t hiding the fact that she turned the big 5-0 and she took to her Instagram page to let everyone know how excited she is about it.

    One photo shows Hargitay sporting a cool looking t-shirt that says “Fifty’s Nifty,” and she wrote the words “Bring it” along with the posted photo, which suggests she’s not only celebrating a milestone, she wants people to how many years it took to get there.

    Then there were the balloons and the flowers given to her by her friends, family members and colleagues. One photo shows a completely redecorated dressing room, all decked out in red, with balloons everywhere. Another photo shows gold and black balloons covering the ceiling of what looks to be a restaurant or lounge, and based on Hargitay’s message, the decorations and party came as a complete shock to her, as she wrote: “Then I came downstairs,” which shows she was totally caught off guard by it all.

    And the surprises kept coming. The lovely actress also shared a photo of flowers being brought to her, which came from some of her “Law & Order: SVU” crew members. “Then I got to work,” she wrote. “From the awesome camera dept! Love you guys.”

    Based on the photos, her previous interviews and her overall public person, it’s easy to tell that Hargitay has a very positive attitude about life, which is also evident from the personal description she uses on her Instagram page. “Joyful heartin, laugh lovin, perp bustin, ocean worshippin, green drinkin, baby lovin mama.”

    Now if only some of us can adopt some of that positive attitude as well. Especially as we get older.

  • Nina Dobrev Celebrates 25th Birthday

    While many people may have a quarter-life crisis when they turn 25, Nina Dobrev celebrated with an award win and some of her famous friends.

    The star of The Vampire Diaries turned 25 on Wednesday, January 9, just a day after she won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite On-Screen Chemistry with co-star and on-again, off-again boyfriend Ian Somerhalder.

    Not long after the awards show was over, the actress rang in her birthday at midnight with Somerhalder, friend Julianne Hough, as well as The Vampire Diaries writer Kevin Williamson.

    Dobrev has already received many “Happy Birthday” wishes from celebrity friends and fans alike.

    Somerhalder and Dobrev didn’t simply accept their award for Best On-Screen Chemistry. The pair came prepared, joking about their breakup during their acceptance speech.

    After discussing the relationship between their characters over the span of five years, Somerhalder brought up the elephant in the room – the couple’s relationship (or lack thereof) status. The two started dating in real life, only to finally call it quits after three years of dating in May 2013.

    “Then we broke up in real life,” said Dobrev.

    “And yet our characters are still dating on the show,” said Somerhalder.

    “It’s a good thing it’s not awkward,” added Dobrev with a nervous laugh.

    And here I thought the only person I needed to wish a “Happy Birthday” to today was going to be my best friend (Shout out Heather!), but it seems I need to send one to The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards.

    The famed rocker turned 70 Wednesday, and many didn’t think he would make it this far thanks to his life of excess – drugs, alcohol and his love of cigarettes. He himself has even said, “I was number 1 on the who’s likely to die list for 10 years … I was really disappointed when I fell off that list.”

    But aging isn’t something that seems to bother Richards, “We age not by holding on to youth, but by letting ourselves grow and embracing whatever youthful parts remain.”

    December 18 isn’t just special to Richards because it’s his birthday, it also happens to be his 30th wedding anniversary. On this date in 1983 Richards married Patti Hansen. Richards and the former model have two daughters together. Richards also has three children from a former relationship with Italian actress Anita Pallenberg.

    Many have already taken to Twitter to wish Richards a “Happy Birthday.”

    Richards will soon be embarking on the “14 on Fire” tour with his Rolling Stones bandmates – Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood. The tour will also include Mick Taylor as a special guest. Taylor played with The Rolling Stones from 1969 to 1974. The tour begins in Abu Dhabi on February 21.

    It seems Richards will never give up rock and roll, and fans couldn’t be happier about it. In Richards’ 2010 autobiography Life he said, “People say ‘why don’t you give it up?’ I don’t think they quite understand. I’m not doing it just for the money, or for you. I’m doing it for me.”

    Today kicked off the special Pet Adoption Week on the popular game show The Price is Right. In celebration of Bob Barker’s 90th birthday, each episode airing this week will be paying tribute to Barker’s birthday by doing pet adoptions leading up to the birthday celebration on December 12.

    Barker has always been known for his love of animals and always signed off the show saying: “Bob Barker reminding you: Help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered.” “Monday through Friday we’re going to be doing pet adoptions, which is something Bob did on the show for years,” said the executive producer, Mike Richards. “Barker has always had a love for animals and closed the show each day saying: ‘Bob Barker reminding you: Help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered.'”

    It was announced in October that the game show icon would be making his appearance on the show that he hosted for 35 years. In 2007, Barker stepped down as the host and gave the title to comedian, Drew Carrey. “We’ve had Bob on just one other time since Drew Carey took over the show,” said Richards. “It was when Bob’s book, Priceless Memories, came out and it was a priceless moment for fans. I was looking for the perfect reason to bring Bob back again and this TV legend turning 90 is the perfect reason.”

    Who knew? December 4th is a big day for Hollywood. Academy Award winner Marissa Tomei turned 49 on Wednesday. And she’s in good company.

    Also blowing out birthday candles today are actors, rappers, comics and models. Talk show host and former Victoria Secret/Sports Illustrated model Tyra Banks is celebrating a milestone birthday. She is now 40. If you’re looking for the person who is probably throwing the biggest bash, search no further than rapper/producer/mogul/Nets owner Jay-Z, who is 44.

    Jay-Z and Beyonce have a very special goal in mind in honor of the “Empire State of Mind” singer’s birthday. He wrote on Tuesday on his Life + Times blog that the couple was going vegan. “On December 3rd, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!! This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a “plant-based breakfast” every day. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought. Why now? There’s something spiritual to me about it being my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day…It just feels right!”

    For all of you that participate in the “Elf on the Shelf” tradition…how many times have you forgotten to move that pesky elf before your kids woke up in the morning? For me, it’s a daily challenge to remember to help my elf get into mischief.

    Creator and author of the popular “Elf on the Shelf”, Carol V. Aebersold, gives parents a tip on how they can remember to help their elves get back to the North Pole and back before it is time for their kids to discover him again. It’s simple really, just use post it notes.

    “I tell parents to put a blank sticky note on the bathroom mirror every night so that they can remember to check whether their elf has flown back to the North Pole,” says Aebersold.

    Aebersold released a new book back in October called, “The Birthday Tradition”, which is where Santa will allow the child’s elf come back for one special day each year: their birthday.

    “What other more special family tradition is there than your own special holiday, your birthday,” says Aebersold. “We heard so many requests from kids saying ‘Can my elf come back?’ that we decided to talk to Santa, and he said, ‘This is how we celebrate birthdays at the North Pole, and kids might want to do it, too.” Aebersold says she has gotten a great response from the new book, with thousands of kids writing letters to Santa to have him send their elf back for their birthdays.

    “Elf on the Shelf” was more than just a creative idea Aebersold thought up. It was a tradition that her family started years ago, and once she had kids of her own, she decided to write a book to share their tradition.

    “It was a tradition we had in my family; you adopt your elf for a lifetime. So when I got married, he came with me and my children grew up with my elf. When they grew up they told me what a wonderful family tradition that was and said ‘Mom, we should write a book and share it with the world,'” she said.

    Everybody’s talking about and ogling Nicole Scherzinger ever since she stepped out in a body-hugging, skin-exposing black suit for a wild night out.

    The former Pussycat Doll and X Factor judge effortlessly grabbed the attention of all onlookers with her killer cat suit, which featured an elaborate and blinging brocade-like front and back. The main parts of the shining silver fabric of the suit were held together by a revealing net-like construction that ran along Scherzinger’s body.

    No peek-a-boo teases here! Nicole went full on with her outfit as well as her partying.

    Nicole wore the painted-on, eye-catching suit for the Sushi Samba’s birthday bash, which took place on Tuesday in London. The London party was the restaurant’s first celebration, and with much thanks to Nicole Scherzinger, the party was a big hit.

    The Mirror has it that Scherzinger was the life of the party. Apparently her skin-tight suit didn’t prevent Nicole from getting down on the dance floor with many of the party attendees and having a blast. The mirror also reports that Scherzinger enjoyed many shots and continued to jam in her sexy, pointed black heels. Well, in one of the photos we can see that she at least took one break from the heels and removed them. That’s ok. We can live with that.

    It is also being said that Nicole was doing a whole lot of flirting at the party which might make some people very sad that they were not cool enough to be invited. Back in August people were first gossiping about whether Nicole Scherzinger and her former boyfriend Lewis Hamilton were getting back together. To the delight of those who would be jealous of Hamilton, Scherzinger announced that they were just friends. At the Sushi Samba party, Scherzinger apparently made that very clear. She is a free woman.

    Usually there are complaints about a suit so sexy, but nobody’s complaining yet. So far people are enjoying the eye candy.

  • Robert Downey Jr.’s Wife Celebrates With Bacon

    Robert Downey, Jr., really loves his wife of 8 years, Susan Downey, and she really loves bacon! I like the way she thinks. Downey, Jr. threw her a huge bash to celebrate her 40th birthday. It was quite the affair that went on during a weekend getaway for the stars at Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito, California. That is north of San Francisco.

    White roses and purple lights jazzed up the ballroom at the lodge while guests dined and participated in family-friendly fun. There was dancing, games, and of course, the obligatory photo booth. The night was lit up later on by a spectacular fireworks display over the bay in honor of Susan.

    On Sunday morning the lucky guests were treated to brunch from Hapa SF and Bacon Bacon food trucks, which featured bacon, of course! the menu included pancakes, omelets, breakfast tacos, breakfast sandwiches, and burgers. But that’s not all the food that starred at the bash. Susan was surprised with a a chorus of “Happy Birthday” and a huge cake made with all sorts of bacon: maple bacon, chocolate bacon, bacon bits, bacon jam and vanilla cake.

    The party was family friendly, so there were lots of kids there. Exton, the Downeys’ 21-month-old son, was there to celebrate Mom’s birthday. The list of other guests at the over-the-top shindig was impressive and included Gwenyth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, along with all their children. Justin Theroux was there, along with Jason Bateman, Maya Rudolph, Jon Favreau, and Gavin Rossdale with Gwen Stefani.

    Throughout brunch, an insider told Us that a videographer was recording their various guests giving messages and tributes to Susan. Paltrow must have had something amazing to say. “Gwyneth Paltrow talked on camera and was laughing and animated as she recorded her message,” the source says.

    I’m sure it was a night to remember for Susan Downey, and scored her hubby some major points!

  • Nick Lachey Turns 40 And Says Goodbye to 30s

    Nick Lachey turned 40 yesterday and said goodbye to the 30s.

    The singer and new father took to Twitter to confirm the birthday festivities had begun. Earlier this week, Nick confirmed to People that his wife, Vanessa Lachey, had some big plans for him this weekend, “My wife is planning something. It’s all a big secret to me,” he said. “She’s taken the 40-year-old birthday baton and run with it and I’m sure it’s going to be an amazing night.”

    Vanessa will also be celebrating her birthday this weekend. Today is her 33rd birthday, and she also took to Twitter to confirm they had some big plans coming up.

    Nick said that’s one of the things he loves about his wife: her selflessness, giving up part of her birthday for him. “That’s her kind of a sacrifice to give up a little bit of her birthday because it’s such a milestone birthday to me,” he said. The couple married in July 2011 and have a one year old son, Camden John, who will be sharing in the birthday events.

    So how does Nick feel about turning the big 40? “I honestly don’t feel 40, he said. “I don’t know if it’s because I’m immature and I haven’t thought about it too much, but I don’t feel like I’m turning 40. I still feel like I’m 25 so as long as I continue to convince myself I’m not 40 I’m not getting worked up about it,” he continued. “My life is good and there’s a lot of exciting things going on right now to distract me from the fact that I’m turning 40.”
