  • Chrissy Teigen’s Rear End Gets Ogled At White House Correspondent’s Dinner [Photo]

Chrissy Teigen arrived at this year’s White House Correspondents Association dinner wearing a sheer, midnight blue Zuhair Murad gown that was covered in sequins and beads.

But what caught everyone’s, including Bill Belichick and Russel Wilson’s, attention was the thigh-high split that perfectly showcased Teigen’s long legs.

A photo posted on Belichick’s girlfriend Linda Holliday’s Instagram account shows Teigen flashing her gorgeous smile and legs – and New England Patriot’s head coach Bill Belichick’s eyes apparently on her rear end.

To be fair, Belichick wasn’t the only one who appears to be eyeing the statuesque beauty, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and NBA hopeful Frank Kaminsky also seem to be enjoying the view.

The photo has since captured the attention of netizens who have called the coach out. As did Teigen’s husband, crooner John Legend, who made his feelings about Belichick’s wandering eye known on Twitter.

The Grammy Award winner poked fun at Belichick by tweeting “Spy Gate” along with a link to the incriminating picture.

That incident aside, the Lip Sync Battle hostess appeared to enjoy her night at the gala. Accenting her eye-catching dress with a simple black clutch, a berry lipstick and bejeweled heels, Teigen was also photographed with Katie Couric and Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

The venerable news anchorwoman seemed to get along well with Teigen and jokingly tried to emulate the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model as she also flashed her legs.

Teigen also joined her husband for a series of photos with other guests like Walking Dead star Norman Reedus, editor and CBS co-anchor Gayle King and her daughter Kirby Bumpus.

The White House Correspondents Association dinner is a yearly dinner with the president and a crowd that’s a mix of politicians, journalists and influential celebrities and sports figures.

This year’s dinner was hosted by SNL’s Cecily Strong.

  • Bill Belichick Lays Down The Law: Patriots Players Must Make Most Of Opportunities

Bill Belichick is not a man to be trifled with.

The hard-nosed New England Patriots coach was not amused when running back Jonas Gray showed up late for practice on Friday.

Belichick has a long-standing rule about punctuality: If a player does not report to the facility on time, that player will not get to practice that day.

Even though Gray has since apologized to Bill Belichick and his teammates, his absence from training was heavily scrutinized.

His absence has only further fueled speculation as to what will become of the breakout New England running back. Though he had an outstanding performance against the Indianapolis Colts, a definite starting position doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

In a true Bill Belichick maneuver, rather than buy into media hype following the pivotal game, the coach moved to re-sign LeGarrette Blount.

Is Bill Belichick going to use Blount rather than Gray? Will Gray have a definite starting position with Blount as a backup?

Exactly what does Bill Belichick have planned for these players?

Bill Belichick remained vague when asked these questions, saying that Blount’s role in the team was pretty much “up to him”.

“What [Blount] can do with those opportunities will determine how many more there are,” said Belichick. “It’s totally up to him. He knows that. We’ve talked about that.”

He added that LeGarrette is “excited” about the opportunity to make a big impression.

His making the most of opportunities may not have just been about the resigned running back, but a subtle answer to the Gray situation was well.

One can’t argue against the huge impression he made versus the Colts. But with Bill Belichick, opportunity doesn’t begin and end with NFL games; practices count as well.

It’s doubtful the talent has been written off, and he will likely feature again.

But it’s never a good idea to presume anything with Bill Belichick of all people.

  • NFL Goal Posts To Be Raised, And Other Changes To The NFL

It has been a debated issue for some time, and after a growing consensus between NFL teams, the league has decided to raise the NFL goal posts. Many teams feel that extra points have become automatic, and something should be done in order to make them more difficult.

Following a meeting between the owners of the NFL, it was decided that the NFL goal posts would be raised 5 feet starting in the 2014 season. In relation to the extra point, it was also proposed that the kicks should be attempted from the 25-yard line, although it did not pass.

Several rule changes were discussed at the meeting of the NFL’s owners, and when it came time to vote, a handful of rules passed, while a few did not, and four more were tabled for a later time.

The unsportsmanlike conduct was a hot topic as well, which has caused a lot of problems in recent years with taunting especially. The NFL has been jokingly referred to as the “No Fun League” in recent years due to all of the rule changes that prevent players from celebrations, and are called for all sorts of penalties, and new rules may attempt to lower the number of penalties.

One of the ways some players choose to celebrate, which some may also view as a form of taunting, is simply by dunking the ball over the goal post. This act was also banned, and came off as a huge surprise to both fans and players.

It also seemed like a jab at Jimmy Graham, who was responsible for delaying a game last season in order for the goal posts to be leveled after dunking. St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher was one of the ones in favor of the rule, and said “Last year, we had an incident in one of the games where there was a dunk and the goalpost was tilted. The game was shutdown for about 25 minutes until they could get the goalpost corrected. That’s unnecessary.”

Aside from the raising of the NFL goal posts, the other rule changes have seen much more favorable results. The league will experiment with extra points kicked from the 20-yard line in the first two weeks of the preseason, and go from there. At one point, it was even proposed that the extra point would be completely eliminated.

Kicking from the 20-yard line would make it about a 37-yard field goal, which is fairly easy for most kickers, although it at least gives them a challenge opposed to the current set up. How do fans feel about the new rules?

  • Chuck Pagano Never Lost Faith in His Team

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano knows how to face adversity. When the cancer survivor was diagnosed with leukemia last September his reaction was one of defiance. “It never entered my mind that I wouldn’t beat it. I never once thought, ‘This is it.”

Thankfully for Pagano, his starting quarterback Andrew Luck has that same never quit mentality. With his team down 28 points in the third quarter to the Kansas City Chiefs in yesterday’s Wild Card game, Pagano never lost faith. “And we said we’re going to get back in this thing one play at a time. It looked bleak at times, but our guys, they never stopped playing. One thing we talked about this week is you can measure a lot of things at the Combine and all those type of things, but you can’t measure what’s inside a man. You can’t measure his heart. And these guys got more heart and grit than anybody I’ve ever been around, just the simple fact that they stuck to the process and never doubted.”

The Colts wound up defeating the Chiefs 45-44. The win was the second largest comeback in the history of the NFL. Next week’s game against the Patriots in New England is going to be an even tougher assignment for a young Colts team with a suspect defense and a second year quarterback. The opening Vegas line has the Patriots as a 7.5 point favorite. But Pagano isn’t worried about a let down after his team’s miraculous comeback. “Human nature is tough to fight, but they won’t get complacent. We signed up for one thing and one thing only when we all got together in Anderson in training camp, and we all know what that is. They’ll enjoy it for a few hours tonight and they’ll be in there first thing in the morning getting treatment, getting a lift, taking care of their bodies and watching tape.”

Kickoff for the Patriots/Colts game is set for 8:15 Saturday night. The two teams did not face each other this season. It will be a Tom Brady versus Andrew Luck matchup, the seasoned veteran against the aggressive second year standout. On the coaching side of things, this is only Pagano’s second year as a head coach. He will face off against Bill Belichick who has been the head coach for three Super Bowl winning New England teams and is currently the longest tenured active head coach in the NFL.

  • Tom Brady Pulls Off Houdini Act Again

    Tom Terrific did it again.

The NFL hype machine was on full drive last week, touting the epic Sunday night battle of future Hall of Famers. Manning versus Brady. Who would walk away the victor in yet another meeting of the two most talented quarterbacks of this generation? And if that wasn’t intriguing enough, former Patriot fan favorite Wes Welker, would be making his first return visit to New England after he and the team could not come to contract terms last off season.

For the first half of the game, it looked like it was going to be a stinker. The Broncos were up 24-0 going into halftime. Besides, Brady wasn’t having a great season, while Manning was having a season for the ages. There was no way that the team could mount a comeback, not in those freezing conditions, not when everything that could have gone wrong for the Pats in the first half, went wrong.

So, many football fans went to bed early thinking the game was over. It was not. And those sleepy fans missed out on one of the most incredible comebacks in NFL history.

The winds picked up even more during the second half as the temperatures reached North Pole conditions. Then, momentum began to swing in the other direction. Brady opened up the first half with an 80-yard march down the field. The drive was capped with a 5-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver rookie Julian Edelman. Perhaps the (second) biggest play of the game came next when Bronco running back Monte Ball fumbled. The turnover led to a 1-yard touchdown run for Brandon Bolden which cut the Denver lead to 24-14. The third quarter wrapped up with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Patriot tight end Rob Gronkowski, which made the game 24-21.

Denver still had the lead starting the fourth quarter. However, Manning threw a pick at the Denver 30-yard line. Brady wasted no time in reconnecting with Edelman on a 14-yard touchdown pass that gave the Pats a 28-24 lead. Patriot kicker Stephen Gostkowski hit a 31-yard field goal later in the quarter to put New England up by a touchdown.

Manning hadn’t scored a single point in the second half. But unwilling to accept defeat, he led his team on its first sustained drive of the half, which resulted in an 11-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas.

The epic battle would be decided in over time. Coach Belichick won the coin toss but opted to go against conventional thinking by electing to kick the ball knowing that a Denver touchdown would end the game. Why take the risk? The genius coach explained his thought process in the post game press conference. “The wind, it was a strong wind. We just had to keep them out of the end zone, obviously. I just felt like the wind would be an advantage if we could keep them out of the end zone on that first drive. We were able to do that. The wind was significant in the game, it was definitely significant.”

The two sides traded OT possessions, neither team could get a drive together to put up any points. Then with just minutes left to play, Wes Welker went back to receive a punt. New England fans began chanting, “Wel-ker, Wel-ker.” Maybe the derisive crowd got to him? Because instead of catching the ball, Welker called it off, and let it bounce. Unfortunately for the Broncos, the ball hit the unsuspecting Tony Carter who couldn’t get out of the way. He tried to explain what happened after the game, “I was blocking my guy to try to spring Wes for a return. I heard the ‘Peter’ call which means everyone get out of the way. I tried to get out of the way, but the ball bounced right into me. Tough bounce.”

The turnover put the Pats in field goal position. Gostkowski kicked the game winner with just 1:56 left to play. Interim Denver head coach Jack Del Rio knows the team needs to move on after the tough loss. “Regardless of how it goes down you’ve got to put it behind you quickly in this business. You learn your lesson and go forward.”

  • New England Patriots Squeak By Falcons, In Atlanta

The New England Patriots have certainly struggled in the early part of the 2013 season, but they were able to pull out and win their game yesterday against the Atlanta Falcons. While the team is 4-0 after the win, they have had some real scares early this season, against the Jets and Bills especially. The streak continued and even though the Patriots held a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter, they let the Falcons come back, and had to hang out to their lead, only managing to win 30-23.

The Patriots are aging and struggling, but this win is a statement for the team and shows that they can still beat a strong team while playing on the road. Tom Brady was also able to keep his touchdown pass streak alive and has now completed at least one touchdown pass in his past 52 games, states CBS Boston. This puts him second in NFL history, but the main action of the day went to the running game. The team racked up 132 yards rushing, and surprisingly got their first rushing touchdown of the season in week 4.

With an undefeated record, the Patriots will look to continue their streak, but hopefully in a much cleaner and commanding way in weeks to come. Atlanta is a great team led by quarterback Matt Ryan who led them to the playoffs last year, but is struggling in the current season. After the loss to the Patriots, the Falcons are only 1-3, which puts them at third place in the division, ahead of only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have struggled greatly in recent years. Coach Bill Belichick is obviously frustrated with the way that his team has been ending their games this season and after the game he remarked, “We’ve got to do a better job of finishing out the game.”

The Falcons put up quite a comeback in this game, but it was not enough to beat the Patriots. Brady was unable to find the right rhythm with his receivers until this week, where he threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns, his best performance of the season, according to Sports Illustrated. Part of the problem with the Patriots has been with the loss of their tight end Rob Gronkowski and receiver Danny Amendola, both who have been injured since the beginning of the season. Next week, the Patriots will face off against the Cinncinati Bengals.

  • Bill Belichick Extends Contract Again with the Patriots

Although the amount of Bill Belichick’s salary has always been obscure, one profound detail in his contract is crystal clear– it’s expiration date.  According to New England Sports News, it has been announced by NFL officials that Belichick isn’t going anywhere ‘anytime soon.’

There has been a lot of speculation in regards to the details of the legendary coach’s contract and the New England Patriots football club where Belichick is concerned.

Belichick, who is also the Patriots’ general manager, may have predominant control over nearly all of the team’s football transactions. But, the extent of his authority isn’t what grants him credence with any advantages in locking down yet another contract renewal. Belichick’s financial discretion, and winning track record are evident that his main focus is victory. Over the years, his actions have definitely spoke louder than his words.

Bill Belichick has been the head coach of the New England Patriots since 2000. His initial contract was set to end in 2007, but was renewed for another six seasons. Although the 2000 season, wasn’t a success, it served as the syllabus the team needed for development, which paid off tremendously. Over the past 13 years, Belichick has managed to produce the most laudable coaching statistics in franchise history with an impressive 153-57 record over 13 seasons collectively. He has also impelled the Patriots franchise to five Super Bowl appearances, clenching the first Patriots’ victory in franchise history in 2001. Out of the team’s five Super Bowl appearances, the Patriots have walked away with three victories. With Belichick’s peerless record, it is definitely not a surprise that the New England franchise has come to an amicable agreement to renew the head coach’s contract yet again.

NFL Network official Ian Rapoport also quoted an inside source stating that Belichick may be “coaching for quite some time.” The NFL Network has stated that the franchise is pleased, and the fans appear to be just as contended with the news.
