  • Betty White Shares Hilarious “Deadpool” Review Via Social Media

Betty White never fails to make people laugh. At age 94, the former star of The Golden Girls and Hot in Cleveland still has it.

On Friday, Betty White did it again. Taking to Twitter, she posted a review of the new Ryan Reynolds film Deadpool.

The Marvel film is described by White as something the whole family will love.

Words don’t do it justice. You must simply listen to the review–straight from Betty White’s mouth.

If her review wasn’t funny enough, Betty White also posted a photo of herself touting Deadpool–or maybe just Ryan Reynolds–via Instagram.

“I just love @vancityreynolds… check out his new movie #Deadpool,” she captioned her photo.

Per Betty’s advice, will you be checking out Deadpool? It opens nationwide in theaters today.

  • Betty White Dabs For The Super Bowl, Claims To Be Cam Newton’s Mentor

Actress Betty White stole the hearts of the audience of this year’s Super Bowl when she appeared in an opening video and did the now famous dab move. White showed off her dabbing skills and proved she is the coolest nonagenarian who ever existed.

White took the dabbing move to the next level in a Ron Howard-directed opening clip which featured a number of Hollywood celebrities who shared their Super Bowl memories. The star-studded clip included David Letterman and John Travolta, singer Bon Jovi and even Big Bird and Bugs Bunny. However, it was Betty White, who recently celebrated her 94th birthday that caught the attention of many when she demonstrated the perfect way to dab in the short video that aired on CBS on Sunday.

Betty White Dabs Like a Pro in the Super Bowl 50 Intro

White, who is best known for her role in the Golden Girls, claimed in the video she taught Cameron Newton “everything he knows.” The actress then surprised the audience when she move her arms and did the famous football gesture.

Right after the Super Bowl 50 opening aired, the irrepressible 94-year-old actress took to social media and joked that she trained the famous quarterback how to dab.

“I taught @CameronNewton everything he knows. #SuperBowl,” Betty White tweeted, along with a photo of her doing Newton’s signature move.

Newton, 26, serves as quarterback for the Carolina Panthers and was known for doing the famous move whenever he made a first down in the end zone. The Carolina Panthers faced the Denver Broncos on Sunday’s game, which was held at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.

Super Bowl 2016 kicked off with Lady Gaga’s moving rendition of the United States national anthem. Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars, British band Coldplay, and pop superstar Beyoncé were also in attendance. They entertained the cheering crowd as they performed during the halftime show.

  • Betty White to Join Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz on ‘Bones’

Betty White is headed to Bones.

No, that doesn’t mean she’s down to nothing but flesh and bones in her old age–she is, after all, 93. Instead, Betty White is set to join Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz on an episode of the Fox procedural crime drama-comedy Bones during the show’s new season this fall.

Betty White will play the role of Dr. Beth Mayer, a forensic anthropologist said to have even more experience than Temperance Brennan (Deschanel’s character). Brought in to assist on a murder that’s linked to fantasy football, a possible rivalry between the two experts could ensue.

It was just this past June that Hot in Cleveland, the popular sitcom on which Betty White starred, ended. And while one might expect that at 93 she’d be ready to retire, White seems ready for anything but.

Betty White joined Instagram this summer, showing fans she has some youth left in her yet. She presently boasts more than 200,000 followers.

Bones returns for its 11th season this fall on October 1st. The episode on which Betty White guest stars is set for later in the month.

Will you be tuning in to see Betty White’s character take on Temperance Brennan’s on Bones?

Are you amazed at what the actress still does at the age of 93?

  • Betty White To Join “Bones” In The Fall

Betty White just can’t take a break.

After wrapping Hot in Cleveland not very long ago, Betty White, the 93-year-old TV veteran, has already lined up her next couple of gigs.

Betty White will be joining the cast of Bones for one episode that will air in October.

In the episode, Betty White will play a new (old) “squintern” named Dr. Beth Mayer, who is brought in to assist in a fantasy football murder case.

Betty White’s character happens to be a fantasy football whiz and the world’s best forensic anthropologist. White tweeted the news herself on Thursday.

Betty White has been on TV since before most of our parents were even born.

Betty White first appeared on TV after an experimental broadcast when she was only 17 in 1939 and hasn’t stopped since.

Whether you first saw her on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, Hot in Cleveland or whenever it was, you know you’ve been a fan since then.

  • Valerie Bertinelli Cooks Up Delicacies Ahead of Food Network Premiere

Valerie Bertinelli is headed to the Food Network with her very own show. But before she lands there, she has cooked up some delicacies from her cookbook One Dish at a Time.

Valerie’s Home Cooking premieres on the Food Network Saturday at 12 p.m. EDT. In addition to appearing on The Today Show this week and preparing some delicious recipes for co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, she also made dinner for her Hot in Cleveland co-stars Betty White, Wendie Malick, and Jane Leeves.

“It was a little nerve-racking because Betty doesn’t like too many things,” Bertinelli said in an interview for the Associated Press. “She likes tuna fish, she likes hot dogs, she likes Red Vines (candy) and vodka. So what am I going to make for Betty?”

The One Day at a Time star turned to vodka for help. She prepared Betty White and the rest of her guests tuna salad with an Italian twist.

Right now Valerie Bertinelli is scheduled to appear on the Food Network with 10 episodes of Valerie’s Home Cooking. Ratings will determine whether or not they buy more episodes of her show.

Just because Valerie Bertinelli is Food Network bound, fans needn’t worry that she’s given up acting. In fact, she says she will soon be seeking out a new acting job. Hot in Cleveland was recently axed after six seasons on the air.

“Then they canceled us because they wanted to put on younger shows,” she explained.

Valerie Bertinelli has lots of spunk. It was obvious when she starred on One Day at a Time, and even thought that show aired decades ago, she still has a wealth of spunk left in her today. It will surely serve her well in Valerie’s Home Cooking, and in whatever acting job soon comes her way.

  • Rue McClanahan Is Still Dead: Did Lego Start the Rumor?

Rue McClanahan has been dead for five years. Somehow that was lost on some people. So they killed her again.

Social media lit up yesterday with news that Rue McClanahan, famous for playing Blanche on The Golden Girls, had died. Facebook and Twitter both roiled with the news, as fans and saddened TV watchers posted tributes and spread the news.

But, as any true Golden Girls fan would know, Rue McClanahan long ago departed this mortal coil to join Bea Arthur and Estelle Getty at that Shady Pines in the sky. Betty White has been the sole occupant of the lanai for a while now.

Rue McClanahan died of a stroke in June of 2010. McClanahan was 76 years old. Some have called McClanahan the Original Cougar for her role as the over-sexed Blanche Devereaux.

Perhaps it was the desire to round out the “they happen in threes” maxim by lumping Rue McClanahan in with the recently-deceased Christopher Lee and wrestler Dusty Rhodes that drove people to jump on the bandwagon. Or maybe some news is just big enough to pass around five years down the road for people who only climbed out from under a rock recently.

But it can be excused, given the fact that it was CBS who first ran with the “announcement.” Presumably, an intern has now been axed. But not before it got tweeted out at large.

If you follow this CBS link to the original story, it now leads to a video that claims that “for some reason” McClanahan’s death has gone viral. They even express wonder that the CBS obit for Rue McClanahan from five years ago is getting traffic again.

Maybe it’s because they posted it again?

Once their error was pointed out, many tweeters felt embarrassed. But people trust a national news agency to tell them straight.

Or maybe it was the Lego Corporation that gave the obit of Rue McClanahan a bump. Could they be drumming up sales for their Golden Girls Lego set?

There is already loads of interest in the set, which features the still-dead Rue McClanahan holding a lipstick.

  • Betty White: If You’re One of the Cool Kids, You’ll Follow Her On Instagram

Betty White has joined Instagram at 93. If you’re cool, you’ll immediately start following her.

In addition to joining the social media site, it definitely looks like Betty White gets hashtags.

There are people way younger than the Golden Girls and Hot in Cleveland star who still don’t get the whole concept of hashtags.

For her first (and only, thus far) Instagram post, Betty White chose a photo with her costars from Hot in Cleveland, during the taping of the show’s finale.

“For my first Instagram post I wanted to say how much I love these girls dearly. What a great time we had. #HOTFinale #ThanksForTheLaughs.,” she captioned the photo.

A photo posted by Betty White (@bettymwhite) on

Even though she only has that one Instagram post so far, Betty White already boasts 80.5 million followers.

She isn’t following any fellow Instagrammers herself, however.

Betty White never ceases to amaze her fans in these later years. She has hosted SNL and just recently was flash mobbed for her 93rd birthday, at the hands of Conan O’Brien. She was recently awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Emmys.

You’ll never be as cool as Betty White. That’s just a cold, hard fact of life.

However if you want to be included among the coolest of the cool kids, you’ll definitely follow her on Instagram.

  • Betty White Falls, Gets A Black Eye

Betty White Falls, Gets A Black Eye

Betty White stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, and when she sat down, Kimmel immediately noticed something wrong.

“What’s going on with your eye?” Jimmy Kimmel asked Betty White.

Of course, Betty White still has a quick wit at 93 years old and saw the opportunity to make a joke.

Betty White replied, “Oh, well, the makeup lady had a little problem with me and she hit me.”

She continued, “It was so unexpected! I thought she had a powder puff. She had her fist!”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRQHw8m9ULY

Jimmy Kimmel played along, saying, “I apologize. That is not how we expect our staff to behave with a guest.”

Betty White then revealed the real reason for her shiner, saying that she fell in the kitchen at her home.

She then said, “I never go in the kitchen because it’s dangerous! Of course!”

Betty White also talked about her love of driving. She doesn’t drive as much anymore, but said she has loved it since the day she started in 1938.

Betty White said, “I still drive, but people spoil me rotten. I get driven.”

She added, “I love to drive! Oh! I have a house up in Carmel and I love that drive. I could drive forever. I just love it.”

Later, Kimmel asked what it was like for Betty White to drive back in 1938.

Betty White replied, “Lovely! Oh, I was so thrilled, of course. I still love to drive. I love to drive! But when you first get driving, it’s such a thrill.”

Then, of course, Jimmy Kimmel had to play off of her thrill comment saying, “It’s the second best feeling there is, you know?”

After a moment of pause for processing, Betty White exclaimed, “Oh! Yes!”

Hilarious! A Betty White appearance is never a disappointment, is it?

Did you watch Betty White’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!?

  • Betty White Serenaded By Terry Crews With a Lip-Synch Version of ‘The Golden Girls’ Theme Song [Watch]

Betty White never ceases to charm the masses, even at the age of 93.

On Saturday, it was Terry Crews’ chance to charm the socks, or panty hose as the case may be, off Betty White as he serenaded the actress with The Golden Girls theme song.

The 46-year-old actor opened the 2015 TV Land Awards by performing lip-synch renditions of several television sitcom theme songs, including The Addams Family, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Friends and a sweet nod to Betty White as he launched into “Thank You for Being a Friend,” from The Golden Girls.

The annual event has a tradition of honoring series that are no longer on the air, and Betty White received the Legend Award at the ceremony.

NBC’s The Golden Girls was on the air for seven season and has been a favorite for years to come. Betty White starred as Rose Nylund.

At 93, Betty White is still working harder than most women half her age. She currently stars as Elka Ostrovsky on the TV Land series Hot in Cleveland. As for Terry Crews, he portrays Detective Sergeant Terry Jeffords on the Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Terry Crews hosted the annual award show as it was taped last Saturday. The show will air 9 p.m. April 18 on TV Land, so don’t miss Betty White blush at Terry Crews’ lip-synching.

  • Betty White To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award At Daytime Emmys

Betty White will be handed yet another award, a Lifetime Achievement award, to add to her already massive collection at next month’s Daytime Emmy Awards.

The 93-year-old actress will be honored for decades of contributions to the world of television.

Since the early 50’s, Betty White has been a favorite on several game shows, as well as many popular sitcoms like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, and Hot in Cleveland.

Betty White has already won six Emmy Awards, beginning in 1975. She also has two SAG Awards, a People’s Choice Award and has been inducted into the TV academy’s Hall of Fame.

And, of course, Betty White already has a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

Betty White has definitely earned the honor.

Bob Mauro, president of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, agrees. He said in a statement, “Betty White is an American institution. Betty’s career as a female pioneer has followed television from literally the beginning of the medium, winning her first Emmy Award in 1952, to the digital-streaming future, winning again in 2010.”

He added, “She is one of the most beloved female performers in the history of television and the National Academy is proud to be honoring her with a most well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award.”

Along with her many performances and appearances on numerous shows throughout the years, there have been some very special experiences for Betty White.

NATAS Senior Vice President of Daytime, David Michaels, said, “Betty White is the First Lady of Game Shows. Betty was the darling of Password, where she met the love of her life, Allen Ludden, and a favorite on Match Game, The $25,000 Pyramid and countless others. She was the first woman to receive an Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host in 1983 for the show, Just Men.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aGt1RBrzUw

He added, “From her iconic dramatic turn as Ann Douglas on The Bold and the Beautiful to her classic sitcom performances, to her movies and books, Betty is a woman who has excelled in everything she has ever done. She is also one of the nicest women in show business and we are proud to be bestowing this honor on such an exemplary role model for our entire industry.”

Everyone would agree that Betty White has made an enormous contribution to the world of television in her decades-long career.

What do you think about Betty White receiving the Lifetime Achievement award at this year’s Daytime Emmys?

  • Betty White to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Next Month’s Emmy Awards

Betty White will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award next month at the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced this in a press release on Monday.

“Betty White is an American institution,” Bob Mauro, president of the NATAS, said in the statement. “Betty’s career as a female pioneer has followed television from literally the beginning of the medium, winning her first Emmy Award in 1952, to the digital-streaming future, winning again in 2010.”

Betty White has won five Emmy Awards throughout her career, and has received 21 nominations. She will follow in the footsteps of Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters, Merv Griffin, and Regis Philbin when she receives the Lifetime Achievement Award.

How amazing that the star of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, and Hot in Cleveland is being honored in this way at the age of 93. She puts many younger actors to shame with her amazing outlook on life and seemingly boundless energy.

“She is one of the most beloved female performers in the history of television,” Bob Mauro says of the actress.

The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will take place on April 26th at 8:00 PM.

Congratulations to Betty White on earning this prestigious award.

  • Betty White: 93-Year-Old Comedy Legend Lip-Locks With Hollywood Hottie Bradley Cooper

Betty White made sure that her appearance during the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special was one to remember when she started making out with hottie Bradley Cooper.

The 93-year-old Golden Girls star appeared as a guest on The Californians sketch along with Taylor Swift, who played a hair-eating cousin, and Scandal’s Kerry Washington who played the doctor with the hilarious paternity-test results. Sketch regulars Kristin Wiig and Fred Armisen reprised their characters during their short comeback on the SNL Stage. The Hangover star Bradley Cooper then emerged out of the backstage wearing a blonde wig and a pair of short shorts. Cooper played Craig the pool boy in the 9-minute sketch that went overboard when White locked lips with Cooper.

The crowd went wild as the two shared a passionate kiss that lasted long until the sketch ended. The internet was on fire as #SNL40 became a trending topic.  Fans were insanely jealous over the fact that White made out with one of the sexiest men alive and some are saying how they want to be Betty White when they turn 90.

Betty White has a eight decade-spanning career in Hollywood, making her one of the greatest comedy legends living today. She became the oldest person to guest host on Saturday Night Live and her episode was considered to be a major ratings success. She even won the Primetime Emmy award for her SNL guest appearance.

The entire special ran for more than three hours and the event had a bunch of A-listers in attendance. Aside from White and Cooper, stars like Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake, Melissa McCarthy, Tom Hanks, and Paul McCartney were also present during the show. Former cast members like Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Eddie Murphy made cameos during the event, paying tribute to the program that helped launch their careers in comedy.

  • Betty White Treated to a Surprise ‘Hot in Cleveland’ Flash Mob to Celebrate Her 93rd Birthday

Betty White was treated to a very special surprise by the cast and crew of Hot in Cleveland on Friday, when they surprised her with a flash mob for her 93rd birthday.

Betty White, who turns 93 today, was transported to the lot in a golf cart at the Studio City’s television lot in California. When they arrived at the Hot in Cleveland soundstage, Betty White was surprised with the luau-themed song and dance routine created just for the birthday girl.

Dressed in grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts for the flash mob, Betty White‘s friends went all out to make her special day extra special. Co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick jumped in to provide a special hula dance that left Betty White in awe.

“At 93, you shouldn’t be doing this,” Betty White laughed.

Age is not slowing down the legendary comedienne down in the least. Over her birthday weekend, she plans on sharing her lifelong love of animals in her Great American Country special Betty White’s Smartest Animals in America.

“Can you imagine being blessed at this age with still working at the career you love the best?” Betty asked ET‘s Nancy O’Dell. “By now they should be saying, ‘Yes honey, you just stay in the rocker.’”

  • Betty White Has Emotional Reunion With Koko The Gorilla

Betty White may be just seven years shy of her 100th birthday, but that isn’t stopping her from taking on new projects.

The veteran actress will appear in Betty White’s Smartest Animals in America on January 17–which just happens to be her 93rd birthday–to show us some of the most intelligent, exotic creatures around the world. White has been a longtime advocate for animals and has been honored for her work with the Morris Animal Foundation, which supports science and veterinary medicine.

“With all the smart animals we’ve met — the more we take time to learn about them, the more we realize how amazing they really are. Any excuse to be around animals, I’ll take it!” White said in a recent statement.

White will reportedly be reunited with Koko the gorilla during the special; the duo formed a special bond when they met in 2004. Koko, well-known for being the first animal ever to communicate with humans when she learned sign language, was already a fan of White’s after watching shows like The Golden Girls.

“She has a fairly extensive library of DVDs, and she knows which are which. If she particularly likes something, she’ll say it’s good. A lot of times, if it’s getting to a sad part, she’ll just turn it off. Pretty Woman has always been one of her favorite films and she tends to watch things over and over again,” said Lorraine Slater, senior development director at the Gorilla Foundation.

Koko gave White a tour of her living area, a rarity reserved only for the most special people in Koko’s life, and the two of them talked that afternoon like old friends.

“Betty, for her part, was thrilled. She just talked to Koko as though she were a friend, and they got along famously,” said Slater.

To see the reunion, catch Betty White’s Smartest Animals in America on January 17 at 8 p.m. on Great American Country.

  • Betty White Cracks Up Audience At People’s Choice Awards; Wins TV Icon Award

Betty White, who starred in the recently-cancelled comedy show Hot in Cleveland, was given a TV Icon award during this year’s People’s Choice Awards which was held on January 7. As she got to the stage to accept her award, none other than Chris Evans (aka Captain America himself), offered his arm to help white onto the stage. White received a standing ovation from the crowd and was given a bouquet of flowers before beginning her acceptance speech. The star was as sharp and funny as ever, even referencing a speech comedienne Melissa McCarthy gave earlier that evening.

“When Melissa McCarthy came up on stage and said she’d stay with us as long as you let her — well, you’ve abused the privilege with me,” White joked.

The 93-year-old also said that she was shocked that she’s still being given awards at her age. “The People’s Choice at 93?” the Golden Girls actress said. “Thank you with all my heart.”

The award was presented to White by Ellen DeGeneres, who won the award for favorite TV show host. It is worth noting that White is in the Guinness Book of Records for having the longest TV career for a woman in history. And while Hot in Cleveland has been cancelled, White still manages to stay relevant by poking fun at pop culture trends including her famous spoof of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” video.

Betty White began her career in the 1930s when she started doing voiceover work for radio commercials and shows. And while she found success in TV shows from the ‘40s onwards, she pretty much became a household name when she starred in the sitcom The Golden Girls which chronicled the life of single women (widows and divorcees) who have reached their golden years.

White is the last surviving member of The Golden Girls’ main cast.

  • Betty White Fans Mourn Her Two Days After Death is Revealed to be a Joke

People, come on. Betty White is not dead. Quite a few people have missed the memo that the Hot in Cleveland star was the victim of a death hoax/homophone, as people are still paying their respects to the “late actress” online.

The rumor that Betty White passed away started on Wednesday after an article posted to the satirical Empire News website had a headline that read, “Actress Betty White, 92, Dyes Peacefully In Her Los Angeles Home.”

Apparently a lot of people don’t get the difference between “dies” and “dyes,” as roughly 90 percent of people with a Facebook or Twitter account had a breakdown at the so-called news. It’s also apparent that none of the people that got upset actually took the time to read the article, which was all about Betty White dyeing her hair.

She likes to relax in her home with her animals, and she rarely likes to discuss the fact, at least in public, that she is actually a brunette. She has been dyeing her own hair in her home for decades. Betty has often told me she feels it is relaxing and soothing to dye her own hair, peacefully in her home, where she can laugh and enjoy time with her animals. She’s said on more than one occasion that as a blonde, she has had ‘more fun’ in her roles, and in life.

After the “news” broke, we then saw tweets like this:

Thankfully, a representative for White issued a statement confirming that the actress is not dead on the same day the rumor started going around. “She is on the set shooting Hot in Cleveland right now,” agent Jeff Witjas told Los Angeles Times.

So, you’d think that between White’s agent confirming that she is alive shortly after the rumor spread like wildfire and a full 48 hours passing since the statement was released that most people would get that she is not, in fact, dead.

    Uh, no.

People are still posting to Facebook and Twitter talking about how sad White’s passing is and how their lives will never be the same. True, when the last remaining Golden Girl does die, it will be devastating, but why is it so difficult for people to get on the same page given how much time has passed?

These #RIP type posts have come in the last few hours:

    Sigh.

One more time, people: Betty. White. Is. Not. Dead.

  • Betty White Isn’t Dead, Just the Victim of a Bad Pun

Betty White, the 92-year-old comedienne and actress who seems to only get better with age, is fine. Despite what you may have heard on Twitter, White is not dead.

But she is the victim of a bad pun.

‘Satirical’ news site Empire News published an article on Wednesday titled “Actress Betty White, 92, Dyes Peacefully In Her Los Angeles Home.”

    Dyes? Dies? Homophones? Get it?

Of course this article, coupled with the the inability of many to stop and think about the difference between ‘die’ and ‘dye’, led to White being killed, again, on social media. This isn’t the first time and it won’t be the last time that the internet has declared Betty White a goner, but it’s the first time she’s been offed with a hair dyeing joke.

Lucky for all of us, one of America’s national treasures is alive and well.

    From the LA Times:

White’s agent, Jeff Witjas, assured the Los Angeles Times that the actress was alive and well. “She is on the set shooting ‘Hot in Cleveland’ right now,” he said.

Hurry up, Facebook. We need more of those satire tags, stat. And as far as Betty White’s concerned – she’ll probably outlive us all.

  • Betty White No. 1 On Entertainment Star Index

Betty White, everyone’s favorite golden girl, has some shocking staying power. Well, of course she does. She has continued to be a favorite of several generations of TV watchers.

Some people started watching her on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and fell in love with her charm and wit.

Some may have seen Betty White first on The Golden Girls in the late 80s through 2000.

But for this generation, she is the charming and slightly mischievous granny type on the shows Betty White’s Off Their Rockers and Hot in Cleveland.

Now, Betty White‘s staying power has some proof to back it up.

She has been No. 1 on the InterMedia Entertainment Star Index for the second quarter of 2014. That’s a pretty big deal!

“Betty White’s staying power is a marvel of the entertainment business; she has proven herself to be a highly-effective celebrity spokesperson — one whose sense of humor and disarming charm seem to only strengthen her trustworthiness and influence with people of both genders and all ages,” Rob Levy, president of InterMedia Entertainment, said.

Betty White is just loved by everyone.

In case you were unaware, the Entertainment Star Index was designed to “capture and track rapidly-shifting public sentiment concerning celebrities in a media- and celebrity-obsessed society.”

In the modern days of 15 minutes of fame then you’re gone, being loved by multiple generations during a career that spans over 70 years is nothing to sneeze at. Betty White started on radio and quickly made her way into everything from game shows to her own shows to star roles and everything in between.

92-year-old Betty White is enjoying a career revival that is pretty much unheard of. She is still going strong and working like crazy! Good luck to Betty White in all of her future endeavors!

  • Mary Tyler Moore Going Blind, Says Betty White

For years Mary Tyler Moore entertained America on shows such as The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Now the 77 year-old Moore is struggling in her fight against diabetes and, according to friends, is currently in poor health. More has struggled from the effects of diabetes for decades and in 2011 underwent brain surgery to remove a non-cancerous tumor.

Closer Weekly this week published a report on Moore, interviewing several of her famous friends about her health status. Unfortunately, it seems that the actress’ health has deteriorated in recent months, forcing her to stay close to her home and to her husband, cardiologist Robert Levine.

Betty White, who played Sue Ann Nivens in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, said that Moore’s eyesight is fading and is a “big problem.” White stated that Moore is almost to the point of not being able to see at all.

Moore’s longtime TV husband Dick Van Dyke told Closer that he talks to Moore often and that she “hasn’t been too well.” As he phrased it, Moore is “really having a battle with it.”

Valerie Harper, who played Rhoda Morgenstern in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and the series spin-off Rhoda, contends that Moore “stays healthy,” though diabetes “does ravage her body.” Harper herself is suffering from serious health issues, having announced last year that she has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Moore was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 33, just as she was beginning The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Since that time, Moore has become a spokesperson for diabetes awareness and research. She is currently the international chairman of the JDRF, a charity dedicated to funding diabetes research.

Moore spoke out about her struggle with diabetes in her second memoir, Growing Up Again: Life, Loves, and O Yeah, Diabetes. The book revealed that Moore has been struggling with vision impairment caused by diabetes for years.

  • Valerie Bertinelli Talks Weight Gain

    Valerie Bertinelli Talks Weight Gain

Actress Valerie Bertinelli spoke openly about her recent weight gain on Wednesday’s episode of The Talk.

It’s not the first time Bertinelli has been in the spotlight for her weight. A few years ago, her 40-pound weight loss was widely publicized when she signed on as a spokesperson for weight loss big name Jenny Craig. In 2009 she posed for the cover of People wearing a tiny green bikini just before her 49th birthday.

When Bertinelli sat down with The Talk hosts Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, Sheryl Underwood, and Carnie Wilson on Wednesday, she talked about recent photos from the set of her TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland.

Bertinelli admitted she’s gained weight in recent months. She broke her foot in December and had to forgo the gym on doctor’s orders.

She said that at one point she started to feel panicked about the weight gain:

“Why do I feel so much shame? Because the cameras are on me, because the paparazzi can’t wait to get a few pictures of me looking like I’ve gained a few pounds.”

Bertinelli said she finally has her doctor’s permission to return to the gym and she’s “ready to go.”

But she’s speaking out against what she sees as a cultural tendency to focus unnecessary attention on a woman’s weight.

“We have to take the shame out of it,” Bertinelli told The Talk hosts. “We all need to give each other a break. Especially women. Let’s leave each other alone.”

Bertinelli became a household name when she starred as Barbara Cooper on One Day at a Time from 1975 to 1984.

In 1981, she married rocker Eddie Van Halen. The couple divorced in 2007. They are the parents of 23-year-old Wolfgang Van Halen. Bertinelli married Tom Vitale in 2011.

Hot in Cleveland in which Bertinelli stars alongside Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, and Betty White, premiered on TV Land in 2010. In March 2013 it was renewed for a 24-episode fifth season, which premiered on March 26.

  • Betty White Talks About ‘Hot in Cleveland’ and ‘The Soul Man’ Live Team-Up

Betty White, the former actress of the The Golden Girls, has been making promo appearances within the past few days to promote a highly anticipated TV sitcom collaboration.

White has recently been featured in a few interviews sharing her excitement about TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland and The Soul Man very first crossover episode this week.

The 92-year-old shared how she will be shooting Hot in Cleveland first, and then the cast will make their way to The Soul Man set to star in a completely live episode-something she is all too familiar with.

“I started out doing five-and-a-half hours a day, six days a week live…but I didn’t have an audience,” she told ABC News during a group interview.

Hot in Cleveland co-star Jane Leeves added that live shows tend to be slightly more demanding.

“Doing it live, I tell you, really forces you to stay in the moment,” she said.

White reassures, however, that audiences play a major part in live TV show specials.

“What the audience doesn’t realize is how much a part of the show they are,” she told ABC News.

In a separate interview with The Talk, the female hosts were quite astonished that White has so much vigor to do two live shows in the same night.

“I love the adrenaline you get from live,” she said enthusiastically.

White is truly one of those hard-working performers who has plenty of experience under her belt-and, at her age, of course she does.

One of her most renowned accomplishes includes six Emmy Awards over a span of 61 years. Others include becoming one of the first women in television, the oldest Grammy Award winner in 2012, and the only female to win an Emmy in all comedic categories.

Additionally, in 2013, White was awarded as the Guinness World Records’ first female entertainer to withstand the longest TV acting career.

When sarcastically asked if there was anything she hasn’t done, the comedian’s response was quite humorous as always: “Robert Bradford.”

Catch the live special of Hot in Cleveland and The Soul Man this Wednesday March 26 starting at 10 p.m. on TV Land.
