  • Jared Fogle Gets Beaten In Prison Rec Yard By 60-Year-Old Inmate

Former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle was attacked and beaten up in a prison brawl, according to reports.

Fogle, who was convicted for sex with minors, was attacked by another inmate identified as Steven Nigg, 60, in the rec yard of a Federal Correctional Institute in Englewood Colorado on January 29.

Nigg, who was in for a gun conviction, reportedly pushed Fogle down before punching his face. The sex offender sustained scratches on the neck, a bloody nose, and a swollen face while Nigg got a small cut on his left hand. Jail officials put the attacker in solitary as punishment.

According to reports, the said inmate was not happy because many child molesters are housed in the low security facility. Larry Levine, a former inmate, and now the director and founder of Wall Street Prison Consultants, previously told In Touch that prisoners who have committed child sexual crimes are “hated more than anything else” in prison.

Fogle was sentenced to 15 years and 8 months behind bars for possession of child pornography materials and engaging in sexual activities with minors. He was sentenced at an Indianapolis court in November after pleading guilty to child molestation charges filed against him.

Despite a plea deal with prosecutors in August, which declares they would not ask for a sentence over 12 and a half years, the court eventually decided on a heavier sentence after the judge concluded it did not “sufficiently account for the defendant’s criminal conduct.” The deal also ordered Jared Fogle to pay $1.4 million in restitution for his victims.

Tanya Walton Pratt, a U.S. District Judge, said Jared Fogle should be subject to a lifetime of supervision saying, “The level of perversion and lawlessness exhibited by Mr. Fogle is extreme.”

The 38-year-old former Subway spokesperson was also ordered to undergo psychological treatment.

  • LAPD Beating Lawsuit, Jury Rules Against Banker

Former Banker and Hollywood executive, Brian Mulligan who claimed excessive force during an arrest in May 2012, sued two Los Angeles police officers John Miller and John Nichols for a cool $20 million dollars.

According to authorities, Mulligan was seen running (on foot) into traffic on a busy street in Los Angeles. When officers responded to the call, Mulligan was erratic, and resisted when officers tried to restrain him to get him into their car.

Mulligan claimed he suffered multiple nose fractures; a broken shoulder blade and a bloody head after the officers arrested him, but officers claim they were dealing with a man who was abusive, violent and high on bath salts.

According to WebMD: The effects [of bath salts] can include agitation, paranoia, hallucinations, chest pain, increased pulse, high blood pressure, and suicidal thinking/behavior.

Officer John Miller of the LAPD was cleared by a jury on Friday, and said afterward that he was relieved by the verdict.

“This means the world to me,” said Officer John Miller, his mother standing near him. “I am extremely relieved. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me as an officer.”

Miller went on to say, “I am happy the truth came out. We couldn’t say anything for months…. We knew the truth and we just wanted to get it out. The reason I was so fluid on the witness stand was I was speaking the truth.”

The plaintiff, Brian Mulligan had a top-notch legal team, however, according to Officer Miller and his attorney, they couldn’t change the truth.

After the verdict was read, LAPD Chief Charlie Beck made a brief statement to The Times.

“My thanks to the city attorney for their masterful presentation and to the jury for their thoughtful deliberation,” Beck said. “The decision was just. ”

The other officer in the lawsuit, John Nichols is on leave pending disciplinary hearings in another case. That case led to another lawsuit from a former police informant, claiming Nichols and another officer forced her to have sex.

The LA City Council agreed to pay $575,000 to settle this lawsuit, even though Nichols denied any wrongdoing.

  • Nevada Motel Captive: Woman Kidnapped For 6 Months

You have to wonder about the positive affects of social media, but in this case there is no doubt, it saved a woman being held captive.

The social media site, Facebook, is what saved Sheena Herschback from the forced imprisonment she endured at the hands of Jason Greniger who held her for six months in a hotel room against her will.

Her Facebook post simply stated: I just whant to let every one know im sarry I whant to come home but he wont let me yes Jason he don’t knoe im online im in mesquet novata at the mv motel. It was enough for local police to learn of her dilemma and show up at that seedy motel.

According to Mesquite police, Jason Greniger, 34, was taken into custody on Saturday after officers were called of a possible kidnapping at the MV Motel.

When police showed up they reported that Herschbach appeared to be scared but also relieved when she saw the officers.

“I was scared that he was going to kill me,” said Herschbach to FOX5. “The most painful part was when he would hit me in the head and keep on and wouldn’t stop.”

Herschback said in the Fox5 interview that she had been held against her will by her ex-boyfriend Greniger, who had picked her up from her home in California after pleading with her that she should come back into the relationship. She said that Greniger then threatened to harm or kill her and her family if she escaped.

Herschback also told police that she had filed a protection order against Greniger.

During the six months, Greniger allowed Herschback to get beer at a grocery store, allowing her out of his sight, and to go to the library, where she was able to use social media to ask for help.

“I was relieved,” said Herschbach. “I was already stressed out. I then come to find out my mom passed away a month ago and it just put me down more. I wish I would have never listened to him to beg me to come back. It’s not worth the pain.”

Greniger initially tried to hide his identity from police, most likely due to previous infractions, however, they were able to learn of his true identity through his tattoos and physical appearance.

Police have put Greniger in jail on an outstanding warrant for first-degree malicious punishment of a child’s body, and he is also being booked on a felony second-degree kidnapping. He is being held in the Clark County Detention Center.

  • Justin Bieber: “Boyfriend”, Boxing, and Blood

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber is changing up his image a bit, but it comes at a price.

The 18-year old has certainly done some growing up in the past year or so, and a new photo shoot for Complex Magazine shows off a side of him that his young fans have never seen: the reckless, butt-kicking side.

    (image)

The shoot was done for the magazine’s 10th anniversary cover, and it looks to be an interesting one. The theme involves Bieber holding his own against two huge boxers while wearing a tux, at first just taking punches–and getting bloody–and then giving them. A sexy ring-girl in a gold bikini alternately gives him water and cheers him on, giving him a second wind to get up and throw some fists.

Bieber, who was discovered in 2008 at the ripe old age of fourteen, has seen mega success since his first full-length studio album was released in 2010.
