  • Danica Patrick Gets Buff for Super Bowl Ad

In a GoDaddy commercial that would make The Situation and GTL fans everywhere scream with joy, Danica Patrick sports a big muscle body suit and races against buff-bodied men to the nearest spray tan palace. GoDaddy is going against their traditional dolled-up, glamorous marketing approach in this year’s Super Bowl ad. Instead of seeing a sexy Danica, Super Bowl audiences will witness how the brunette NASCAR driver looks with veins popping and more muscles than Poppy when he eats his spinach.

The advertising goddess has now appeared in 13 GoDaddy Super Bowl commercials, making her the most used celebrity in big game ads. Why the GoDaddy marketing switch? Last year’s commercial with Danica and supermodel Bar Refaeli sucking face with a nerd ranked last in USA Today’s Super Bowl ad meter. However, the word of mouth due to the rather disgusting and outrageous make out session did reach an all-time high.

Maybe you remember it? Maybe you’d like to forget it? Either way, here’s another look at sexy meeting smart.

The web hosting company who has continually used the Super Bowl as a major advertising platform will hope that their 2014 ads will be a touchdown. The estimated price for a 30-second commercial this year is $4 million.

And believe it or not, the price tag is usually worth it. Not only will people be talking about and rewatching ads the next day on the internet, but the Super Bowl attracts over 100 million viewers world wide. In an age where television audiences usually switch the channel during commercials or fast-forward them on their DVR, people know to stay-tuned for the clever and expensive ads shown during breaks in the game.

Super Bowl XLVIII will take place on February 2nd in New Jersey. The offensively-charged Denver Broncos will face the defensive-minded Seattle Seahawks.

  • Go Daddy ‘Nerd Sex Symbol’ Is No Stranger To The Ladies

Apparently the guy in that GoDaddy Super Bowl ad is now a “sex symbol“. I’m not sure exactly what qualifies one for that title, but I suppose making out with a supermodel in front of an audience of millions helps.

The man’s name is Jesse Heiman and the esteemed CNET points to his IMDB page and his Facebook profile:

Based on his various public Facebook photos, he does seem to be somewhat popular with the ladies:

Then, of course there’s his claim to fame:

Heiman has also appeared as “Computer Guy” in Noobz, “Water Fountain Drinker” in an episode of Parks And Recreation, “Stumbling Student” on Suburgatory, “Nerd” on Awkward, “Nerd” in Detention, “Hotdog Buying Guy” on How I Met Your Mother, “Member of Wil Wheaton’s Entourage,” and even “Student” in The Social Network.Other roles include: “3rd UFL Enthusiast,” “Member of the Highschool Video Club,” “Mondo Gelato Customer,” “Chemistry Class Student,” “Prey,” and “Nerdy Guhy”. He once played “Party Guy” in Privileged.

The Go Daddy ad was created by the Deutsch NY agency, which was also responsible for some other Super Bowl spots, like the controversial VW ad.

  • Bar Refaeli Shares an Awkward Kiss in Go Daddy Super Bowl Ad

Go Daddy is world renowned for their somewhat racy advertisements, the most recent featuring Danica Patrick and Jillian Michaels. For this year’s Super Bowl, Go Daddy has tapped the Deutsch NY agency to create an ad that retains that “sexy” edge, but also showcases the “smart” side of the company.

Last month, we learned that model Bar Refaeli would be representing that “sexy” side in one of Go Daddy’s two Super Bowl spots. We now learn that the ad, entitled “Perfect Match,” will involve Refaeli participating in a somewhat awkward kiss with character actor Jesse Heiman.

“We think we’re going to make special Super Bowl magic with ‘Perfect Match,’” said Go Daddy Chief Marketing Officer Barb Rechterman. “This ad marries Go Daddy’s edgy brand with our reputation for taking care of customers in a way we think will be surprising and, more importantly, entertaining.”

The ad’s theme is that Go Daddy marries sexy and smart. I guess it’s up to you to determine who represents what in the 30-second spot.

  • Bar Refaeli Is The New Go Daddy Girl For The Super Bowl

It almost wouldn’t be the Super Bowl without Go Daddy advertising with scantily clad women. The company announced today that it has signed actress and model Bar Refaeli to star alongside longtime Go Daddy girl Danics Patrick in one of its two 30-second Super Bowl spots.

The one with Refaeli is titled “Perfect Match,” but the company isn’t releasing details of the ad’s concept.

“The opportunity to be in a Super Bowl commercial is thrilling … and to partner with Go Daddy is something I just couldn’t resist,” said Refaeli, who was number one on Maxim’s Hot 100 list for 2012. “I feel like the ‘Perfect Match’ commercial is a chance to be in an iconic Super Bowl spot that not only leaves people talking, but shows everyone what Go Daddy is really about. I really look forward to meeting Danica too!”

Patrick will have appeared in 12 Super Bowl commercials after this year’s game. She has already appeared in more than any other celebrity in history, according to the company.

“Go Daddy attracts a lot of marketing attention,” says Patrick. “What really makes Go Daddy special, though, is the way they ‘get it done’ for their customers – their brand of personalized service is unlike anything in the tech industry … the commercials are just the icing on the cake and I think ‘Perfect Match’ will be one of those ads people rewind to see over and over.”

“We think we’re going to make special Super Bowl magic with ‘Perfect Match,’” adds Go Daddy Chief Marketing Officer Barb Rechterman. “This ad marries Go Daddy’s edgy brand with our reputation for taking care of customers in a way we think will be surprising and, more importantly, entertaining.”

Perfect Match was developed by Deutsch NY and is being filmed in Los Angeles today. I would imagine that we’ll be seeing it show up on YouTube before too long.

  • Bar Refaeli Has a (Fake) Sex Tape Kickstarter; The Internet Lives Up to Its Promise

If you haven’t heard, model Bar Refaeli really, really wants to get her sex on on-camera – so much so that she’s developed a Kickstarter project in the hopes that a few people out there will be nice enough to throw her a few bucks to make it happen.

Luckily for her, the project has seen a mild bit of success. Initially, she only really wanted $10,000 worth of pledges. But as of now, she’s received $159,219,390 worth of pledges courtesy of over 2.2 million backers.

Ok, none of this is real (curse the gods). But if crowdfunding a sex tape isn’t an example of both the initial promise of the internet and the inevitable demise of culture – I don’t know what is.

    Check out Refaeli’s plea below:

Good on Funny or Die, as they actually created a mock Kickstarter page for the project.

“Perhaps I need to explain this project further. I’ve always been fascinated by the human body. Specifically, when two bodies do it with each other. I’m going to pick a guy to do with and then film it. Let me back up here- by “it”, I mean “sex”. By “sex”, I mean really going to f*cking town,” says the page.

  • Bar Refaeli Tweets About “Uncomfortable” TSA Patdown

God bless the TSA. Not that I agree with their methods of security, or think that people don’t have a right to feel seriously violated by screenings, but it feels like they’re in the news all the time. After a while, even with all of the crap that they often put people through – you kind of feel sorry for them, right?

Well, Israeli model and former Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl Bar Refaeli doesn’t seem to be losing any sleep over the plight of the TSA agent.

According to Refaeli’s Twitter account, the model had an unpleasant time while traveling this week. Not only did she tweet that she received an “uncomfortable” patdown from airport security, but he gave her opinion on the reason as well. Check out the tweet below:

I got a security ‘patdown’ by a woman at the airport that made me feel very uncomfortable and left no doubt about her sexual preferences(image) 1 day ago via Twitter for iPhone ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

There’s no doubt about what she’s implying there.

At least she was able to joke about it later with gossip blogger Perez Hilton:

@PerezHilton yea well. At least it wasn’t in a dark alley 😉(image) 23 hours ago via Twitter for iPad ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Just yesterday we told you about an Oregon man who stipped buck-naked in protest of what he felt was “harassment” from TSA agents. Images and video from that incident went viral, as he held up traffic in two screening lanes and forced children to avert their eyes.

If Bar Refaeli would have made a similar gesture, I doubt there would be many people averting their eyes.
