Atomic Wedgie Murder- Not A Joke

An atomic wedgie murder may sound like the storyline from an episode of Family Guy, but sadly, it’s a real case. 33 year old Brad Lee Davis has admitted to giving his stepfather, Denver St. Clair, an atomic wedgie that lead to his death. If you don’t know what an atomic wedgie is, it’s when a person pulls another person’s underwear up their back and over their head.

When Davis pulled St. Clair’s underwear over his head, they covered his mouth and nose and suffocated him. When Davis realized that St. Clair was not breathing, he called 911, but St. Clair died before help could arrive.

Davis told investigators that he was mad at his stepfather because he had called is mother a bad name. He also said that he had planned to hurt him as a form of revenge but did not want the assault to go so far that it killed him. A medical examiner was able to determine that St. Clair could have died from either a blunt force trauma or asphyxiation.

Davis and his father got into a physical altercation before the wedgie and police officers found blood on the wall inside the home where the murder occurred.

“The asphyxia is coming from the atomic wedgie,” said Lt. Jimmy Brewer. “The gentleman pulled [St. Clair’s] underwear up over his head.”

Davis is currently being held without bond. His next court hearing is expected to take place on January 22, when the formal charges will be filed.

  • Atomic Wedgie Murder In Oklahoma

A 33-year-old man has been charged with one of the most bizarre murders Oklahoma has ever seen. Brad Lee Davis has been charged with murdering his step-father 58-year-old Denver St. Clair…using his underwear.

Pottawatomie County deputies said that Davis gave St. Clair and atomic wedgie, and that the elastic from the underwear wrapped around St. Claire’s neck, which ultimately led to his death. “Nobody that I’ve had contact with has seen anything like this before,” Pottawatomie County Lt. Jimmy Brewer said. “The asphyxia is coming from the atomic wedgie,” said Brewer. “The gentleman pulled [St. Clair’s] underwear up over his head.”

Davis called 911 after he realized that St. Claire had stopped breathing, and admitted to the deputies that he had given his step-father an atomic wedgie. He explained that they had gotten into a fist fight after St. Claire insulted his mother, and that’s when he gave him the wedgie. Davis said he wanted to hurt St. Claire, but had no intentions of killing him.

Davis is currently being held without bond, and is scheduled to be formally charged with murder on January 22.

  • Atomic Wedgie Murder: Man Accused of Using Underwear to Kill Stepfather

Here’s something you don’t hear every day–a man in McLoud, Oklahoma was killed by an atomic wedgie. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this more extreme form of a wedgie, the atomic wedgie involves pulling the waistband of a person’s underwear over his head. Brad Davis, 33, was arrested in connection with the death and admitted to giving his stepfather an atomic wedgie during a fight.

There’s no doubt that police officers have heard of some of the more bizarre ways to kill someone, but the atomic wedgie murder has certainly thrown the police in Pottawatomie County for a loop. Sheriff Mike Booth said that he had never even heard of the term “atomic wedgie” before talking to his suspect. “I’d never seen this before, but when we first looked at our victim seeing the waistband of his underwear was around his neck,” Booth said.

Denver St. Clair was killed on December 21. The fight reportedly occurred after a night of drinking and got started when St. Clair made some bad comments about Davis’s mother. Davis called 911 after his stepfather stopped breathing, and police found him at his home with his underwear pulled around his neck. Davis later told police that he gave his stepfather an atomic wedgie during a fight.

St. Clair’s death was eventually ruled a homicide, and the Oklahoma state medical examiner’s office says that St. Clair’s death was caused by “asphyxiation caused by the elastic underwear band being stretched over his head and left around his neck.” In addition to the underwear around the neck, St. Clair also had several injuries, including an injury to the head. The ME also noted that it was possible that blunt force trauma to the head could have contributed to St. Clair’s death.

Davis maintains that his stepfather attacked him and that he only fought back–and gave the atomic wedgie–as a form of self-defense, but police aren’t buying that story and plan to charge him with murder. “We continued our investigation and uncovered evidence that led us to believe that this was more than just a fight,” said Booth.

Atomic Wedgie Kills Man, Stepson Arrested

Atomic wedgies aren’t fun; in fact, they can be quite painful and even harmful if executed correctly. But one Oklahoma man took things a step further just before Christmas, giving his stepfather a fatal version.

33-year old Brad Davis has been arrested for the murder of his stepfather, 58-year old Denver Lee St. Clair, after the December 21st assault in which he pulled St. Clair’s underwear up over his head during an altercation. St. Clair had a head wound;.the cause of death has been listed as suffocation and blunt force trauma.

“I’d never seen this before, but when we first looked at our victim seeing the waistband of his underwear was around his neck,” Sheriff Mike Booth said.

Davis told police his stepfather “jumped him” when he arrived at his home; however, investigators say Davis was drinking with his stepfather when St. Clair made a derogatory comment about Davis’ mother. Davis says his stepfather swung first and that he was simply defending himself, but police say they believe he altered the crime scene after he called 911 to back up his story.

“We continued our investigation and uncovered evidence that led us to believe that this was more than just a fight,” said Booth.
