  • Arrowhead Homicide Leaves Police With Questions

A man died at the Arrowhead Stadium Sunday night after getting into a fight with a car owner. Allegedly, a man and his son were returning to their car after the Broncos-Chiefs game when they found another man inside the car.

According to witnesses, the two men got into a fight which led to the man in the car collapsing. The car owner’s son ran for help. Paramedics arrived at the scene and administered first aid before taking the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Little is known about the incident and police are still investigating it. They are treating it as a homicide and are still trying to determine the cause of death of the man and whether or not the men knew each other. It has also not been determined if either of the two men involved in the fight were watching the game before the altercation occurred.

The police said that they are still interviewing witnesses to learn more about the details of the altercation and events leading up to the man’s death. Several people have been taken to the Kansas City Police Department for questioning but nobody has been arrested for the murder.

The Arrowhead Stadium shares a parking lot with Kauffman Stadium and has been the site of violence in the past. Last year, a Kansas City Royals employee was attacked and shot in the same parking lot. The gunman later returned to his vehicle and committed suicide.

  • Arrowhead Homicide: Police Investigate Man’s Death

During Sunday’s game, played by the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos, a man was killed during an altercation in the parking lot of Arrowhead Stadium. Police confirmed the man’s death and say they are treating his death as a homicide.

So far, no arrests have been made, but police are still continuing their investigation to find out who the killer is and the motive behind the murder. They currently have three persons-of-interest in custody.

Eye witnesses described the incident to police saying that a father and his son walked to their car and noticed a man in their vehicle going through their belongings. A struggle took place, leaving the man lying unconscious on the ground. Paramedics arrived and took the man to the hospital where he later died. His name has not been released, and neither has the suspects.

“Talking to several witnesses that were out here in the parking lots, there was an individual who came back to his vehicle, saw someone inside the vehicle that did not belong. A struggle ensued between the two. That’s when the individual collapsed,” Kansas City police spokesman, Darin Snapp, said.

The main focus right now is determining the man’s cause of death. “We don’t know if the person had a health condition, had a heart attack. We don’t know,” Snapp said. “We’re going to investigate this as a homicide until we hear differently. Right now it’s a suspicious death but we are going to investigate it as a homicide.”

The men in custody are not being treated as suspects until the autopsy reveals the man’s cause of death. “Right now they’re persons of interest,” Snapp said. “Like I said, until we find out exactly how this person passed away, we’re going to investigate it as a homicide. They’re not suspects right now until we find out exactly what happened.”

  • Arrowhead Homicide: Three Arrested after Man Dies

Kansas City Police Chief Darryl Forte announced that a death that occurred in the parking lot of Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, is being investigated.

There is no official update from police at this time, but KCTV reports that a man and his son returned to their Jeep in Parking Lot A during the game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday to find someone sitting in their SUV, “rifling through the vehicle.” A struggle then ensued between the two men.

As the man and the Jeep owner began to fight, the owner’s young son ran for help. The man found in the Jeep, described as in his mid 20s, collapsed onto the pavement during the fight and was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police officers were called to the scene at 5:20, arresting three persons of interest.

Kansas City police Officer Darrin Snapp said an autopsy will be vital in determining the cause of death since the man wasn’t stabbed or shot.

“The main thing we’re trying to figure out now is exactly how this person died. The hospital says there’s no obvious signs of how he passed away, so we’re still waiting on that. We’re going to investigate it as a homicide until we find out exactly how the person died,” Snapp said.

“Everyone was very cooperative when we got here,” Snapp said. “Everyone that we believed was involved is still here and we’re talking to them. Right now they’re persons of interest. Like I said, until we find out exactly how this person passed away, we’re going to investigate it as a homicide. They’re not suspects right now until we find out exactly what happened.”

  • Loudest Stadium Award Goes to Arrowhead Stadium

Fans at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City have set a new world record for making the most noise during a football game at an outdoor stadium.

The Guinness World Records crowned the stadium the award after the cheering reached 137.5 decibels. The previous record was set earlier this year when the Seattle Seahawks fans reached 136.6 decibels CenturyLink Field.

Guinness adjudicator Philip Robertson was at the game on Sunday and was also the adjudicator during the Seahawks game . “In the fourth quarter, they got to 135.4, and that’s where we thought they were going to finish,” he said. “Heads dropped, but then the fans really started working together. They destroyed any Premier League hopes of attaining this record, I can tell you that, and I’m a Brit that loves the Premier League. It was extraordinary.”

Although the players love to hear the fans cheering them on, some of them said that the noise was distracting them from the game. “The way the crowd was going, that was tough,” the Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith said. “I was sitting there on the sideline, and I could tell, it was hard environment to execute in.”

“I had people who’d been coming to Chiefs games for decades come up to me and say, `I’ve never heard it that loud,”‘ said Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt. “It’s very difficult for a team to play in that.”

  • Loudest Stadium Award Goes To….. Arrowhead Stadium!

For all of you NFL enthusiasts, the official numbers are definitely in! This time, there’s no doubt about it that the award for the loudest NFL stadium goes to Arrowhead Stadium.

Home of the Kansas City Chiefs, Arrowhead Stadium reached new heights on Sunday as fans roared in the final minutes of the game in wake of a momentous 24-7 victory over the Oakland Raiders. With an undefeated 6-0 record this season, devout Chiefs’ fans definitely have something to roar about. They turned up the volume, reaching a 137.5 decibel peak of sound in the final minutes of the game.

According to Guinness World Records, the record-breaking feat was actually accomplished when fans broke the 136.6 decibel sound barrier. That particular record was set earlier this season by Seattle Seahawk fans during the Seahawks-49ers game.

NBC Sports puts the magnitude of the sound level into perspective, stating that the noise is actually comparable to ‘a jet engine at 100 feet, which is about 140 decibels.’

The Chiefs fans, in conjunction with the team organization, have been accredited for the collaborated effort. The organization shelled out approximately $7,500 to bring in a Guinness adjudicator. Ironically, the adjudicator was Guinness official, Philip Robertson, who was actually on site for the Seahawks decibel record earlier this season. Robertson also weighed in on how the experience felt to him. “They destroyed any Premier League hopes of attaining this record, I can tell you that, and I’m a Brit that loves the Premier League. It was extraordinary,” said Robertson.

Chiefs head coach, Andy Reid stated that he actually ‘felt the ground shaking.’ It was also noted that the roaring sounds also shook the stadium press box as well. Ground shaking is definitely befitting for the experience overall.
