Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato: Twitter Trio Celebrates New Music

Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato have a lot in common. For example, Selena Gomez’s new album, “Revival,” was just released. So was Demi Lovato’s new album, “Confident.” Ariana Grande has a new single called “Focus” that is set to drop at the end of this month.

The three ladies became a Twitter trio on Saturday, as they shared a bunch of love with one another via the social media site.

Grande started things off by complimenting Lovato on her new album.

The “Cool for the Summer” singer responded.

Ariana Grande shortly thereafter Tweeted Selena Gomez, congratulating her on the release of “Revival.”

Selena Gomez kept her Tweet well below the character minimum, but summed her feelings up nicely in reply.

These three young women have an abundance of talent as solo artists. Wouldn’t it be a blast to get Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato together for a performance?

Just imagine the Tweets that kind of music would ignite.

  • Justin Bieber Releases New Single, ‘What Do You Mean?’ Check It Out

Justin Bieber has blown up the summer music charts for weeks with his “Where Are You Now?” collaboration with Skrillex and Duplo, and now he’s dropped yet another single for fans’ listening pleasure–one he has teased for about a month. “What Do You Mean?” features a more mature twist to typical Justin Bieber tunes, but includes the upbeat sound fans have long counted on.

It won’t be long before the music video for “What Do You Mean?” drops, and that will no doubt include some steamy footage. The video features Justin Bieber with hot model Xenia Deli. The two have been spotted together a lot in recent days, but sources close to the Biebs say it’s for the music video only. The two are not romantically involved.

“What Do You Mean?” is said to be Justin Bieber’s big comeback song, although “Where Are You Now?” seemed to serve that purpose. Justin Bieber has supposedly reinvented himself–not just musically, but in his personal life, too. Many were repelled by his trouble-making ways in the past couple of years and serious changes were necessary to keep his career from tanking.

Justin Bieber had lots of help teasing and promoting his new song. He relied on close friends Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Ariana Grande to lend a hand. He even Tweeted out the lyrics–line by line–about a week ago, in his attempt to garner interest from his fans.

Did it work? That, of course, remains to be seen. But if “What Do You Mean?” goes the way of “Where Are You Now?” then Justin Bieber has another huge summer hit on his hands.

Is Justin Bieber en route to the top once again?

  • Demi Lovato Shuts Down Speculation of Ariana Grande Shade: ‘Stop the Bull***t’

Demi Lovato shut down rumors of a rift between her and Ariana Grande in a blunt Twitter post on Sunday.

Over the weekend, some fans wondered if Lovato was trying to take a stand by singing Made in the USA Saturday night at the 2015 MLB All-Star Game in Cincinnati in the wake of DonutGate.

Lovato performed her 2013 single during the slot she took over for Ariana Grande, who was recovering from wisdom teeth surgery.

It would be easy to assume Demi Lovato’s choice of the patriotic song was a shade against Grande, who took flack for her remarks about America. Demi’s question, “How many of you guys are proud to be an American?” didn’t really help matters.

However, Lovato said the song was in no way tied to Ariana Grande and she made that crystal clear in her tweets.

Guess her tweet cleared up that matter.

Also on Sunday, Demi Lovato posted a sexy Instagram pic encouraging body-conscious women to embrace their curves.

  • Laura Ingraham Says Ariana Grande Is “Spoiled, Entitled Pop Princess”, Says Her Music Is “Inconsequential”

Laura Ingraham lost her mind on Thursday’s episode of Fox & Friends.

The incident that sent Laura Ingraham over the edge was the now-infamous Ariana Grande donut licking tape.

In the video, Ariana Grande is recorded licking and spitting on donuts that are for sale and then saying, “That’s f—king disgusting. I hate Americans. I hate America.”

Laura Ingraham didn’t take kindly to the insinuations about our country.

Laura Ingraham stated, “Another spoiled, entitled pop princess who’s benefited so lucratively from being in this country, from being an American.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw7-12w_m0Y

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFXCPuvajzk

She continued, “And yet when she doesn’t think anyone’s listening, she hates America. They’re all fat. They’re stupid. They don’t eat organic. They eat stuff like ramen noodles and mac and cheese.”

    Hmmm. Now I’m hungry.

Laura Ingraham wasn’t through with Ariana Grande, however. She had plenty more mud to throw.

Like this gem, in which Laura Ingraham said, “The last time I checked, those poor people who like to buy donuts also bought a lot of your stupid music. So maybe you should return that money to people who like jelly donuts, who also like Ariana Grande estupido…estupida!”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozi48pKJ444

Ariana Grande did eventually apologize, saying, “I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country.”

She added, “As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole.”

Ah, to be young and have time to be concerned with what other people eat.

What do you think? Do you agree with Laura Ingraham’s statements about Ariana Grande?

  • Jennette McCurdy Sounds Off About Miley Cyrus

Jennette McCurdy was in New York City last week, looking stylish and sophisticated as she made the talk show rounds–including The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. The former Sam & Cat star was so stylish that she was asked during one interview to weigh in on Miley Cyrus. Miley’s recent style–in Paper magazine–involves dyed public hair and not much else–at all.

So what did the former Nickelodeon star have to say? Did she find fault with the former Hannah Montana star’s sense of style?

“I applaud Miley [Cyrus] in a lot of ways. I think that…she seems like, you know I don’t know her personally, but I’ve met her at a few events and she’s always very kind, and she seems like she’s really happy with what she’s doing. And I think that’s amazing,” Jennette McCurdy said.

Jennette McCurdy was in the news not so long ago about what many perceived as a big blowout with her longtime BFF Ariana Grande.

As with many things in the media, McCurdy assured everyone that feud was blown way out of proportion.

A former fan favorite in the hit show iCarly(in fact she chatted with Jimmy Fallon about an iCarly reunion), Jennette McCurdy currently stars in Between.

  • Ariana Grande Not Dating One Direction’s Niall Horan, Rants About It In Feminist Essay

Ariana Grande and Niall Horan have been such buddy-buddies recently that the rumor mill inevitably started grinding.

The Nickelodeon star is said to be dating One Direction’s Niall Horan after the two were seen together several times the past week.

The “Bang Bang” singer was initially seen arriving at Horan’s home late Tuesday evening and left at 3 am. A rep for the Scream Queen has commented that Horan just had “a big party that she attended.”

Horan was then seen arriving at Grande’s London hotel several days later, on June 3. The two then went out shopping before parting ways. But the Irish singer later went to the Langham Hotel to hang-out with Grande after having dinner with his friends.

It’s easy to see why people are eager to pair off the young singers. After all, the two are both single at the moment, Grande having split from Big Sean and Horan having just separated from his girlfriend Melissa Whitelaw.

They also have been very complimentary with one another. Grande describes Horan as “super nice” while the 1D singer is known for being enthusiastic over “The Way” hit maker’s “incredible voice.”

Unfortunately for fans and gossipmongers alike, the two are insistent that they’re just friends.

Grande has even gone on the warpath after being fed up with the rumors.

“A girl can be friends with someone with a d**k and not hop on it,” Grande exclaimed to the Sun, adding that she’s tired of people always discussing her love life.

“I’m tired of needing to be linked to a guy, I’m not Big Sean’s ex, I’m not Niall’s new possible girl. I’m Ariana Grande.”

You go, girl! Set that record straight!

Feeling that might not be enough, the Victorious singer writes about that and more in an essay that she posted on Instagram.

  • Abigail Breslin Joins Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, and More in ‘Scream Queens;’ Check Out Trailer

Abigail Breslin joins a cast of familiar faces in Fox’s upcoming Scream Queens this fall. Creator Ryan Murphy has lined up a fun cast in the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority house thriller-comedy. Joining Abigall Breslin are Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Nasim Pedrad, Skyler Samuels, and Diego Boneta.

According to imbd.com, a college campus is plagued by a series of murders following a 1995 sorority pledge that went horribly wrong. The murders mark the 20th anniversary of the original crime.

The first trailer for Scream Queens was released on Thursday.

Check out Abigail Breslin and the rest of the pledges in the first look at Fox’s new anthology.

Abigail Breslin of Little Miss Sunshine fame is now 19. She will play the role of Chanel #5–oh, yes, there are several ‘Chanels’ in Scream Queens.

Abigail Breslin presently appears in Maggie alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. Breslin plays the daughter of the former Governator. Her dad is a farmer, and she has a virus that has transformed her into a zombie.

Abigail Breslin has been a busy girl lately, and has spent lots of time in her efforts to scare people. Between Scream Queens and Maggie, she will no doubt have fans shaking in their seats at the theater and on TV.

  • Jennette McCurdy Loses Good Girl Image Going from ‘Sam & Cat’ to ‘Between’

Jennette McCurdy, star of Nickelodeon hits iCarly and Sam & Cat has given up her good girl role for a new show now filming in Toronto for Netflix and City. The Canadian survivalist thriller features Jennette McCurdy in a grown up role–one her Nickelodeon fans might not even recognize.

Called Between, it will debut simultaneously on Netflix and City–the Canadian TV network that developed the one-hour drama.

On Thursday, Jennette McCurdy chatted with The Hollywood Reporter about filming Between.

“I’m going back home next week, and I’ve grown a lot,” she said.

Believe is about a town under siege from a disease–unknown in nature–that has killed everyone, except for those aged 21 and under.

“I’ve had this personal arc,” Jennette McCurdy said. “I come from the set to home, and I feel like I’ve emotionally released myself. It’s a way to get out emotions that you may put on the back burner and put aside to act a certain role to your fans.

In the six-part TV drama, the young people–who are mostly high school students–must decide how to survive as the government quarantines the town.

Singer Ariana Grande’s former costar and BFF isn’t sure she wants her friends and family members to watch her in this latest role.

“In some ways, I don’t want them (friends and family) to watch. It’s very raw. And I’m sure, whether or not I want them to watch, they will watch the show,” she said.

“I feel Believe is really perfect,” she adds. ‘A lot of the kids that watched iCarly and Sam & Cat are getting older. This fits the bill. Already my more intense fans are very excited and eagerly awaiting the series.”

Jennette McCurdy struck a new phase in her independence while filming Believe.

“When I found out I was shooting in Toronto, I was scared to be away from my fans and friends and community for so long,” she explains. “But I also felt excited to be alone and independent. It’s turned out to be more than I could have anticipated. I’ve felt that I’ve made some great friends in Toronto.”

Between is the first Canadian production Netflix has ordered.

You can see Jennette McCurdy in this new series beginning on May 21st.

  • Carly Rae Jepsen Gets Help From Justin Bieber To Promote Her New Song

Carly Rae Jepsen has finally followed up her super-popular and incredibly catchy 2011 hit, Call Me Maybe.

Carly Rae Jepsen’s new song, “I Really Like You”, is just as catchy, if not more, and apparently the young elite love it.

Justin Bieber took it upon himself to help Carly Rae Jepsen, a fellow Canadian whom Bieber signed to his label in 2012, promote her infectious new song.

Bieber made his own crazy video of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “I Really Like You” featuring other young stars like Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, Moschino designer Jeremy Scott, Empire actor Bryshere Gray, and even Lance Bass of N*Sync fame.

The young stars recorded themselves dancing wildly and singing along to Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit in various locations of Justin Bieber’s home.

Some of the antics take place by the pool and others inside his house.

It’s somewhat of a departure from Carly Rae Jepsen’s official video for “I Really Like You”, which stars Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber.

Justin Bieber’s posting of his video for Carly Rae Jepsen’s poppy song is credited for a boost on the Billboard charts with a brief stint at number one on the list of trending tracks.

Of course, that’s not all that Justin Bieber has been up to.

Besides promoting Carly Rae Jepsen, he has been keeping his rumored girlfriend, Kendall Jenner, company.

Recently, the two were spotted at the Coachella music festival together with their friend Hailey Baldwin.

They freely shared their good times on Instagram.

  • Jennette McCurdy Decidedly NOT Feuding With Ariana Grande

Jennette McCurdy is brushing off rumors of an epic feud with Ariana Grande.

Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy obviously had some issues during their time working on their short-lived sitcom Sam & Cat.

However, Jennette McCurdy says that it’s nothing that many people who work together don’t go through.

“I just feel that, you know Ariana and I were and are extremely close and very like-minded in a lot of different ways and then, sorta as the show dissolved, everybody wanted to find some sort of hidden meaning in our relationship,” Jennette McCurdy said.

Jennette McCurdy also insinuated that perhaps the drama was drummed up a little to sell news.

Jennette McCurdy added, “Some like drama and I think we butted heads at times but in a very sisterly way. She knows me so well and I know her so well that I think it was unfortunate that things kind of got misconstrued.”

Jennette McCurdy said that the long hours working together helped her and Ariana Grande forge a friendship that, despite the rumors, will last forever.

She said, “There is certainly like a friend dynamic but then once you’re around that person for—I mean, Carly, Sam & Cat—once we didn’t have child labor laws we could work like 16 hours a day so you are around these people constantly and It’s just natural that you’re gonna have ups and downs.”

She added, “But you bond so much and you’re so close that you can’t go through that experience and…I can’t imagine a world where you would not come out extreme friends. I mean I have bonds with both Miranda Cosgrove and Ariana that are impenetrable.”

What sweet words from Jennette McCurdy!

Do you believe her or do you want to believe that there is still a feud brewing?

  • Jennette McCurdy And Ariana Grande Butted Heads “In A Sisterly Way”

Jennette McCurdy is trying really hard to dismiss rumors that there is bad blood between her and her Sam & Cat co-star, Ariana Grande.

Jennette McCurdy told E! that, of course, there was a little drama when Sam & Cat suddenly dissolved.

Jennette McCurdy said, “I just feel that, you know, Ariana and I were and are extremely close and very like-minded in a lot of different ways, and then, sort of, as the show dissolved, everybody wanted to find some sort of hidden meaning in our relationship and some drama.”

Jennette McCurdy said her and Grande butted heads sometimes, but it wasn’t any different than what any two friends that work together all the time might experience. In fact, some of the drama may have been exaggerated, just because that’s what sells.

  • Jennette McCurdy to Star in ‘Between’ on Netflix, Feuds (?) With Ariana Grande

Jennette McCurdy to Star in ‘Between’ on Netflix, Feuds (?) With Ariana Grande

Jennette McCurdy will soon star in a new drama on Netflix called Between. Fans can’t binge-watch the series, however, as there is a bit of a catch. The survivalist thriller will also be aired on Canada’s City network, as they have the first-window rights to the drama. This means City will air each episode first, and then it will be released to Netflix for airing.

Between is about a town beset by a plague that kills everyone over the age of 21. Jennette McCurdy plays Wiley Day, a pregnant woman who survived the plague and has plans to give her baby up for adoption and leave Pretty Lake–the town in which the drama takes place.

Jennette McCurdy is best known for her role as Sam Puckett on the hit Nickelodeon series Sam & Cat. In addition, she has had roles on Victorious, Zoey 101, True Jackson VP, Malcolm in the Middle, and Lincoln Heights. She also writes, produces, and stars in her own online show called What’s Next for Sarah?

In other Jennette McCurdy news, she has made headlines recently for her supposed feud with Ariana Grande, with whom she starred on Sam & Cat. She insists that things got blown way out of proportion.

“I just feel that, you know Ariana and I were and are extremely close and very like-minded in a lot of different ways and then, sorta as the show dissolved, everybody wanted to find some sort of hidden meaning in our relationship,” McCurdy said recently during an interview with E! News. “Some [people] like drama and I think we butted heads at times but in a very sisterly way. She knows me so well and I know her so well that I think it was unfortunate that things kind of got misconstrued.”

Jennette McCurdy is likely very excited about the upcoming premiere of Between–on May 21st. Maybe Ariana Grande will show the world that she and Jennette McCurdy aren’t at odds by attending a celebration of the show’s premiere.

  • Carrie Underwood Releases New Music Video, ‘Little Toy Guns’

Carrie Underwood is pregnant with her first baby, but that hasn’t kept her from making new music, and sharing that music with her fans. Underwood released a new music video for ‘Little Toy Guns’ with her fans last week.

‘Little Toy Guns’ is about how words can deeply wound children. Carrie Underwood talked about its meaning during a recent interview.

“It’s about words. It’s about a child hearing her parents fighting,” Underwood explained. “Even at a young age she realizes how much they hurt. And she wishes they were plastic and fake, like toys, and they didn’t actually cause any damage.”

The video shows a child sitting in her room by herself as she hears her mother screaming at her father.

“What do you have to say for yourself? Do you even care? It makes me sick to my stomach. I can’t believe I married you,” the wife screams at her husband.

The music video premiered on Friday via Carried Underwood’s Facebook page.

In true Carrie Underwood fashion, the emotion in this new music video runs as high as her singing talent.

In other Carrie Underwood news, the country singer appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, helping perform Queen’s ‘We Are the Champions’ along with Fallon, The Roots, Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, Usher, Meghan Trainor, One Direction, and Christina Aguilera. The a cappella version was re-written in congratulations to the New England Patriots for winning the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Are you a Carrie Underwood fan? What do you think of her new music video? Does ‘Little Toy Guns‘ not tug at your heart strings?

  • Naya Rivera: Big Sean Says He Didn’t Steal Her Rolex

Naya Rivera accused ex-fiancee Big Sean of stealing her Rolex following their split last April. The ‘I Don’t Fu*k With You’ singer talks about the accusation in February’s edition of Complex magazine, vehemently denying having stole anything at all.

“First of all, why would I have to steal a Rolex? Second of all, every Rolex that I have, I have receipts for, papers for, certificates of authenticity for. I would never steal a Rolex from anybody. You see [Naya’s] tweet got deleted in like 20 seconds,” Big Sean explains.

Yes, Naya Rivera tweeted the accusation, and yes, it was shortly thereafter deleted.

Us Weekly kept it on hand to share with their readers, however.

“@bigsean stealing rolexes from a lady’s house now. Maybe cuz I’m on Glee and making more money or something. #triflin,” Naya Rivera tweeted on April 9, 2014.

“I felt like it was unnecessary drama because in my eyes it wasn’t true. I wasn’t surprised by it. Even though I didn’t steal anything, I wasn’t surprised by it,” Big Sean added.

Big Sean released ‘I Don’t Fu*k With You‘ shortly after his very public split from Naya Rivera, and the song is said to be about the Glee star.

Naya Rivera turned the tables on Big Sean when she not only married actor Ryan Dorsey–but married him on the date she had initially planned to marry Big Sean.

What do you make of this accusation Rivera made? Do you think she did it just to get back at her ex-fiancee or do you think she really believed he stole her Rolex?

Big Sean, of course, is now linked to Ariana Grande, and in his latest song, ‘Blessings,’ is said to be singing about Grande’s private parts.

“Man, the click is the tightest, the p–sy’s the tightest,” he raps.

Is he dissing Naya Rivera with this new song? A better question might be does she even care?

He probably should be more concerned about Ariana Grande’s thoughts on him sharing information about her lady bits.

  • Meghan Trainor Isn’t Sharing Her Booty With Anyone, At Least Not Yet

Meghan Trainor may be “All About That Bass,” but she’s not at all about putting it out there for everyone to see. Known–in addition to her songs–for not wearing provocative outfits during her performances, she said recently her booty won’t be shared with just anyone.

“I was told that I started the booty song movement but no one knows what my booty looks like,” she said during a recent interview. “That’s the trick, it’s all about the mystery. I save that for my boy. Well, for whoever gets to date me one day.”

“I don’t like pointing it out, I don’t know why. I like to keep that a secret for my future hubby,” she added.

While Meghan Trainor didn’t go so far as to say she was ‘saving herself for marriage,’ she does indicate a high level of self-respect that is very often absent in many of today’s young entertainers.

When she signed with Epic Records last February she made it quite clear that there were some things she simply wasn’t going to do.

“I told them you won’t see me in a bathing suit. I love when Beyonce and all those girls were those body suits but I don’t like showing the vagina area,” she said. “I did wear a little body suit in the ‘All About That Bass’ video but I was so uncomfortable.”

Even though Meghan Trainor maintains a respectful amount of modesty, she doesn’t point fingers at or pass judgment against those who don’t.

“Everyone gives Ariana Grande crap now for being too sexy but I think she’s classy with it and if you’ve got it then rock it,” she said. “I know what I’ve got and I know which of my area’s to rock, which I do, so I don’t wanna bend over in a bathing suit on stage.”

Kudos to Meghan Trainor for her high standards and nonjudgmental ways. The “Lips Are Movin’” singer is already a great role model in the body image category. It seems like she’s a pretty good role model all the way around for today’s young girls.

  • Bette Midler Calls Ariana Grande’s Sexy Image Ridiculous

Bette Midler is not impressed with pop singer Ariana Grande, and isn’t afraid to say so.

While speaking to the U.K.’s The Telegraph, Midler slammed female singers, specifically Grande’s AMA performance on Sunday, for using sex to sell their albums.

“It’s always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, a very wholesome voice, slithering around on a couch looking so ridiculous,” the 68-year-old singer/actress told the publication.

Grande, who made a name for herself as a Disney Channel star in the original series Sam and Cat, performed at this year’s AMA awards, and her performance was full of sex appeal that did not sit well with Midler, who said she looked “silly beyond belief.”

“I mean, it’s silly beyond belief and I don’t know who’s telling her to do it,” Midler added. “I wish they’d stop. But it’s not my business, I’m not her mother. Or her manager. Maybe they tell them that’s what you’ve got to do. Sex sells. Sex has always sold.”

“Apparently people really like to pretend they’re having sex,” Midler continued. “They really like to slap each other’s butts. I mean, don’t ask me. It’s beyond me. I’m too old. I don’t know what the end game is going to be. I don’t know where you go from all that sex in your 20s. I don’t know how you sustain it.”

Midler has some advice for the young girls in the entertainment industry: “Trust your talent. You don’t have to make a whore out of yourself to get ahead. You really don’t.”

  • Meghan Trainor Raves About Ariana Grande’s Thigh-Gap

The “All About That Bass” singer recently expressed her appreciation for a body type other than her own curvy one. In an interview with Cosmopolitan.com, Meghan Trainor admitted she thought highly of Ariana Grande’s thigh-gap, or the space between her thighs.

Trainor was asked in the interview to play a game called “Bass or Treble,” in which the singer is supposed to say “bass” whenever she approves of something or “treble” when she doesn’t like it. Trainor weighed in on topics such as Peeta from The Hunger Games and Fifty Shades Of Gray, and when the subject of thigh-gaps came up, she said she liked them.

“If you rock it, bass, I don’t know. I like Ariana Grande’s nice thigh-gap. She’s got good legs,” Trainor said.

Apparently, the comment made by Trainor elicited some negative reactions on the Internet that accuse her of countering the body positive message of “All About That Bass,” which embraces being plus-sized. However, the singer reportedly knows what it’s like to be uncomfortable with her body, and wrote the song in order to convince herself that she was beautiful.

“I wrote the song as a ‘Wow, I really wish I felt like this’ … now I go out there and I’m like, ‘It’s all about this bass. It has helped a lot,” said Trainor.

It seems that the song worked as Trainor now no longer feels pressured to look the way pop stars are expected to look. “There’s no diets planned and there is no you gotta work out … I don’t do that. I ate pizza yesterday and I am eating Chinese food later today. It’s gonna be great. But so far people have actually told me I look like I’ve lost weight. I think it’s because I’ve been standing all day or dancing,” Trainor said.

Recently, Trainor announced that she would be rescheduling her Corpus Christi performance, which she postponed in September due to illness, to December 1 at the Planet 102.3 Jingle Ball. September ticket holders may exchange their tickets for the new date by November 21.

  • Meghan Trainor Talks Ariana Grande’s Thigh Gap

Meghan Trainor is ‘All About That Bass,’ and when recently playing a game called ‘Bass or Treble,’ talk turned to Ariana Grande and the ‘Problem’ singer’s thigh gap. Trainor played the game during an interview with Cosmopolitan. She was asked to determine whether she felt something was ‘bass’ or ‘treble,’ with bass being good–because she’s ‘all about it,’ and ‘treble’ being not so cool. She was then asked to label Ariana Grande’s thigh gap.

“If you rock it, bass, I don’t know,” she said. “I like Ariana Grande’s nice thigh-gap. She’s got good legs.”

What is a thigh gap, you might be asking? It is the space between one’s thighs–and this has been a really hot topic recently. Some people are criticizing the trend, however, as an unhealthy image for girls to aspire to. Beyonce has come under fire for reportedly altering her bikini pics to include a thigh gap.

Meghan Trainor doesn’t spend much time worrying about whether or not she has a thigh gap.

“I ate pizza yesterday and I am eating Chinese food later today,” she said in her interview with Cosmopolitan. “It’s gonna be great. But so far people have actually told me I look like I’ve lost weight. I think it’s because I’ve been standing all day or dancing.”

“I grew up a chubby girl. I had two brothers,” she said in a previous interview about her body image. “My parents loved us, they just fed us whatever we wanted.”

Meghan Trainor doesn’t seem like she suffered much because of the way she was raised. As a matter of fact–as evidenced in ‘All About That Bass,’ it seems like her mother taught her to feel good about herself for reasons far beyond her body shape or size–something mothers everywhere should work on with their own daughters.

Good health and the fact that people come in a variety of shapes and sizes are topics worth focusing time on–and are much more important than Ariana Grande’s thigh gap. Even though Meghan Trainor calls it ‘bass,’ she isn’t killing herself trying to attain one of her own.

  • Nicki Minaj: Jessie J’s ‘Bang Bang’ Lands Her on UK Charts

Nicki Minaj has landed on the singles chart in the U.K. for the first time ever. Jessie J’s new hit song, ‘Bang Bang‘ features both Minaj and Ariana Grande. It has hit the number one spot in the U.K. for singles–landing Nicki Minaj in a place she’s never been before.

In an ironic twist, ‘Bang Bang’ isn’t doing nearly as much for Jessie J or Ariana Grande, since both have topped the U.K. charts before. Ariana Grande hit their number one spot with her hit song ‘Problem,’ and Jessie J has had two prior number one hits in the U.K. Nicki Minaj stands to gain a lot by topping the charts there. Her U.S. hit ‘Anaconda‘ is set for its British release in October.

Check out a trailer for the ‘Bang Bang’ music video and see what all the hype is about.

Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, and Ariana Grande are in excellent company on the U.K. singles chart this week. Sigma, featuring Paloma Faith is at the number two spot with ‘Changing.’ The number three spot is filled with Taylor Swift and ‘Shake It Off.’ Calvin Harris, featuring John Newman have the number four spot with their hit single ‘Blame.’ And the number five slot is filled by Lilly Wood and Robin Schulz with ‘Prayer in C.’

Does landing at the number one spot on the British singles charts with Jessie J and Ariana Grande mean Nicki Minaj is a shoe-in for a huge hit when ‘Anaconda’ releases in the U.K. next month? How do you suppose people in those parts of the world will react to the music video if that, too, makes its way across the Atlantic?

Haven’t seen it? Oh, go ahead and check that out, too. A warning, however. As with most things related to Nicki Minaj, viewing by young children (and some adults, too) isn’t recommended.

  • Problem, Ariana Grande? Why Persistent Rumors Could Ruin Her Career

Ariana Grande may be proving that they don’t build teen pop careers that crash and burn quite like they used to.

Once upon a time the young star was allowed to peak before “Operation: Tear Down” commenced.

Grande has had a sharp rise over the past year with two very successful albums. And yet already she may be on the way out as the 21-year-old singer finds herself dogged by diva rumors and accusations that she loathes her very own fans.

What’s hurting the singer’s image most is that some of the hardest hits are coming from people with nothing visibly to gain by calling her and her team out for their treatment of her fans.

It doesn’t help that multiple celebrities have called Ariana Grande to task for ugly behavior. A few years ago it was Alexander DeLeon via Twitter:

More recently it was Guiliana Rancic speaking out about Grande’s diva attitude.

As stories leak about her unreasonable demands and less than charming behavior, it forces the casual observer to ask a few questions.

First, where the HELL are her PR people?! Oh that’s right, the same people managing her career are in charge of keeping tabs on Justin Bieber.

Nothing more need be said about how well that’s gone over the past couple of years.

Next question: What is Grande herself doing to improve her image?

To be honest, not that much.

Grande may think that a badly typed dismissal and insistence that haters “love themselves” is enough to calm things down, but it simply isn’t. Not with all the bad press in recent weeks.

Not when famous and non-famous individuals all emerge with the same story: “Ariana Grande is an obnoxious two-faced diva”.

The only question that remains is whether or not this supposed revelation will permanently derail Grande’s career.

Unfortunately for the young singer, the answer to this burning question is that it’s highly possible.

Even though Grande is very talented, it doesn’t change the fact that if young people feel that you are an insincere individual to whom they can form no emotional connection, they won’t buy your music or go to your concerts.

If the backlash reaches her fan base, then Grande will be in serious trouble.

It would actually be smart of Grande to change her image up.

Moving on to a new sound and a more grown-up image could generate enough buzz to counteract the negative stories daily written about the “Problem” singer.

  • Pics Of Ariana Grande Said To Share A Bizarre Pattern

If you look at enough pictures of singer Ariana Grande, you may notice something a bit strange.

Like the fact that more often than not, you are looking at the left side of the singer’s face.

It’s not so unusual to be more likely to see certain angles of celebrities in photo shoots than others.

The celeb’s features are often played up in an effort to make him or her look their best, with heavy photoshopping taking care of any perceived flaws.

Of course, in an age where heavily photoshopped celebrity pictures are the norm, one has to wonder why there’s so much emphasis on one side of the 21-year-old singer’s face.

Well the supposed answer to the left-side-of-face question may surprise you.

Allegedly Grande is sensitive to being photographed in a certain way because one side of her face has a cute little dimple and the other side has no dimple whatsoever.

    That’s basically it.

While this supposed demand (Grande denies this and other recent accusations) may seem like a bit much, there is some science that backs up the desire to be viewed from the left.

Apparently when looking at an individual, humans tend to prefer the left side of their face. It’s somehow seen as “more pleasant”.

While it’s hard to say whether or not Grande’s hitting us hard with the left side of her face was based on previous scientific research, it must be said that in the end it’s really not THAT big a deal.

Grande recently responded to the many rumors about her via Twitter, declaring the diva accusations to be outright lies.

Said Grande, “[M]an some of these rumors that have been coming out about me lately actually have me laughing out loud.”

She instead encouraged fans and others to focus more on giving love than giving into hate.

Interestingly enough, nothing was said about the right side of her face.
