  • Stacey Dash Retaliates To Anthony Anderson Diss

Stacey Dash is embroiled in yet another feud and she continues to stand her ground and defend her controversial views.

Her most recent detractor is Black-ish star Anthony Anderson, who hosted this year’s NAACP Image Awards. After an explosive rap performance, Anderson went on to deliver his monologue, in which he acknowledged the accomplishments of various black artists and tackled the diversity issue and Oscars boycott campaign.

He then went on to call on the first presenter: Stacey Dash. Obviously making a joke, Anderson proceeded to criticize Dash’s controversial comments on BET and Black History Month and called her “an Ann Coulter dipped in butterscotch.”

“Everybody give a round of applause for Stacey Dash! What the hell is she doing here? Doesn’t she know that the Fox network is using her? She’s just an Ann Coulter dipped in butterscotch. That’s all she is.”

After a mixture of applause and tense reactions, Anderson quickly switched gears and recognized the donations of various black artists to the water shortage in Flint, Michigan.

Upon hearing about Anderson’s remarks, Stacey Dash promptly took to Twitter to fire back at the actor.

“Well it’s funny how woman who weighs 105 wet! Can get grown ass men to act like little girls!” said her tweet.

Stacey Dash has gained notoriety for her conservative views, which she often airs on the show Fox & Friends. During an appearance on the show in January, the Clueless actress suggested that black-oriented networks and events like BET, Image Awards, and even Black History month have no place in America as they promote “segregation” instead of “integration.”

She also weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding the casting of Joseph Fiennes – a white man – to play Michael Jackson in an upcoming film about the King of Pop.

“I say, BRAVO!” wrote Stacey Dash on her blog. “I’m sick and tired of being told ‘Sorry, Stacey, this is a Caucasian-only role.’”

  • Tracee Ellis Ross Is ‘Black-ish’ In New ABC Comedy

The daughter of Diana Ross is set to star in a new comedy on ABC called black-ish, which premieres on Wednesday, September 24 at 9:30 PM. Tracee Ellis Ross, daughter of the legendary diva and her first husband, music producer Robert Ellis Silberstein, plays the biracial mother of an African-American family coming to terms with its affluence.

The show’s lead is played by Anthony Anderson, who lends humor to the character of Andre, a hardworking employee of an advertising agency. When Andre is promoted to the position of vice president of “urban” marketing, he wonders if he was given the post just because he was black. Ross’s character of what the Los Angeles Register calls “semi-exasperated wife” tells him to stop worrying, and when she’s told that she doesn’t understand his predicament because she’s half white, she shoots back, “If I’m not, uh, really black, can someone please tell my hair and my ass?”

Ross apparently relates well to her character of Rainbow Johnson. “Although I am not a mother and a wife, I am a mixed woman and I do understand these feelings she’s going through. The show’s not about being fresh. It’s about telling the truth. And I think that comes across in the lines,” she said.

The 41-year-old actress had previously worked with black-ish creator Kenya Barris on Girlfriends, and he reportedly wrote her parts with the knowledge of Ross’s speech rhythms in mind. Executive producer Larry Wilmore believes that a good cast is what will make the show successful. “Anthony is very gifted and he has known Tracee for years. She is so natural and lovable. When she read [for the part], we all said, ‘Why should we even look at anybody else?’” Wilmore said.

Ross claims that her penchant for comedy came from her father, and not her singing mother. “I got it from my father because he’s a Jew from Jersey,” she said.
