  • Amy Winehouse: Former Husband, Blake Fielder, Feels ‘Guilty’ Over The Singer’s Death, Seeks Forgiveness From Her Dad

    The former husband of Amy Winehouse, Blake Fielder, is denying that he “ruined” the late singer’s life. However, guilt over what happened to Winehouse lingers.

    Although Fielder claims he didn’t ruin her live, he told The Times Magazine he does “feels guilty” over what happened to the singer. He also said he’d welcome the opportunity to speak with the father of Amy Winehouse, Mitch Winehouse, to ask for his forgiveness.

    Blake Fielder has been the target of much speculation, including allegations that he introduced Amy Winehouse, who died of alcohol poisoning in 2011, to hard drugs after they got together.

    Mitch Winehouse once called Fielder “the biggest low-life scumbag that God ever put breath into.”

    Fielder says those claims are not really fair.

    “I don’t think I ruined her, no. I think we found each other and certain people need to realise that she did have other addictions before she met me,” he said. “I feel like my own legacy as far as Amy goes is that I ruined this amazing person.”

    He thinks if that was true, he would struggle to live through every day.

    “She wasn’t a happy, well-adjusted young woman, you know, and I find it disrespectful to imply I was some Machiavellian puppet master,” he said of his relationship with Amy Winehouse.

    “I’d like to speak to Mitch and genuinely, genuinely plea for his forgiveness,” said Fielder. “But I won’t take responsibility for Amy passing away because it’s not fair.”

    A long-awaited documentary, Amy, made by Senna director Asif Kapadia, will be released on July 3.

    Anna Nicole Smith would no doubt be proud of her daughter, eight-year-old Dannielynn Birkhead. She grows to look more like her late mom with every passing year.

    As has been customary for the past five years, Larry Birkhead–who is raising his and Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter–dressed Dannielynn up to the nines and brought her to the Kentucky Derby this past weekend.

    According to a report from Us Weekly, Dannielynn Birkhead wore a pastel pink Monsoon dress and matching headband to the Kentucky Derby. Dad Larry Birkhead matched his little girl perfectly, sporting a pink jacket and tie.

    “It took me two months to get my daughter’s outfit together–shopping, and mixing and matching,” Larry Birkhead said.

    In true Anna Nicole Smith form, Dannielynn even picked out her dad’s Kentucky Derby ensemble.

    “She had my outfit ready–she said, ‘Dad, you have to wear this outfit,’ then she said ‘It doesn’t look right, you’ll embarrass me, so wear this [instead],’” Birkhead added.

    It’s easy to see that Dannielynn Birkhead is growing up with plenty of love and attention–and that her dad isn’t neglecting the special fashion attention that Anna Nicole Smith would have wanted him to pay to their daughter. Whenever the two are spotted in public, Dannielynn looks like a million bucks.

    Anna Nicole Smith died of a drug overdose at the age of 39, back in 2007. Dannielynn was just a baby at the time of her passing.

    Dannielynn Birkhead, the daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead, was at the Kentucky Derby this weekend with her dad. The eight-year-old grows to look more like her famous mom with each passing year.

    Always a little fashion plate, Dannielynn Birkhead was dressed to the nines for the Kentucky Derby, sporting a pastel pink Monsoon dress and matching headband, as reported by Us Weekly.

    Dad Larry Birkhead matched his little girl perfectly, as he sported a pink jacket at tie that more than rose to the festive occasion.

    With Louisville being their hometown, this is the fifth year in a row that Larry and Dannielynn Birkhead have appeared together at Churchill Downs. Larry spoke to the Courier-Journal the night before the big race.

    Anna Nicole Smith’s Estate Is Not Entitled To Late Husband’s Money, Final Ruling

    The long-running court case that Anna Nicole Smith first filed in 1996 for a portion of the Marshall wealth has finally come to an end in federal court. The final ruling maintained that Smith –more precisely, her estate– is not entitled to the estate of her former husband, Texas billionaire, J. Howard Marshall II.

    When 89-year-old Marshall died, he left his entire estate to his son, E. Pierce Marshall.  This was in 1995, fourteen months after being married to then 26-year-old, former Playboy model, Smith.

    Smith, whose legal name is Vickie Lynn Marshall, claimed that she was promised by her late husband more than $300million in inheritance, and took the matter to court.

    Due to Smith’s filing for bankruptcy, among other complications, the case was heard in various local and federal courts. It had gone on to outlive both Smith, who died in 2007 because of a drug overdose, and the Marshall son, E. Pierce, who passed on in 2006.

    Smith’s estate pursued the case on behalf of her daughter, eight-year-old Dannielynn Birkhead.  Birkhead’s lawyers have attempted to win sanctions from the Marshall family for delays and obfuscation tactics of the deceased heir and his lawyers. As Smith’s only living heir, she would have been about $44 million richer had the courts ruled in her favor.

    On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge David O. Carter dismissed their attempts as moot since Birkhead’s lawyers failed to provide sufficient evidence of actual damages.

    “The Court also must consider the very real concerns attendant in sanctioning Pierce Marshall, who is deceased and therefore cannot be present, cannot attend the hearing, and cannot answer for himself the allegations against him.” said Carter.

    Carter added that too much time and energy had been spent on the case and ought to be ended.   “Time spent litigating the relationship between Vickie Lynn and J. Howard has extended for nearly five times the length of their relationship and nearly twenty times the length of their marriage. It is neither reasonable nor practical to go forward.”

  • Anna Nicole Smith’s Estate Loses Again In Money Claim

    Anna Nicole Smith passed away in 2007 of an accidental overdose, but her estate–which is controlled by lawyer and close friend Howard K. Stern–has been in litigation with her deceased husband’s family for the last several years. Now, 20 years after she married oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall and 19 years after his death, a judge has ruled that there will be no more court time for the claims.

    Smith claimed after Marshall died that he had promised her over $300 million, but his will stipulated that everything be left to his son. Her estate has continued to battle the Marshall family in court long after her death, but to no avail.

    “Time spent litigating the relationship between Vickie Lynn and J. Howard has extended for nearly five times the length of their relationship and nearly twenty times the length of their marriage. It is neither reasonable nor practical to go forward,” U.S. District Court Judge David O. Carter said on Monday.

    Smith was awarded $88 million after suing Marshall’s son, E. Pierce, for interfering in what she said was her husband’s attempt to set up a trust for her. However, a lengthy trial concluded in Pierce Marshall’s favor, and his father’s will was deemed valid.

    Smith has a daughter, Dannielynn, who currently lives–far from the Hollywood spotlight–in Kentucky with her father Larry Birkhead. Dannielynn stood to inherit as much as $49 million if the court had ruled in favor of her mother’s estate.

  • Dannielynn Birkhead To Appear On “Wife Swap”

    Dannielynn Birkhead, the 7-year old daughter of Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead, will reportedly appear on an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap soon with her father.

    The show–which usually switches two moms out for a week to let them see how another (and, unsurprisingly, opposite) household works–will feature Larry’s sister because he is unmarried.

    “I am not married so I swapped my sister with the wife of race car driver Hélio Castroneves,” Birkhead said.

    As for life with the very famous child of infamous model and reality star Anna Nicole, Birkhead says their home in Kentucky makes it easy to stay out of the spotlight until they want to.

    “We live in Kentucky and it’s kind of a paparazzi free zone,” Birkhead said on Today. “I’m being both parents, so I think that I just try to give her a good foundation and try to just be there for her at all times.”

    The dad-and-daughter duo recently appeared in a documentary on E! about life after Anna Nicole’s tragic death and what it’s like for Birkhead to be a single dad. He says it’s difficult to do all the things a little girl wants to do with her mom and know Dannielynn will never have that; however, his family is nearby to help in trying to give her a “normal” life.

    The 7-year old is now a model for Guess Kids after following in her famous mother’s footsteps, but Birkhead says he makes sure she’s grounded.

    “15 minutes after she was done with the Guess photo, she was back on book reports,” he said. “For her it was something cool. Her mother was a Guess girl and now she is a Guess girl.”

  • Courtney Stodden Has New Older Man

    Courtney Stodden has a new older man in her life. The 19-year-old left her 53-year-old hubby, Doug Hutchinson, just a few weeks ago. She was spotted at an event in L.A. with Beverly Hills publicist Edward Lozzi on Thursday evening.

    A rep for Stodden claims the two are definitely not a couple, however.

    “They are just friends. They met at a prior event,” her rep said in an interview with FOX411.

    Do you see a trend here? Courtney Stodden–wth the full support of her parents–has transformed herself into a busty beauty, replete with what most believe to be implants that are far too large for her tiny frame. She married Doug Hutchinson before she was even legal–again with permission from her (wacky) parents. Now she is seemingly enthralled with an even wealthier older–Lozzi is also 53–man.

    Edward Lozzi was a White House Press Advance staffer under President Bush during the 1990s. He is the founder of a Beverly Hills public relations firm. Do you see where Courtney Stodden’s train of thought likely is regarding this man? Just imagine the publicity he could afford the camera-hungry ‘wannabe.’

    The real question here is whether or not Lozzi will bite. Will he seen a future–either personal or professional–with the publicity-mongering 19-year-old who has no known talent? After all, she became a household name for marrying Doug Hutchinson at the age of 16.

    Of course it should be mentioned that Edward Lozzi had a former girlfriend who, for all intents and purposes, looked and acted a lot like Courtney Stodden. He dated the late Anna Nicole Smith.

    Courtney Stodden’s rep can say what he or she wants to the press. There are some very interesting dynamics in play here. From the similarity in age to Doug Hutchinson and her dream to be a star, Courtney sees something she feels she needs and can possibly get from Edward Lozzi. And who knows? Lozzi may take the bait–along with a few fringe benefits. It’s entirely possible that Anna Nicole Smith saw something in the publicist, too, besides an older man with lots of money and connections.

    When Anna Nicole Smith died in 2007, she had been in a lengthy, no-holds-barred battle with her millionaire husband’s estate lawyers over money she claimed was hers. Now, a judge has ruled that her daughter is entitled to some of it.

    Smith married Howard Marshall in 1994; despite their 62-year age difference, she said she was in love with him and didn’t care about his money. When he died a year later, his family claimed he’d left nothing to her in his will even though she said he’d promised her $300 million. The case hopped around from court to court, with Smith awarded millions only to have the amount reduced drastically when it went to federal court. In 2010, a jury found that Marshall’s will should be upheld and that his estate be handed over to his son, Pierce Marshall.

    “J. Howard’s wishes were always perfectly clear: He gave Anna Nicole Smith approximately $8 million in gifts during his lifetime, and those gifts were all that he intended to give her,” said Eric Brunstad, the Marshalls’ lawyer.

    Now, however, a California judge says that Marshall’s attorneys didn’t play fair and left out vital documents from Smith’s estate lawyers after her death. He says her daughter, Danielynn, may be entitled to as much as $49 million in sanctions against Marshall’s family.

    Dannielynn, who is just six years old, is being raised by her father, Larry Burkhead.

    Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn, has made appearances on the Kentucky Derby red carpet before, but this year she outdid herself in the outfit department, and her dad played along.

    6-year old Dannielynn must have a fondness for flying nannies, because she wanted to dress as Mary Poppins for the event. But she didn’t go it alone; her dad, Larry Birkhead, dressed as Dick Van Dyke’s character from the film, Bert. The duo had their costumes custom made for the night and Dannielynn was glowing as she posed for photographers. She’s had some experience; last year, Dannielynn was chosen to be the face of Guess Kids, following in her famous mom’s footsteps.

  • Dannielynn Birkhead Dresses Up for the Kentucky Derby

    Dannielynn Birkhead, the five-year daughter of Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead, made a rare appearance at this year’s Kentucky Derby in Louisville. Wearing a flowery hat and a floral dress, the little girl seemed to enjoy her time at Churchill Downs over the weekend. She looks like a happy, well-adjusted little girl, which is good considering the vast amount of extreme sadness that swept over her life during her infancy.

    Birkhead, who was eager to separate his daughter from the lifestyle that ultimately claimed the life of her mother, decided move Dannielynn back to his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Her mother, as you may recall, died when she was just five months old. His eagerness to keep her away from the madness and mayhem that consumed her family is entirely understandable.

    However, nothing from the past seemed to darken their Derby Day experience.

    Dannielynn spent the day with her father, checking out horses and attempting to navigate the tricky waters of the Turf Club. The little girl’s visit to Churchill Downs must have been bittersweet for Larry, as this was the place where he met Dannielynn’s mother back in 2004.

    When asked how his daughter was enjoying the event, Birkhead stated, “She is having a great day but is more excited to go to Toys ‘R’ Us after the race.” Strangely, I can totally relate to that. However, something tells me that Dannielynn and her father will be back next year.
